Close Quarter Combat Sports: What Is It?
The sport of Close Quarter Combat (CQB) is a highly realistic simulation of force-on-force scenerios that utilizes real military tactics and close-quarters battle doctrine. Success in CQB requires teamwork and effective use of support equipment, just as in real-life missions. Players are equipped with plate carriers, load-bearing vests, tactical radios, spare magazines, maps, canteen packs, paintball pistols, paintball rifles and shotguns, and other tactical gear to complete tasks and defeat opponents using the latest close-quarters warfare tactics and strategies.
The emphasis of CQB is on tactical and practical abilities, including marksmanship, communication, synchronization, movements, and teamwork under fire. It creates a scenario that is unlike any other format, using real equipment, war simulation gadgets, and firearms that replicate battle rifles with precision. It is a valuable training tool for military and law enforcement professionals, as well as civilians around the world who participate in CQB competitions.
For those interested in practicing with their Glock Pistol Paintball Gun, here are some tips to ensure safe and productive training:
Use appropriate safety equipment, such as goggles and a mask.
Familiarize yourself with the rules of CQB paintball before starting.
Communication and teamwork are critical in CQB so speak clearly with your teammates to coordinate actions and strategies.
CQB is not only an enjoyable sport but is also a popular team-building exercise in many workplaces, as it teaches workers how to react and behave in emergencies. With the evolution of safe mag-fed paintball pistols, it is an efficient training method for individuals looking to improve their skills in combat situations.

That should have read "I never had either of those work right, straight from the gun shop." That was my bad, so I wont comment on your reading comprehension skills. And you can keep your .300BLK and 5.56, I prefer the 30-30 and SKS I've been using for over 40 years. Both of which I've used in combat back in the 1980's.
Also, please point out where I said my only firearm was a SA XDM? Oh wait you can't because I didn't. Instead of asking, you did the cowardly gun snob thing and acted like an ass. My safe has many different firearms, all of them have different purposes and work properly, without spending 2X the MSP at a gunsmith to work right. None are some over priced item to show off and brag about to your range buddies. So if you want to think I'm some Fudd then go ahead, I expect nothing less from a coward, who didn't bother to ask civil questions.
Gun snobs and cowards (unwilling to have honest discussion, but goes on the attack like all cowards) are what is wrong with the gun community on here and in general, and you have shown over and over that you are both. Now if you wish to act like someone who wants to help others or have an honest discussion, then change your attitude Bucky boy. If not then have a good week anyway.
I actually respect that you're still rocking a 30-30 and an SKS. They might be outdated, but in the right hands I bet they'll still get work done.
You didn't say that, and I didn't say you did. I paraphrased you, claiming that your go-to carry gun is the SA XDM if I recall correctly. Whatever else is in your safe is not my business. You also don't know a thing about what I have, despite your assertion that it consists of overpriced range toys. Trust me, I wish I could afford that sort of thing in this economy. Deployment-pay savings from 2020 and the charity of family members is the only reason I'm going into marriage debt-free and can pay for the wedding I'm having.
Old-timer, you're the one shitting on combat-proven and duty-proven brands (or at least the Glock is, dunno about the M&P) and gun platforms, while also arguing in favor of a caliber I can only describe as "indecisive," and a pistol platform that's an imitation of the one you hate, made by a manufacturer with a rather stained public image. I myself do not exactly look upon Springfield Armory with respect. So, yes, a young buck's kneejerk reaction was to make fun of your opinions because they contradict popular wisdom, and you've chosen to get upset and write me an essay about it, when you could just write me off as an inexperienced punk in your book and ignore me, like many of your generation tend to do.
But, it sounds like you really want to have a discussion on this, so please, why don't you tell me your thoughts on .40 S&W? I get what you're saying that nobody wants to be on the receiving end of it, but that's not a sufficient argument for its usefulness. I mean, I could apply that logic to argue for paintball and airsoft guns as self-defense weapons.
Why didn't the M&P and the Glock work for you out of the box? I'm not personally a user of both, but I'm willing to bet most units out there of both platforms have had no aftermarket upgrades, or at least very little, and they both have established reputations as very reliable and practical guns, albeit imperfect. Everyone knows Glock's stock sights are worth upgrading if one has the money, and they couldn't make a good trigger until Gen 5 from what I've been able to test out. But fixing those flaws isn't required for it to be useable, and shouldn't cost anywhere near the sticker price of the gun, let alone twice it.

