Lol, can you imagine Jake being like totally defensive about being the best father in the Dagger Squad in the Mr. Right Now Universe? Like one of the others would say how they are the best dad ever and then Jake would be like "do you rub your children's feet?" and the other Dagger you be like "...errrr... no?" and Jake wojld be just like "that's what I thought".
Another foot rub spin-off!
"I got Padres tickets for my kids for this weekend," Reuben said with a smile in the locker room. "Top tier entertainment. Best dad in the world."
Jake rolled his eyes. He took you and the boys to the Padres home opener months ago. But it was all the little things, in his opinion, that made him a good dad. Not the big stuff.
"Do you rub their feet?" he muttered to himself. But a second later, it was clear the rest of the guys had heard him.
"Huh?" Reuben asked. "Wait, you rub your kids feet?"
Jake scoffed. "Of course I do. And I make them homemade heart-shaped red velvet pancakes every Sunday morning. And I check under both beds for monsters at least twice before they go to sleep."
Reuben rubbed his chin. "Can you send me your pancake recipe?"
The guys all chipped in to get Jake and Reuben matching #1 DAD mugs.

Meanwhile, in another universe……
Your adrenaline ran high that you could hear your heart pounding in your ears. You adjusted your hood and backpack many times as you ran. You panted heavily and you could feel the light layer of sweat starting to build on your skin. A sigh of relief escaped your lips as the destination finally came into view and you were able to slow down a bit. You quickly checked the clock on the wall.
Time wasn’t on your side and you needed to leave now.
You quickly entered the train terminal and headed for the ticket booth.
“I need one, one way ticket to Gotham as soon as possible. Please.” you said as quick as possible trying to hide your desperation. The woman at the ticket booth looked confused as she quickly observed your figure.
“Aren’t you a little young to be riding the train? Nonetheless, be going to Gotham and at this hour?” She asked baffled that a young teen was standing in front of her at this time at night. You let out an annoyed huff as you quickly showed her a fake ID.
“I would like my ticket. Now.” you said annoyed as you bit your tongue from making any sarcastic remark. A thought bubbles in the back of your mind.
He could come home any second.
The ticket booth lady’s attitude then changed and she rolled her eyes.
“That’ll be $150” she said matching your energy. You quickly handed her the cash and grabbed your ticket.
“And kid? You better run” She adds. You glanced at her confused as an automated announcement rang throughout the station
“Train from Nueva York to Gotham is now boarding”
Your eyes widened and silently cursed as you took a brief glance at your ticket to remember the information before running to the platform.
You barely had made it.
It was no shock to see that the train cart was nearly empty. Who would want travel all the way to Gotham at this time at night?
You made yourself comfortable in the back of the cart and sat your book bag on your lap. You silently fiddled with a bracelet on your wrist as the anxiety and guilt began to form in the pit of your stomach. A thousand thoughts began to fill your head.
Gotham was brand new territory for you. You were taught and aware of the violence that occurred. Things could go wrong and he won’t be able to protect you this time….
You quickly shook those thoughts away from escalating and decided to lean against the window and silently look out.
“Lo siento, padre. I hope one day you can forgive me.” You whispered
An: no romance. Miguel is your dad.
no grammar checks. I had to write this before I completely forget. Sounded like a good idea in the moment. Might delete later. Might edit later.

Song reference - Feed my Chaos by Lilith Czar - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyMeaoD1p-c
‘Am I the victim? Am I the criminal? Am I the angel or diabolical? The bullet or the gun? What have I become? Created in the pain of filth and dust
Sex and energy Turn your head off Chasing reality Feed my chaos Bathed in holy light Crown comes with a cost Fuel me from the fight Feed my chaos.’
Angel couldn’t stop listening to it, the original track by Heavenly Creature, entitled Feed my Chaos. They’d only been formed for three and a half months and already, they’d pooled their money together to record a few tracks, gotten themselves a few little shows, and were determined to make a name out there. He admired Bella’s tenacity and zeal hugely, putting together all of the lyrics she’d been writing over the years and crafting actual songs, good songs, too, confessing to him that she was a hoarder of notebooks, always scribbling down something, never without paper and a pen to record inspiration whenever it hit her.
Because of their conflicting schedules, Bella busy with college and his life between outlawing and scrap metal heaving keeping him busy, he hadn’t actually managed to see her again as yet, but they chatted regularly via text in the five days that followed their first meet. In fact, whenever Angel wasn’t busy with club duties, his phone appeared to be welded to his hand.
‘Hey pretty girl. What you up to?’
Hearing her message alert, Bella reached for her nightstand to pick her phone up, squeaking with excitement when she saw it was from Angel.
‘Just chilling at home, playing guitar, writing stuff. You?’
‘Hanging at the clubhouse before I hit the gym. You busy this afternoon?’
‘Nope, I have a half day from college so I’m just gonna sit here with my guitar and stuff myself silly with bagels and cream cheese. Unless you had a more appealing alternative?’
Shit. Was that too forward? Was he merely asking what she was doing out of interest, and not leading anywhere with it? Could she unsend the message before he read it? Two little blue ticks next to the Whatsapp box revealed she couldn't, Bella cringing as she softly thudded her head against the top of her acoustic guitar.
‘Wanna meet me for a few drinks?’
Phew!
‘Yeah, that’d be great. If I get on the train, I can probably be in Santo Padre by the time you’re done with the lifting of the heavy things.’
“Lifting of the heavy things,” he chuckled quietly, typing out another message.
‘Alright. Do you know where West Point Social is? It’s a real cool bar, and they do great food too, if you wanted to stay for dinner?’
‘I don’t, but I have Google Maps, I’ll find it! Meet you there at say, 3:30pm?’
‘Cool, see you then.’
Placing her guitar down, Bella rushed off her bed towards the large, heavy oak wardrobe in the corner of her room. Everything was vintage and nothing matched, but that was hers and her mother’s taste all over. “What the hell do I wear?” Flinging the door open, all of a panic, she raided the contents, considering a dress but then quickly vetoing that decision, landing on her skin-tight, light blue jeans and a simple cropped white top. She teamed them with her black stiletto heeled boots, her usual abundance of jewellery too, picking up one of her beloved heavy fringed bags, this one dark red and unloading all of her stuff into it before quickly touching up her makeup.
The train took forty-five minutes to reach Santo Padre from her home of La Jolla, Bella barely making it after purchasing a ticket, running across the platform as fast as her feet would carry her, sliding in between the doors just as they were shutting with a grateful sigh. She would arrive at 2:57pm, looking on her phone and seeing that the bar was a twenty-minute walk from the station, which was doable.
Her feet disagreed with her two thirds of the way through the walk, but the sight waiting for her at a table on the decking area outside the bar was more than worth it. Fuck. She’d almost forgotten how attractive he was. He was without his kutte, dressed simply in a white vest, dark grey shirt left open and a pair of dark blue jeans, heavy silver jewellery adorning his neck, fingers and wrists. When he saw her, he actually felt a wave of butterflies flutter through him. God, she was so gorgeous, every set of male eyes outside of the bar watching her as she walked, Angel feeling ten feet tall when she arrived with him, standing up to greet her with a hug and a quick kiss.
“Damn,” he breathed, sitting down again. “You look smokin’!”
Bella felt herself blush, her insides screaming with excitement. “Thanks. Looking pretty lush over there yourself, too.”
“Lush? Is that a British-ism?”
“Yeah, kind of. More Welsh than anything. I picked it up off one of my favourite TV shows, Gavin and Stacy. I doubt you’ll have heard of it,” she spoke, placing her bag down, giving her long hair a little ruffle.
He looked completely nonplussed. “Nope, but maybe I’ll watch it with you sometime.” He sat back, shaking his head, barely able to believe his luck. She was so beautiful! It was making him a little crazy, truth be known. “So, what do you want to drink?”
“A Coke, please.”
He leaned forward, making a beckoning gesture with his finger. She reciprocated, leaning closer. “What do you really want to drink?”
She bit her lip, grinning. “Malibu and Coke, please?”
He winked, getting up. “I’ll be back.” He didn’t have any qualms about buying her alcohol, even if she was three years under the legal age limit. Besides, she easily passed for twenty-one. While he was inside, Bella took out her cigarettes, lighting up and looking out around the space. Southern California was, as one might imagine, completely different to her native Hammersmith. The vibe, the people, everything was in stark contrast, most of all the weather, London mostly dull and grey, save for the stifling summer months. She realised that after six months in San Diego, though, she knew nothing of hot weather prior to her move.
“What’s that stuff like, then?” Angel spoke, arriving back and placing her drink down, Bella taking a grateful sip. She was parched after her walk. “I can’t say I’ve ever tried it.” He nodded towards her glass, Bella sliding it across the table to him.
“Here, try a sip.”
He picked it up, giving it a cautionary sniff. The face he made prompted her tiny snort laugh, sipping it back all the same. “Oh, Jesus in a fucking side car!”
There it was again, her booming laugh. “Not a fan?”
“It’s vile! It tastes like air freshener!”
“And now many Magic Trees have you been chomping down on to be able to use those as your comparison?” She bobbed her tongue between her teeth playfully, Angel leaning forward in his seat, pointing at her.
“No shaming my snack habits. They’re low carb.”
She was in soft fits. “Low carb, all card?”
“Exactly that,” he confirmed with a nod. “So, how was college?”
“Boring!” she yelled, maybe a little too loudly. “We had to learn about the basis of chord progression, which is stupid since I know it already! I’ve been playing guitar since I was six!” She suddenly realised her statement came off as a little arrogant, continuing. “I mean, I don’t want to sound like a Johnny know-it-all, but I was just frustrated because I could have been using that time for something else, something brand new to me.”
He reached for her hand, seeing the sudden worry in her face. “I understand, it’s like, you want to make the most of your time. You’re there to build on what you already know, not go over the same things. Maybe though, just see it as a chance to reminds yourself of those things again and keep them fresh?” She’d never looked at it like that before, and had to admit, he was right. She guessed her headstrong youth had a lot to do with it, Angel getting past his now at thirty-six. Already, she knew that would be a point of fascination about him, the fact he was likely a lot wiser than her in some ways.
As they sat and chatted, Angel was fascinated by her, learning more about her homeland, the UK a place that by his own admission, he knew very little about at all.
“I miss it there, I do,” she replied in answer to his question. “I mean, San Diego has everything London does, almost, but what I loved so much about London was the extremities of the cultural diversity. We have so many nationalities of people migrating, and they bring their culture of course, from food to music, it was just such an amazing scene. I always said I wanted to travel, though, so these are my first steps in making sure I don’t stay rooted, that I get out there and see the whole world.”
“And you hope it’ll be your music that’ll make that happen for you?” he asked, taking another nacho from the huge plate they were sharing.
“It will be, I’m certain of it. I’m not going to stop until I make something of myself, and music is going to be it.” He loved that about her, how confident she was. She had every reason to be.
“Well, you damned sure got the talent,” he began, taking a swig of his beer when a particularly spicy piece of jalapeno began sizzling the back of his tongue. “Seriously, I can’t get enough of your music. I usually mostly listen to either old school hip hop or metal, but your stuff, I fucking love. Your voice, Jesus Christ, man! You even impressed Bish, and that ain’t easy to do. He’s very set in his ways over what he likes, but he was stunned when you started singing.”
Her face was curious, wiping sour cream from her fingers with a napkin. “Who’s Bish?”
“President of the MC, Bishop Losa,” Angel confirmed, Bella’s eyes widening a little.
“Does he have a daughter called Hadleigh?”
Angel nodded, pouring the remaining salsa over the nachos. He always ordered extra, because of the inevitable dry under chip situation. “He does! My beloved ass face!”
Bella almost choked on her drink. “I know her! Well, I kind of know her, we move in the same circle. She’s dating a guy who’s friends with Ian, our drummer. Why’d you call her ass face?”
“Because Hadleigh Losa is the biggest pranker on earth, she gets it right from her old man, and they prank on each other constantly. One night, she fell asleep at the club, and to get her back for emptying flour into his leaf blower, he drew an ass on her forehead with marker pen. She went fucking insane! Came off with rubbing alcohol, but I swear, I nearly broke a rib from laughing so hard!”
“He sounds like a fun dad. I remember mine used to be the same. He’d play jokes in my mum all the time, particularly with an airhorn. He used to hide behind doors, under the bed, tables, and one time he even managed to wedge himself in the pantry. She said that was the only thing she didn’t miss after he died, the fact that at any given moment, she was five seconds from pissing her pants in fear at the threat of an airhorn being let off,” she detailed, remembering one time when he’d hid behind the curtains and gotten her, her mum throwing an entire bowl of popcorn in the air. Their old basset hound, Rufus had eaten well that night. “What was your dad like while you grew up?”
“Stern,” Angel confirmed, thanking the passing waitress when she took their empty bottles and glasses away. “Mom was always the fun one. She was the sweetest woman, I swear. She was like you in so much that she lived and breathed music, so we listened to so much, from traditional Spanish stuff to Janis Joplin and Joan Jett, who she loved.”
“Oh my god!” Bella cried, holding a hand to her chest. “Those women are two of my biggest idols!”
“She even got to see Janis, you know. She snuck over the border and hitch hiked all the way up to Hollywood to watch her play at the Hollywood Bowl.”
Bella’s eyes couldn’t have been more alight. “Bloody hell! Now that’s dedication. She sounds like she was such an incredible person, and you’ve only told me a little about her. I’m so sorry, about what happened to her.”
Angel nodded, something sharp tingling in his chest. He missed her so much. “Thanks. I know you get it, though, that’s something we have in common, really missing one of our parents. So, tell me about your mom then, or mum, as you call her.” he teased.
“She’s just terrific, she’s my best friend,” she began, scrunching her nose a little. “And I know that sounds really lame, but she is. She’s so chilled out, a real hippie type, and hugely clever. There literally isn’t a single thing she doesn’t know about plants, and her work is so fascinating, everything she researches in how plants can be used for differing purposes. She specialises in what’s known at phytochemistry.”
“It sounds really complicated,” Angel confessed, sipping his beer.
“Oh, it is. Half of what she tells me I’m just sitting there like, ‘what the bloody, buggery fuck, mum?’ over!” He laughed, loving her differing colloquialisms. He heard plenty more of them as they continued to talk, sharing stories from their lives, finding common grounds, detailing their differences, leaning so much about one another that the time flew by.
It was a first date that went so well that by the time the sun had gone down, Bella had moved around to the other side of the table, sat across his lap, sharing kisses that probably bordered on much too steamy for a public place, but she didn’t care. Neither did he.
“I hate to put a stop to this,” she sighed, her lips tingling.
“Then don’t,” Angel interjected, his hand stroking her thigh.
She laughed softly through her nose, leaning in to kiss him again. He was the best kisser she’d ever experienced, probably because he’d likely kissed hundreds more people than she had, or he was just naturally talented. Either way, she didn’t care. She couldn’t get enough. “I have to, though. My train leaves in forty minutes, and it’ll take me twenty to get back to the station.”
He looked thoughtful for a moment. “How much later could you stay if I paid for your cab home?”
Her mouth dropped open immediately. “Angel, that’s at least a sixty-dollar cab ride! I can’t ask you to do that!”
His hand wandered up and down her back, leaning forward to kiss her cheek a few times. “You ain’t asking, I’m offering. How long?”
Looking at the time on her phone, she worked it out. She didn’t have a curfew as such, her mum being quite relaxed, but she knew that in order to be fresh for college the next day, she should be home for about midnight. “Two hours?”
“Done. Your sexy butt is staying exactly where it is,” he confirmed with a nod.
“More than happy with this decision.” Her confirmation was delivered with the kind of kisses that made his pulse flip madly, Angel not able to remember a time when he’d been so attracted to someone. It wasn’t just that she was gorgeous either, it was her, all of her. She was smart, talented, funny, and so, so gentle and sweet. He was also revelling in the novelty that as a completely smoking hot eighteen-year-old, she could have any guy she wanted, and she’d seen him and thought ‘yep, that one.’ It wasn’t without its charm.
The two hours passed much too quickly, Bella feeling a little sad pit in her stomach as the cab pulled up, standing in his arms, kissing him goodbye.
“You might have to take me with you, because I totally don’t wanna let you go,” he confessed, actually poking out his bottom lip and looking utterly adorable, Bella returning such, making him melt completely. Oh, she was too cute!
“I don’t want to leave you, either!” she exclaimed, quickly calling to the cab driver that she’d be a couple of minutes, the friendly man replying with ‘okay, darling’ before she turned back to the man she was very reluctant to let go of.
“We could remedy this, you know,” he began. “I could give the driver my address instead, and you come stay at my place, blow off college tomorrow, or I’ll take you back there early in the morning, if you want?”
“Erm...” she began, knowing the connotations. She shook her head. “I think I know exactly why you’re asking me back to your place, and it isn’t going to happen. Not this soon anyway.”
He shrugged. “I can keep my hands to myself.”
“Yeah, but maybe I can’t. I’m not easy, but with you, bloody hell. I could be, and I’m not screwing it all up by having sex with you right away,” she confessed, Angel respecting her decision. Albeit somewhat begrudgingly. He then realised, though, that such a stance made her very, very different to just about any other woman he’d encountered in recent years, all of them ready to jump into bed with him right away. God. It only made him like her more.
“No worries, baby. You free this weekend? I’d love to see you again,” he asked, his fingers stroking her lower back in a way that made her tingle all over.
“Not until Sunday, I’m afraid,” she lamented. “I have rehearsal on Friday night, then on Saturday I’m at work in the day, then on the evening we’re playing a little show at a bar not far from where I live, but yeah, Sunday daytime I can be all yours?” Ahh, yes. Sadly, Saturday daytime was out of bounds for her, Angel remembering her briefly detailing her job as a hair washing girl at a salon close to where she lived in La Jolla.
“Then I’ll call you on Sunday morning to arrange something. Text me when you get home, alright?”
She leaned in for another kiss, drinking him in, her heart fluttering madly. “Will do. Thanks for a great night.”
Getting into the cab, she could barely wait for Sunday, grinning like an idiot for the entire duration of the ride home. He was the first guy in a long time who she really, really liked. In fact, she’d never felt like that before at all, she realised, replaying moments from their date in her head all the way home.
She was smitten.
As for Angel, he felt much the same, so much so that after discovering the name of the bar Heavenly Creature were playing at that coming Saturday, he planned to pay her a surprise visit.
Bella almost felt her heart somersault out of her chest when after taking to the stage, she picked him out in the crowd. She realised then that he was just as into her as she was him, and that? That felt wonderful.

