FINAL POLL OF ROUND 1

Propaganda
Hedy Lamarr (Samson and Delilah, Ziegfeld Girl)—Look. I'm sure someone has already submitted Hedy Lamarr because she was spectacularly beautiful, and a very strong lady too: she fled both an abusive marriage AND nazi persecution at a very young age and rebuilt a life for herself pursuing her love for acting all on her own!! Her career as an actress was stellar; while she began acting outside of Hollywood (her very first movie, Ecstasy, won a prize at the Venice Film Festival), she conquered American hearts very quickly with her first movie in the US, Algiers, and then just kept getting better and better. If all this isn't enough, she was also an inventor: her invention of the frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio transmission technique forms the base of bluetooth and has a lot of applications in all kinds of communication technologies. I think that deserves a prize, don't you?
Sonja Henie (Thin Ice, Happy Landing)—no idea if she counts, she's a famous skater more than anything else, but count her for the lols and i'll send you some thin mints
This is round 1 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut]
Hedy Lamarr:

The only person you can find both on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in the Inventor's Hall of Fame--her radio-frequency-hopping technology forms the basis for cordless phones, wi-fi, and a dozen other aspects of modern life. She was also passionate in her efforts to aid the Allies in WWII (unsurprising for a Jewish-Austrian Emigree to America), and her name served as the backbone for one of the best running jokes in what is possibly Mel Brooks' best movie. Look, Louis B. Mayer apparently believed he could plausibly promote her as "The world's most beautiful woman". Is an entire website full of people going to be less audacious than one Louis B. Mayer? I didn't think so!

Described as "Hedy has the most incredible personal sophistication. She knows the peculiarly European art of being womanly; she knows what men want in a beautiful woman, what attracts them, and she forces herself to be these things. She has magnetism with warmth, something that neither Dietrich nor Garbo has managed to achieve" by Howard Sharpe, she managed to escape her controlling husband (and Nazi Germany) by a) Disguising as her maid and fleeing to Paris or b) Convincing the husband to let her wear all of her jewelry to a dinner, only to disappear afterwards. Also she was particularly clever and helped develop Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (I can't really explain it but anyway...)

One of the most beautiful women ever in film, spoken by many critics and fans. Beautiful shapely figure, deeper seductive voice, and often played femme fatale roles. She was also brilliant and an inventor. Mainly self-taught, she invested her spare time, including on set between takes, in designing and drafting inventions, which included an improved traffic stoplight and a tablet that would dissolve in water to create a flavored carbonated drink, and much more.
Her depiction of Delilah and Samson and Delilah just lives rent free in my head. The woman was gorgeous.
Gorgeous and brilliant pioneer of modern technology and the middle part.

If you are struggling with manifestation and how it truly works, go watch this video. This is a GAME CHANGER!
She puts emphasis on this, what ever you truly believe to be true is completely true no matter what (that is with every single thoughts ever).
Here are many commus example:
Subliminals truly works if you believe that it works and vice versa
Tarot card reading truly work and can even take power over you if you believe it can take power over. But if you believe that it doesn’t do shit then it doesn’t do shit.
If you don’t have it youll have better! Babe please. This is not fucking true if you want this SP then believe that no matter fucking what, you have him. Please acknowledge that whenever you say things like that it becomes true.
She is also saying that your emotion (energy in motion) is a manifestation, NOT THE CAUSE OF A MANIFESTATION. This one really opened my eyes so when you feel a certain type of way, I say to myself this feeling/ emotion is a manifestation from a thought that I was thinking in the past, so you can dismiss because I chose to believe something that I want to believe. And POUFFF that negative feeling gets the fuck away.
Your inner dialogue same things as your thoughts are the ONE AND ONLY REASON WHY YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE.
LET ME REPEAT YOUR THOUGHTS, YOU INNER DIALOGUES ARE THE ONE AND ONLY REASON WHY YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE!!!!!
Stop listening to others that are not telling you this main belief please.
Anyways love each one of you take care beautiful princesses🎀

Hi Sonja! I've been drawing my favorite StP voice designs made by other people, and while your Cold is my personal favorite (he's so beautifully evil, I'm very weak to those kinds of designs), I knew I had to draw your Smitten <3 He is just so perfect, and he has been a huge inspiration when I was stuck figuring out the design for my own Smitten. So, please accept these as my thank you! I love your work, I love your voice designs, and I get very excited whenever I see your WIPs in Discord <3

Extra kudos for the folds in Smitten's clothes and his warm smile. Oh, I swoon for bird husband.... And Cold continues to corrupt and distract with his beauty and smug smile. Just as planned, muahahahah