A lot of people focus on Neil's knife skills being revealed to the foxes, but what about his gun skills? He has to have crazy gun skills after years on the run right?
Most definitely yes. A gun’s not something you hand to a child unless you want the wrong type of trouble, so you know Mary taught Abram/Neil how to use it properly, how to handle it, how to shoot it, how to maintain it. He learned to shoot a wide variety of guns, from the old Brownings, Walthers and Lugers left from WWII to the Glock his mother favored, revolvers and semi-automatics and even rifles. Mary preferred something untraceable, easy to conceal and easy to ditch, but she taught him to use whatever was on hand.
It’s not like Neil can mention these skills to the Foxes, even if he was so inclined (Andrew’s another story). How exactly does one bring up in casual conversation that they can dissemble and reassemble a gun with their eyes closed? Or the time he dislocated his right shoulder shooting the .577 Nitro Express rifle his mother had wrestled free from one of his father’s men? Things like that only made his friends upset for some reason.
I tend to go with the common head-canon of the Foxes finding out about Neil’s crazy gun skills at some sort of carnival (maybe one put on by a campus student group to raise funds), at a shooting booth for prizes. Matt and Aaron would try to win prizes for Dan and Katelyn and fail miserably, Allison would actually do semi-decent for Renee, and then Neil steps forward when Nicky cajoles Andrew to win something for his ‘not-boyfriend’. The upperclassmen tell Neil it’s no big deal if he does poorly (and bet on the results, of course), but Neil’s determined to win the one teddy bear Dan wanted and the huge fox for himself (and let’s face, to show up Aaron), so he holds the rifle for a moment and then let’s loose.
The Foxes soon figure out they shouldn’t have bet on him doing a bad job, while Andrew and Renee pocket their winnings (Andrew tells Neil he has to carry the stuffed monstrosity he won back to the dorm).
The Foxes start testing Neil out after that; Matt buys a bunch of water pistols and starts a ‘fight’ after practice one day, and of course gets his butt kicked by Neil. Allison shows up with Nerf guns, and much the same result. Dan takes the the Foxes to a paintball course for ‘team building’, and it would have been utter annihilation for the upperclassmen if not for Renee.
Neil’s an expert marksman with any type of gun, they quickly figure out. They also know not to ask, considering his past, but they tease him a bit about it and accept it, and he’s grateful for it.

A First Look at the 1st GLOCK Paintball Pistol
A First Look at the 1st GLOCK Paintball Pistol
Umarex has made a GLOCK 17 Gen 5 paintball gun, you have no idea how excited I am! Just to start off, the GLOCK 17 is the original GLOCK. The model 17 was named the 17 after GLOCK had 17 different patents made for the first pistol. It was not well received in the beginning, who wants a polymer gun? The answer now, EVERYONE. It is one of the most popular pistols and the GLOCK fan base continues…

[IWA 2022] Umarex’s Glock Paintball and Air Pistols
Glocks are very popular, a statement that can earn someone the title of “Captain Obvious”. It is still true, though. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone that the German gunmaker Umarex is giving this pistol its very special attention and opening up the air pistol and paintball gun market. The company was […]

