Our fieldwork in Manombo Special Reserve is nearing its end. The rains are a month late, so we haven’t had a drop of rain the whole time we have been here. Fortunately, we have nonetheless found some amazing things, including this phenomenal frog: Paradoxophyla palmata. A little terrestrial microhylid that is an explosive breeder at the start of the rainy season. Well, they’re as impatient for rain as we are! Our fingers are crossed that the last days here will see a change in the weather.