At the Ballet
Joel Miller x female reader A PedroStories Secret Santa Gift!
Rating: General audience, but please remember that this blog is always 18+ Word Count: 1.4k Warnings: Cursing, one that got away, slight angst from yearning. Summary: When Tommy's girlfriend gets tickets to the ballet, Sarah is excited to attend. But Joel never could have expected who he would find there, or that he would find himself grateful for a night at at the ballet. Notes: Happy PedroStories Secret Santa 2024 to @pascalispretty! I hope your holiday season is lovely and bright, and that you enjoy your story! Swan Lake was one of the first ballets I ever saw, so that really stuck in my mind, and I loved the idea of Joel finding his way to the arts because Sarah loves them.
“I don’t understand why the hell we’re doing this.” Joel grumbled, inspecting himself in the mirror as Tommy tossed his well-loved plaid flannel back onto the bed and put a sports jacket into his hands instead.
“Because she’s my girlfriend.” Tommy reminded him for the fourteen time.
“Okay, fine.” Joel huffed. He rolled his eyes at the jacket and hung it on the nearest piece of furniture, wondering if he even had a clean button-down shirt in his closet. “I don’t understand why I’m doing this.”
“Because you’re my fucking brother.” Tommy shot back. He’s actually got a real tie on, not a clip on or a bolo, and he’s trying so damn hard for this girl. “And because Sarah is excited to go. So finish getting dressed, you grumpy ass, and I’ll buy you a drink at the theater.”
“You should have led with that.” He’s busting his brother’s chops, but it’s worth doing. Tommy’s girlfriend has been around long enough that she’s been introduced to Sarah and started coming over for dinner semi-regularly, and she had somehow gotten ahold of four tickets to the ballet. Sarah had been thrilled at the news and immediately started planning what she was going to wear and begging her Dad and uncle to take them all out to dinner as well.
And, well, Joel Miller has never been able to deny his daughter anything in the world.
It’s with that in mind that Joel is begrudgingly cleaning himself up tonight. Because his little girl is down the hall putting on a dressed and doing her hair, and she looked so damn much like her mother when he had passed her room earlier that it had made his heart ache. Anything for Sarah. Anything at all.
Ballet Austin is a little bit of a drive away since they live on the edge of the city, but he doesn’t mind. Of anything, Joel actually does like driving. It gives him a sense of peace. Or at least it usually does – right now Sarah, Tommy, and Tommy’s girlfriend Sonja are chatting animatedly about the show that they are all going to see. Swan Lake apparently has a hard plot to follow, if he’s overhearing this right. Or maybe it’s just that ballets have no dialogue. Either way, he doesn’t really care. He’s going for all of them to enjoy themselves, not to understand what the hell is going on onstage.
At least, that was what he thought.
He had never expected to open the program in his seat and see you there. Clear as day, though, your photograph and name with the character name Odile were listed right there on the page listing principal dancers.
Suddenly, Joel is the biggest ballet convert in the world.
There is plenty of good reason for it, though. More than just being you, the dancing is gorgeous. Not that he doesn’t remember what a good dancer you were when you were younger. Teaching him how not to embarrass himself at the homecoming dance. Doing the choreography from Footloose and goofing off instead of playing whatever sport was supposed to be the assignment in gym class.
He knew you had taken dance classes, but he had never really bothered to find out more. To ask what kind. To pay some damn attention and get to know you better. He should have been so much better. He knew it even then, which is why he could do nothing but kick himself in the pants when Alex Draper asked you out at the beginning of junior year of high school before he could summon up the courage.
That was the year Sarah’s mother had moved to town, and he had started dating the new girl instead. The whole thing stank of what might have been.
******
Sarah begs Joel to take her to the stage door after the show, hoping to meet some of the dancers and tell them how amazing their performance was. She’s always liked theater and this wouldn’t be the first time that he took her to a stage door, but the chance that he might run into you has him smoothing his shirt and straightening his tie and practically thanking Tommy for forcing him to dress nicely.
“What’s got Joel so self-conscious?” Sonja whispered from the top of the alley where she and Tommy waited and cuddled in the dim streetlight.
“You accidentally managed to lead him right to the first girl he ever loved.” Tommy whispers back, chuckling quietly into her shoulder as he leaves a kiss on her neck. “One of the dancers that Sarah wants to meet so desperately.”
“And we’re back here?” Sonja huffs. She smirks and nudges Tommy, obviously trying to point him down the alley. “Joel Miller as a boy in love? I gotta see this.”
Sarah is, in point of fact, the only fan at this stage door tonight. And while Joel hates that on principle because it means that she doesn’t really have anyone to share her unbridled enthusiasm with, he’s also glad. Her presence there is delighting the dancers and every single one of them is stopping to sign her program and take a photo with her, all of them giving her a big hug in the process.
The young woman who danced Odette is lingering, seemingly waiting for something or someone, or maybe just enjoying the attention, when the stage door opens again, and you walk through.
“Sweetie, come over here!” Odette calls, waving you over. This is what she was waiting for, apparently, and her smile beams as she introduces young Sarah Miller to the dancer she became so enamored with during the show.
It really isn’t too often that you’re asked to sign programs, and you are beyond flattered to have Sarah ask for an autograph and a photo. You stand and chat with the young teen for a few minutes before even registering that she is young enough that she should have chaperones nearby, and that is when you look up to find him staring at you.
“Joel?” It has been almost fifteen years since you saw him last. Since your high school graduation day. But you would still recognize him anywhere.
“Hey.” His hands are in his pockets, but he still has that lopsided grin and perfect single dimple that made all the girls swoon. He still aims it like a weapon, always able to make the whoever he was talking to feel like the only person in the room.
“Hey yourself.” The warmth in your cheeks is unmistakable, and for good reason. Joel Miller didn’t just grow up good, he grew up damn sexy.
“Dad, you know her?” Sarah wheels around with a bright, excited look on her face.
“Dad?” Your eyebrow is raised, but you do remember hearing about Joel getting married shortly after high school, and something vague about him having a kid. Your mother had given you the news she heard while out grocery shopping one day. Just the same way that she had given you the news a year or two later when that same habit of grocery store eavesdropping yielded the news that Joel was now single again after a nasty divorce.
“This is my daughter, Sarah.” He introduces her proudly, both hands on her shoulders and a puffed up chest saying more than simple words ever could about how much he adores his little girl. He introduces you to Sarah next, explaining you used to be friends in school. “She—we— really loved the show tonight.”
“Well, thank you. Everyone in the cast is just incredible.”
“Yeah, you are!” Sarah chirps, her eyes wide as she looks between you and her father. “Dad! You should invite your friend to come have ice cream with us!”
Joel’s smile grows, tucking into the corner of his mouth like a secret, but he lobs that fastball of an offer back to you politely. “I’m sure she has other things to do tonight, honey. Maybe another time, sweetie.” He doesn’t want to say no. He can feel his heart hammering out of his chest and he wonders how you managed to get even more beautiful when you were already the prettiest girl he had ever seen in his whole life.
Looking back to your friends, you lend them a quick smile before facing Joel again and shaking your head. “Not at all,” you tell him – both of them, technically. “Free as a bird.”
Your smile grows, and Sarah matches it. “Free as a swan,” she insists.
“Right.” Joel joins in that laugh, air rushing out of his chest as he gets nervous all over again. “Free as a swan.”
He’s not going to fuck it up this time. He’s not. He’s not going to let you slip through his fingers a second time…

