His name is Rumblehoof because he’s heavy and I cheesed out a base movement speed of 90ft per turn, 135ft the turn he rages thanks to Tasha’s.
He’s a former bandit lord (level 11, he’s allowed big backstory (my old character Sir Bertram of Queen Adonia’s court was turned into a Lemure)) now a servant/cleaner/“cleaner” thanks to tricksy fey.
He’s going to link up with a human sorcerer who lights shit on fire, a half-elf Druid that eats dirt, and a goblin wizard who taught themselves time magic because they killed a researcher on the verge of a breakthrough and stole his magic book
And we’re going to save the world from dragons
the big man He'rook Rumblehoof
my roomate @cigarettemother once again coerced me into a free commission of his dnd character

thinking about the dnd au....
are ZITS a part of it at all? I could imagine Skizz as a paladin or a fighter, with high charisma stats. Tango would have to be some kind of sorcerer or maybe an artificer, and Impulse....hmmmm....im not sure for him yet. Zed would absolutely be an alchemist, making what he calls "experimental" potions and testing them by hurling them at enemies
anyway your au lives rent free in my brain and I'm gonna start writing the 5 + 1 fic this week :]
i'm not 100% sure about zed yet (because idk if i wanna include any non-life series people) but impulse, tango and skizz are definitely there!!!!!!!!
impulse is a dwarf-tiefling (which is possible because i say so) and a rune knight fighter!! i think it'd be so cool for him to carve runes into armor and weapons to keep his friends safe... to me it feels properly "technical" while also being sorta creative and artsy? :D
tango is a battle smith artificer!!! little robot maker!! mini game man!!! he's also a fire genasi because it's just perfectly him :D impulse and tango run a blacksmith together!!!
and skizz is an aasimar (basically someone with celestial ancestry) and a path of the ancestral guardian barbarian!!! i love the idea of a barbarian with a heart of gold,,, a protector,,,, his backstory isn't really developed yet, but he's basically a guard for hire at this point in the process :D
gkfjdgkgdfg ohhhhhhhh i'm so excited hehe

Now that I am in my D&D era, here are the D&D classes and subclasses I think my Dragon Age Next Gen kids would have.
Lena: human Peace Domain Cleric (DA spec - Spirit Healer Mage) Lena is a healer more than a standard D&D wizard, and the peace domain fits her dislike of conflicts. She's also Aveline's daughter so she can have a shield, as a treat.
Mael: half elf Scout Rogue (DA spec - Artificer Rogue) Finally Alistair's kids can have visible elven ancestry ! Despite the name, Mael is not a D&D artificer, just an archer with traps. There are no traps in D&D but scout has ambush at least.
Ailis: half elf Oath of Redemption Paladin (DA spec - Guardian Warrior) Ailis is a tank; redemption's one of the tankiest paladins, and fits her sunny personality more than crown. She's also probably the most andrastian of the next gen lineup.
Kieran: half elf Circle of Stars Druid (DA spec - Shapeshifter Mage) Hear my arguments before judging: Kieran is raised by a swamp witch, has a weird insight on the world, and these star druids can wildshape into the Dragon constellation.
Tini: hill dwarf Gloom Stalker Ranger (DA spec - Shadow Rogue) I feel like out of all my Dragon Age rogues, Tini was the one to be an actual D&D rogue but I don't think any other subclass fits shadow as well as gloom stalker.
Rengar: hill dwarf Alchemist Artificer (DA spec - Tempest Rogue) Ren's shenanigans are closer to the Inquisition multiplayer Alchemist, but it's not an official spec. D&D alchemist fits okay with the potions and nuisance potential.
Endrin: hill dwarf Champion Warrior (DA spec - Berserker Warrior) I could have gone barbarian, but it feels better suited for reaver than berserker, which is a make number go up spec; champion is focused on crits which is close enough.
Connor: human Fiend Warlock (DA spec - Rift Mage) In DAO canon, Connor becomes a rift mage, studying the Fade in Tevinter, but this seems less true for Inquisition Connor. Let's bring back the desire demon for some angst instead.
Pernille: human College of Swords Bard (DA spec - Duelist Rogue) The warrior spec I wanted for her, Chevalier, only exists in lore; next best option was the rogue spec Duelist. A tie between swashbuckler and bard but bard felt more orlesian.
And adding a new kid to the lineup:
Iloren: wood elf Path of the Wild Heart Barbarian (DA spec - Reaver) Listen: wolf rage.