Donald Trump has no money for Puerto Rico but suggests arming 3.6 million public school teachers. How much would that cost?
$475 for a Glock 19, $ 180 for thumb print lock, $420 for 1,000+ rounds for basic training, $90 for orientation, $110 for Intermediate, $130 for advanced/active shooter, and $90 for low light shooting, $520 for four training days = $2015 minimum per teacher X 3,600,000 teachers = $7,264,000,000.
Could buy a lot of school supplies with 7 billion dollars
Why not test the Big Fool’s theory BEFORE we spend the cash? We can round up the gun executives, the NRA execs and the GOP legislators who accepted “donations” and dress them up as school children. Fill up a whole school with these scum. Borrow a teen volunteer from Juvie hall and arm him/her with high capacity fire arms but with rubber bullets. Select and train GOP interns to act as “teach” to be armed with a paintball gun. The juvie selects classrooms at random and we see how many stings before a “fatal”paintball strike.
Work this out for yourself:
Scenario #1 the shooter half enters the class through the rear door. From a position of cover shoots the teacher before the gun is unlocked. What happens next?
Scenario #2 the teacher drops behind the desk to draw her Glock. The shooter fires into the classroom at the students. The teacher attempts to return fire, maybe gets a round off but is driven back or hit by suppressing fire from an automatic weapon. What happens next.
Scenario #3. In the course of returning fire the teacher hits a student and freezes. What happens next?
Scenario #4 a student brings high capacity pistols and a supply of magazines. Stands up in class and shoots teacher and some students. The rest of the students run out. The shooter blends in and the armed teachers dash into the classroom. What happens next?
Scenario #5 two shooter conspiracy. First shooter shoots into class room second lies in wait to shoot any teachers who comes into corridor. What happens next?
Scenario #6. Accomplice sets off fire alarm. Shooter(s) with long rifles & telescopic sights and flash suppressors fires into assembled students. What happens next?
OK, add another $3-4 billion to arm and train teachers with AR-15s. How does that save student lives?
No scenario takes into account that bullets drill easily between walls into adjacent occupied rooms
SOLUTION
What WILL save student lives is to get military assault weapons out of civilian hands. Confiscate high capacity weapons and assault rifles if they are found in public. Confiscate any such weapon in a private residence discovered outside of a concealed locked gun box. Charge the possessor with a federal crime. If it’s a stolen weapon, charge any traceable prior owner of the weapon with reckless endangerment and civil penalties. The neo-Nazi militias and gun nuts can hide or bury their weapons for the coming apocalypse or federal take over or whatever.
In what the Conservatives imagine were the “good old days” the NRA was a legitimate gun safety promoter and endorsed the bans on automatic Tommy guns in the 1930s. War surplus WWI Tommy guns were marketed in the US over objections just as the war surplus post-Viet Nam automatic weapons were marketed. Sensible objections never seem to win over campaign donations.
The Tommy gun ban worked. The gun lobby overturned the ban. Now want us to buy billions more in weapons.
MAKE MILITARY WEAPONS ILLEGAL AGAIN!!!

Airsoft Guns - Should You Own One?
Airsoft Guns - Should You Own One? BB guns are something you're all fairly familiar with but how many of you know anything about airsoft guns? The biggest mistake most gun fans make is to look at airsoft guns as just being toys. This is so far from the truth. The huge range of airsoft guns, rifles, pistols, shotguns and fully automatic machine guns offer a huge amount of fun and entertainment for anybody who wants to get involved. Even if you're a hardcore gunhead you'll still get a kick from airsoft weapons. Gun crime is an increasingly worrying problem internationally. This has led to a total backlash against weapon owners of all kinds. This has been taken to extremes whereby liberal parties have started imposing more and more rules on what types of weapons people can own. There is the common misunderstanding that anybody interested in weapons has violent tendencies - this couldn't be further from the truth. Appreciating the beauty of a replica firearm is no different to appreciating the lines of a sports car or admiring a piece of modern art. Airsoft guns haven't been around long but they've gathered a large following and are dominating the replica weapon and toy gun markets. So if you're always wanted to own your own Desert Eagle or M4 rifle then airsoft offers both a safe and fun way to do this. Standard BB guns fire a small lead pellet which can cause considerable harm when used by a skilled marksman. Unlikely to kill a human bb guns are used to hunt small rodents on farms all over the world - to great effect. Now not every gun enthusiast wants to go hunting. Maybe they just like the look and feel of a particular pistol or rifle. Airsoft guns are ideal for this type of gun fan. Airsoft ammunition is also non-lethal. Instead of a lead pellet a standard airsoft guns fires a 6mm plastic pellet that weighs between 0.12g and 0.20g. The heavier weights provide added accuracy. Do bear in mind that even though these pellets are plastic they can and do hurt when they hit you so never fire an airsoft gun at anybody unless they're wearing suitable protective clothing. The level of pain is on a par with being hit by a paintball. There are many different types of airsoft guns available. There are spring powered, gas powered, gas blowback and also finally the electronic type of airsoft gun - also referred to as AEGs. Many of the popular modern weapons are available in airsoft models. For example you can buy a Glock, Desert Eagle, Uzi, AK47 or CAR 15 gun for less money than you probably every imagined. You can even go as far as buying an airsoft minigun - if you have that kind of money. Airsoft guns provide a novel and interesting hobby for people from all walks of life and for all budgets. You don't need to spend a fortune getting started and believe me these guns really are great conversation pieces. https://fighteraccess.com
