✨Bandanna Time✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I made this bandanna using a tutorial on YouTube from the content creator Passioknit Kelsie!
*Bonus edit: had left over and made a mini one with no fancy stuff. Made the strings single crochet rather than slip stitches!
I ended up using a size 3 compared yarn to a size 4 because I had this leftover skein of lion brand ice cream yarn (cake batter). This meant, I had to put in a few extra rows to compensate for the smaller yarn despite using the same size hook as in the tutorial.
I also took some liberties when it went to the point as this was based off the scalloped bandanna tutorial that was recently posted.
It took me about four hours the first day to get most of the bandanna done, and then the second day was just finishing up the last two rows and adding in the scallops and strings.
Overall, they actually fit pretty good and I was right on the money with the measurements since when I reached up the initial 10 rows it felt too small so I had to add an additional 10 rows to it.
All the wall it was really fun experience and I got to learn a new way to make use of crochets.
Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful day.
Art done by me, misskazehana

Finished this cozy granny poncho!! I've had this green yarn for EVER and it's already been frogged at least once, so it feels great to finally have it made into something I love :> the hood turned out so huge and fairytaley which is just what I wanted
Pattern: for the body I used the (free) Boho Poncho pattern from Lion Brand, though I changed up the edging. The hood is based on the 'Crochet Granny Stitch Hood Tutorial' by PassioKnit Kelsie on YouTube
Yarn: The body yarn is from King Cole, but I've had it so long I have no idea what it was - I think it may even have been discontinued :''( The lining is Stylecraft 'That Colour Vibe' in 'Joy' and 'Bold'

Started making a granny hexagon cardigan on Saturday because they looked really fun and ive been thinking about crocheting clothes like wraps and cardigans and vests and other things for a while.
I am having a blast and it's a great project to start making clothes with. This YouTube tutorial by PassioKnit Kelsie has been very easy to follow and super helpful. It also no sew, which is great because I'm terrible at sewing 😅

simple little bag project i made over an evening and morning between other bigger projects, using some yarn i was gifted. i’ve been watching passioknit kelsie’s crochet vlogs heaps recently and been wanting to try making a mesh bag! not something i would’ve bought for myself, but i actually rlly enjoyed how the colours worked up, and the worsted weight cotton combined w the mesh made this super fast! and it used up exactly one skein, so i’ll probably use the second one to make the same thing and gift one to someone.

One of the first wearables I ever made. It doesn't quite fit the way its supposed to since I was pretty new at this, but it covers the important bits so I'm happy with it. Looks good too.

Hi, Mike! Hope you're having a good day.
I saw your tiny sweater. Can't stop thinking about it. It's! Just! lovely!!! Have you made the pattern yourself or found it on the internet? It looks good and i'm in search of a new outfit for my crochet mouse.
Hello! I’m glad you liked it, I’ve really been enjoying that pattern lately. I’m pretty new to larger crochet projects and it has been a great way for me to practice.
I used PassioKnit Kelsie’s Granny Hexagon Cardigan tutorial on YouTube as my starting point. For my tiny version, I used fingering weight yarn and a 3 mm hook. Being so small, mine only needed two rounds of granny clusters, and I connected the tops of the sleeves on the third round. The amount of rounds you do really just depends on how big you want it to be.
I hope that helps! ❤️

Finally did something with the Pisolithus dye!
Dyed some white cotton yarn (very incorrectly, do not follow the method you see here unless you also want to spend 3 days untangling an entire skein of yarn) and made it into this ribbed crop top. It wasn't quite as dark as I wanted it so I went in with some Rit mixes as well.
I've since been embroidering it and made a modification to the back closure. Will post final shots when it feels more complete.
I followed the "Willow Top" video tutorial by PassioKnit Kelsie which you can find here:

The beginnings of some experimentation with the dyeballs! Found 3 suitable friends in the park this morning and heres a look at the prepping process.
I used only one for this first test (2nd photo) using them fresh. The rest will be dried and tested in future experiments. They were thinly sliced and any excess spore powder on the older one was cut away. Its the black colored flesh around the peridioles (the lil yellow bits, they're like packets where spores are produced) that imparts the pigment. Then they were simply boiled in 4 cups of water!
I'll post updates on how the tests go and give details on fabric types and timing!!

Phobos is DONE! If I could listen to this guy shred every moment of every day, I think it would solve all my problems. We love you Ant Man!
This top is another lovely pattern from Passioknit Kelsie on YT- I made a few alterations, and this is the most complicated top I’ve made this far. I think it came out pretty good!