I'd like more music recs, please. I'm checking out the few you listed and 👌🏾
Mandatory mention of the classic "Daughterson" by Joe Stevens
"Am I Here" by Jay Page was one of the core songs of a really weird summer experience (ironically in which I dissociated a lot lol) I had so I remember it fondly. He also made Invincible which is written in honor of his younger self.
"Aventura" by Mavi Phoenix FUCKS. His music videos are also really well made. I also like "World's End" from his most recent album.
saint hills has made quite a bit of rap! "Home", "Lavender", "Michelangelo," and "Quit My Job" are some hits for me
"Chartreuse" by Boy Jr. is funky as hell, and you may have seen some of their joke songs on TikTok or Instagram
John-Allison Weiss!! he made I Was an Island which I was obsessed with when I was younger & then I found out he's a trans guy!! His song "Different Now" is fucking amazing. Strong transgender energy without any lyrics explicitly referencing it.
TOBRE is really good for anyone interested sexually explicit trannyfag hyperpop.
"Hindsight Cinema" by Zann Foth is very chill & he has a unique voice that makes it just very nice to listen to. Kind of elevator music energy? Also "I Hate Reaching Out" and "Surprise"
"Sweet Cis Teen" by Dazey and the Scouts. Just a banger. To be trans is to be your own pallbearer!
"Brothers" by Skylar Kergil always makes me feel warm, its very "tboys supporting tboys" <3
"Good Man" and "Brother" by Grayson are two I found very recently! His music is very crisp.
Artists I mentioned in that other post but I'm gonna mention here too:
Anjimile is just such a wonderful artist!!! The King is a beautiful album with great visuals & "Animal" is an extremely powerful song. "Sonja Smokes Me Out" & "Baby No More" are also great. I need everyone to give this man his flowers yesterday
"Shook (Transformed)" by Cuee is a really catchy & really sweet love song, and "Proud Boi" is an explicit trans(masc) pride song!
Everything Beverly Glenn-Copeland makes is wonderful. Its great seeing an older trans man, one who transitioned after building a name for himself, and also hearing his voice in his newest album in comparison to his earlier ones. His songs just make you feel like your soul is being wrapped in a blanket. "The Colour of Anyhow", "La Vita", "People of the Loon"
Dreamer Isioma has their fucking aesthetic (dreamy afrofuturism) DOWN. His music videos (esp. for the Princess Forever album) are all super well done and feel very unique to them.
Malaika Mfalme's album "Yasmin" is dedicated to their late partner and you can feel that love and grief throughout the songs. I recommend checking out this article where they go through the meanings behind each song. "Good Man" is specifically about learning to love masculinity as a positive force.

Heya can I please request jojo's part 7 guys meeting and later on having a partner who is Sonja nevermind from danganronpa.
A princess that swears and loves the Occult like it taking them of guard how proper she sounds swearing.
Her also being extra sweet to Jonny because he struggles with his self esteem and just because she is a princess doesn't mean he is not worth
They all deserve a supportive partner and imagine the king and Queen letting them be with their partner even though they are not from a royal family.
hi, sure! i hope you enjoy and thank you for requesting <333
When they first meet you, they expect someone graceful, elegant, and refined- which you are... until you open your mouth.
You speak so properly, with a delicate tone and precise pronunciation, only for the words that come out to be:
"Oh, for fuck’s sake, this is a goddamn disaster." :)
They are STUNNED. A princess talking like that?
And then they find out you have a fascination with the occult. You casually mention spirits, curses, and tarot like it’s just another royal duty.
"Oh, my great-grandfather’s tomb? It’s absolutely haunted. You can hear whispers past midnight. Isn’t that lovely?"
Reactions:
Johnny: Looks at you, then at Gyro. "...?"
Gyro: BUSTS out laughing. He’s in love with this already.
Diego: Squints, not sure if you’re messing with him or just insane.
With Johnny Joestar
You adore Johnny. You see right through his self-doubt and make it your personal mission to remind him how incredible he is.
Whenever he doubts himself, you take his face in your hands and gently scold him like a princess should.
"Johnny Joestar, if you so much as dare say you’re unworthy, I will personally haunt you from beyond the grave. Understood?"
You spoil him rotten. Fancy gifts? Done. Endless affection? Of course. Telling off anyone who dares insult him? Absolutely.
He melts whenever you call him "my dear knight."
He’s so confused as to why you love him, but damn if he isn’t grateful for it.
With Gyro Zeppeli
LOVES how unhinged you are. He was already interested in you being a princess, but the swearing and occult obsession? Now that’s something.
"Oh my GOD, say that again." He finds your swearing hilarious, especially when you sound so formal yet vulgar.
Tries to match your energy. He’ll say the most absurd things to hear your proper-yet-terrible reactions.
Gyro: "If I die, I’m haunting Johnny."
You: "Only if I don’t get to him first, darling."
Actually interested in your occult knowledge. Tarot? Ghost stories? Fortune-telling? He’s down.
With Diego Brando
At first, he assumes you’re just another stuck-up noble, but you break that expectation within five minutes.
Diego.exe has stopped working. He doesn’t know whether to be impressed, horrified, or in love.
He’s especially taken aback by how you don’t act superior despite your status. Instead, you treat him like an equal.
When he catches you talking to your reflection, asking for omens, he’s just like:
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Communing with the spirits, love. Do you wish to hear their wisdom?"
"…I think you’re insane." (But he stays to listen anyway.)
The Royal Family’s Approval
Everyone is shocked when the King and Queen allow you to be with them.
"...I’m not royalty,"
"Neither was our ancestor before they took the throne," your father replies with a smile.
Your parents approve because they see that you’re truly happy. That’s all they care about.

Rating Rune Factory Children
(Because I play favorites)
Rune Factory (1)
1/10
Cute but not much else to say. You have to wait a ridiculous amount of in-game time to get one short cutscene meeting your genderless nameless child (Game doesn't even bother to give them pronouns) and then never get to interact with them again. Disappointing.

Rune Factory 2
8/10
A unique idea that the series has yet to implement again, this game let you play through the second half of the game AS your child from the first half, and honestly It was a cool concept even if the gameplay got a little wonky and unbalanced near the end. The game also introduced the first female protagonist to the series, Aria (left). She and her twin Aaron (right) actually had some personality of their own and even had unique interactions with the other villagers and children of the town. Cool concept and solid designs. I just wish you could interact with them a little more as a parent before the timeskip.

