Thank you for your support in my week off and thank you to everyone who reached out to offer kind words (I didn’t share a lot of the messages bc I’m selfish and wanted to keep the good vibes forever). I’m starting new meds this week and I’m hoping they will help balance out the amount of bad brain days I’ve been having lately

latibule by wolver - Travis Konecny/Nolan Patrick (Explicit, 40k) - PLEASE read the tags before starting this one. This fic does revolve around an OC who is homophobic. As a queer person, I did not personally find these parts hard to read however I can see how some can. I had a harder time dealing with the reactions from the rest of the team as opposed to Gilly. This fic was unlike anything I’ve ever read in hockey RPF before. I dove in basically the second the last part was posted and loved it. Established TK/Patty. Angst but tender moments.

all along there was some (invisible) string tying you to me by @crooked-silence - Cale Makar/Nathan MacKinnon (General, 5k) - Okay I know I’ve already reblogged a post about this fic buuut it’s too good to not include in this. I’ve never had a fic leave me as heartbroken yet still satisfied as this one. CS manages to build up this lore and tell a beautiful story in just 5,000 words and I just think that’s neat. Did this fic lead me down a Nate/Cale rabbit hole? MAYBE

caused a scene by @notthequiettype - Jamie Benn/Tyler Seguin (Explicit, 1047) - Honestly you should just do yourself a favor and go read Ash’s entire Halloween series because all of them have been so great BUT this one. HO BOY. I needed a minute to gather myself after I read this one. Short and so very hot.

retrograde by lotts(LottieAnna) - JT Compher/Tyson Jost (Explicit, 32k) - @puckingawesomerecs posted a rec for this one last week and I’ve never clicked on and started reading anything faster. I’m always a sucker for JT/Josty and normally their fics tend to be super angsty but this one was far from that. Josty is a team photographer for the Avs and “meets” JT at an organization event and well, just go read it.

cat & fish by @pencilhoarders - Travis Konecny/Nolan Patrick (Mature, 3135) - Any crack written at 2am is always solid gold in my book. The thought of TK being a flat earther has not left my brain since I read this. I would just *love* to see how their date went, Mio.

River for the Sea by LoveLeah - Travis Konecny/Nolan Patrick (Explicit, 39k) - Because sometimes you just need a non-hockey AU. There are some things in this that are hard to read (homophobic language, homphobia in general) BUT I think the story overall is well worth it. I’ve been watching this grad school AU for a while now, just waiting on it to complete so that I could devour it and it was well worth the wait. Also there is bonus Joel and Morgan just being good dudes™️ and I just love that. Full warning though, some of the things that Travis deals with in this fic hit extremely close to me as a queer person not supported by family and I cried and had to be comforted by cat pictures by @softgrantaire so just keep that in mind. If you are also affected in this manner, I can help with cat/dog pics!

Dive or Women Want Me, Fish Also Want Me by notthequiettype - Travis Konecny/Nolan Patrick (Explicit, 3561) - This is a Tuesday Fic Club first (I think) to include multiple fics by the same author and that was most definitely not that plan UNTIL I WAS LAYING IN BED LAST NIGHT AND THIS FIC POPPED UP. Patfish and “Ol fish fucker Konecny” will now live rent free in my brain for the foreseeable future. the idea of travis just being into patty in any form is just perfect