yes i first read this winnie the pooh style with the shower heating up for far too long in the background but lord in heaven this is the cutest fucking thing i’ve read in ages and i need to gush more 🤭
He wasn’t one to stand up and wave at baseball games when they celebrated active service members and veterans. He never took advantage of the military discounts when they were offered in stores. - this is 1000% true, like it just makes so much sense. bradley likes to be the center of attention sometimes sure, but it for stuff like that. i loved how you phrased it “who he was, not what he did” - but he’s also a little shit so he’s definitely not above wearing the flight suit to get what he wants yup yup (he def early boards on planes tho and i stand by that)
He’d known that smile for years, he loved that smile. - there’s just something different about their love and their relationship to me? like it’s didn’t make sense until it Made Sense? they had all those years of friendship and building their relationship off that until it wasn’t enough for both of them? i just love that so much? like they’re so familiar with each other and love each other so much?
He loved seeing the subtle release of your shoulders and the soft sigh that always seemed to leave your body whenever you saw him waiting for you. - okay what the FUCK this is so sweet and lovely and i want someone to feel that way about me one day
It had only taken a few months of pleading, some strategic bribery, and a payment plan on his part to finally get you to stop being so practical, so logical. - THE PAYMENT PLANS!!! man was about to go into credit card debt buying out the del mar west elm, she had to cave eventually (but i love how she was like already planning this - the fucking mail and his questioning eyebrow raise!)
You hadn’t worn it since the first time you’d been there, and he wanted to see you in his favorite color again. - this is so lame especially because i don’t even have the same exact one, but every time i see my similar reformation dress in my closet i smile and think about their date
However, he couldn’t help himself and ended up grabbing a couple boxes on his way out to put in the Bronco to be unloaded at his place later. He was eager to do whatever it took to speed up the process - i need him desperately this is so hot to me
Bradley knew you were it for him. And he knew you felt the same way too, even if you still were still being infuriatingly pragmatic at times. - i love this so much because they Are it for each other? they absolutely compliment and bring out the best in each other and they just make sense? it brings me back to my point earlier about how there’s just Something to their relationship to me that i can’t quite eloquently state? like it didn’t happen until it happened but that was because that was when it was supposed to happen? and that one of them wasn’t desperately pining over the other for years? it worked out because it was supposed to? i feel like i’m explaining this really terribly so i’m gonna shut up now
You were stunning. And you were his. - she’s his sweet girl ☺️
Sure, it felt a bit young to be celebrating this kind of milestone. But he has been so incredibly happy with you that he’d enthusiastically find any excuse to celebrate being yours. - no because i know exactly what he means! it does feel a bit young (i felt the same with bradley and smart aleck celebrating theirs), but it’s just that they want to celebrate every milestone gahhh it’s so sweet!
“The hostess was rather chatty when I arrived. I would have gotten to you sooner, but I was held up at the front as she told me how sweet my American hero boyfriend was when he showed up,” you tell him with a fond smile, reaching across the table for his hand. “And now I feel less guilty about the low cut shirt I wore to score you the Padres-Phillies tickets that I currently have in my purse.” - this is the part i was talking about in my comment when i mentioned that they match each other’s energy! like they both tease and give each other shit, but it’s for the things they do in service of each other? i love it so much
He wanted you like this forever. He wanted you forever. - i’ve loved you three summers now honey but i want ‘em all ☺️☺️
“What do you say, kid, want to go home?” “Yes, Bradley,” you beamed, your dimples appearing just where he expected them to, “Let’s go home.” He was going home with you. - ohmyfuckinggod i’m gonna lose my mind!! the concept of home! them literally going home to where it all started! them sharing a home! i’m done i’m sorry i’m out goodnight 🤭
I was wondering if you have a headcanon for the restaurant they went to in "Like I Can" part 3?
I might have one or two! 😊 This was a fun ask to get! I hope you enjoy this!
I Find Myself Wanting
Summary: Bradley has a surprise planned for you and one very important question to ask.
Warnings: Pure fluff
Length: 2k
Pairing: Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw X Female Reader
Bradley didn’t like to play up the fact that he was an active member of the Navy. Sure he was proud of what he did, but he didn’t always like the attention that came with it.
He wasn’t one to stand up and wave at baseball games when they celebrated active service members and veterans. He never took advantage of the military discounts when they were offered in stores.
He would rather get noticed for who he was, not what he did.
However, he was not above showing up to your favorite trendy restaurant by the beach with his flight suit half unzipped in order to sweet talk his way into getting a reservation for your six-month anniversary.
The reservations had opened up when he was on a two week training deployment. To no one’s surprise service was shitty on a carrier in the middle of the ocean and he couldn’t get to a computer to snag a table in time.
He might have been flexing a bit and wearing his most winning smile as he yes ma’am-ed, no ma’am-ed, just doing my duty ma’am-ed his way into getting that same table on the luscious outdoor patio where the two of you had had your first date.
The one where he had showed up and surprised you. The one where he told you he didn’t want to be just friends anymore. The one where he’d all but given you his heart, and had been lucky enough to have received yours in return.
He had taken you back there a couple times since then, but he wanted to night to be special.
It was a struggle to sit there and wait. As he tried to not let his leg bounce too much under the table, not wanting to accidentally bump the table and send the finely etched stemware crashing to the ground.
He definitely didn’t want that kind of attention. Not when he was already so anxious to see you.
All he wanted was you.
And you were running late.
Bradley didn’t know why he was so nervous, he already knew what your response would be. Could already imagine the winning smile on your face, could envision the exact spots your dimples would appear in his mind’s eye.
He’d known that smile for years, he loved that smile.
The waiter had stopped by earlier to check on him, and he took the opportunity to order a bottle of champagne to surprise you with once you got there.
Wiping his hands on his pant legs, he touched his pocket for the third time since he’d been seated. Making sure that the item he had tucked in there hadn’t mysteriously vanished since the last time he had checked less than five minutes ago.
There was nothing more he liked than finding little ways to you keep you on your toes.
He’d made sure to grab a change of clothes for himself when he had left his place that morning. And then stayed on base to shower and get ready after they finished training for the day. He didn’t want to risk running into traffic and having you arrive before him.
Bradley wanted to be there to see you as you made your entrance onto the outdoor terrace. To see you as the warm glow from the sunset hit you. He loved seeing the subtle release of your shoulders and the soft sigh that always seemed to leave your body whenever you saw him waiting for you.
He didn’t tell you what he had planned, just that you shouldn’t work late that evening.
During the one hour lunch break they got, he had made his way to your apartment and let himself in using the key you had given him instead of staying and eating there with the rest of the team.
It made his chest warm when he had seen how many boxes that were already lined up along one of the walls in your living room.
You were moving in with him next month and he couldn’t wait.
It had only taken a few months of pleading, some strategic bribery, and a payment plan on his part to finally get you to stop being so practical, so logical. He wanted you for himself all the time.
You never even officially told him of your plans to move in with him. He had been going through his mail one day while you were uncorking some wine in the kitchen, when he saw a letter addressed to you with his home address underneath it.
When he had held it out to you between two fingers and a questioning raise of his eyebrow, you’d simply given him a teasing smile and a shrug of the shoulder. The gesture was nothing short of ok you win, Bradley.
Damn right he did.
He offered to order a U-Haul right then and there.
Although you never got a chance to take him up on it because he had tossed you over his shoulder to celebrate properly in that dark wood canopy bed. The wine completely forgotten on the kitchen counter.
The two of you hardly spent a night apart, but this was the kind of official and permanent he had been longing for since you’d first kissed him against the Bronco all those months ago.
He didn’t let himself get too side tracked, since he was there on a mission. He was pleased when he didn’t have to search too hard to find what he wanted in your closet. He had laid the garment on top of your bed and topped it with a note for where and when to meet him that night.
You hadn’t worn it since the first time you’d been there, and he wanted to see you in his favorite color again.
However, he couldn’t help himself and ended up grabbing a couple boxes on his way out to put in the Bronco to be unloaded at his place later. He was eager to do whatever it took to speed up the process, he wanted to see your place empty, wanted all your things to be nestled amongst his own.
Bradley knew you were it for him. And he knew you felt the same way too, even if you still were still being infuriatingly pragmatic at times. He saw it in your eyes when you looked at him, he recognized it because it’s the same way he looked at you.
He was about to check his phone to see if you had sent him a message, even though he had turned the ringer of his phone on so that he’d hear of his phone went off, when he felt your presence right before he saw you step out onto the terracotta tile of the oasis that was the restaurant’s outdoor patio.
And it’s like all the air has left his lungs.
You were a vision in emerald green as you made your way to him.
He wanted to feel your curves under the silky floral material. Wanted to unzip you slowly later that evening, to watch as your skin is revealed to him as that pretty dress slides down your body. To lay you out on that bed he bought specifically for you. To show you with his body just how much you meant to him, just how much he loved you.
He loved your pretty hair, and how you had braided it around your head. He couldn’t wait to brush aside the little tendrils that had escaped and were framing your face so sweetly. The soft make up you had done for the night really played up your beautiful eyes.
You were stunning. And you were his.
Almost in a daze he stands up and meets you half way to the table. Standing this close to you he can smell your perfume. Can see the little flecks in your lovely eyes.
“Hi, Bradley,” you say with a gentle smile, almost bashfully. But clearly pleased with the effect you’re having on him.
God, he loves you so much.
He gives into the urge to brush away one of those tendrils brushing your cheek, and pulls your face to his.
Your mouth is soft under his. Mindful of your lipstick and the other people seated on the patio, he doesn’t let himself get too carried away as he kisses you in greeting.
“Hi, sweet girl,” he says as he pulls away, having to clearly is throat a bit before continuing, “You look beautiful.” He raises your left hand to his mouth to kiss it.
“Well, someone did pick out a such a nice dress for me to wear,” you tell him as you smooth a hand down his chest, “You look very handsome yourself, I’m a very lucky girl.”
Placing a hand low on your back, finally getting a feel of your warmth and that silky fabric under his plan, he guides you to your perfectly curated table. Pulling out the chair for you to ease yourself into.
He thinks he might have gotten away with the way he checked out your exposed thigh as you sat down, but the knowing smile on your face he sees as he sits across for you tells him that he wasn’t as subtle as he thought he was.
Especially when your foot reaches out to stroke his calf under the table.
“Happy six month anniversary, sweet girl."
Sure, it felt a bit young to be celebrating this kind of milestone. But he has been so incredibly happy with you that he’d enthusiastically find any excuse to celebrate being yours.
He's already learned that Veuve tasted better on a random Tuesday evening with you on his couch than it ever had with anyone else.
The warm grin you give him makes his heart beat a bit faster in his chest. With you in front of him now, gazing at him with such adoration, he has no clue what he was so nervous about.
“Happy six month anniversary, Bradley,” you respond indulgently, still stroking his leg with your foot, “I have to say, this is a very lovely surprise.”
“Yeah?” he asks
“Oh yes,” your voice already tinged with a teasing tone, “I can’t say I’ve ever had a boyfriend who has shown up in a flight suit to woo their way into a reservation before.”
“I, uh-" he starts feeling suddenly sheepish, bringing a hand up to rub at the back of his neck.
“The hostess was rather chatty when I arrived. I would have gotten to you sooner, but I was held up at the front as she told me how sweet my American hero boyfriend was when he showed up,” you tell him with a fond smile, reaching across the table for his hand. “And now I feel less guilty about the low cut shirt I wore to score you the Padres-Phillies tickets that I currently have in my purse.”
Still such a little hustler.
The two of you exchanged a look for a moment before breaking out in a fit of laughter. Reminded yet again just how similar the two of you were.
“God, I love you.”
“I love you too, Bradley. Thank you for such a perfect surprise.”
He would never get tired of hearing you say that.
You were moving in with him. You were going to wake up with him everyday. He was going to get to hold you every night as fell asleep. He was going to build a life with you.
He wanted you like this forever. He wanted you forever.
“I’ve got a question for you.”
“Lay it on me.”
Reaching into his pocket he grabs the item he had tucked away in there, sliding it across the table.
He watches as you pick it up, reading the information on the plane tickets he had purchased, watches as you take it in and look up at him eyes wide with disbelief and delight.
“What do you say, kid, want to go home?”
He knew you hadn’t been home since the holidays. Although he couldn’t remember the last time he had gone back. It had stopped feeling like home, rather just the place he had been raised. But now with you, home was wherever you were.
“Yes, Bradley,” you beamed, your dimples appearing just where he expected them to, “Let’s go home.”
Leaning forward he picks up your hand to kiss the back of it, before threading his fingers through yours. As he sees the waiter rounding the corner with the champagne chilling in a bronze bucket that he had ordered earlier.
The tickets were for two months from now. He had orders to ship out soon for a one month deployment, and you had a big project at work that was wrapping up around the time he got back. He had wanted to plan something that both of you could look forward to while you were apart.
Bradley was excited to revisit all the places that had helped form the two of you. He knew where you were going, but he wanted to go back to the place where you started.
You were telling him about your day, as the waiter worked on uncorking the champagne. And he was trying very hard to pay attention, but his mind was buzzing with everything to come as he let his thumb smooth over the back of your left hand.
He was going home with you.
If he was lucky, he might even be able to sneak into your bedroom. He’d be your teenaged dream turned reality.
Bradley already had plans to play golf with your dad. And he had booked spa appointments for you and your mom. He was really excited to see her again in person, she had always made sure he’d felt welcomed in your family.
The timing of it couldn’t have been better. After all, he had a very important question he needed to ask their permission for.
He was looking forward to it all.
I wonder what question he has to ask her parents... 🥰
This was a drabble for my 'Like I Can' series, you can read it here!