Rune Factory Frontier
7/10
I may be a little biased here, as this was my intro to Rune Factory, but I love these kids. Default names; Leif and Leona, are the first, and so far only, RF children you can interact with at multiple stages, these kids have several cutscenes documenting different milestones and are quite cute to watch. Once they reach the final stage, they don't do much besides toddle around the farm and look cute. You can gift them certain items but that's about it. Still, It's refreshing to watch your kid grow over time as apposed to the usual montage you get with RF kids.

Rune Factory 3/ Rune Factory 3 Special
3/10
They get bonus points for being the first in the series to let you have multiple kids (up to three) problem is, there's not much difference between em. The birth of each one plays about the same and while there's technically some different "personalities" it's more like each kid get a random lot of four or so unique lines of dialogue and that's it. There are also just the two sprites so if you have two or more of either gender they'll be identical, no matter the age difference. You can't gift them and they don't sleep, leave the house or even show up on the map. Honestly they're little more than cute house accessories.

Rune Factory Tides of Destiny/ Rune Factory Oceans
4/10
First off, please pardon the crappy quality. This game doesn't have traditional character portraits so it's hard to find decent quality pics. Tides of Destiny kiddos were the first in the series to inherit physical features from the player's spouse. (Pictured are Electra's daughter and Sonja's son) They appear to use the same child models as Frontier with some minor cosmetic changes but I liked Frontier's kids so no complaints there. I do wish they had real portraits and more dialogue but they're okay. At least they'll accept gifts and the events leading up to their births are quite wholesome.

Rune Factory 4/Rune Factory 4 Special
9/10
RF4's kids are darn near perfect. Luna and Noel have identical dialogue but they have more to say than any RF kids before or possibly since. There are TONS of unique exchanges and events with them, they participate in festivals, and most interesting of all, you can equip them with gear and take them adventuring! These babies are really something special. If I had to pick one complaint, I'd say I wish they looked liiiittle more like their concept art. They look like they both got aged up a little, which isn't bad but they do look barely younger than some of their possible parents...

