#PP: Chester Gieke

“Oh, hey. You’re that Gieke guy from round the corner, right? I don’t think we’ve met.”

“I, uh, don’t get out all that much. But Bee said I should make an effort to say hi to the new neighbours, so... hi!”

“Hey, Bee. Come check out what I’ve built in the workshop.”

“Oh, lord.”

“Don’t give me that look! I swear this time it’s something cool.”

Right, that’s it from the Gieke household! You’ll have to forgive my teasing - I plan to do more with the Monty/Capp drama when I get to the Veronaville round (who knows - maybe that’ll be this year?) I had fun playing them - they’re always such a chill household.

“Listen, honey. I’m going out tonight to meet up with, um, a friend?”

“A friend?” Chester raised an eyebrow. 

“It’s uh, Albany Capp. He invited me out for dinner, says he wants to talk.”

“Capp?” Chester frowned. “Which one is he again? One of Kent’s brothers?”

“His brother-in-law. We bumped into each other a few weeks ago and got talking, and he was saying how he and Goneril really want the feud to be over.”

“Right... but can you trust him?” Chester didn’t like the sound of this one bit. Bianca liked to see the good in everyone, sure. But she’d always said she didn’t want to get involved in any feud stuff!

“I’m not sure, honestly. But I think I want to hear him out.”

“Does Kent know?”

“No, and please don’t tell him, yet. Albany said to come alone.”

“This is sounding really suspicious, Bee.”

“I know, I know. But it’s in a public place. If anything seems weird, I’ll come straight home.”

“Okay. And if you’re not home by ten, I’m telling Kent everything and we’re calling the police.”

Kent working in the lab does get them access to Smart Milk, though! Giorgia’s already a creative force to be reckoned with.

“Oh, wow! What, um, what is it?”

“It’s a chocolate machine! Since you said you wanted to get into making sweets.”

“Aw, honey. This is really, well, sweet!”

“Kent helped, too. Version 1.0 was a bit of a disaster.”

“Lear!” Kent beamed down the phone. “Hi, kiddo. How’s summer camp?”

Bianca smiled. Kent might say he hated his family, but it was cute how he still had a soft spot for all the kids. She turned to Chester.

“How’s the new book coming along? It looked like you got a lot done today! Got a new chapter for me to read, yet?”

“It’s uh-”

“You write books, Chester?” Lola asked, from the piano. “That’s so impressive! What kind of thing do you write?”

“Um... science... fiction?”

Giorgia grows up cute, naturally! She’s got some strong features (her dad’s nose, I think? which is a huge win!) but I’m sure she’ll grow into them. I love her little overalls <3

“...So we’re thinking of having live music at the restaurant! It’ll be nice, I think, but Antonio’s still trying to source a good act...”

“Smells great- what is that?”

“Salmon suprise.”

“Sounds good. What part is the ‘suprise’?”

“I like experimenting with different sauces each time. Tonight’s is Shang-Simla style.”

“Okay, cool. I thought for a second you were going to say it was stuff you’d brought back form the lab.”

“Sometimes it is!”

“Isn’t she precious?” Bianca cooed. “How was she today?”

“Good as gold. I think I’m starting to get the knack of this fatherhood thing.”

“Oh, I’m glad! How would you feel about us having another?”

“A-already?”

“No pressure. I’ve always dreamed of having a big family, though, and it’d be nice if the kids were close in age...”

“Well... making them is pretty fun...”

“You need any help there?”

“It’s cool, I got her.”

Finally getting back to Pleasantview Plus! We’re joining the “Gieke” household today, which has the MontyCapp tag for uh, legacy reasons?

The household consists of:

Bianca Gieke (née Monty), who works at the family restaurant over in Veronaville. She loves her family, but her relationship with them is strained at times, so she keeps them at arm’s lengh. Last round she had a near-death experience which has the household a little shaken up. 

Kent Capp, who works in the science career. His relationship with family is also pretty bad, since he’s gay and living with a Monty. He prefers the single life, but considers the rest of the house as family.

Chester Gieke, Bianca’s husband. He’s a shy nerd who writes weird semi-erotic sci-fi novels for a living. Used to be a bit insecure about how close Bianca and Kent were, but he’s used to the dynamic these days.

Giorgia Gieke, Bianca & Chester’s daughter. Still a baby, so not much to say about her, besides the fact that she’s adorable. Her main carer is Chester, since he’s home the most, but everyone pitches in where they can.

Zoe, the dog! I genuinely can’t remember when they got the dog, it seems like I never actually documented it, lmao... There is a dog, let’s leave it at that xD