Broken flowers.
The lovely @ben-c-group-therapy who asked for this:
<Hello, me again. I’d love to request some angst with a fluffy end. Miguel or Nick where reader is due to marry another man. The man and reader are at the alter and he just says he can’t marry her and leaves her there. He hadn’t given any clue he would do this. No cold feet. You stand shocked before leaving quickly. So Miguel or Nick was in the audience and they come to find you. Fluff. Comfort. Eventual sparks?? Idk. I can’t get the idea out of my head lol. Thanks so much!>
I decided to do Miguel for you this time. I really hope this is what you were looking for, I really enjoyed writing this. I love Miguel’s soft side when it comes out to play so I tapped into that and slight Sex and City movie vibes.
Warnings: Being left at the aisle angst with a fluffy happy ending. Very very light swearing.
WC: 2227
Enjoy x
You had never been this excited in your life as you were when your dad walked you down the aisle to Alex. You had both picked the Santo Padre country club for your wedding and reception. Everything looked better than what you had imagined it to be. Your eyes were set on Alex from the moment the doors opened stepping through them, but he didn’t look happy so you just put it down to him being nervous. As you got to the front seats you stopped waiting for your mum to stand up taking your other arm to walk you to the alter. Your eyes caught your best friends over your mum’s head, who was sitting next to her, a tear running down his cheek, Miguel mouthed “You look beautiful” and you gave him a wink back.
The ceremony had run smoothly up until the vows when the priest asked Alex to take your hands and to repeat after him, when you heard him mutter “I can’t”. You looked at the priest who was shocked at his reaction and you squeezed Alex’s arm with your free hand stepping a little closer,
“Babe it’s ok, you’re nervous”
“Y/N, I can’t. I’ am sorry. I can’t”
Your heart shattered when he pulled away from you and he walked out of the chapel leaving you standing there alone, your flowers dropped out of your hand landing on the floor breaking off the stems scattering around the bottom of your dress. No one knew what to do or what to say to you, but you heard the whispering that was getting louder and louder.
Tears welled in your eyes and you just ran. You felt Miguel grab your arm, but you pulled away from his grip and ran straight out the side door. You ran and ran till you got to the edge of the grounds to a man-made lake with a fountain in the middle, you dropped down under a tree in the grass and you sobbed till your whole body was shaking, letting out a loud scream.
Miguel had rage bolting through him at what had just happened to you. You guys had been best friends since high school. You had grown closer and closer over the years, being close with Emily when he got married and you had been there for him when he got divorced. You were one of the only people that never shied away from him, even when he took over the family business, knowing what he was, what he had become and what he did. Other than his mother, you were the most important woman in his life.
You were both brutally honest with each other telling each other everything, other than talking about the Galindo business dealings that you wanted to know nothing about and he knew what you thought about him taking over the business because he was so much better than a Cartel Boss, which weirdly made you closer. His family business never changed your friendship with him and you had inside joke’s when he went over the border and about his yellow rain coat that you had heard rumours about. If either of you were unbalanced or needed someone to tell you to get your shit together, you went to each other.
If you hadn’t felt the way you did about how Miguel delt with things, he would have had Alex in his church pew and would have been in his yellow rain coat making him pay for what he had done to you. Miguel got Marcus to take your parent’s home and stay with them in case they needed anything, Nestor got everyone out and on their way, Paco went to grab all your things from the hotel room you were meant to be staying in that night and then went to get your luggage from your apartment to take it all to his place and he sorted out the reception.
After he spoke to the manger coming to an agreement, he grabbed a chilled bottle of wine that was sitting on one of the tables and started to walk around the grounds looking for you. It wasn’t long before he saw you and his heart broke at you sitting there alone with your dress fanned around you and your shoulders slouched over.
You were looking out over the lake, the sun setting slowly and you tried to work everything out in your head. You didn’t know what happened or why Alex did what he did. As far as you knew everything was fine, he was excited to marry you and start a family. You had both decided that you would stay in your own apartment the week leading to the wedding and move the rest of your things over to his house once you were back from your four-week honeymoon, split between Cabo and Cancun. You had heard from him every night that week so, you were confused at what had happened not being able to put a finger on why.
You were pulled out of your chain of thought when you heard footsteps in the grass, but you didn’t turn around till you heard his voice and he sat down right next to you,
“Mi alma”
You looked over at him, a soft sweet smile on his face and he handed you the bottle of wine after opening it for you. You looked into his eyes for a moment, tears running out of yours and his filled with tears. Miguel put his hand on the back of your head pulling you towards him kissing your forehead. You both sat there, passing the wine bottle between each other watching the sun disappear, the warm wind hitting both of your skins,
“Didn’t see that coming” you muttered taking a sip from the bottle.
“He showed no sign he was going to call it off?”
“No. He told me last night he couldn’t wait to marry me. What a fucking joke” you took another sip of wine.
“Want the rain coat?” Miguel looked down at you with a grin. It was the first time since what happened that you had smiled and had a little giggle. You lent into him, Miguel’s arm going around you, rubbing his big warm hand up and down your arm and you rested your head on his shoulder “Today shouldn’t have happened Y/N, he’s an asshole. You deserve to be treated like a queen” he lent his head on top of yours and you sighed into him.
“I have to cancel the honeymoon and the flights. Can I use your phone?”
“No” Miguel sat up away from you and you frowned your brows at him “You’re going on that trip; you have been looking forward to it. I’ll change his ticket into my name. We’re going and we’ll have a great time”
“What would I do without you?” you lent over kissing his cheek “Can I have your jacket?”
“Of course”
Miguel shrugged it off handing it to you. You reached behind yourself tugging down the zipper of your dress. Miguel reached over pulling it down the rest of the way, his breathing hitching slightly when your dress fell open to your smooth skin. You pushed the top of your dress to your chest and took one arm out of the straps at a time. You put Miguel’s jacket on and you stood up, the dress fell off you pooling at your feet. You pulled his jacket around yourself and done up the buttons stepping out of the dress, his jacket on you like a short dress,
“You better get home and pack. Flights at 7 am” you smiled down at Miguel before you started to walk away.
“You’re going to leave your dress here? You loved that dress”
Miguel jumped up catching up to you, putting his arm around your neck,
“I don’t want the reminder Miguel, of what was meant to be. I’ am absolutely heart broken, but it’s done, we need to move on”
Eight weeks later
Miguel was surprised and proud at how well you handled the situation, he not handling his marriage break down anywhere near as coolly as you and when you found out the real reason why Alex did what he did, you went for run instead of breaking down. He never pushed you to talk about anything, he waited till you came to him to talk and he held you while you cried. Some night’s you walked into his room crying, he held you while you feel asleep, sleeping in his bed and other nights you were fine. He talked you into moving in with him so you weren’t by yourself and you had organised movers so that everything would be at Miguel’s when you got back.
It was the third week of the trip that you noticed a shift in Miguel and how he treated you, but you didn’t want to pay attention to it so you pushed it away trying not to think about it, but your feelings changed towards him as well. Since you had been back from the trip and getting on with life as best you could, it was getting to the point that you didn’t know if you should step over that line, if you said something and it was all in your head that would be years and years of trust and friendship broken, but you couldn’t live under the same roof with someone that you had feelings for, them not knowing.
When you had been getting messages from him during your day, you smiled at your screen and your tummy filled with butterflies. Miguel was excited to be coming home to you every day and his mind drifted to you most of his day, but the day he knew he had to say something was the day he came home and you were in the kitchen. He had seen you cook and bake too many times over the years to count and the apron you wore, he had bought it for you one Christmas.
When he walked in and the music hit his ear drums, he smiled to himself and walked around till you were in his eye sight. He saw the oven on, by the scent flowing through the house you were cooking your chicken pasta bake and you were leaning over a tray of cupcakes with a piping bag icing them. He smiled to himself and knew at that point he was falling in love with you. He watched on for a while, grinning at how natural it looked for you to be in his kitchen. You sensed that someone was watching you, looking up after you iced the last cupcake. You met Miguel’s eyes and you both grinned at each other, you both stood there starring till heat swept over you.
You reached behind yourself undoing the apron and sitting it on the counter. You started to walk towards him, Miguel matching your steps your eyes not leaving each other’s. You were just about to him when you stopped, he copying you and you were both breathing heavy,
“You feel it too” Miguel whispered, more a statement than a question.
“Yes. I have for a while”
“That night in Cabo?”
“Yeah”
You couldn’t take your eyes off each other, almost like a test to see who would crack first. It wasn’t long till you had your answer and it was both of you, it was like a magnet pulled you both together. Your arms went around his neck and his went down to wrap around just under your behind, lifting you up off the floor. Your lips met, meeting together like a puzzle, you felt like lightening had struck you and you knew he felt it too moaning into your mouth.
You both titled your heads and allowed the kiss to deepen. Miguel walked you both to the counter, sitting you on it not breaking the kiss. You spread your legs for him and he moved between them, your arms loosened around his neck and your hands went to his bearded cheeks. Your lungs started to burn and you broke the kiss, Miguel smiling up at you,
“We’ve been friends for a long time” your hands ran down from his cheeks and stopped on his chest “You know there is no going back now”
“I don’t want to go back anywhere. Y/N, you’re my best friend. You are the only one that knows me amor, takes me for me, holds me accountable for my actions and you keep me grounded. You are the only one that has ever loved me no matter what”
“As always, you always know what I’ am thinking and say first” you both laughed and you tapped his chest with your hands “I want this, so much. But can we take it slow? It’s a big step for us and it’s the first relationship we have both been in since-“
Miguel curled his pointer finger under your chin and tipped your head back, his other hand going to rest on top of your other one,
“As slow as you want, as fast as you want. We are still the same people, the same friends, we are just falling in love” Miguel peaked your lips.
“And it feels absolutely amazing.”