Rune Factory 5
9.5/10
Rune Factory 5's children are right up there with Noel and Luna, but they get a slight advantage when it comes to customization. Like RF3 this game lets you have up to three kids, but unlike that game, these kiddos are treated like actual characters. Depending on your choice of spouse and your answers in a particular conversation, your kids can have a variety of looks and personalities, including the fan favorite feature of inheriting hair and eye colors from the spouse, and continuing along that customization train, these babies can once again go adventuring! My one, one small gripe...It'd be nice if your eldest could grow a little by the time their siblings are born. Heck, it'd be cool if the villagers kids could grow too. I'd love to see teenaged Julian and Hina~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So there's my thoughts on the Rune Factory children. I hope future installments continue the trend of more giving their kids more personality and better customization, maybe someday we'll even see kiddos inherit traits from non-human parents? How cool would that be if your kid could actually look half elf or mermaid or furry wereanimal? XD
If you agree with me (or strongly disagree) feel free to comment. Always up for discussing my favorite franchise~
I just finished watching Skam (Norway) today and let’s just say I’m not kidding when I say this is one of the BEST shows I’ve ever watched. I did take a lot of time to watch all the seasons (spanning over one year) but I enjoyed each and every moment of it. Well, some a little less than others. Hence, I have some thoughts and please forgive my yapping.
Okay so Season 1. I actually liked it quite a lot. The acting was good, and it gave a nice start to the whole story.
The getting together of the girls was the highlight obviously, but I really liked the portrayal of Eva in this, as a kind of lost teenager who doesn’t have a lot of direction in her life and is mostly dependent on her boyfriend.
I did think the Isak plot line in this was a little badly done, but I guess it was necessary for the big reveal in the end.
I think the fact that Eva was able to resolve things with Ingrid was very unrealistic, considering they had literally been besties and she basically stole her man. But really idk.
Talking about Jonas, he was majorly gaslighting Eva during the season so I think their relationship was a little immature. Classic right person wrong time.
Penetrator Chris is SO HOT. Especially in that mf smoky eye makeup istg. But he’s a giant asshole and we do not support him.
Season 2. Okay. First let’s start with the showstealer. Eskild my man. I don’t think Eskild is appreciated enough in the whole series but I absolutely love him!! He is so mature, and is such a good friend. I love the dynamic between him and Noora and even him and Linn.
Now let’s address the elephant in the room because why not? I did not like Noorhelm all that much. William never had much of a character development and we never get to see him expressing a lot of emotions. I forever stand by the opinion that Noora was too good for him. Many people talk about William’s support of Noora’s decision to not have sex, but really, that’s like settling for the bare minimum that can be expected from a decent person.
I think the dickhead of a brother had more personality than William. So in conclusion, season 2 did not really impress me but I’d watch it again for Eskild.
Eva hooking up with Chris?? The guy she cheated on her ex with? Can’t say I like this.
Season 3 is SO well done. There’s no question about it. I love Isak’s slow acceptance of his sexuality. From being a closeted gay guy who made homophobic comments to fit in, to a happy and out gay guy in a relationship.
Absolutely adore the boys. Jonas, Mahdi, Magnus. I especially loved Magnus and his take on the whole situation.
Eskild coming in and stealing the show yet again?!!
Emma and Sonja are VICTIMS. As much as I love Evak, they fucked their girlfriends over pretty bad and I hate them for it. Also, Emma is soooooooooo pretty.
The story of Even. His whole character portrayal. The picturisation of his mental issues. Chef’s kiss.
Minute by minute??? Are you trying to kill me here??? It is SO wholesome and they both have matured so much, especially Isak, dealing with his sexuality plus his boyfriend’s mental issues so delicately.
Their chemistry. Their chemistry. Their chemistry.
Sonja should NOT have apologised.
Overall, this season is tied with the fourth as my favourite.
Season 4. Sana is my favourite character hands down. She is portrayed so well, we see all her insecurities, beliefs so beautifully.
Yousana is my favourite couple. Evak is a close second.
The understanding between them, the intellectual conversations, the level of maturity. Just wondrous.
I did think the whole situation with the russ bus was overdone. I never really understood why Sana was so involved with it in the first place. This could easily have been summed up in one episode leaving time for more Yousana development.
Yousef is such a green flag omg. He’s literally the cutest out of all skam boys( my opinion). I just wish he had more screen time.
Elias and Sana??? Whatever bits and pieces we got to see of their relationship were GOLD.
I. Love. My. Girls. So. Much. I just wish Sana was shown interacting more with all of them, not just Noora. Also Yousef and Noora working together to thaw Sana??
I canNOT stress this enough. Yousef and Sana are the best couple ( besides Evak obviously). The chemistry, the flirting, everything was done so right that it got me blushing furiously through the screen. And they managed to do all this without showing any kind of physical contact. Just lovely. The way they counter each other’s opinions with such delicacy and respect makes me believe that they are definitely going to last.
The situation with Even and Mikael and all the balloon squad boys should have been given more screen time.
The way Sana’s faith and her relationship with her family were handled are commendable. We see the dilemma, the cogs of her brain working, and how she accepts her fate and doesn’t sway from her beliefs. I strongly believe that her and Yousef will handle their differences maturely and still come out to be a strong couple.
I SWEAR SHE AND I ARE SOULMATES?????? Cutest shit I’ve ever seen.
Sana and Isak’s friendship means so much to me. In Season 3, we see her rising above her opinions and respecting homosexuality. Here we see Isak figuring Sana out and helping her see beyond her strong opinions. And wdym Sana??? You are best buds.
Okay. The last episode. I absolutely loved it. It’s one of the best season finales I’ve ever watched. We go into the lives of all the girls and some of the guys too. I literally teared up at the Eskild and Linn part!!( idk why they still address Chris as penetrator Chris when his face is literally on the screen like people we know it’s not our girl?? Idk I find it extremely funny). I wish they had shown more of Vilde and Chris’ friendship in the past and not just the final episode. The Even part was absolutely incredible. His insecurities, his fears, and we see him pacifying Isak and not the other way around. Yousef texting Sana from Turkey?? And saying he’ll take her there?? My heart melted.
I literally don’t think Noorhelm is going to last long even though they have reconciled. Something just seems off. Joneva is back??? Didn’t really like the buildup but I guess they could be a good couple as they are more mature than the last time.
Okay. So that sums it up more or less. My favourite was season 4, closely followed by season 3. My favourite characters were Sana and Eskild, they were just so amazing. I related to Sana fiercely all through the show.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Feel free to give your own opinions please!!!!
[ENG translation] Joker Out singer opens up about kissing on set and other details of the new film
Interview with Bojan Cvjetićanin and Katja Predan. Original article was written by Sonja Javornik for Novice Svet24, published on 6.1.2024. English translation by @varianestoroff, proof read by TWT klámstrákur.
The new Slovenian film 'Kaj pa Ester?' is targeted primarily at teenage audiences, but Tosja Flaker Bercet's fun, relaxed film will also appeal to older audiences. And it looks like the film will be a hit not only in Slovenia, but also abroad, as fans of Joker Out from all over Europe are waiting for the film to come to their cinemas - the male protagonist is played by the much-loved Bojan Cvjetićanin.
