Ouderverstoting, ook wel bekend als parental alienation, is een schrijnende situatie waarbij een kind zich afwendt van een van zijn ouders, meestal als gevolg van manipulatie of negatieve beïnvloeding door de andere ouder. Stel je voor: een kind dat ooit van beide ouders hield, wordt tegen de ene ouder opgezet en uiteindelijk verwijderd uit zijn leven. Dit fenomeen komt vaak voor in contexten van echtscheidingen of voogdijgeschillen en kan ernstige emotionele en psychologische gevolgen hebben voor het kind en de verstoten ouder. Wat gebeurt er met de ziel van een kind wanneer het wordt gedwongen partij te kiezen in een strijd die het nooit wilde voeren? It's been almost 9 years that my ex wife has been keeping the kids from me. These last couple years they were coming over off and on than we went to court and they found out they were actually coming over 4 days a week and spending the night here. Now for no reason explained she won't let them come over again. Now my daughter is 11 and her and her mother get into quite often. She isn't happy there and her mom holds her stuff and seeing us against her head. Saying if she lives with me she'll get rid of her cat and all her stuff. My daughter is living in hell and there's nothing I can do about it. I don't understand why this "woman" is so hell bent on making her kids life hell and mine too just to get revenge? Or what is it? How can you treat your own kids so bad and their father so bad. I just don't get it. 4 years ago maybe but now we're divorced and it's been over 7 years we've been apart.... I just want my kids healthy. What sucks is my ex was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder with paranoid delusions and psychotic tendencies!!??? Yet the court put the kids in her care?? I want her to get a mental revaluation as the one she got when she qualified for disability was in 2007/8. What do I do, I know she would be found unable to take care of the kids she's been gone since 2012 mentally.....