**We added a Part 3! Read it here.
You laughed to hide the disgust, discreetly rolling your made-up eyes in response to the dull droning’s of some Stepford housewife. She was blonde with capped teeth, the fillers in her lips making her look more like a platypus rather than a human. Despite her cheerful attitude, you could tell she was critiquing you…eyeing you with concealed disdain. You were no stranger to those expressions. People often judged you for many different reasons. Tonight, it was because of who you came with.
Miguel had been whisked away from your side, most likely to discuss business. You were enough of a professional to keep yourself busy. Stay hidden, but seen. Engage, but don’t bring attention to yourself. You were there for looks and nothing else. But Tina had trapped you. Talking your ear off about Botox and country clubs and her quaint vacation spots to a little resort across the border. You inwardly cringed at that. The elite loved to talk shit on the country south of the border, but were the first to book first class tickets to experience “the culture”.
You felt a light touch to your arm and tried not to jerk away as Tina questioned you with a silent gaze.
“I’m sorry, what was that?” You asked, sipping on your champagne as you did. The one good thing about these galas was the booze. Always top notch.
“Your dress…where did you get it? It’s so…daring.”
The insult was clear. Poorly hidden within the high-pitch of her sickly sweet voice. You only smiled, having played this game with many women throughout your life. If you had to guess, Tina had been married to her husband for ten plus years. They probably had a couple of kids. She probably took care of those kids, letting her husband work and fuck someone else in peace. She probably did yoga three to four times a week, thinking it would keep her husband around. She did the same with the Botox and fillers. Most likely having a little nip and tuck too. She was pathetic. A dime a dozen in this godforsaken social circle. You didn’t know if you could blame her. But you sure as hell weren’t giving her a free pass either.
“Thanks. I was going to go for something more conservative, kinda like yours. But I realized I’d rather Miguel actually want to fuck me tonight.”
Her face went hard, mouth open in shock at your blatant dig. You kept the smile on your face, even when Miguel saddled up next to you, interrupting your caddy interaction. Tina’s husband joined her as well, his eyes sweeping up your figure in a not so discreet fashion.
“Having fun?” Miguel asked, no doubt feeling the tension between you and the other woman. His hand wrapped around your waist, his fingers pressing into your flesh. He was signaling you, letting you know he knew what game you were playing and he wanted you to wrangle it in.
“Absolutely. I was just telling Tina where I got my dress from.” You addressed the group, enjoying the way the man and woman eyed you. She with contempt. He with lust.
“You want something like that, honey?” The man asked his wife, the childish excitement practically spewing out of his pores.
“She’d look great in it.” You insisted with a devious smile, catching the way Tina pursed her overinflated lips at you. “Just a tip though…you can’t really wear any underwear with this dress so I hope you’re okay with that.”
You swore you saw the husband pop a boner right there while Tina seethed and twisted her face in disgust.
Wench.
Miguel tugged at your arm, clearing his throat and effectively ending the conversation. “Excuse us.”
You followed him as he led you out the glass doors and onto the terrace. It was deserted, the life of the party contained within the walls of the hotel ballroom. He was mindful of your heels, pulling you along but not forcefully. Though you were sure that had more to do with the lurking eyes rather than any form of chivalry.
“Was that necessary?” Miguel questioned, bringing you to a stop in a dimly lit corner.
You could hear the soft melodic tune of crickets over the heinous shit they were playing inside. The cool breeze swept over your skin, soothing the heat that had begun to stir, both from the alcohol and your tense interaction with Tina. You let your gaze take in the man before you. Take in the perfectly coiffed hair, the designer suit, the angular jaw, the intense dark eyes. He was attractive no doubt, which made your job all the more easier.
“She started it.” You retorted, trying hard to keep the smile off your lips. You knew he wasn’t happy with your little display, but he also wasn’t showing that anger outright. He found it amusing. You could see the glint in his eyes.
“I bet she did.” His gaze swept your figure, taking in all the dips and curves. He’d remarked on how beautiful you looked when he’d picked you up earlier in the evening, but now…now he was looking at you as if you were a very expensive steak on a silver platter.
The dress was a soft ivory color, the fabric delicate and beaded. It was sheer, but the nude paneling underneath kept you from exposing any body parts. It was fitted to your figure, the strapless sweetheart neckline doing wonders for your décolletage. It had a slit up the side, but you’d made sure it wasn’t too high. The illusion of nudity was shocking enough. And Tina was right. It was a daring dress, but it encompassed everything you needed it to. Money. Sex. Poise. And you looked damn good in it. It was a physical testament to your working relationship with Miguel. It was shocking. A hidden scandal all dressed in crystals and jewels.
It was amazing what people in this town would turn the other cheek for. Whether some or all knew of your association with Miguel you’d never know, but if you had to take a guess…they probably treated it like his occupation. Coveted but never acknowledged.
“She looked at me like a whore.” You defended. You stepped into his space, abandoning your champagne glass on the ledge of the balcony. You took his own glass and did the same with it, freeing up his hands.
He smirked at your words, the expression sending a lightning bolt of heat straight to your core. “Aren’t you?”
He was smug. And rightfully so. You were already wet. It was as if he could read your mind. He knew without even exploring the space between your thighs what he would find there. He knew what turned you on. It was the same for him. Its why you were the perfect match.
“Your whore.” You whispered against his lips, enjoying the way his jaw clenched. His expression was tight while his chest expanded with a deep breath. His right hand began trailing along the curve of your waist and down to your backside, caressing. You let his hand roam freely, unafraid of the consequence.
“No panties, huh?” He asked, punctuating his words with a fierce grab of your ass. He massaged the flesh, pulling a low moan from your painted lips. You gripped the lapels of his suit, steadying yourself against the rush of desire that now held you prisoner.
“A practical decision.” You replied, leaning further into his body. He let his arms surround you, this time smoothing both of his hands over your lower half. Your eyes fluttered closed, your chest rubbing against his in a silent plea.
“Practical how?” He raised his eyebrow, waiting for your response. His hands began slowly pulling at your dress, shifting the material up your legs and thighs.
“Easier to convince you to fuck me in the middle of a gala.” You teased, tongue darting out to lick seductively at his bearded lips.
He grunted in approval, fingers finding their way to the epicenter of your excitement. He danced along your inner thighs, taking note of the way they clenched. They were already slippery with your arousal, your body getting off just on the anticipation alone. He teased your slit, his eyes watching your face closely. You bit your lip as you tried to shift against his touch, eager for more. You didn’t know what made it so thrilling to sleep with Miguel. It could’ve been a multitude of things. His wealth, his authority, his arrogance. It all combined to make a sensuous elixir. One that had you addicted.
“You’re worth every fucking penny I spend on you.” He breathed against your lips, catching the gasp you released when his fingers finally penetrated you. Your nails dug into his chest, struggling for purchase as he scissored you. His palm rubbed at your clit as he worked you from the inside out.
“Fuck…” You moaned when he curled his fingers against your walls. He was encouraging your body to flood him, coaxing an orgasm to the surface. Who were you to deny him?
“You’d let me do what I want, right?”
You nodded wordlessly, too caught up in his touch to verbalize. His rhythm began to accelerate, forcing your pussy to cling to him in mercy.
“You’d let me fuck you right here for everyone to see. Let them see what my money buys. What I own.”
You couldn’t stop the litany of whimpers and moans that danced off your lips. His words set you ablaze, amplifying the pleasure to insurmountable heights. You forgot about your surroundings. Forgot that the pretentious society of Santo Padre stood only feet away. Your body’s carnal desires were the only thing that fueled you from that moment. That and Miguel’s sinful mouth.
“Turn around.” He demanded lowly, his fingers leaving the confines of your body and trailing the stickiness along your skin.
You didn’t ask questions. You didn’t hesitate. You gave yourself over completely to Miguel, proving to him why you were his favorite…his only. You faced the pristinely manicured courtyard, gripping the balcony ledge as he raised the hem of your dress to expose your lower half. His belt was already undone, his zipper down. He pressed into you, letting you feel the hard line of his cock beneath the fabric of his underwear. You opened your neck up to him in invitation and were instantly rewarded with the delicious graze of his lips and tongue.
“Spread your legs, baby. Let me in.” He whispered against your neck, his hand trailing down your spine. You shivered and obeyed dutifully, letting his body line up with you. The heat of his flesh met yours as he slowly began to push in. No matter how many times or the various ways you’d let Miguel fuck you, he always stretched you with an ache that bordered on painful. The sensation took your breath away.
“Miguel…” You moaned into the night, reaching an arm behind you to thread your fingers into his hair. You tugged at the strands as he sunk all the way into your depths. Your walls throbbed against his cock, feeling the pulse of his blood as he stood completely still. You both savored the moment of raw lust. Savored the erotic connection of your bodies. Savored the risk of fucking with Miguel’s friends and associates just beyond a glass door.
“Tell me what you need.”
You tried to wiggle your hips, but his hands held you firm. You were impaled on his cock, trapped between him and the balcony. You had nowhere to go.
“Move…fuck me, please.” You pleaded, soaking up the kisses he continued to lavish on your neck. His teeth scraped along your earlobe, nibbling as he went.
“Please what?”
You inwardly gloated at his question, realizing the mood he was in. Miguel only ever asked you such a question when he was feeling especially playful and that usually meant a five star orgasm for you.
“Daddy.” You corrected. You could feel his cock twitch inside of you in response and you squeezed him back, relishing the curse he growled out.
Without warning, he thrust hard and deep, pinning you roughly against the concrete ledge. You yelped at the force of it, your breath catching in your throat. He kept up his brutal pace, using slow, measured thrusts. His fingertips dug into your hips. He grunted like a primal beast as he plunged so deep that you were forced onto your tiptoes.
“Oh, fuck…” You bent forward and braced yourself as he continued to ravage you, the angle making your toes curl. You flinched when you felt the sudden pressure of his finger at your clit, his hand unknowingly making its journey up the front of your dress.
“I can feel you, baby. You’re ready. Be a good girl and cum, yeah?” He taunted.
Miguel’s flare for pillow talk was about as masterful as his cock. His mouth was an instrument. An instrument he used with expert precision. He knew when to strike. Knew when to utilize his talent to make you cum harder than any other time before.
You squeezed your eyes shut as a cyclone of pleasure swept you up and immobilized you. Your entire body shook with uncontrolled tremors as wave after treacherous wave of climax assailed your body. You felt him still inside you. He could feel every swirl of your hips, every earth-shattering shockwave that ricocheted off his cock. You gasped for air as his finger continued to torture your clit, despite your sudden oversensitivity. He prolonged your orgasm, praising the way you squeezed him.
“That’s it. Just like that.” He talked you through it, tenderly caressing your cheek as if he wasn’t still splitting you in two. His hips resumed their pace, the sound of him entering you now amplified by your release. You grasped onto his forearm as his hand reached around to squeeze at your throat. His hold wasn’t hard, but it was enough to make you feel unsteady on your four inch heels. The ledge dug into your hips as he rutted into you, his own hips stuttering in overwhelming ecstasy.
“Cum inside me…fill me up.” You said between each ragged breath you took.
“Fuck,” He cursed, plastering your body to his as he finished. The flood of warmth filled you, his body spasming with each spurt of his cum. There wasn’t an iota of space left between your bodies as he used you, painting your insides and filling you to capacity. His forehead rested on the back of your neck, his breathing beginning to slow as he floated back into the moment.
His tired chuckle made you laugh, the vibrations making you both hiss. You ran your hands through the hair at the nape of his neck, your touch much softer than the previous time. He carefully eased himself out of your clutches, but he didn’t let your dress fall back into place. Instead, he ran a finger over your abused slit, slipping past and coating the appendage. You gasped at the unexpected intrusion, but let him do as he pleased.
A second later he was removing his finger and spinning you around, your dress now covering any modesty you had left. You met his gaze, seeing his hair slightly out of place and a corner of his mouth lifted in a devious smirk. He raised the finger, letting you see the mixture of you and him that covered it. He smeared it onto your lips.
“Beautiful…” He whispered, nodding in approval when you immediately licked the concoction from your lips. He pulled you in for a kiss, his tongue instantly seeking entrance into your mouth. You gave it, letting him taste the champagne and the flavor of your combined releases. You pulled away breathless and satiated, the drunken high of your coupling still very prominent.
“So should I not wear panties from now on?” You teased, stepping back to allow him the room to adjust his pants and shirt. He composed himself, tucking in his shirt as he laughed at your question. You reached up and fixed his hair, noting the hints of grey intertwined in the inky locks.
“Something to think about.” He replied matter-of-factly, eyebrow raised as if pondering the pros of such a decision. He let you fuss with his hair, black eyes fixated on your chest. “That is quite the dress. A little on the nose, don’t you think?”
“Maybe. But if I’m going to look like a whore then at least it’s an expensive one. Right, Daddy?” You winked, trailing a painted nail over his lips and down to adjust the collar of his shirt.
He shook his head and chuckled, gaze now scanning the area for people. “Come on.” He gestured to the ballroom, leading you with a hand to your lower back.
You thanked him as he opened the door for you, letting you pass with a subtle pat to your ass. He maneuvered through the crowd with you, stopping momentarily to greet the occasional acquaintance. You’d grabbed another flute of champagne, standing silent beside Miguel as he spoke with a local politician. Your eyes found Tina’s across the room, a scowl still permanently etched onto her face. You brought a finger up to your lips and made a show of wiping the sides of your mouth, your message clear. She looked appalled, beady eyes bouncing between you and Miguel as if she was putting the pieces of a puzzle together. You took a hearty sip of your drink and waved, pleased when she shook her head and walked off in a huff.
“Behave. I don’t pay you to ruin my relationships with the locals.” Miguel warned in your ear, his arm back around your waist in a possessive embrace.
“No, you pay me to suck your dick and swallow your cum.” You countered.
You took your own kind of sick pleasure out of shocking and sassing Miguel. It was what made all your encounters with him so damn fun. The man’s buttons were easy to push. Some days he played along, like today. Other times he fought against you, intent on punishing you for your transgressions.
“Speaking of,” You continued, handing off your glass to him. “Your cum is currently running down my leg so I’m gonna go to the ladies’ room.”
His eyes flickered down to your thighs hidden beneath your dress, a flash of desire sweeping across his face. He nodded, fixing you with a firm stare. “There and back. No detours.”
“Yes sir.” You mocked, taking his hand in yours.
This time, he wasn’t amused.
“I think it’s time I remind you what your purpose is.” He responded coolly, squeezing your hand back in a deceivingly tight hold. It was an obvious warning that he wanted you to heed, but you’d do no such thing. Playful Miguel was fun, but you yearned for that darker, twisted side that was bred from running a cartel operation.
So, you leaned forward and kissed him on the corner of his mouth, letting your tongue dart out to taste him. You patted his chest with a placating expression, surely sealing your date with the devil later.
“I can’t wait.”