In 2021, after a long search for the main character, the director invited Bojan Cvjetićanin, the lead singer of a band that was on the verge of success at the time, to audition. Today, Bojan would not have had time to record due to concerts in Europe and other projects (their new album and concert film 'Live From Arena Stožice' is available on www.jokeroutband.com), but back then, it was not a problem for him, so we can admire him in the film alongside the excellent Katja Predan and other young co-stars.
The film is about Ester, who is not pleased when she discovers that her ex-boyfriend, who wants to rebuild their romance, has enrolled at the same high school. Kaj (played by Bojan) tries to show his love for her with romantic gestures, but his moves impress his classmates more than Ester. Ester finds herself in a difficult situation, as her classmates are mean to her because they think she should give Kaj a second chance, but instead she agrees with a friend to act like a lesbian couple... The Ljubljana premiere of the film took place at Cinemaplexx and the whole crew came to see it. Before that, we had the exclusive opportunity to talk to the two main actors. Bojan was five minutes late, but given his frenetic schedule and mild cold, we didn't blame him. Over tea, he and Katja were happy to look back on the filming and joked around, jumping into each other and generally getting on well.
Katja, you are 24 years old and finishing your third year of film directing studies at AGRFT¹.
I'm still one exam away...
So you prefer to be behind the camera than in front of it?
Actually, it was good in front of the camera too. (smiles)
How did you get this role?
That's a good story! I was waiting for a friend who was half an hour late for a drink. But I was sitting at another table, with a friend from high school, when Tosja joined us. He introduced himself, and I told him I knew him. He told me they needed another actress because they were filming something and offered me to come and try it out. I wasn't interested at first, but then I thought that it must be a short film and it wasn't that big of a commitment. When I arrived, I found out that I was auditioning for the main role!
Do you have previous acting experience?
I was in a theatre group, I acted in a play, and then I started directing. That was in the first year of high school. In college I acted in our rehearsals when we were filming, but now I hope to get another chance.
In the interview, Bojan and Katja also revealed - he had his first crush in kindergarten, she had her first boyfriend in high school. (Photo by Šimen Zupančič)
What kind of projects do you want to do as a director?
The ones where people talk a lot (laughs). I'm interested in love themes and situations where nothing special happens and the relationship gets boring.
What was it like working with Bojan?
We've worked together very little because we split up in the film, so we're not a couple anymore. We had two rehearsals together and they were very nice. But we did hang out a little bit.
Can we even project ourselves into the film? The plot itself is absurd, because you want to break up with Bojan - the Bojan who is currently the idol of young girls in this country and in Europe!
Tosja, please write what happened before that! (laughs) Surely Ester had a good reason to leave him.
Have you been dumped by a girlfriend in real life?
Bojan: Absolutely! I wouldn't say I was dumped because I didn't have many girlfriends. But I have been rejected...
So could this happen to you?
Yes, especially when I was as old as Kaj.
How did you land in the film as an actor?
I've always been interested in playing, but due to time constraints, I can't commit to it much, even if I wanted to. When I was invited to audition, I had a free summer. I'm a fan of the series 'V dvoje', one of the writers of is our director Tosja, and the creator was Luka Marčetič, who then also worked on the film, and there are a few other crew members as well. It was an honour to be able to work with them because they created my favourite series.
They don't hide that it was a lot of fun on the set: "We had as much fun as we could. It was relaxing." Photo by Šimon Zupančič
In the film, you are exactly as you were in real life - they haven't even changed your hairstyle. How so?
I have a lot of contracts that say I can't change it. (laughs) No, it's a joke! Tosja was pleased with my appearance. The film is interesting because the 15-year-olds are played by 20-year-olds and older.
How much time do you have now that you are a European music star?
To be honest, very little. Three days ago I returned from the last tour of the year. I have a cold, of course, so it would be very convenient if I had a couple of days to lie down, but I have the whole premiere day today and tomorrow, a concert on Saturday, and on Sunday we go back to the studio for a week. Then we've got a few more gigs, then we're moving to London for two months, and then we've got a one-month tour. Then we'll probably go to Germany for a month to record the album, and then we'll have another tour soon...
We won't see you much.
Exactly, because there's too much of me everywhere now. (smiles)
How was it on set?
Bojan: It was great for me because I knew the whole team from before.
How did you and Ester* meet? (*T/N: They probably meant Katja)
Bojan: Through mutual friends, maybe even through Mila...
Katja: Haven't we known each other since primary school? Or from the audition for Vičstock?
Bojan: Yes, indeed! Katja was one of the organisers of Vičstock at Vič high school, and I was in one of the bands that wanted to play at the festival. And we did play at Vičstock. We actually know each other from ninth grade - like our characters in the film.
The stars of the new Slovenian teen movie shared with us some interesting facts from the filming of it. (Photo by Šimen Zupančič)
What are you willing to do for love, Bojan? Because your character is very committed in the film to get Ester back.
I have a little wish to find love again, for which I would be willing to do such a big thing. It seems to me that I have not felt that since primary school or the beginning of high school.
Was your first love fatal? Like Kaj's?
Katja: Yes!
Bojan: In my opinion, yes.
And how did your first love end?
Bojan: Ask me if I have a girlfriend.
Do you have one?
Bojan: No. (laughs) I told you that I have been rejected in the past. But I had my first love in kindergarten.
Katja: I remember my first boyfriend from high school. We, of course, had to hide our relationship from everyone, in case we broke up afterwards and embarrassed ourselves. That way nobody knew we were in love and nobody asked anything when it was over.
Have you ever hidden your love?
Bojan: No, I'm like an open book.
Did you have fun during the filming or were you focused the whole time?
Bojan: We had as much fun as we could. It was relaxing.
Katja: I just remember that Diana and I used to rehearse scenes and kiss all the time, thinking that that would keep us in the role...
Have you also been kissing a lot?
Bojan: All the time, but only when the camera was on (laughs).
What did you think of the script?
Katja: For me, the biggest question was why they went their separate ways in the first place, but looking back, I understand Ester more and more.
Bojan: (playing offended) What are you trying to say?
Katja: (laughs) Yeah, he was probably too fixated on her.
What are the differences between you and your characters?
Bojan: The biggest difference is that as a young boy, I was not a loner like Kaj over the years. Kaj wanted to spend time with Ester more than anything, and I see the key problem with their relationship as the fact that it started to suffocate Ester. Ester, in my opinion, wanted to get away from this one-to-one, one-person, all-day contact. Of course, we're young in the film and you have doubts about your first real romantic relationship, but it started to suffocate Ester...
Katja: ...that there is nothing else.
Bojan: Anyway - Ester is not cool, neither is Kaj. She sits at home and plays 'Krofki'² ('Doughnuts').
What do you do in your free time now?
Katja: I like to read and I'm quite similar to Ester in terms of my nerdiness.
