You want to laugh, as you watch his naked back. Another curse leaves his mouth and you definitely want to laugh. Not in a bad way, definitely not mocking him. This things happen sometimes, you want to reassure him. Sometimes the desire is so strong the human body just... shuts down. It's okay...

But you know if you say something, or even breathe in a way he considers different or petty, it's over. This whole situation, all the steps you have finally climbed together, everything would be over.

He tenido la fortuna de conocer a Hali, y fue una experiencia realmente bonita. Sus historias me han conmovido he inspirado, ella llegó en un momento en el que mis días eran aburridos y tediosos, no tenía mucha expectativas o emoción en cuanto a qué esperar al día siguiente, no importaba lo que fuese. Tanto desde la perspectiva de Hali o como de su persona en la vida real, el ver que también ha tenido que lidiar con sus propias dudas, y aún así tener la pasión, el valor y la fortaleza de continuar haciendo lo que le gusta... me ayudó a querer avanzar también, y aunque hay períodos de tiempo en las que siento que fallo considerablemente, esa inspiración que me ha dado sigue ahí.

Start of something new

We finally posted our very first Pilot episode for our podcast! I was terribly excited for this moment to come, both Irene and I have dreamed of this project for more than two years and I am thrilled to finally see a glimpse of what the future awaits.

Although we have had to push through several issues to get on the right path we have finally taken our first step! I have found the wait very worthwhile, for direction matters more than speed.

I am proud to be a part of this exhilarating journey that will not only help us learn and try something brand new but hopefully guide others through the IB. Speaking of, last Friday I had a splendid encounter with a friend from 4th ESO who asked me about the podcast and thanked me for giving them a gateway into the IB world since they are interested in coursing it. When I offered them a first-hand insight into the diploma program they smiled, relieved, which filled my heart with the determination to reach out and guide as many troubled students as possible; so watch out IB world, a new challenger has appeared!

"¿Qué vas a hacer el próximo fin de semana? Las Fallas se celebran en el paseo marítimo local. Deberías venir, ya sabes, salir de casa por una vez.," What are you doing next weekend? The Fallas Festival is taking place in the local walkway. You should come, y'know, get out of the house for once.

She looked at me expectantly. She was right, I hadn't really been leaving the house because it was around the time I left Christian, but it was time to discard him in the past.

I opened my mouth before reluctantly closing it, "Está bien, de acuerdo. El próximo fin de semana será," Okay, fine. Next weekend it is.

She squealed, giving me an excited nudge, and suddenly I got the feeling that I would regret this.

It had been a year since y/n had left, and I was feeling less motivated by the second, but—of course—I was a fucking billionaire, so I couldn't show it while I was on a Zoom meeting with the goddamn president of Spain.

"Ah, I am telling you, you must come to the Fallas Festival. Take a break from this lavishness, and come to Spain. I can arrange a small, normal, walkway, eh?" His accent rolled over his words swiftly.

Well, I kinda have to if I want to expand my business further. But I couldn't say that, "Of course."

Please kill me; I finished the glass of whiskey in one, desperate sip.

The Fallas Festival came rather unceremoniously. I was so caught up with work (as an office receptionist), especially with the new interns and helping them that I only realized the festival was today this morning. Thankfully, Stella had already made reservations at an outdoor restaurant and confirmed my doubt that I couldn't come in any clothes that weren't traditional by responding to all of my ten anxious texts.

When afternoon came, Stella and I met up right outside where the fireworks were supposed to go off and managed to get a bench in the bustling walkway after a couple that seemed to be very into each other moved to somewhere more private (the bushes).

"Ooh, mira ese grupo de chicos lindos," Ooh, look at that group of cute guys. She pointed to a batch of guys, "Vamos, vamos a buscar algo esta noche," come on, let's go get some tonight. The amount of mirth leaking from her eyes was so abundant I thought I might drown in it.

She dragged me to my feet, but I couldn't help to think about Christian as we approached the men.

Hola, mi nombre es y/n," hello, my name is y/n. In the corner of my eye, Stella was already being swayed by a charming dude.

"Un placer conocerte. Mi nombre es Marcos," Nice to meet you. My name is Marcos.

"Y/n." A familiar voice rang out from behind me. No, it couldn't be.

"Disculpe," excuse me, I told the man I was formerly talking to as I turned around, not knowing what I wanted to see behind me.

It was him. He had changed, I could see it in his eye bags and outgrown beard, but it was still him, and he still looked at me the same as he did a year ago.

"Christian," I couldn't stop the tears flowing from my eyes.

He walked up to me, disbelieving at first, as though he thought he'd never see me again before breaking into a desperate print. Everything else faded into the background until it was just us, bound by every possibility, finding each other despite everything. We kissed, and it felt like everything I'd been missing for a year was compensated. I finally had him back.

Somewhere in the distance, a firework went off.

Impresiones RPWP

He estado viendo mucho en twt acerca de las funciones de RPWP y me llama la atención que muchxs dicen que sus salas estaban vacías y otras que estuvieron llenas. En mi caso siento que la función fue perfecta a excepción de que no nos tocó postal. Pero estuvo llena, tranquila y todxs disfrutamos mucho el documental (nos quedamos a los créditos y aplaudimos al final) 🤭

Respecto a que algunxs ARMYs les tocaron vacías sus salas, lo vi más entre semana que este fin. Siento que en general ha pasado en varias proyecciones porque la gente usualmente no va al cine entre semana porque trabaja, estudia, etc.