Mi Alma - Part Five
A few years ago, Miguel, Lina, Nestor, and you were laughing together in a restaurant in Florence, Italy. Back then, you thought you would have many other happy moments with them. But then everything changed - was it for the worse, or for the best?
Love, Murder, Friendship, and Trust.
Mi Alma, a story with Miguel Galindo, Nestor Oceteva, Lina Brayer (OC) and Aurélie „Elie“ Gaillard (OC)
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five
Warning: smut
Words: 1983
London, UK – Present
As soon as you open your front door, you see Nestor jumping from your sofa and walking toward you. Without saying anything or giving you the chance to walk away, he kisses you passionately. You take a few seconds to process before kissing him back. His reaction and his words are still hurting, but you also really missed the feeling of his lips and his arms around you. This kiss leaves you breathless, and when he pulls you in his arms, you are burying your face in his chest.
"I'm sorry, Mi Alma. I'm sorry for not believing in you. I'm sorry for thinking that you were playing with me. And I'm sorry for comparing you to Lina. Miguel explained to me why he was here as soon as you left!" he says while tightly his hold on you.
"It was 3 weeks ago, Nes ..." you say while trying to pull away to look at him.
"Yeah, I know ..." He whispers while letting you step back a little. His hands are still holding your waist, ready to pull you back if you decide to reject him.
"So why did you not come sooner?"
"I struggled a bit to process the fact that Miguel could have a Female friend."
You couldn't help yourself but smile at that statement. When Nestor sees it, he leans again to kiss you. It's a lot softer than earlier. He knows you enough to understand that you will not reject him now.
The alarm of your oven interrupts you to signal that the diner that Nestor prepared is ready. While he is dressing the plates, you open a bottle of wine and pour some into two glasses before placing them on your dining table.
As soon as the diner is finished, you basically jump on him. He catches you without any effort and takes you to the bedroom. You strip each other of your clothes. He sits against the head of the bed and pulls you on top. He grabs the back of your head to bring it toward him and kiss you with such a force that you know your lips are going to be swollen tomorrow.
You try to roll, but he holds you tight and whispers: "Ride me."
You grab his hard member and slide down, taking all of him inside of you. A moan escapes your both months at the same time. He seems bigger than you remember, and you have to stay still to get used to the feeling.
Seeing you almost in pain, Nestor cups your cheek and make you look at him.
"Maybe we should do a bit more of foreplays next time," you say softly while kissing his hand.
He was about to say something when you start to move your hips in circles. The feeling makes him pull his head back immediately.
You now bounce on him, his hands running on your thighs until they reach your ass and give you a small spank. You moan at the feeling and close your eyes. He gives you a harder one, and you fall back on him.
"You like that?" He asks you while placing his arms around your waist to hold you tight. He doesn't give you a chance to reply and start to thrust deeper and faster into you. You come almost at the same time, screaming each other names.
----
It is now eight months that you and Nestor are together. Most of the time, you see each other in your apartment, but he manages to organize a few weekends in remote places in Europe. Even if it's not like if the location matters really.
You spent more and more time on foreplays, and you could stay hours in bed with your man. You lost track of the number of beard burns you had between your thighs or bit marks on your chest. You also discover that he is your favorite flavor, and scratching his lower stomach with your nails will always make him twitch deep inside your throat.
You never spoke about it, but he was already keeping your connection as secret as possible before, so nothing change at that level. Therefore, all the marks you leave on each other bodies have to be in hidden places. You both became really good at that and you are fine with it: you couldn't really go to work with prints of his fingers around your throat. Your waist, was much more discreet.
You were about to enter a meeting still thinking about that when you see an incoming call from a hidden number. As soon as you answer, you smile like a teenager when you recognize the voice.
"Can you take a few days off?"
"Are you organizing another nice weekend?" you ask him playfully.
"He needs you." the seriousness in his voice combined with his words make you shiver.
"I will take the first plane in the morning."
Santo Padre, USA – Present
After almost a 20-hour journey, you finally reach Miguel's home. You came several times, and even if he always make sure that you feel comfortable, you are still a bit intimated with its size.
Nestor welcomes you at the door and gives you a quick kiss on the corner of your lips. The gestor will typically make you smile, but you can feel that he is tense and looks tired.
"What wrong?" you ask him while taking his hand and giving it a quick squeeze before releasing him. You know most house employees are somehow already aware of your relationship with him, but you also noticed several bikes.
"It's business-related, so I can't give you all the details. He is furious, and none of us can approach him."
"Us?" you interrogate him while following him inside the house toward two men that you never met before.
"This is Marcus, his new advisor, and Bishop, a business partner."
"Nice to meet you, I'm..." Before you have the chance to answer, you hear a loud sound behind the door following by Miguel's voice. You instantly go to the door and enter the room.
"What the fuck are you doing?! I ask that nobody disturb me!" he screams while slapping his hands on his desk.
"Miguel?" you say with a soft voice. When he sees you, he just crashes into his office chair behind him. Any other person over than you will have probably spent a very painful moment for disturbing him, but not you. You are his safe place. You immediately go to him and drop on your knees in front of him. You are putting your hands on his thighs before saying still with your soft voice: "What happen?"
"Elie ... I can't speak about it with you," he tells you while robbing his face with both hands before looking down at you.
"I know, but you can speak with the people standing on the other side of this door. You choose them to be around you, which means that you trusted them and their abilities to do business with you. Is it not the case anymore?"
His features soften at your words. You never push him to tell you about his "job," and you always trusted him. You proved it a few months after what happen in Morocco, in this room.
Gently placing back a lock of your hair behind your ear, he pulls you a bit toward him before leaning down to you and kissing the tip of your nose.
"Thank you."
"That's what friends are for," you say with a smile on your face.
"Yeah ..." he replies while looking at your hands still on his thighs and giving you a wink.
You laugh a bit shily before removing them and standing up. There was never any real sexual tension between Miguel and you; you just happen to be two extremely touchy people. But that doesn't mean that Miguel was not playing with it from time to time, and you have to admit that your hands were a bit too high on his thighs.
After making sure that he was presentable, you ask him if he is ready before opening the door.
"Marcus, come in," Miguels says as soon as you leave the room.
Once the door closes behind Marcus, Nestor comes to you and asks you if you already ate something today.
"Just my usual liter of coffee," you reply with an innocent smile on your face. He breath deeply while shaking his head before bringing you to the kitchen to prepare you a sandwich. As much as he hates when you replace food with coffee, you love when he prepare you something to eat.
"Don't think I didn't notice the bruises," you say pointing at his head and hands. As you say that, you can hear a laugh behind, and when you turn, you notice that the man has some matching ones. Your eyes meet for a moment, and he stops laughing almost immediately.
Bishop walks to you and shakes your hand before saying: "I'm not sure who you are but thank you. It was quite impressive that you manage to calm him so quickly."
"Yeah, she tends to do that," says Nestor while putting the sandwich in front of you. He robs your back discretely so Bishop can't see it and asks you to eat.
You thank him, but before you had the time to say anything else, Nestor asks him to follow him. They go a bit further away to discuss, so you take your phone to check your emails. That was one of your job's advantages, as long as you had an internet connection, you could work from everywhere in the world.
Felling someone looking at you, you check around you and see the man from earlier staring at you. Tall, with tattooed arms, dark hair, and a thick beard, he is a good looking guy, this you have to admit. But you don't know whether you want to hug him or punch him. You see him take a step toward you when Miguel and Marcus get out of the office. They both start giving orders to everyone, and soon after, there is just you, Miguel, Nestor, and Marcus left in the house.
"Marcus, let me properly introduce you to Aurélie. She is one of our dearest friends. Aurélie, Marcus is my new adviser."
"Aurélie? That's an unusual name. Nice to meet you." says Marcus before giving you a quick kiss on both cheeks.
"It's French. Nice to meet you too, Marcus," you reply. You like him; he seems calm and gives you a fatherly feeling.
"How long are you staying?" asks Miguel
"I actually didn't book any return ticket, so I'm not sure yet."
"Well, you know you can stay for as long as you want and use the studio to work."
The rest of the evening is just doing some small talk, but you just want to go to bed with Nestor. You understand he needed to be distant while the other men were still there, but now it's only the four of you. Unfortunately, they still have to speak about some business topic, so you excuse yourself and go to your bedroom. It's not really yours, but you always sleep in this one ever since the first time.

