Guided by Zaf, the party flew on the back of the Roc to Keldabjoð a flat floating mote of earth several miles across, covered in lush green fields and an extremely large house and garden. Before they could land, however, a flock of peryton flew to meet them, defending the property. The roc was faster, and flew through the flock.

Mel brought it to a hover, however, when they were met by a cloud giant of uncertain gender, flying and dressed in beautiful clothes and gems. They were wearing an ornate metal mask, one half smiling, one half frowning, and Mel greeted them and introduced themselves as merchants and procurers of extraordinary goods, like the roc they were flying on.

The giant introduced themselves as Vozharas, and said that they had come at a bad time to trade for pegasi; the flock much diminished, but it was their brothers they should speak to. They invited the party to land, and they realised what they had first thought was thunder was in fact an argument in giant occurring within the house.

Kaipo cast comprehend languages and learned the argument concerned a deal; one giant was worried that the djinn would find out where the pegasi had gone, and the other was convinced he was just jealous of the fabulous prize he had traded them for.

Vozharas owned none of the pegasi themselves and told the party they were best talking to their brothers.

The party noted a small flock of pegasi in the field, only a dozen individuals, and then wandered through a garden full of vast plants and fruit trees.

The argument had lulled and the party was met at the entrance by a giant, who quickly called his brother. They were Tholnus and Sukter, and the former was in a bad mood. They accepted their story as merchants but demanded a gift as was fitting for such lordly creatures as themselves. The party handed over the pair of magical fans they took from the corpse of the undead master of the Monastary of the Fifth Gale, and the giants invited them in to gaze upon their collection of valuables.

Sukter was most proud of their latest acquisition, a peacock made of precious metals and stones that could move and sing and do magic. Mel asked about it, where it had come from, that similar trades might be done. Sukter was happy to tell them it was the City of Brass, but Tholnus strode out, slamming the door, to talk to their sibling.

Although Kaipo used suggestion magic, Sukter resisted telling them any further specifics, and quickly got tired of talking to ‘little creatures’ and told them the audience was over.

Ris had an idea that the other brother might be more approachable, she’d heard him venting to Vozharas outside. Perhaps he could be persuaded to reverse the deal, and in the process help the partytrack down Zoda.

They found Tholnus alone, Vozharas having retreated inside, watching over the last remaining pegasai. He was a little suspicious of the party’s motives, but agreed that reversing the deal might be for the best. To do that, however, he would have to return the peacock, and that would mean stealing it from his brother and attuning to it himself to hand it back.

The party said they were up to the task, and Tholnus smuggled them into the kitchen in his pockets to begin the heist. He said Sukter would have to take a nap eventually, in the meantime they could plan their heist.

Adjust raises $227M to measure mobile ads and prevent fraud

Adjust is announcing that it has raised $227 million in new funding.

The company, founded in Berlin back in 2012, has created a variety of ad measurement and anti-fraud tools — CEO Christian Henschel said the goal is to “make marketing simpler, smarter and safer.” Adjust says it’s now being used in more than 25,000 mobile apps for customers like NBCUniversal, Zynga, Robinhood, Pinterest and Procter & Gamble.

It’s been nearly four years since the company raised its previous round of $15 million. Henschel (pictured above with his co-founder and CTO Paul Müller) told me the company was already profitable back then, and it’s continued to be profitable while growing revenue by an average of 80 percent every year. So it raised more money (a lot more), he said, “because we saw the opportunity … to grow our business even further.”

Henschel pointed to three broad areas where Adjust is planning to invest and grow. First, there’s combating fraud, where he said the company was “very early,” first launching its mobile fraud prevention suite in 2016. It expanded its offerings earlier this year with the acquisition of Unbotify.

Second, he said Adjust will continue to invest in automation and aggregation — an area where it made another recent acquisition, namely the data aggregation company Acquired.io.