Bojan: I like reading too. If I have time during the day to do something, I like to relax as actively as possible, ride a horse or go-kart, fish... In short, something to get the energy out of me. I'm not good at fishing at all, but it calms me down a lot.
Do you like being so busy, travelling so much?
I wouldn't say I have a big problem with the workload. But it is very tiring to travel a lot. Some of the tours have been designed so that we travel by tour bus, which means that I can sleep in a bed in the bus all night between locations and at least be rested the next day.
But is it good quality sleep?
For me, it is the best in the world and I am thinking about how to recreate this rocking coffin at home. Very small and tight, but the best. But if the connections on the tour are by plane, like we had now, for example, when we flew ten times in seven days, it means you only get about four hours sleep a day. And that exhausts you.
What about packing each time?
I've already got it all worked out! Now I don't even take things out of suitcases, I take the shirt from the top and put the dirty things in a bag somewhere at the bottom. I have two big suitcases at home to change.
¹The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (Akademija za Gledališče, Radio, Film in Televizijo) is the only higher education institution in Slovenia that trains at university level for professions in theatre, film, radio and television.
²The game 'Krofki' is a made up videogame, played by characters in the movie.
Where do you think the housewives' favorite place to kiss their partner is (lips/cheeks/forehead/etc etc.)? Please I simply must know who is a forehead kisser 🥺
Adrienne Maloof: Shoulder. Mostly in a way that tells you you’re kind of a steady and welcome presence next to her, especially when she’s talking to someone she doesn’t like.
Camille Grammer: Cheeks. She’s always giving you casual quick pecks on the cheeks. Usually before she’s about to leave, or when you first greet her.
Denise Richards: Right behind your ear is Denise’s favorite place to kiss you. It can be simultaneously casual and intimate, so it works for any occasion.
Eileen Davidson: Forehead. It’s like second nature to her. It’s just tender and comforting and she likes that.
Erika Jayne: Jawline. Erika has this playful spirit and kissing all the way along your jawline in quick succession is among her favorite ways to show affection. It never fails to get you to smile and the way her blue eyes sparkle afterwards just about leaves you breathless.
Jill Zarin: Temple. Sometimes it’s absent minded, sometimes deliberate, but Jill loves to kiss your temple. With one hand on the other side of your head, she sort of pulls you in to meet her lips.
Kim Richards: Nose. She loves giving small pecks on your nose, typically when you’ve been too distracted and haven’t heard something she’s said. It always gets your attention right back to her.
Kyle Richards: Stomach. Lazy day on the couch, her head resting on you, just the perfect time to place kisses on your belly, clothed or not. 😏
Lisa Rinna: Lips. Did I headcanon this just because I’m obsessed with her lips? Why no, why do you ask? Okay, it’s not just because of that. Like the rest, it’s just a vibe I get. She’s like one of those who will grab your chin to turn you to her and hold you still just so she can plant a kiss on your lips.
Lisa Vanderpump: Palms/Wrists. It feels safe enough to do in select company, and intimate enough that she knows it’s going to fluster you, so hence, it’s absolutely perfect.
LuAnn De Lesseps: Thighs. Yeah, that’s right, I said it. Obviously only in private. In public she’d be more of a corner of the mouth kind of woman. Not quite as chaste as the cheek kiss, but not as outwardly romantic as the full lip kiss.
Ramona Singer: Neck. You’re having a rare day if you’re not trying to cover a hickey from Ramona. She’s obsessed with kissing your neck. Goes crazy for it. Not that you’re complaining.
Sonja Morgan: Sonja likes to leave kisses on your chest, sometimes even leaving some light marks there. Obviously she’s not doing this in mixed company, but when the two of you are alone, she quite enjoys it.
Sutton Stracke: Back Of The Hands. She loves holding your hands, so why not kissing them too? She finds it cute and romantic and equally so when you’ve do the same to her.
I challenged myself to come up with a unique one for each of them. 😝
Also, side note, the ones that I think would enjoy giving forehead kisses are: Camille, Eileen (obvi), Erika, LuAnn and Sutton. Since you were curious.
Franks (Kyle Schmid) just couldn’t let it go.
The latest NCIS: Origins episode sees him continuing to look into who assaulted Tish (Tonantzin Carmelo), even though she’d asked him not to. But he has a lead — the man has a burn scar on his neck and a possible location — and when he admits as much to Tish, she tells him she loves him anyway but can’t be with him anymore. Flashbacks to 1982 show how they met and she began saving him (with a haircut). Plus, the case in present-day 1991 is a rough one for Franks: A vet (Nick Gomez‘s Tom) accidentally killed his friend during a war flashback.
Below, Schmid, who has been delivering standout performances as the show digs into his character, takes us inside this devastating episode for Franks and teases what’s ahead.
This is such a devastating episode for Franks, from the case and how that turned out for Tish. How is he doing at the end of this episode?
Kyle Schmid: Franks is just gutted. I mean, have you ever fallen in love and had to walk away from it just because something — there’s something so truly kind of tragic about how stubborn Franks is in the scenario where he’s unable to walk away from something that is just kind of tearing him apart from the inside. And the fact that Tish needs to take her space, which you can’t help but respect, it’s kind of a little Romeo and Juliet-ish where you have two kind-of star-crossed lovers that have been pulled apart because of this tragedy. Tonantzin Carmelo is great in the episode and always a pleasure to work with. And that scene at the end, it was tough to shoot because it really does kind of hit all the hard spots, you know what I mean?
Sonja Flemming / CBS
And it comes after that tough case for him because he got personally involved in it. So it’s just like one thing on top of another for Franks.
Yeah, I mean, no kidding. Let’s talk about Nick Gomez, the guy who played our vet. What a phenomenal actor and person. And you talk about commitment and character work. Nick was phenomenal and by the end of it, I was like, “Please don’t go, man. Can we just rewrite the end of this? I’d love to work with you for the entirety of the show.” He was just such a pleasure to work with.
Franks hadn’t been able to stop looking for the guy who attacked Tish even after she’d made him promise not to. But could he have, if he’d known this was how it would’ve ended up, just based on who Franks is? I feel like he wouldn’t have been able to let it go, right?
No, there’s no way Franks could let that go. It’s too personal. It’s broken this kind of unspoken bond of trust in humanity. There are certain crimes in the world that I think should be just punishable by death, and that is one of them. And I think that’s where Kyle and Franks share some moral common ground. Violating a woman, whether it be violently or sexually, or any human being is unacceptable. And your love, the love of your life and your partner…
Franks has the mental capacity to deal with the consequences of going after him. He’s been to Vietnam, he’s suffered great loss in his life. He’s taken [a] life. And when you have those tools as a human being and you know that you’re able to compartmentalize and utilize them in order to survive, in order to take retribution, Franks knows that he can shoulder the consequences of his actions if he were to go after the guy. And so, to me, it was always very clear that I was going to be unable to let it go. And God love the Tish character for being so pure and holding on to that sense of humanity that you need to move on with your life, which Franks is obviously unable to do.
It looks like they’re over. But what can you say about what we might see from Franks and Tish going forward? Is she going to be back?
