having studied history and being a fan of ofmd is so weird bc every time they make an overt reference/nod/have an accuracy, i become excited leo pointing meme; but also i love that it's not historically accurate, especially when it allows for more fun over less gritty accuracy; but also it's like juuuust historically accurate enough to have fun especially as a north carolinian who heard shit about the real history my whole life; but also sometimes the inaccuracies make my eye twitch (la vie en rose was the 1940s, yall...); but also knowing the real history gives me a lot of Thoughts about where the show is ultimately going...

and great question! okay so i considered as time went on having her think in terms of “daddy” like as i was writing from her perspective but realized it probably would get too clunky writing wise. i just wanted it to sort of be a way to show how far gone she was for him? but i think most of the time she would think of him as “daddy” in her head? after a certain point it might end up feeling wrong to call him joel in her head even since i think she’s a little afraid he might be able to read her mind sometimes and would know 😂 thanks for asking such a fun question!

Im pretty sure the name was “honeymoon” and it was an Armin ff, basically Armin and yn were royalty and they grew up together as childhood best friends , armins mother is dead in the story and Armin is the next king in line but yn isn’t because she has a bunch of older brothers and then when they’re older after some discussions Armin and yn agree to get married to one another and the next day yn finds out that Armin had ambushed and killed yns entire family because of a bunch of reasons (her family was like really messed up idk I can’t remember that well)
