I’m thoroughly enjoying divergent but probably my favorite part is that tris is supposed to be like really smart because she could be erudite and in insurgent they make such a big deal out of her logical reasoning skills except that she’s dumb as fucking shit and in order to make her look smart everyone else has to be so unrealistically stupid BUT IT DOESNT WORK because tris still sounds like a 7 year old half the time anyway I love this series

I had just finished the last song of the set, Colby saying his goodbyes, as Jack and Victoria, play bass and guitar softly in the background. As I walk off stage, I notice a face in the crowd, "kellin?" I ask as he gets closer.

"Hey y/n, I was wondering if I could come hang with you guys back stage"

"Yeah, everybody else is going to some bar down town, if you wanna go with them" I say, not realizing that he meant just hang out with me.

"Oh, I don't drink anymore" he says, "mind if I hang out with you" he asks, I smile at his comment.

"Yeah of course" I say as we walk back stage.

We sit on the couches that the venue had provided, and I sit awkwardly not knowing how to start the conversation.

"Uh, your show was amazing" kellin speaks out breaking the silence.

"Thank you! It's all Colby,Jack, and Victoria, everybody in the fandom seems to forget about me" I say and shrug my shoulders.

"How could they forget the world's best drummer?" He asks with a small laugh.

"I mean, I'm the most introverted out of the group, so maybe that's it. I honestly don't know. Everybody else gets edits, nice dms, I get pretty much nothing, but hey atleast it's not hate" I say as I grab a water from the mini fridge. "You want one?" I ask, he nods so I toss him a water.

"Hey, y/n I've gotta ask you something important" he seemed nervous about whatever he was going to ask.

"Go ahead. Is something wrong?" I ask, getting worried myself.

"Nothings wrong, I heard you talking to Victoria, before the show. I know how you feel about me,and I'm not mad, or upset, I feel the same way and I have for a very long time. I've just been too scared to ask you out" he says quickly, bit I still understand every word.

My jaw drops slightly, stunned by his words. "Holy shit" is all I mange to say, still processing everything he had said.

"I'm serious, so, y/n would you like to grab dinner tomorrow night?" He asks, getting up and coming over to me.

I stand to face him. "Yeah, I'd love to"

"I was hoping you day that"

"I know this sounds..weird and possible rushed, but can I kiss you?" I ask, not waning to do anything to quickly.

"You don't have to ask" he gently places a hand on the side of my face. Our lips meet and it feels like a hole in my heart has been filled, I was happy. Happy the man I've loved for so long, loved me too.