“We’re giving our customers the ability to get rid of the repetitive and boring tasks and really focus them back on thigns that human beings are very good at — that is creativity,” Henschel said.

Adjust expands its anti-ad fraud tech by acquiring Unbotify

Lastly, the company (which already has 350 employees in 15 offices worldwide) will continue to invest in customer service and geographic expansion, particularly in Asia.

Speaking of acquisitions, Adjust says it’s also partnered with Japanese marketing agency Adways and acquired Adways’ attribution tool PartyTrack. So naturally, you might assume that this new capital means  even more deals are in the works, but Henschel said, “Acquisitions are always tough — it’s hard to find the right companies, and even harder to integrate them.”

In other words, he’s open to acquiring more companies, but he said, “We don’t have any plans right now.”

This new round brings Adjust’s total funding to $250 million. It was led by Eurazeo Growth, Highland Europe, Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners and Sofina.

“Adjust reached profitability just three years after its creation, and has seen extraordinary growth since then,” said Eurazeo Growth’s Yann du Rusquec in a statement. “The company is ideally positioned to further expand its product and footprint throughout 2019 and beyond, cementing its position as one of the most successful global tech champions to come out of Europe.”

BSH ENDLICH ERWACHSEN HERUNTERLADEN

Das rückt den Protagonisten Bass Sultan Hengzt leider zu sehr in den Hintergrund und lässt ihn austauschbar wirken. Ich bin bekanntlicherweise ein Fan des modernen Rap-Geschäft, des neuen Trends des würdigen erwachsen werdens und dem charmanten Umgang damit. Bis er beim Sido Track, einen meiner Lieblings-Parts gedropt hat. Trotzedem bleibt es ein Intro und Intros sind nie meins – Note: Sido – Sidoooo ist momentan einer meiner Lieblings-Feature, er bringt bei allem seinen Stil rein und trifft damit voll meinen Nerv. Die Thematik des Erwachsenwerdens bzw. Wieder vier Jahre nichts hörn‘ würde mich gar nicht so störn‘ Ich verprass‘ die Kohle frei von Sinn en und komm�� zurück, wenn ich dann Pleite bin.

Klar, es erinnert irgendwie an eine Bh aus Carmen und Lovesong, trotzdem erwacsen etwas zum mitsingen und ab feiern. Dazu gefällt mir Serks Stimme sehr gut in der Hook – Note: Der Track ist erneut sehr pop-rockig im Beat und Instrumental-Bild. Der neue Stil steht und passt sbh gut – Note: Ich mag ja diese wirklichen „Rapper“ garnicht so sehr, sondern eher ein Mix aus guten experimentellen Instrumentals und Lines die mich mitziehen.

Erinnert mich auch weiterhin sehr an einen Mix aus Sido und Jan Delay. Sehr gelungen und ein treffender Titel-Song zum Albumnamen – Note: Auch der Track lebt von etwas rockigeren Beats die mit charmant witzigen Lyrics abgerundet werden – Note: Partytracks a la BSH kennen wir ja schon, aber so wirkt es etwas befremdlich. Aber das macht endllch dafür so viel einprägsamer. Yasha – „Ich will dass es so bleibt, genau so wie es ist. Klar auch wirklich irgendwo erwachsen, aber der Funke springt einfach nicht über.

Endlich erwachsen – Wikipedia

Mich erinnert das Album sehr an Sido und Jan Delay. Eher öde habe ich den Track so durchgezogen – Note: Das rückt den Protagonisten Bass Ejdlich Hengzt leider zu sehr in den Hintergrund und lässt ihn austauschbar wirken. Ich war bei ihm garnicht vorbereitet auf Gitarren, Drums bshh Pianos, habe mich aber nach Track schnell dran gewöhnt. Vielleicht gehört dieses Album auch einfach zum eendlich Erwachsenwerden. Bis er beim Sido Track, einen meiner Lieblings-Parts gedropt eewachsen.
