i know i'm not alone in having the headcanon that Emmrich has a comfy little bedroom area in a secret nook behind one of the bookshelves in his room in the Lighthouse. it is also my personal headcanon that my Rook de Riva, being a Crow and thus good at ferreting out hidey-holes and targets' bedrooms, clocked this in about .5 seconds and used it to leave bouquets of flowers on Emmrich's pillow before belatedly realizing that it was maybe slightly more creepy than romantic to be doing that. possibly he only realized this after talking to another companion who commented as much.

as it turns out, however, this realization was unnecessary actually bc Professor Emmrich "Hopeless Romantic Goth" Volkarin has been absolutely swooning about it the whole time. oougghhh the beautiful assassin knows where he sleeps and is using this knowledge to woo him rather than harm him <3! old man is also Down Horrendous.

Rook, awkwardly: "Heyyyy, Emmrich, so about the flowers I've been leaving on your bed-"

Emmrich, dreamily: "I have pressed each one carefully in a favored volume of poetry, I couldn't bear to lose so much as a single petal of such a wonderful gesture."

Rook, who had been about to apologize and offer to stop, brain now having to do a soft reset: "A-ah? Oh, that's - that's good, I'm. Glad you liked them."

It's difficult to get good photos of them because I'm playing on PS5 and have no way to transfer them, so I've been using my phone to take pictures of the screen which mess up the colors.

Thinking about my third playthrough - an elf, maybe, to romance Bellara. Probably Veil Jumper or Grey Warden. Fourth playthrough will be whichever (VJ or GW) I don't make here. Might feel courageous enough at that point to play a mage.

OTTAVO GIORNO DI PRIGIONIA.

Cara maestra precaria,

le scrivo recluso dalla rulott dei nonni a Isola Verde.

Non so se ha presente cossa vol dire avere 8 anni e stare al mare coi nonni che ne hano rispetivamente 78 e 78.

Come molti veci, essi d'estate hano due obietivi nea vita: lamentarsi del caldo e ripararsi dal caldo.

I copulatori che mi generarono con atto sessuale circa 10 anni orsono (ciamarli genitori me vien nervoso), mi hanno cacciato qua dai veci dal 14 Giugno a no so quando!

Io qua passo le mie giornate tra la rulott del campeggio e quando che esco posso rivare fino al segno del quadrato del ombra dea tenda, parchè dopo ciappo il sole e secondo loro muoro.

Sono praticamente come un misto tra Dracula e un can ligà su un albaro.

Cara maestra precaria, par farle capire come che sono ciappato, eco le tape fondamentali dele mie giornate:

7.00 - sveglia e passeggiata al mare... “Fin che no riva el caldo”, dice la nonna.

7.15 - ritorno in casa parchè: “Taca essere soffego”, dice il nonno.

Nel tragitto, acquisto di un craff pa fare colassione. Sarà l’unica crema che vedarò su ste vacanse!

7.30 - la nonna chiede "Cossa magnemo uncò?".

Ma cane del porco, a devo oncora digerire il craff e hai già inamente cosa fare? Comunque dalle 7.40 la nonna taca spignattare!

Dale 8 ale 12.30 resto sul mio recinto a vardare staltri putelli che vanno al mare. Specialmente quelli di altre rasse tipo i tedeschi che essi del caldo non gliene ciava gnente, di mettersi le savatine sui cessi manco che manco, e di nascondersi fin che fanno pissin nella doccia del campeggio no ne parliamo!

12.30 – facio i conpiti.

12.31 – mi rompo i totani di fare i conpiti. Il nonno varda Studio Aperto e la giornalista ci avvisa che è caldo, che bisogna stare dentro. Grassie, mi mancava il colpo di grassia!

12.45 – pranzo sula veranda dela rulott.

Penso che al pranso della comunione i 112 invitati hano magnato manco! Dico che non ho più fame, ma la nonna risponde: “Magna che se no dopo me ciapo paroe da to mama!”