2020 Wild Playoff Predictions
The trade deadline arrived and teams are gearing up for the final run in the last month of baseball. In a shortened season that feels like it only started yesterday, the current 2020 season is locking in for the playoffs that follow in October. With the new playoff format shifting to 16 teams in each league, the race is on to see who will be punching their tickets to the postseason. There are a handful of teams who are obvious contenders to make a run in the playoffs; however, with the recent trend of the Nationals and controversial Astros winning their first titles, it would be nice to see other teams try to accomplish that feat. There are also some teams that have been surprising, as their fans had no expectation of them making the playoffs at all. It will be great to see a 'Cinderella story' or a franchise win their first World Series, let's should definitely look at some of the possible contenders to weigh their odds of doing so at the end of the playoffs.
Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers were particularly quiet at the end of the trade deadline yesterday and made only one move by acquiring David Phelps from the Phillies. They also released Brock Holt and let Logan Morrison elect free agency, which in turn demonstrates that they are losing fire power as far as hitting is concerned. It looks like the Brewers chances are hanging more by a thread of returning back to the playoffs after representing the National League Central over the past two seasons. Still, their playoff odds have not completely gone out the window with their current chances over fifty-percent. What plays more into their favor is who is left on their schedule and which teams they are matched up against. The hardest matchups are against the Cubs, Indians, and the makeup games against the Cardinals. The Brewers should be able to handle the Tigers, Royals, and challenge the Reds on a decent level. The key to returning to the playoffs is outplaying the Cardinals, who will be restless from making up the games they missed from the beginning of the season. Winning those games will be essential for building momentum into the playoffs, and possibly making a deep run trying to win their first World Series.
Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays have been demonstrating how well their farm system has developed and how competitive they can be in their division. They have also been hungry to return to the playoffs since their Wild Card berth in 2016. Currently holding the bottom seed in the playoff of the American League, the Blue Jays have the best tests ahead of them to see if they are ready for the playoffs and possibly gain a higher spot in the seeding. They have yet to play the Yankees all season, who are battered and bruised with injury and are not the same team they were from last year, and are relying on backup players. There is a total of ten games that have to be played between New York and Toronto and if the Blue Jays can win the majority of those games, they could possibly move ahead of the Yankees for second place. Other challenges the team has to face are the Phillies and the surprising Marlins who are current contenders. The rest of the teams the Blue Jays have to face are the Orioles, Red Sox, and Mets; which will not come easy but they can definitely outplay them. The Blue Jays have not lifted the World Series trophy since their last win in 1993, they also won the year before that. It would be great to see Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, and Hyun-Jin Ryu become champions in the young service time, making this team a bigger threat for their age.
Colorado Rockies
The Rockies are always considered a fringe contender, yet they always seem to lose their footing before the season comes to an end. The Rockies started hot within the first fifteen games of the season going 11-4, but they seemed to be brought back into reality with one game under .500 at 18-19. At a current spot in sixth and behind the Padres and Dodgers, the team will have to do everything possible to win as many games as they can in order to remain a contender for the playoffs. Easy matchups for the Rockies include the Giants, Angels, and Diamondbacks who sold everyone at the deadline on Monday. Harder matchups for the team includes seven games with the Dodgers, a series with the Padres, and two short games with the Athletics. The Rockies have only been to one World Series after winning the National League pennant in 2007. Unfortunately, the team was swept by the Boston Red Sox and have never been back since. The Rockies are another team that could make a 'Cinderella story'.
Miami Marlins
It is funny how things work into your favor after being under the weather for a few days, and the Marlins are no exception to this rule. A true Wild Card in this whole shortened season, this team was not even considered anywhere a part of the competition and has been winning games to remain relevant in the playoff picture. Playing well into their opponents, the Marlins have a decent series against the struggling Red Sox, Yankees, and title hungover Nationals that can be taken advantage of. Their major obstacles include the Braves, Rays, and the Phillies. The series with the Phillies will be a true difference maker on staying relevant in this playoff race, which happens to be makeup games and have yet to display the talent of the two teams playing each other this season. The Marlins won their last title in 2003 during their Wild Card that shocked the world. Will they shock the world again and win a third World Series title? Only time will tell.
San Diego Padres
This is a team that is a definite playoff contender and it could be highly possible that they represent the National League in the World Series. The Padres have broken the "unwritten" rules of baseball and have taken the pedal to the metal in competing into their competition. What is even far more impressive is that they are the team that indefinitely won the trade deadline by acquiring a great deal of talent without sacrificing too much of their farm system. The Padres added Mike Clevinger into their rotation, which can definitely separate them in their division and help them run away with it. They can easily handle the rest of their opponents and all eyes will be on them when they host the Dodgers for the last time of the season in the middle of September. They also have a road series in Oakland, which will test their versatility on who they can challenge from the American League. Like the Blue Jays, this team is young and full of youth; however the Padres have never won a World Series and this would be the team to do so by breaking all the rules.
Tampa Bay Rays
A hot take that no one ever considers from the season prior is that had the Astros scandal surfaced before the postseason, the Rays would have beat them in the opening round of last season. The difference, the Astros represented the American League in the World Series…imagine if the Rays were the team instead of the Astros. No one likes to talk about the year prior, and that goes double for the Rays this season. A team that retooled even better than they were before last year, this team is firing on all cylinders and is sitting atop the American League with the best record. The Rays have also dominated their competition in their division, not losing a series since the beginning of August against the Orioles. Even more to their advantage, their schedule is not too difficult with the last month of baseball, with the Rays having the best chance of finishing the season winning 40-plus games. The Rays only had one trip to the World Series in 2008 and lost to the Phillies. Winning the franchise's first World Series title is everything this team needs to hold a strong presence in baseball, especially if it means saving the franchise from leaving the Tampa Bay area.
In an interesting match-up, the San Diego Padres and the Tampa Bay Rays would make a World Series to see which franchise is hungrier for their first title. Other teams that were not included on the list include a lethal Chicago White Sox team who just earned first place of the American League Central. With their crosstown rival also in first, an all Chicago World Series is more likely to happen than a Subway World Series featuring the city of New York. The Dodgers have been major favorites to win the title since the trade that brought the team Mookie Betts. They have not won a World Series title in 31-years when they beat the Oakland Athletics with the famous Kirk Gibson home run. Of all the teams that will make the playoffs, it will be a wild season to see who will be a part of the first 16-seeded playoffs of baseball, and hopefully it is one to remember.

Name? ➔ “Gabriel Jimenez. My friends call me Gabe, Gabby, or General.”
Are you single? ➔ “Nah. Put a ring on Preston as soon as it felt right.”
Are you happy? ➔ “Very. I made the Commonwealth the safest region on the East coast. Turns out a little military training goes a long way.”
Are you angry? ➔ “Only if you’re trying to fuck over people who ain’t done nothing wrong.”
Are your parents still married? ➔ “They were until my padre got sick working on an oil rig off the Gulf Coast. Chemical leak. Mama never remarried.”
NINE FACTS
Birthplace? ➔ “Laredo, Texas.”
Hair color? ➔ “Black, but Preston likes to pretend he’s counting how many grays I’m getting. I love when he calls me ‘old man’.”
Eye color? ➔ “Brown.”
Birthday? ➔ “January 11th.”
Mood? ➔ “Generally, I try to stay laid back when it comes to things I can’t change. Always try to look on the bright side, y’know, but I can come off as a bit of a stiff in today’s crowd. Two hundred years and anyone would stick out like a sore thumb.”
Gender? ➔ “100% Grade ‘A’ man. Pure beef. Okay, I lied. I have a dangler, but to be honest, it doesn’t matter to me what I am. I feel good in both fatigues and a dress so neither I guess. I am beefy though.”
Summer or winter? ➔ “Winter. People resort to cuddling me for warmth because I’m a natural hot-rock. Win-win situation.”
Morning or afternoon? ➔ “Morning. I feel like my garden is more awake then and I like to encourage the flowers and crops when they’re not napping.”
EIGHT THINGS ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE
Are you in love? ➔ “Honestly, Piper? I think I found my soul-mate. Don’t get me wrong, my late wife Nora was amazing. I still think about her. Preston reminds me of her sometimes, especially when he scrunches his face up when I do something dumb, but he’s also a completely different person entirely. Half of me didn’t seem to wanna move on at first out of respect for Nora’s memory, but the other half just clicked with him the moment I met him. I think she would’ve liked him. He means everything to me now.”
Do you believe in love at first sight? ➔ “Happened to me twice now.”
Who ended your last relationship? ➔ “The mother-fucker who’s gun in hanging over my mantle place and collecting dust, right now. He thought he knew how shit worked, just like every other rotten sonofabitch I ran out of Boston. Thought because the world dealt him a shitty hand, that justified him shooting my wife in cold-blood. I don’t fuckin care what life did to you, the moment you take it out on someone who did you no wrong to you, you just completed the cycle and became as bad as the villain in your own story. It was no wonder that his life ended at the barrel of the 10mm pistol I’d named after her. l put her away when I’d gotten my skin, buried with my whip-smart, beautiful Nora and that’s when I really accepted I’d never see her again.”
Have you ever broken someone’s heart? ➔ “I used to be quit the heart-throb in my day, before the war. My face was on posters, I did public talks, felt like Elvis, y’know? My Army days are a bit of blur now, but I do regret saying I maybe flirted with one too many naive hopefuls.”
Are you afraid of commitments? ➔ “Not in the slightest. I love risk. Y’know, Nora was actually a government agent sent to keep an eye on me? Y’know, cause of the prototype super soldier stuff. She flirted and I dove head first. I took my time with Preston, though. It still feels like he’s out of my league and I didn’t wanna bother him with my baggage an matching luggage.”
Have you hugged someone within the last week? ➔ “Piper, please. We made the ‘cuddle puddle formation’ just last night when we were watching Loony Tunes in my house. I’m pretty sure I hugged: You, Preston, Dogmeat, Codwsorth for a little bit before he got squirrelly, Deacon, my second dad Longfellow, Nick, Joe, Cait, Strong, Ada, Curie, my five other dogs Gracie, Mishka, Duke, Sophie, and Screwball, and those Brotherhood boys came over too. Bruce and Danse, I think? X-6 was busy and Porter doesn’t really cuddle. I don’t know, there might of been more there. Point is I hug, a lot. (Out of character: Bruce is another OC. More on him later?)
Have you ever had a secret admirer? ➔ “I used to be famous. Had tons of those I’m sure. If only they knew.”
Have you ever broken your own heart? ➔ “Oh yea, but that comes with life. It’s like a term I heard from a fellow squaddie. She called it ‘Kintsugi’. Means when I break and repair the damage, and I come out with a unique design.”
SIX CHOICES
Love or lust? ➔ “My other head gets the better of me most of the time, twice now that has led be down the path to love, so I guess both?”
Lemonade or iced tea ➔ “Iced tea. Living in Texas, even during the pandemic, you could roll up to any joint and get a gallon of un-sweet delight for just sixteen bucks. Pretty cheap if you ask me.”
Cats or dogs? ➔ “Dogs. Preston has a cat, “Endicott’, and I try to be friendly with the feral creature but I swear it’s up to something. It just stares at me, menacingly.”
A few best friends or many regular friends? ➔ “I seem to make friends anywhere I go. Deacon says it’s because I have ‘charisma’ but I think my seven foot tall stature just makes people wanna be on my good side. Who knows?”
Wild night out or romantic night in? ➔ “Both. I make sure to mix it up with my ‘rey amor mio’”
Day or night? ➔ “Oddly enough, night-time in this new world is so beautiful. The stars are out, no air pollution, I have plenty of time to finish up my paperwork for the Minutemen in fucking peace. It’s quiet.”
FIVE HAVE YOU EVERS
Been caught sneaking out? ➔ “I would never...Okay that can be fact checked. Don’t include this okay, but yea, I sneak out from the Castle all the time. Gotta get away from Ronnie sometimes.”
Fallen down/up the stairs? ➔ “Never. I have the reflexes of a weasel... I think.”
Wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? ➔ “Yup.”
Wanted to disappear? ➔ “...Yea...Don’t wanna talk about it though.”
FOUR PREFERENCES
Smile or eyes? ➔ “Jeez. Can’t pick. Preston has both in spades. If he smiled at me an looked at me with those eyes I’d jump off a cliff at his command.”
Shorter or taller? ➔ “Doesn’t matter. Although, I’m seven feet tall so everyone’s shorter than me.”
Intelligence or attraction? ➔ “What?”
Hook-up or relationship? ➔ “I’ve done both. Preston is my choice.”
FAMILY
Do you and your family get along? ➔ “The Minutemen are my family. I try to make sure anyone who signs up for our lifestyle is known and compensated. Only had a few men go AWOL in the first few months, but most came after watching our progress. My closest friends are even closer. I would do anything for them.”
Would you say you have a “messed up life”? ➔ “Oh, definitely. I’m considered pre-war. That in itself it a fucked up term. I watched my padre die, joined the Army at sixteen, agreed to horrible experiments out of desperation, got my leg blown off in Anchorage, watched my wife die and my baby-boy kidnapped, and now I have to live in a world two hundred years older than the world I left behind when a fucking greedy, sadistic corporation called ‘Vault-Tec’ froze me. I’m still trying to get used to everything and probably won’t be able to ever feel at home ever again. Preston had to teach me a lot. That’s not even the short of it.”
Have you ever ran away from home? ➔ “One time when my older sister was arguing with my parents I got mad that no one was paying attention to me so I packed up my toys and made it a block before I got lost and started crying. Mama found me and I never ran away again.”
Have you ever gotten kicked out? ➔ “Feel like I got kicked out of the Army. I was supposed to be there big ticket to Anchorage, and I did win it back, but when they saw their ‘Super Soldier’ got his leg blasted off, they dropped me like a hot sack of shit. Still stings.”
FRIENDS
Do you secretly hate one of your friends? ➔ “They just need more love.”
Do you consider all of your friends good friends? ➔ “I have somehow managed to turn the Brotherhood to the Minutemen’s side. Long story. I met an Institute Courser and helped him with his personal issues. He’s my buddy now. Met a raider in Nuka-World during the Nuka-Siege, he’s currently in the Castle giving us counter-intel on raider tactics. I consider even the most unlikely of people I’ve met to be important friends. Not because they help, but because I hope the path I’ve offered them all is a road to peace and recovery.”
Who is your best friend? ➔ “Uh...Preston, Dogmeat, Codsworth, Gracie, Mishka, Sophie, Duke, Deacon, Longfellow, Hancock, Joe, Piper, Curie, Ada, Strong, Cait, Danse and Bruce, I guess, oh I forgot about X-6 and my crack-head dog Screwball. I would probably tell all of these people my secrets. Maybe.”
Who knows everything about you? ➔ “Preston, and no Piper, he won’t tell you nothing about the secret stash either, either.”
I tag anyone who wants in on the fun.