I think there’s still a part of that story that needs to be told for multiple reasons. One of those reasons being that Tonantzin as an actress is just so good, but also in the sense that she’s such a big part of Franks’ life that I hope the writers can have her visit Franks, whether it be in the form of the real world or flashbacks or maybe perhaps the ghost of, the angel on the shoulder, the moral compass for him because she has been that. And I think that was the biggest part of their relationship, that she was the only person that Franks would listen to, up until this specific scenario, where she could guide him and be his compass.
He still has that lead about the scar on the burn scar on the neck, he knows where he is going to look. So is he going to continue to do that? Is he still going back to that laundromat?
Well, she’s left and he hasn’t made any promises to make her stay. So my inkling might be that we might have to find this motherf**ker.
Greg Gayne/CBS
I have to say I love the flashbacks to their first meeting. Talk about filming those and getting into Franks’ mindset for those flashbacks.
Oh my God, the crew was calling me sexy Jesus on set. It was ridiculous. [Laughs] It was so much fun. The producers were so specific with the look of what they wanted. It was a Jim Morrison-esque kind of feeling. Shay Sanford-Fong, who’s our key hair, spent weeks prepping my wig and making sure that it was absolutely perfect. And Jenny [Lin], who’s our key makeup, was in charge of the beard. Those are hours and hours and days of prep to make something look so realistic and so incredible, so huge thank you to them. Because when you look in the mirror and you don’t feel like it’s genuine and it works, it’s not going to work. So when you get to put on those pieces, for me, it’s like my boots and my guns — they just make you like a whole person. And for those pieces, it was really an opportunity to step back.
But also it was fun to play with his voice. We’re going back six, seven years with the flashbacks perhaps, kind of playing in that world where he hasn’t smoked two packs a day for 10 years. Kind of also playing into the cadence of the young Mike’s accent and ear trying to blend the two so we can see the transition naturally occur from what we saw in [Episode] 11. So borrowing some of what Brandon Spink had done [as the younger version] and the vocal work and then knowing where I end up and playing into the middle, there was a lot of fun. Riding a motorcycle again, being on a Harley Davidson felt fantastic. It’d been 10 years since I’d ridden a bike. And it was so much fun to be able to do that.
But also just to be kind of in that hippie world of Mike Franks. We see the gruff, put-together, driven man that he is today in 1991. And then to see what Vietnam did, which very much s**t all over the military who served out there and came home to thankless media and people. When your job is to protect and serve, you are following orders, you are doing your job and you are doing it to the best of your ability to protect the person beside you in the trenches. Every single serviceman who was over there deserves to come home to love and respect, regardless of the politics of the war. And I think we touch on that really well in this episode. And so going into that flashback, I think you have a writer like [co-showrunners] Gina [Lucita Monreal] and David [J. North], who obviously have fantastic character work. And because we’re on a network show, politics is something that you tread lightly on, but they’ve done it so well in hopes that we can have an audience empathize and truly understand the human being that came back from war. And where you can end up with the right help, which, without Tish, Franks very much most likely would’ve ended up just like Tom. And if only Franks could have gotten to Tom’s character earlier, perhaps we wouldn’t have been in this situation we were in the episode. It’s just powerful. The writing is so powerful. It’s such a gift to be able to bring it to life.
We’re really getting stuff about Franks between the midseason premiere and this and the stuff with his brother. I have so many questions about his brother. Is there anything else coming up there?
I want to know, too. I want to know, too. I have that line in the opening scene, I’m under the glass table and she goes, “Your brother’s calling.” And I go, “I don’t have a brother.” And I’m like, “Guys, what do you mean, I don’t have a brother? We were just introduced to my brother,” and I didn’t get an answer. So I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t know. I have theories, and the fun part about the fan world is we all get to kind of speculate together. And this is the first show I’ve ever been on where — I’ve been part of some really wonderful productions and gritty stuff. I’ve always been too close to the material that I’ve been unable to watch it. I think with Origins, I play such a big character that is so unlike myself that I’m able to separate one from the other. And so I truly enjoy watching the show. I can’t wait to watch and see what the fans say and what the speculation is on what happened in Vietnam, if he never made it back, where he went, what happened between the two. There’s so many variables in that scenario. And I will say the kid who played my older brother in [Episode] 11, Matthew Erick White, that kid’s a star. He’s so good. He’s such a great actor. I can’t wait to see him again. I can’t wait to see what happens with that storyline.
Are there more flashbacks coming?
Buckle your seatbelt for Episode 15. Because there are flashbacks and we get to see this whole thing come full circle. It’s so good. [Episode] 15 is so good. I can’t wait for you to see that one.
Rhaenys chuckling as she watches Sonja try to bury her face against corlys's chest as the pleasure overwhelms her.
"I think our poor thing would have been too shy" she smirks looking up at corlys, pretty hand sinking into Sonja's hair to pull her face Back to watch her expression as she falls apart.
"ah-I-please" Sonja can only gasp. Feeling Corlys's cock pressing against her stomach she feels a shiver run down her spine.
"oh you remember how I took you? You'll never forget those nights" corlys says curling his fingers deeper
Sonja could only blush some more at Rhaenys' words. It was all too much; she had missed his touch just as much and now she was overwhelmed.
A soft gasp escaped her at the tug of her hair and she finally locked eyes with the Princess. Her pretty lips parted with moans as he only quickened her fingers. Those big eyes of hers began to roll.
"She squealed..fuck, oh we did not leave the bed for days, did we, sweet love?" Corlys purred; pressing against her stomach some more as he began to tease her clit with his thumb.
"i’ve always been in love with you ." ink verse
𝔱𝔞𝔰𝔱 𝔬𝔣 𝔥𝔢𝔞𝔳𝔢𝔫𝔩𝔶 𝔩𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 // @llosgcariad
The morning light faintly shone through the window, illuminating his red hair to make it shine like fire. She'd woken briefly, the light had been in her face, and she'd moved to face him chest to chest. Neither of them had bothered to try to get up, there were so few gaps in their respective schedules to have a lazy morning.
His confession had her alert, pushing herself up on her forearms to partially sit up. Sonja studies his expression closely, making sure he wasn't making a poor joke. Their relationship...it had a number of bumps along the way, and one vicious falling out. Things were different now; his music career was taking off, her tattoo shop was fully booked up for months, and there was a TV show she was regularly a judge for. It wasn't just them anymore, paparazzi followed them when they went out, social media became complicated with the public demand into their private life.
"Kiran...." She murmured, trying to find the words, reaching out to trace her fingers over the lines of one of the tattoos she'd done for him. The one when they reunited. "You have always been it for me, nobody could hold a candle to you. You broke my heart, but it has always been yours to do with as you pleased."
She shows, more than she tells her feelings. Something she blamed on knowing multiple languages, that it wasn't always easy to translate what she wanted to say. In truth she was guarded, compared to when she was younger. He was one of the few that ever saw past the walls she guarded herself with.
"There never will be anyone else, just you. Because I love you too." Sonja rested her palm flat on his chest, over his heart.
#—&;drag my teeth across your chest; taste your beating heart(ɪɴQᴜɪʀɪᴇꜱ)#—&; I won’t die for love but ever since I met you; you could have my heart and I would break it for you (ɪɴᴋ ᴠᴇʀꜱᴇ)
