BUT AT WHAT COST 😭😭😭

Okay so I'm playing Pirate Warriors 4 and I'm having a great time being all the characters and playing through the plot and beating everyone up

But I desperately want Ace because I wanna make my sister play with me as Ace and Sabo in free play, but I'm pretttyyyyy sureeeeee that to get Ace I have to play through marineford and idk if I'm strong enough 😭😭😭

one piece is gross in many ways but it also has Okiku, a 9 ft tall swordswoman and she's cool and nice and giant and super strong so what i'm saying is that she set the standard for girlfriend material and that's so unfair because i will never meet a 9 ft tall swordswoman irl like her !!!!!

also i have a lot of Thoughts about how shockingly respectful/understated Okiku's identity as a trans woman is written in canon but i'm always paranoid about attracting weirdo shounen fans who want to start internet arguments over everything so that's why i never talk about one piece.

I look at your post related to pirate Warriors 3 and it reminds me to get s ranks on everything

Tip for doing that: use luffy, he may be kinda basic but he can get s rank easy and pray for good allies for their assists

Examples: whitebeard, Franky, enel, hell even mr vice warden (to lazy to spell his name)

(I know this ask is old but I still want to reply because I keep forgetting to SORRY( Thanks sm for the pointers! I never got around to finishing it and just played Magellan until I got to lvl100 with him LOLL I really should consider doing that..

So I never planned on getting Pirate Warriors 4 cause Garp isn't playable. Had complained that PW 1~3 had a playable Garp and 4 doesn't!? How unfair! This game series (PW2) got me my OTP!

Aaand a few days ago, guess who announced the new set of playable characters on the 28th?

And I bought PW4 right away in Steam (with 19 hours remaining on sale!) so I can be ready to greet him on release day!🥲💜

One more funny PW4 moment but during story modes, you CAN do a local coop, so I played w my sister and we did Marineford together. anywya she kept stealing the character I wanted every single subsection so I accidentally became a Crocodile main 😭😭😭 he + Luffy were the ones most consistently around as options and I didn’t wanna play Luffy so. HRHFHD

man she rlly said suffer the full brunt of ace dying huh 😭.

Anyways I played through part of marineford as Ace and it was some sort of wild time travel au to have Ace helping Luffy fight his way up to the execution platform and I loved it tbh

Next plan is to rope my sister in and have Ace AND Sabo helping out lmao

I am simply rotating Koby and Sabo in my mind

So I've put a fair few dozen hours into PW4, but mostly just wanted to play the free-choice challenge mode. Story mode's a boring formality to unlock things and all. It's just like Dynasty Warriors games after your first; I' already as familiar with Romance of the Three Kingdoms as y'all will get into. If I never mentioned it I've been a longtime fan of the Musou genre. Dynasty Warriors 4 on the PS2 was a really fun sleepover game growing up.

So like Dressrosa for PW3, Wano is the last chapter in story mode but they make their own version. Thing is...we've talked alternate versions of Wano before. This game came out about halfway through the arc, walk it back a year for development time they should still easily have had Act 1 as a guide. The story mode makes reference to a lot of things from even into Act 2. But it's all on Kin with a little oomph from Momo. I'm not saying this time its deliberate or anything like the Art Nue...but it's interesting seeing Wano without Kiku and the Akazaya as a group and it's not like say, Yamato where they couldn't have used you.

Luffy gets thrown in jail along with more of the crew, Big Mom has more of a split in her ranks, with the extra time Barto/Cavendish/Sabo hear Luffy was captured and join in. Along with a Marine element that feels a lot like SWORD and Blackbeard seeps in too. It works, you could have fleshed that arc out into a streamlined version of Wano that accomplishes much of the same goal. But it feels so empty without the heart of the locals. Because it is Luffy without his motivation.

Hybrid Kaido - I was thinking either King or Queen but I don’t think they’d add one without the other

I think the next wave is going to be with movie characters such as Uta

Zephyr - I really like him and I think he would fit right in

Gild Tesoro - pretty good character, I can’t really think of a better choice, maybe Douglas Bullet?

The final one is probably the old generation

Garp - with the current events in the manga it seems likely. Maybe he can come with a skin of him younger.

Rayleigh - with Roger being there now we need Rayleigh

Bonus: they could include a prime Whitebeard skin