13.45 – riposino.

13.46 – mi sono roto i totani anca di stare in leto. Taco la Tv. Taco i videogiochi. Taco anch'io parchè sto sudando, parchè i veci no tacano l'aria condissionata parchè consuma.

"Nonna go tanto caldo. Tachiamo il clima?"

"No. Se te stè fermo te sopporti". Tu hai 78 anni stai ferma veciassa, io no ci riesso!

"Dopo te ciapi el coera e me ciapo paroe da to mama".

16.00 – ORARIO CHIAVE: LE QUATTRO! Ogni mamma del mondo dice che “AE QUATRO SE POE NDARE IN ACUA”!

Ma mia nonna è diversa: “Ae quatro se va magnare el gelato sfruttando ea linea de ombra dei alberi! Altro che mare, dopo te te brusi e me ciapo paroe da to mama”. E magna anca el gelato.

16.30 – la nonna dice: “Desso ndemo fare ea spesa, così al supermercato ze fresco”. I commessi del supermercato volliono adottarmi, stanno organisando di impinire di acqua la piscina in esposissione nel reparto giocattoli parchè gli faccio pecato.

18.45 – rientro a casa e preparassione del pesce fresco crompato al super. “Nonna chi ga da vegnere?”

“Soeo noialtri tre. Ma ze ben che te magni tanto pesse, se no dopo me ciapo paroe da to mama”.

19.45 – cena di pesse. Credo che solo oggi ho preso 8 Kg! Il costume no mi va altro bene, ma chi se ne ciava parchè tanto qua l’unica acqua che vedo è quella della doccia delle 20.30.

20.30 – doccia. Ogni sera. No sono mai stato così neto in vita mia!

21.00 – “Posso ndare fora adesso nonna?”

“Si... MA VIEN QUA CHE METEMO EA CREMA”.

“Ma nonna, è scuro ormai!”

“Tasi e metti ea crema se no dopo me ciapo paroe da to mama!”

21.10 – passeggiata lungomare. Par vendicarmi gli facio sputanare almanco 20 euro di giostre! Tiè veciassi!

22.00 – il nonno dice: “Te me pari stufo Toma, ndemo casa. Ze mejo che te dormi se no dopo se ciapemo paroe da to mama”.

22.30 – sono in leto de novo.

Insoma maestra, spero che quei due esseri umani che mi hanno trasmesso il loro dna difettoso (genitori cancari) vengano a tormi presto!

Mi sono frantumato i maronsini di stare qua.

Le chiedo di capire la situassione diffilce e veda di darmi almanco 8 su sto tema… se no dopo te te ciapi paroe da me mama!

there's something so incredibly compelling to me about crow!rook x emmrich. it's about the shared fixation on death but coming from opposite directions. it's about rook de riva's "live fast die young leave a beautiful corpse even though it'll probably just get dumped in a canal" attitude crashing directly into emmrich volkarin's endless deference for the dead and existential terror at the prospect of shuffling off this mortal coil at any age. it's about emmrich making rook stop and think about the value of his own life, making him feel like it actually matters to someone. it's about rook's unflinching interest and fascination with the morbid and the macabre, the way he takes emmrich's culture and special interests in stride, the glancing at a skeleton and casually referencing the likely cause of death based on the chipped rib cage that perfectly aligns with the thrust of a blade.

a young man steeped in death to the point of desensitization getting swept up with an older man desperately trying to avoid death's clutches at any cost who falls for this constant reminder of his own mortality. emmrich is having panic attacks every other night from all these near death experiences. rook is pressing kisses to his pulse points and tracing arteries with gloved fingertips and whispering I'm familiar with the finer points of anatomy, too, professor. and emmrich feels like he's losing his mind along with his heart.

emmrich is calling rook "darling" and "dearest" as if no amount of blood on his hands could make him less lovable, as if his worth were a foregone conclusion, kissing him in a cemetery where the air tastes like forever, promising an enduring affection, a flame eternal, a love that asks nothing save to be returned. and it is, it is, it is.

