What are PTFE-Coated O-rings?
PTFE-coated O-rings are O-rings that are coated with a layer of PTFE material. Everything I learn as about chemistry just makes me more uncomfortable, especially now that I can easily read SDS/MDSS and parse it for the information I want.
Usually this is the toxicity section, almost everything that is used in the oilfield/industrial/military is "suspected of damaging fertility/the unborn child" or cancerous and then the worst part is the translation to general consumer use. Such as goretex/PTFE on outdoor gear, non stick pans, and rubberized PTFE in O-rings and other items.
