Very, VERY late on this one, but I knew I couldn't let my Indie Creator Celebration pass without giving some love to one of the indie creators I've been following the longest here on Tumblr, @yamino, with some "Phantom of the Black Rose Revue" fan art! The game's stark use of manga-style Black and White really inspired me, so I decided to build the image around it!

I'm going insane over the whole concept of The Phantom of the Black Rose Revue (by yamino, they're on tumblr!). It's everything I love in one vn?? 70s shoujo aesthetic, old school yuri, inspired by the phantom of the opera and my number 1 obsession Takarazuka. So I did what I generally do: make a playlist out of it (that will probably change as the plot and characters unravel)

Quick chibi of Chihiro from Phantom of the Black Rose Review being DETERMINED about something. Bit of a style homage to Megan Simko, whose fanart, especially her KiSS dolls, were a big influence on my adolescent art growth.

I feel like Chihiro is close to what the answer would be to “what if Minako had Michiru’s circumstances growing up?”