Since you did not specify, I will answer for those to whom it applies:

Does your Rook have an irrational phobia?

I think Kione has an irrational fear of deep water after an incident with him and his twin sister, Pari, during their Crow training years when he slipped off a roof (damned slippery tiles! especially when it rains! lol) and ended up in the water. Kione doesn't know how to swim (he should probably correct that) and it took Pari a bit of time to get off the roof to come help him, but that bit of time was enough to convince him that he was going to drown. (LOL guess this answers the second one, too!)

Kalais is my Veil Jumper and I'm still getting to know him, to be honest. However, I'd say that if he has any they probably have to do with the cities. Hmmm, the only one I can talk about at the moment (outside of Kione, mentioned above) is Lilya, I think. She, too, is an Antivan Crow. I think in her case, prior to the incident that sends her off with Varric before the game starts, she had a different encounter with a small squad of Antaam. Her job was to lead them away from a larger group (several of the younger, newer Crows were given this task to make the bulk of them easier to manage) but during the process, she got too close. She took quite a beating, only managing to sneak away after a fellow Crow came to her aid and lured them away from her. She eventually crawled back to House de Riva, severely injured and quite embarrassed, and she was all but certain that if she was still breathing when she got there that Viago would kill her for messing up so badly. She has no memory of actually reaching her house; she woke up several days later, quite alive and surprised to find a look of relief on Viago's face. (he denies it and said she must have been hallucinating)

Magda Donato giornalista, scrittrice e attrice spagnola esiliata in Messico a causa della Guerra civile, è una protagonista della storia di inizio Novecento che viene troppo poco ricordata.

Anticipatrice del giornalismo d’opinione, ha affrontato temi controversi come le rivendicazioni dei diritti delle donne e la legislazione sulla famiglia con una comunicazione coinvolgente, una scrittura efficace e diretta che spingeva a riflettere in modo autonomo e critico riguardo a temi che animavano il dibattito culturale dell’epoca.

Il suo linguaggio colloquiale, le domande retoriche e la presenza reiterata dell’io della scrittrice, che si proponeva costantemente come interlocutrice, dava l’impressione di partecipare a una conversazione brillante, ironica, a volte umoristica, ma sempre di un livello culturale elevato con cui riusciva a mettere in discussione ogni argomento su cui dibatteva.

Nella sua visione, il ruolo di chi pratica il giornalismo è creare opinione, giungere alle coscienze con il proposito di contribuire alla costruzione di una società migliore.

Nata col nome di Carmen Eva Nelken Mansberger il 6 febbraio 1898 a Madrid in una ricca famiglia ebrea di origine tedesca da parte di padre e francese da parte materna, aveva ricevuto un’educazione superiore, molto più moderna e liberale di quella che si impartiva solitamente alle giovani dell’epoca.

Ancora adolescente aveva iniziato a frequentare gli ambienti culturali progressisti in cui già si muoveva la sorella maggiore, Margarita Nelken, deputata e figura centrale nel primo movimento femminista spagnolo degli anni Venti e Trenta del Novecento.

Aveva 19 anni, nel 1917, quando ha iniziato a scrivere per il quotidiano El Imparcial, di cui divenne responsabile di una rubrica chiamata Femeninas in cui i primi articoli erano dedicati a moda e costume per poi arrivare ad affrontare tematiche di più ampio interesse.

Nonostante la giovane età, si era imposta con sicurezza in un ambiente di certo poco favorevole alle donne e, nel 1920 aveva iniziato a scrivere articoli su España, una delle riviste culturali di maggiore prestigio del momento firmandosi come Magda Donato, per differenziarsi dalla sorella maggiore. Seguirono altre importanti collaborazioni con giornali come Estampa, El Liberal, La Tribuna, Heraldo de Madrid, Informaciones, Blanco y Negro. 

