You think it's too late for us, Mom? I don't know. We're pretty different kind of people. We're never going to have a normal life. No, not that. I mean...do you think it's too late for us?

There’s this thing I’ve been feeling about Creep that I haven’t really been able to pin down, so I’m going to try to in a text post lol.
I know most of you are probably kind of sick of this but I can’t help it I love to word vomit on this app..
While the Creep movies are psychological horror above all, I think there’a an underlying theme of what it’s like to be an artist that isn’t discussed a whole lot.
I don’t see it as much in the first movie but the theming is a lot stronger in Creep 2. Aaron and Sara have both reached the same point in their artistic lives and both represent the same “big fish”.
Sara finding her challenge with Aaron that she wasn’t expecting, that launches her out of her creative rut in ways she could have never predicted. She plays the same role with Aaron, changing his perspective on his own “art” by equally challenging him.
It mirrors the process of collaborative art in a very odd way! Especially the middle/end part of the film where Aaron and Sara are just bouncing off of each other and having fun!
That’s why Sara is the perfect victim to escape from Aaron. They’re mirrors of eachother, immovable object and an unstoppable force.
But anyways, I think both movies go to show the lengths that creatives will go to improve themselves, and while The Creep takes advantage of people in that position he is simultaneously in that same position himself.

Codependency. Co. Dependency. It's one of those big, confusing words floating around that you don't even pay attention to. Until it happens to you. And at first it sounds great, you know? You love someone and you need someone so much that you can't properly function without them? Uh, yes, please!