Premier League Transfers: This Summer What Does Each Club Need?
Alternatively we concentrate on the environment saving trees and complain there isn't any service when walking right into box shop that acquire goods. It is possible to go to a behind-the-scenes excursion of the Padres home stadium, including a visit to the dugout along with a glimpse. I finally broke down and bought a box of webpages to put away my own 1948 Bowman into 1951 Topps set and save space. This week Vanessa was spotted using jet-black strands that matched her natural color and then cascaded down her spine. God Bless Alejandro Villanueva who would not ever turn his back on his country as an Army Combat Infantry Airborne Ranger graduate and officer of the institution on the planet. The Yankees beat the Giants for their 3rd consecutive World Series success following Bobby Thomson hit on that HR in a tie-breaker to get in the World Series from the Dodgers. This team has ever even hosted a game every Thanksgiving Day since 1934, because of World War II with the exclusion of 1939-1944. The team with no coach scrambles to protect the group. Speak with your guidance counselors and your coach, and go over your plans to compete for a basketball scholarship. Torres managed to flourish despite Valencia falling from a year back into ninth in 2019/20, at a year including rumours of a mutiny after Marcelino 's sacking in September and three managers. Thursday, Warren County Judge Timothy Tepe given them a temporary injunction, meaning the country may 't apply orders. Cleveland had success selecting an Ohio State cornerback when they drafted Denzel Ward from the 2018 NFL Draft. On Saturdaythe Mid-American Conference became the first selection of FBS colleges to postpone into the spring semester, and that decision will force the other seminars to reevaluate their own seasons. Pac-12: The Pac-12 declared its full schedule on July 31 using the season for the conference set to start on Saturday, Sept.. Whether this doesn't stop, quit watching games, cease listening to MLB around SiriusXM, and I will probably have to cancel my season tickets to my sports team. Who was the first quarterback? I put the card that is newer first, If they are cards of each participant. Do you want you could jump higher to score on basketball? However Athletes B and C work at appreciably different anxiety levels- where every situation might be beneficial for performance anxiety levels do you think about sport? "Our student-athletes desire as ordinary of a situation we can possibly give them because of the atmosphere our lovers supply," Costello said. I know MLB will stay wealthy, but I will say I don't donate to it. You might come across a veteran here and there which will agree that they fought for every single American 's right to disrespect the flag, however I could 't picture you can find one (non-traitorous), which could say they were actually okay with it. Others afterwards jumped telling Brkic because brain injuries are not an infectious disease which can be sent to family and friends which CTE dangers can not be compared to coronavirus risks. That's when I noticed the statistics in the backs didn't return further that about 2012. I didn't enjoy the incomplete figures on the back of 2017 Topps anyways. The running back faces 1 count of destruction of property, three counts of battery and assault and one count of strangulation, which can be a felony in Virginia. I would like 't think that this set was being acknowledged by cost guides during my initial collecting years. I set all of the team leaders and checklists using the group places, leaving only the 4 World Series cards to be placed in the back of my binder (however I'm presuming to put those with the team places, meaning I will have to go back a couple of years and do the same). For example, the league pioneer cards signify so I set them. Since the season isn't over however, I set the team sets in sequence due to their winning percentage, and that until the season is finished I 'll continue to upgrade. For over a year now, the card was Jackie Robinson. I got through adding roughly half my group into pages, and required that binder to look at for a while. Folks driving on a military base in their cars are expected to stop their vehicle and get out and face the flag and salute while in uniform during retreat or reveille. An insult to the American flag, is an insult the American army directly. There's not any excuse for disrespecting National Anthem or the American Flag for that reason unless you're not an American, rather than living within this nation. Active duty service members invest so much time demonstrating reverence into the flag and the National Anthem during their professions, that many frequently shout or get shivers down their spine after their service when they see the flag exhibited in ceremony throughout during the national anthem--I know that I really do. This includes if the flag goes up in the daytime (reveille), and as soon as the flag goes down at night (escape ). When a flag passes during a parade by a uniformed service member, they're expected to stay at attention and salute. Active duty service members are expected to demonstrate reverence it is displayed.

San Diego Padres to another Big Win With This Milwaukee Brewers Sweep
The San Diego Padres made a clean sweep winning against Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Buy the Cheap San Diego Padres Tickets from Bbtix right away. Because Padres has become hot stuff right now, so remember to watch them the next time they play. The Wednesday Game was a wonderful example of a perfect homestand. The San Diego Padres were lacking behind for quite some time now. But time changes and this time is Padre’s time to shine.
At first, it was just to break the losing streak for the San Diego Padres. And now they are winning four straight games including the one they won Wednesday over the Milwaukee Brewers.
What’s Up With San Diego Padres?
Ironically, there isn’t much difference in the way they play. In fact started on a late note this time as well, somewhere around the seventh inning to make that 8-7 win against Brewers. This was the three games series on their homeland that Padres won with this game. They are to start a 5-game road trip on Friday.
Tickets are on sale for their upcoming matches at Bbtix along with San Diego Padres Tickets Coupon. Don’t waste any more time idling about, they are selling fast. So it is either now or you can miss the chance.
Padres’ Heroes of the Game:
This time the heroes of the game were right fielder Franmil Reyes and first baseman, Eric Hosmer. Reyes went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and Hosmer was 3-for-5 with 2 RBI.
But to be honest, things were nasty up until the seventh inning. From Matt Strahm giving up 2 homers in the fifth to Brad Wieck providing another two runs to Milwaukee in just 0.1 of an inning and Gerardo Reyes blowing the chance of save. Everything was a mess.
To support Padres in the upcoming games, wouldn’t it be great to be physically there? You can cheer shouting your lungs out with the Discount San Diego Padres Tickets.
Strahm’s blunder got Brewers four runs over five hits. During his last three starts, Strahm has allowed 6 total homers and 17 runs. Also, Brad Wieck missing that save got another homer to former Padre Yasmani Grandal.
The bullpen continued to hit and miss until Reyes stepped in the seventh to credit the win.
Conclusion:
With this clean against Brewers, the San Diego Padres are finally back to the .500 mark. They’re tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West for third place now lagging with 12 games.
That’s only like this because the Los Angeles Dodgers leads the division with their 50 wins. Becoming the first MLB Game to make 50 wins on this Wednesday.
So even when Padres are winning the games recently, there are same dangers lurking around them that caused their struggles this early June. Let’s hope that they’ll be able to turn the tables while they fight over Pittsburgh Pirates for the next weekend. Gaining wins after wins are exactly they need to trail the Dodgers.

WEEK 10 - Wrap Up
These Eyes - Are Cryin’
youtube
So, usually every Sunday I spend my afternoons on my porch watching NFL Sunday Ticket and enjoying my fantasy match up. But, when the games are not going my way and I start to do so bad that I can’t watch anymore, like what happened this weekend...I start flipping the channels, in hopes that a distraction will pull me out of my deep depression. And this week as I saw my chances slip away I noticed that SuperBad was on some cable channel over and over again for hours and hours. There are so many great scenes but the one where Michael Cera is trapped in a room with a bunch of people doing drugs and they make him sing “These Eyes” by The Guess Who is so awesome. So, if you had a “Super Bad” fantasy weekend (see what I did there!) maybe watch this scene and forget about all of your worries.
ISUCK vs FUNK GUY
Oh how I want to be more like Larry David. Don’t you? I can’t really see Larry David playing Fantasy Football. He just doesn’t care enough about anything to really put the work into it to be successful. And that is where I have arrived mentally in my 2020 season. I have become “that” guy when you look on the schedule to see who you are playing you are like “oh, good Breen...that’s an easy win”. In the first part of the season this guy was Gabe (I won’t go into the fact that he was hospitalized and I have not been...). In past years this person was Mitch White - right? So, Dana - congratulations. Not that you wouldn’t have beat me anyway with Big Ben, Mike Evans, Malcolm Brown, Saints D and your Kicker all putting up great numbers. You did great but the reality is I am the loser of the league and you should always expect to win when you play me - hence my name. Nice win.
MOOSES ON THE LOOSES vs LONG LEFT BALLERS
I feel like Mitch is just showing off now. He has 4 wins in a row. He’s 8-2. And he is starting to look like he could actually pull this thing off. And winning the league is what I mean by “pulling this off”. This week he was up against Bebo Norman who has had a great run as well, but this week he threw up a few too many single digit performances from his line up and it cost him the win. The fear I have with Mitch winning it all this year is I think that will pretty much leave just Brett and I as the only “non - champions” in the league and I am not ready for that reality. So, it’s up to Scott, Howard and myself to take him down over the next 3 weeks and give the moose a dose of reality. Good luck Moose - from here on out! Sorry Bebo....tough week!
TRADE WITH ME vs TREE HUGGERS
I know Brett is going to think he’s awesome because he finally broke his 3 game losing streak and grabbed a win. But, surely he knows that when you win with 76 points it’s not really a win. I mean it shows up as a win but in your heart Brett, you know right? You survived the week but you didn’t really win. Scott, I am sorry to say that you will be joining me at the sad 3-7 record. It’s actually hard to do. To lose 7 out of 10 games in a league like this but we have done it. All Scott really needed was a good showing from Mike Davis or maybe a TD from Higbee and things would have be different. Nice win Brett...be careful though - cause next week you face Cliff Young!
HOWARD vs LANAKILA
Well, Howard is still in it and still holding on. There are three games left in the season and he is in the very challenging “Odd Division” with The Moose and Tu Padre holding on to first and second. Which means he will be in a points race to make the wild card - 3rd place slot. Currently he leads Gabe by 60 points and Brett and I by many many points. So, he either needs to continue to win and have The Moose and Gully lose the next few or keep his points up to skate into the playoffs. Oh, and Lanakila...he played Lanakila this weekend. Cliff is in the “Even Division” and they have 4 tied at 5-5 (Cliff, Stu, Bebo and Dana) so it’s anyone’s game going forward. You know what’s sad? If Cliff would have just played Ronald Jones instead of Zack Moss he would have been 1st in his division. Sorry Cliff!
TuPADRE vs BOOMER SOONER
Look at Stu! Doing the unexpected. Taking down a guy that is ranked #1 in the league! Crazy! Gully was on a 4 game winning streak and he still beat him. And he didn’t just barely beat him...he won by 28 points! Very impressive. Gully had is normal game from Kamara but Russel Wilson, Will Fuller and James Conner were busts. Meanwhile, Stu was firing on all cylinders with Lamar, Hunt, Beasley and that Hail Mary game winning catch from Hopkins. I’m sure that this was a one off fluke from Gully and he will be back to his old self next week against Allmendinger...but in the mean time it makes the top of the Odd Division belong to Mitch White and it also put Stu Jones in a four way tie for first - record wise in the Even Division. Nice win!
MR AWESOME vs BACKDOOR BANDITS
Well, another Monday Night...another Close Call ending. Going into Monday night Gabe had the lead 100.18 to Kyle with 91.40 points. Gabe was done for the week and Kyle only had Viking Justin Jefferson to play. Jefferson the past two weeks had put up just 2.6 and 6.40 and Kyle needed 8.79 to win. Kyle could have played Jakobi Meyers and already be a winner but he didn’t so we had to wait and see what would transpire on MNF. The Bears Defense kept the entire Minnesota offense quiet most of the game but Jefferson was getting some looks (had 60 yards in the 3rd) and then late in the 3rd quarter Jefferson broke through for over 50 yards and ended Gabe’s hopes. So, Kyle grabs the win and probably pushes me down to 12th place. Appreciate it Allmendinger. Hey, if you’re not first you’re last - am i right? Nice win Kyle. Gabe will live to fight another day as he continues to make a playoff run against Howard.
SURVIVOR
Yes Boring. Brett picked the Saints and Gabe picked the Packers and both won so we are into week 11 for Survivor.
HIGH POINT WINNER
The high point winner this week is Mitch White with 133.08 just edging out Dana Cappillino. This make his 3rd High Point win this season. Yep, that’s right - $60 in the bank. With all that money...he needs to be careful...after all he is a married man and girls obviously like the money. At least that is the case with this weeks picture prize. She isn’t technically an athlete but her dad was the greatest hockey player of all time and her fiance just pulled down $2 million at the Masters this weekend so she is eligible for the post. Paulina Gretsky. “masters edition”.

NL Division Series Preview, Picks and Predictions
NL Division Series Preview: The National League Wildcard Series has ended with the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins and the Atlanta Braves earning spots in the Division Series. The series kicks off on October 6 with the Padres and Dodgers meeting in a five-game NL West tussle while NL East rivals the Braves and the Marlins tangle for a right to earn an NL Championship Series ticket.
Let’s have a look at the two matchups and check out who will be the favorites to move on to the next round.
San Diego Padres vs Los Angeles Dodgers
The NL West matchup has the makings of a classic with present and future stars meeting each other for an NLCS slot. The Dodgers posted the best record in the NL while the Padres secured the No4 spot by finishing second behind LA in the NL West race. Despite having some of the best batters in the business, the series might boil down on which team is pitching better.
In their series-clinching win against the St. Louis, San Diego needed nine relievers to shut down the Cardinals, who could muster only four hits in this crucial encounter. For this game, they were not saved by the long balls from superstars Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado, only timely hits from other Padres batters that led to four runs.
San Diego, however, might be forced to do everything to beat the Dodgers, who have been firing at all cylinders from pitching to batting. Rotation wise, the Padres parade ace Dinelson Lamet, Mike Clevinger and Zach Davies. The team also hoped that their reliever corps would hold the deadly Dodgers batting crew.
On the other side, the Dodgers were awesome in the shortened regular season, winning almost 72% of their matches. From pitching to batting, everything was in sync and clicking at all cylinders. Batting wise, Mookie Betts, A.J. Pollock, Corey Seager combined for 47 home runs and 114 runs batted in. Aside from the three, Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy have also played well in terms of batting. Pitching wise, Clayton Kershaw, Dustin May and Julio Urias have pitched brilliantly. The trio combined for 12 wins in 30 starts. In the wildcard clincher against the Brewers, Kershaw proved why he is the Dodgers’ ace. He allowed three hits in eight innings and struck out 13 batters.
Pick: In a series that has the makings of an NL Championship Series, the Dodgers have the slight advantage personnel wise. However, the Padres are capable of surprising everyone. The Dodgers will emerge victorious in the series, three games to one.
NL Division Series Preview: Atlanta Braves vs Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins attempt to resume their stunning run to the playoffs as they take on NL East leaders Atlanta Braves. Both teams came off wildcard sweeps with the Braves keeping their foe, the Cincinnati Reds, scoreless in the series. The Braves bring in an awesome offensive corps composed of Ronald Acuña, Ozzie Albies and NL MVP candidate Freddie Freeman. Pitching ain’t too shabby either with Max Fried leading the charge. Fried went 7-0 in his starts during the 2020 season. This is a followup from his 17-6 mark in the 2019 season. Other than him, Ian Anderson is an intriguing starter for the Braves as he can provide shutdown pitching. In six starts during the regular season, Anderson provided three wins and had an earned run average of 1.95. Big bats are aplenty for the Braves with Marcell Ozuna leading the team in home runs with 18. Adam Duvall, Acuña, Freeman and Dansby Swanson were the other Atlanta players recording double digit homers in the regular season. The team is deadly from the top of the batting order to the bottom so the Marlins will be in for trouble if their pitching does not hold up.
Meanwhile, the Marlins are looking to continue their miraculous run to the MLB playoffs. They earned a playoff spot by placing second behind the Braves in the NL East standings. In the NL wildcard series, the Marlins used their defense to hold off the higher-ranked Cubs. They allowed just one run in two games while scoring seven. Sixto Sanchez, Pablo Lopez and Sandy Alcantara are proving their worth in Miami’s rotation by combining for 12 wins in the season.
Batting wise, Jesus Aguilar is the team’s most dependable hitter with a .277 batting average. In terms of long balls, Brian Anderson is their most consistent producer with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs under his belt. Aguilar is also a deep threat with eight homers and 34 RBIs recorded during the season. The Marlins hope to pick up another victory in the postseason but they will be hard-pressed as they will meet the more experienced Braves.
Pick: The Atlanta Braves are considered favorites by online MLB betting sites. However, people must not sleep on the Marlins considering their strong defensive stance against the Cubs. But at the end of the day, the Braves will take home the NL Championship Series berth with a 3-1 series win over the Marlins.