Fedele alla propria impostazione progressista, ha praticato per tutta la vita un giornalismo incentrato su temi e situazioni che conosceva approfonditamente e che presentava in modo critico, adottando talvolta l’ironia come ponte comunicativo diretto con il pubblico.

Alla fine degli anni Venti ha iniziato la sua carriera di attrice teatrale lavorando dapprima con Cipriano Rivas Cherif, promotore del teatro madrileno di quegli anni, per poi entrare a far parte del gruppo teatrale Caracol.

Nel suo impegno divulgativo ha aspramente criticato il ruolo riservato alle donne nella società e nel lavoro, sostenendone i diritti. La sua relazione sentimentale con l’illustratore Salvador Bartolozzi, grande conoscitore degli ambienti avanguardisti parigini, molto più vecchio di lei e padre di tre figli, ha costituito un esempio del suo rifiuto del modello di moglie e del matrimonio borghese.

Ha fatto parte dell’Unión Mujeres de España, organizzazione di orientamento socialista che si distingueva da altri gruppi più borghesi e cattolici e, nel 1929, partecipato al Congresso di Berlino per l’Alleanza Internazionale delle Donne per il suffragio e la pari cittadinanza.

Nel 1939, a causa della guerra civile spagnola, venne costretta all’esilio, prima in Francia e poi in Messico, nel 1941, dove si era dedicata al teatro, alla scrittura di opere di teatro per l’infanzia come Pinocho en el país de los cuentos e Las aventuras de Cucuruchito y Pinocho e alla produzione di film femministi come La liga de las muchachas (1949), Curvas peligrosas (1950), El amor no es negocio (1949) e Caperucita y Pulgarcito contra los monstruos (1960).

Nel 1960 è stata premiata come migliore attrice dall’Agrupación de Críticos de Teatro.

Dopo la sua morte, avvenuta a Città di Messico il 3 novembre 1966, è stato istituito il Premio Magda Donato per riconoscere e premiare la migliore opera dell’anno, gestito dall’Associazione Nazionale di Direttori e Attori, fino alla sua scomparsa nel 1973.

Artista, divulgatrice, rivoluzionaria in ogni sua scelta, ha contribuito a formare il moderno pensiero femminista eppure la storia non le ha ancora riconosciuto i suoi giusti meriti.

Outro destaque paranaense, Luigi Cini, ficou em sétimo lugar com 76.89 pontos. A performance de Akio foi um testemunho de sua dedicação e habilidade, consolidando seu nome no cenário global do skateboarding. Centro Nacional de Treinamento de Skateboarding A trajetória de Akio está fortemente ligada ao Centro Nacional de Treinamento de Skateboarding (CNTSK8), localizado no Complexo Tarumã em Curitiba. Este centro, inaugurado em dezembro de 2022, é resultado de um investimento de R$ 3,5 milhões e oferece uma infraestrutura moderna com duas pistas oficiais para as disciplinas park e street. O complexo tem sido crucial na preparação dos atletas brasileiros para competições internacionais, incluindo os Jogos Olímpicos. Investimento no Esporte e Desenvolvimento de Novos Talentos O sucesso de Augusto Akio reflete os esforços contínuos do Governo do Paraná em fomentar o esporte. Programas como o Geração Olímpica e Paralímpica têm sido fundamentais para apoiar jovens talentos. O secretário do Esporte, Helio Wirbiski, destacou que a conquista de Akio é um marco significativo, sublinhando a evolução do skate no cenário olímpico e incentivando uma nova geração de atletas. Impacto na Comunidade Local Além de seu talento no skate, Akio é conhecido por seu caráter admirável e interação com os jovens atletas do CNTSK8. O diretor de Infraestrutura Esportiva, Rogério Riva, elogiou a influência positiva de Akio, ressaltando que ele é um exemplo tanto como atleta quanto como pessoa.