Otro argumento que he visto es que el apoyo es más que con otros miembros, pero de hecho, la sala a la que fui a ver I AM STILL tuvo más asientos vacíos que a la función de esta semana. Pero siento que es complicado comparar cuando ahora la proyección fue con otra cadena (al menos en México).

Me gustaría investigar un poco más acerca de la distribución y si esto afectó a que se proyectara en menos cines (por ejemplo, las salas que vi en mi zona, solo una era tradicional). Y no olvidemos que la premiere del documental fue en el Busan International Film Festival, algo que no había ocurrido con los demás proyectos que hemos visto en el cine.

Quiero creer que realmente el apoyo hacia todos los miembros ha sido igual. También entiendo que el cine no es de primera necesidad y tal vez se prefiere ahorrar para conciertos que se rumoran para 2025 y 2026. Especialmente cuando las funciones han sido tan seguido y con precios caros.

Eventualmente tenemos la oportunidad de ver estos contenidos en streaming o en digital code. Ahora estoy esperando a las noticias de dónde saldrá porque quiero pausar y regresarle al documental para disfrutarlo aún más.

En mi caso, en cuanto salió Right Place, Wrong Person ANHELABA que saliera un documental del proceso porque me encantó el álbum. Y al fin poder verlo en cines me entusiasmó mucho. Fui a un cine que me quedó lejos, en un horario que no me encantó pero valió completamente la pena. Espero que todxs lxs que amamos el trabajo de Nam y lo apoyamos, hayamos tenido una excelente experiencia 💜

Actualización de estado / Status update

Ha pasado una larga temporada desde la última vez que informé por aquí de lo que estoy haciendo, así que... vamos a actualizar un poco.

Sigo trabajando en tres historias. Sin embargo, una de ellas no es PEPSUH (la historia para la cuál había escrito pequeñas escenas basadas en la frase "El alivio cómico desaparece, pero solo el villano va a buscarlo" o una similar), sino que empecé otra que sigue la historia de los otros dos libros.

El primero ha sido terminado y editado ya, pero tras una temporada se me ocurrieron algunas otras cosas y me harté de la repetición de algunos escenarios, por lo cual lo estoy volviendo a editar. Poco a poco, pero vuelvo a ello. Y sí, ya le lleva bastantes más palabras que el original y a la primera edición para decir las mismas cosas. No para de crecer.

Después tenemos su secuela, la cual tiene lugar unos 12 años después. Esta ya estaba de antes, pero por fin la empecé y continué un poco, aunque me está costando mucho arrancarla y cada vez que intento escribir en esa se me va el alma. Es una escena algo incómoda socialmente.

Finalmente, la tercera historia es una continuación de estas mismas, aunque no del todo. No va a tener mucha relación con el espacio común (no lo he planeado por ahora), pero sí que hay una conexión. Su formato también va a ser distinto, ya que me gustaría que en vez de ser otro libro este fuese un Webtoon. Le pega más.

Y me parece que eso es todo lo que tengo para contar respecto a mis historias.

It's been a long while since I last informed you over here about the things I'm doing, so... let's give you an update.

I'm still working on three stories. However, the one I wanted to do for NaNoWriMo ain't one of them. Instead, I started another one that continues the story from the other two books (now that's a trilogy).

The first book has already been finished and edited, but after a while I got some other ideas for some things and I got tired of the repetition of some scenarios, so I am back to editing it. Little by little, but I'm on it. And, fyi, yes, compared to the original and edited versions, it is using way more words to say the exact same stuff. It won't stop growing.

Then we have its sequel, which takes place about 12 years later. This one was already there in the past, but I finally started and continued it a bit, though it's a hassle to start it and every time I try to write on this one my soul leaves my body. It's a bit of a socially awkward scene.

Finally, the third story is a continuation of the above... sort of. I haven't planned for them to interact with the common space (yet...?), but there is a connection. Its format is going to be different as well since I'd like it to be a Webtoon instead of a book. It feels right.

And I think that's pretty much everything I had to tell you about my stories.

What is it with urgency creeping in when we least expect? Urgency to answer, urgency to talk, urgency in being seen, urgency to see a result, urgency to find a solution, urgency to receive (accompanied by doubt if it doesn't happen as soon as we would love it to). It feels like we correlate positive outcomes/situations to urgency/short time and negative ones to having to wait (like a friend not answering immediately to our text and us making it mean they hate us or something happend). But is it really so? Isn't it just that we're trying to meet a need of us? A need to be in control and solve an uncomfortable situation (caused by it being under construction and therefore undefined, "at risk of failing/turning out negatively") asap? I guess we should thank social medias and online commerce for making us believe we need to be reachable 24/7 and deserve to receive everything we want in the shortest amount of time. Great job in playing on these needs of us to sell better your products. In Italy we have a saying (one of the many, lol) that roughly translates as "Urgency is a bad/evil advisor". Finding a middle ground between urgency and taking too much time is what I am aiming to do as much as I can. And with this I try to remind myself that others' anxiety about me and my position (despite I tend to communicate my needs clearly to everyone) do not depend on me. Other than that, I can only be patient with myself and everyone else. And breath/count to 10 at least before doing something when I am stressed out LOL All in all, I think I just need to trust again myself and life, for the best is yet to come and it will come at the right time<3