Our Top Six Resort Season Activities In South Padre
South Padre Island is, in our brain, the crown gem of Texas sea shores, and our beachfront resort stays an extraordinary goal long after summer is finished. The climate chills off, the groups subside, yet the dawns stay wonderful and the sound of the waves lapping the sea shore is excellent. While there's nothing superior to strolling along the Gulf of Mexico, it's in no way, shape or form the main enjoyable to be had on the island. Actually, there is such a great amount to do on South Padre, that it's no big surprise that individuals from around the express, the nation, and the world run to the island all year.
Obviously, on the ends of the week you can visit our indoor water park in our retreat (that is the place we prop that mid year vibe up), yet it would be a disgrace to pass up different sorts of experience occurring here and there the island. Along these lines, with our sacks stuffed, tanks full, and our locales set for the Rio Grande Valley, we paused for a moment to hit up our Texas group for their rundown of South Padre must-dos:
We love to get in some turtle time. In 1977 Ila Loetscher (known as "the Turtle Lady) began Sea Turtle Inc., concentrating on bringing back Kemp Ridley ocean turtles over from the edge of termination. While settling season is April through November, that doesn't mean you can't score some genuine turtle viewing in South Padre all year. Head over to Sea Turtle Inc. – we prescribe showing up so as to see a taking care of, either at 10:15 or 3 pm – and get familiar with everything you can about these astonishing animals. You'll even get an opportunity to see a portion of the occupant turtles and patients saved by volunteers. Remember whether it's cooler than 55 degrees out, the open air pools will be secured to keep the turtles warm.
Subtleties: Open Year Round, despite the fact that they do close a few ends of the week. Make certain to check the site. Not exactly a five-minute drive from our Resort.
Riding in the surf isn't simply in the motion pictures. The Stables on SPI (how local people allude to South Padre Island) offers horseback rides on the sea shore from dawn to nightfall consistently. Since SPI has perspectives on both the Gulf and the Bay, the destinations from horseback are lovely. What's more, on the off chance that you are staying for a spell, get some information about the polo matches. They offer exercises to the individuals who are keen on getting familiar with the game of rulers.
Subtleties: You'll need reservations so as to saddle up and we emphatically prescribe the dawn ride. Try not to stress, you won't need to find a workable pace, the Stables are just a five-minute drive from our Resort.
Lighting the path on Port Isabel. There were 16 beacons initially built along the Texas coast; just the Port Isabel Lighthouse is available to general society. With 75 winding stairs and three stepping stools prompting a view that is 50 feet off the ground, the Port Isabel Lighthouse is perhaps the best view on the island (beside our preferred view from our own one of a kind Sea 4 Ever). Which is the reason you'll need to bring a completely energized telephone or camera so you can exploit this present picture taker's mecca. There are additionally two exhibition halls on location; our suggestion is purchase the combo ticket and visit every one of the three.
Subtleties: The Lighthouse is a state recorded site, worked by the City of Port Isabel. Open all year (assuming the rainclouds hold back); directly over the extension from our Resort.
Winged animals of a plume really rush together. Get your binoculars, your camera, and your feeling of winged marvel, since directly outside of South Padre vacation rentals is the World Birding Center. Be that as it may, it's a whole lot more than a "middle" – it's really a system of nine distinctive birding destinations along 150 miles of notable waterway street, finishing with the South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center. In excess of 500 flying creature species make this area their home. Truth be told, this area is critical to the point that the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Rio Grande Valley Communities and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service all cooperated and devoted $20 million dollars to make the World Birding Center conceivable.
The South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center is on 50 sections of land of rich territory. What's more, it's an essential one too in light of the fact that, as the Center notes "South Padre Island is a urgent first landfall – a lifeline – for winged creatures making a strenuous cross-Gulf relocation from Southern Mexico and northern Central America. Particularly after a spring storm, lush bunches of the island abound with an eye-popping rainbow of larks, tanagers, orioles and thrushes. Wetlands harbor a scope of shorebirds and waterfowl, while jeopardized species, for example, the Brown Pelican, Piping Plover and Peregrine Falcon might be found here also." The Center has 3,300 feet of board walk and five feathered creature blinds – ideal for seeing these winged voyagers and local people the same.
Subtleties: Open all year, yet hours are regular. We prescribe getting before you head out. Just a ten-minute drive from our Resort
Try not to let the huge one escape. In the event that there is one side interest that is a most loved of our group, it's angling, and there is some entirely dynamite angling in the Gulf. Regardless of whether you are new to the entire snare and line thing or a devoted remote ocean angling lover, South Padre has a wide scope of angling aides and sanctions prepared to take you and your group out to their preferred spots. We prescribe looking at the posting on the South Padre CVB angling site to discover the perfect fit for you.
Subtleties: Charters run generally, and are (clearly) climate subordinate. A few aides are directly over the road from our Resort privateer transport Ye Black Dragon seen in the waters of the Gulf
Privateers of Padre. It is anything but a genuine visit to a tropical island in the event that you don't experience a privateer en route. Also, luckily, the privateer transport Black Dragon is secured directly on the island! Commander Black Hearted Andy and his diverse team will take you and yours on a privateer themed sail on a cutting edge copy of a seventeenth century vessel. Your journey will be loaded up with experience and diversion (yet no strolling of the board, me hearties!). You may even become familiar with a little sword battling, which, let's be honest, is an expertise that could be helpful further down the road.
Subtleties: The Black Dragon heads out at various occasions consistently, make certain to check the site. Directly over the scaffold from our Resort.
So there you have it – a genuine island of experience is anticipating you. Fortunately our Schlitterbahn Beachfront Resort on South Padre Island is the perfect venturing off point for all your island undertakings – and these are only a couple! Furthermore our property has full suites and a wide range of arrangements that are family well disposed (cots!) and steps from the sea shore. What's more, we have capable front work area staff to assist you with recognizing and book the encounters that are flawless memory creators for you and your family or companions.
Rates during our "resort season" signifies you get an astonishing arrangement and still find a good pace best the island brings to the table without the late spring swarms.

News Power outages look for millions of Calif. residents as PG&E faces scrutiny for degrading infrastructure - Washington Post
News
Culley misplaced his home to the 2017 Tubbs Fire, certainly one of the basic pronounce’s deadliest wildfires on file. Now one more blaze became once bearing down on the position, and Culley feared he would lose every little thing. Yet again.
Parts of Northern California faced the risk of most modern infernos and energy outages affecting bigger than 2 million of us as a doubtlessly historical wind match became once forecast to sweep into the pronounce on Saturday, nearly a year after the most destructive fire in California historical previous left 85 of us stupid. Culley’s apprehension is a part of a grim new actuality for a pronounce hit by increasingly unhealthy fire seasons and turning to drastic new prevention measures.
The Kincade Fire, sparked Wednesday night in Sonoma County and light finest 10 p.c contained, is anticipated to aggravate as sturdy winds with low humidity produce what the National Weather Service known as “vulgar fire climate.” Practically 3,000 responders are battling a blaze that has consumed about 26,000 acres and destroyed 77 structures, including 31 homes, officials mentioned Saturday evening.
“I’ve viewed what a firestorm is, it’s catastrophic,” mentioned Culley, the owner of KC’s American Kitchen, his voice shaking. “To know that a monster will most certainly be coming this fashion is de facto, in actual fact traumatic.”
By Saturday evening, basic evacuations stretched from the scheme of the fire to the Pacific hover and affected 83,000 of us, including about 39,000 in areas where orders had been precise issued, officials divulge. Energy outages also can complicate the most modern efforts to secure of us out of effort’s manner, they cautioned.
One day of the day, authorities entreated residents to ticket the evacuations. Sonoma County Sheriff Sign Essick shared his apprehension over experiences of of us desiring to preserve home and wait the fire out — a unhealthy and “selfish act,” he mentioned, because it puts emergency responders in jeopardy, too.

On legend of terrain admire this makes it exhausting for firefighters, and [makes it] immense unhealthy as the winds consume up.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) mentioned proactive measures secure helped prevent a blaze as gallop as in old years, at the same time as six critical wildfires rage around the pronounce. This year’s pronounce budget entails an additional $1 billion against emergency preparation, and authorities are increasingly deploying property to excessive-menace areas before a fireplace breaks out, he mentioned.
But the climate has officials alarmed of one more catastrophe.
“The following 72 hours are going to be traumatic,” Newsom mentioned Saturday afternoon. “I also can sugarcoat it, but I’m no longer.”
The wildfires arrive on the heels of the 2017 and 2018 California fire seasons, which featured the largest, most destructive and deadliest blazes in pronounce historical previous. It’s part of a sure sample against fires which also can very effectively be increased, more frequent and that stretch across a longer season. And, primarily based on CalFire, “climate trade is assumed to be a key driver of this vogue.” Inhabitants boost and the rise in homes and corporations located shut to lands that typically burn are also escalating the menace of and wound from wildfires within the Golden Impart.

Online lender Social Finance, known as SoFi, will pay more than $30 million annually for the next 20 years to entitle the new NFL stadium under construction in Los Angeles, making it the largest deal in U.S. naming rights history. According to multiple sources, the partnership eclipses the previous NFL high-water mark of $20 million annually at MetLife Stadium, and Chase’s $30 million annual deal with MSG for extensive promotional rights that stop short of entitlement. It may also eclipse Scotiabank’s $40 million deal to rename Air Canada Centre in Toronto in 2017. SoFi’s CEO is Anthony Noto, the NFL’s former CFO. Along with stadium rights, SoFi becomes a sponsor of both tenants, the Chargers and Rams, and will sponsor the adjacent performance venue. SoFi becomes one of Silicon Valley’s biggest sports spenders; it has spent more than $200 million annually on marketing in recent years. It currently claims 800,000 members, with products including student loans, mortgages, personal loans, and wealth management. The company believes the venue will help it become a household financial brand.
Endeavor IPO is back on, aims to raise about $600 million. After a postponement in early August, entertainment giant Endeavor Group filed revised paperwork with the SEC as they move forward with an IPO. The company plans to offer approximately 19.35 million shares of stock for sale, at an estimated price of $30 to $32 per share. (As usual, the underwriters have an option for additional shares.) The company estimates they will received net proceeds of $547-$632 million after expenses. Public investors will own a piece of a money-losing company that carries $4.57 billion in long-term debt. And it will be firmly controlled by the top two executives (Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell) and the controlling investor, Silver Lake Partners; together they will control about 88.5% of the voting power. Endeavor has expanded far beyond its traditional talent agency roots. In the past few years it has acquired the UFC mixed-martial arts circuit, fashion, and sports management group IMG, the Professional Bull Riders tour and streaming provider NeuLion. The transactions are key reasons why the company reported $4.5 billion in debt as of June 30
Digital media rights will be the key driver for the growth of the sports industry over the next five years, with the fourth edition of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Sports Survey predicting growth in that sector of up to 9.7%. While the PwC paper is enthusiastic on the unrealized potential of digital, it does cast doubts as to whether sports organizations can benefit from online growth, with concerns that the major technology firms will instead be the ones to reap the benefits as both gatekeepers and producers of content. Also a factor, according to the study, will be “much lower growth rates” seen across traditional media streams, which are estimated to be at no more than 4.1% during the same period. Overall, the PwC paper does paint a positive picture of the overall sports market, predicting the industry to grow at a healthy annual rate of 6.4% over the next three to five years. That is below the 7.4% growth of the past three to five years, however, the study insists growth remains "robust."
The Trump administration has announced a national youth sports strategy that will reach beyond in-school physical education and into community-based programs. It will be funded by a legacy endowment with a goal of raising $100 million to provide grants intended to drive increased participation. Developed by the Department of Health & Human Services and the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition, the strategy largely will mirror a draft report issued in June. That report echoed many of the recommendations of those who previously studied participation declines, including the Aspen Institute’s Project Play. Among the focus areas: Recruiting and training of coaches and volunteers, creation of safe places to play, provision of quality equipment and strategies to increase participation among girls. Among the first to sign on in support of the endowment is NBC Sports Group’s Sports Engine -- a leading software provider for youth sports organizations -- which will offer a Premier League Fan Fest trip and other prizes in a sweepstakes to raise funds for the NEYS. Other founding supporters include the NHL, MiLB, UFC, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the AAU, the Sports & Fitness Industry Association and Boston Scientific.

The ballpark in recent years has hosted several concerts and Comic-Con with "no visible damage to the field.” KAABOO, an "upscale music, comedy, art and culinary festival" set to be held September 18-20, 2020, is heading to Petco "after being held for its first five years at the Del Mar Racetrack and adjacent fairgrounds." There is a multiyear contract to hold the event at the ballpark, and Padres season ticket holders will have "access to a special 'loyalty discount'" for the festival. Greupner said landing KAABOO is a "fulfillment of our promise to the people of San Diego that this publicly funded ballpark will (have) more than just baseball."
