You wake up from your slumber hearing the screams from your neighbors in the small village you live in. You rush past your family who is now also scrambling to their feet, your husband rushing to gather himself as your children panic. You open your door slightly to see rooftops on fire and dead bodies lying in the roads.

Quickly, you close the door and turn to your husband with wide eyes, “Callum, it’s Vikings…” Your voice shakes with fear. You’ve heard stories from other villages about their attacks, leaving nothing but death and sorrow in their paths.

“We have to run, grab the children!” Callum whispers loudly as you stand there feeling overwhelmed with emotions. Everyone always assumed this village would be safe, untouchable, but this proved them all wrong.

Rushing to your children, you quickly squat down, “We are going to have to run, as fast as you can, okay?”

The children nod their heads crying, your oldest trying to be brave for you. Just then you all jump as the door is flung open. Screaming, you turn to see three big men and an equally large woman enter your home. An even bigger man, ducks to enter your home. The leader turns to two of the other Vikings and speaks to them in a language that you’ve never heard before. They nod and move to my husband, restraining him. He screams and the woman hits him, making you fear for your lives more. You look up wide eyed as the tall man begins to approach you.

König sees the family before him, a man frozen in fear, three children cowering behind their mother, and then their mother… you. A small but brave woman, brave enough to speak up when her husband couldn’t. It makes him impressed, wondering what type of woman could be so bold.

König approaches you with a hungry look in his eyes. His gaze drops down to the way the thin fabric of your nightgown clings to your body. "Are you upset that Y/n and Ryusei are gonna kiss?" he shouldn't have said that.

What the hell was going on? you thought, first, Baji is distancing himself from you, then he shows up randomly in the play you in AND KISSES YOU. and NOW, he wants to talk to you alone after the play. You took a deep breath before entering, Baji was waiting, leaning against the wall.

Chan nodded, blinking a few times to wake up. “Yeah. Just… tired I guess.” He chuckled. “Didn’t even realize I fell asleep.”

Soonyoung laughed too. “You want to call it a day? We’ve been here for…” He turned to his watch. 

Chan shook his head. “No. I want to get this choreo done.” Soonyoung looked at him skeptically. “Come on, hyung, we can crank this out. I’m okay, I promise.”

Chan was singing a very different tune as the two of them departed from the dance studio an hour and a half later. After falling asleep during their water break, an aura of fatigue had been clinging onto Chan, slowly his thoughts. Chan sneezed a third time, stumbling forward.

Chan crumbled. He could never lie to Junhei. “No.” He sniffled, rubbing at his nose. “Please don’t tell Jeonghan.”

Jun chuckled, rubbing his hands up and down Chan’s bare arms. “Wouldn’t dream of it. As long as you take some meds and go right to bed.” 

“Aye aye, captain,” Chan replied, waiting obediently as the elder man reached into the cabinet for said medicine. “This really snuck up on me.”

“Well, then that means you can sneak right back if you play your cards right.” Jun handed over the tiny cup of amber liquid, and Chan shot it back with little complaint. 

He only grimaced a little bit. “That didn’t make a lot of sense, hyung.”

Jun shrugged. “I’m not here to make sense. I’m here to make dollars.” 

“Okay. Love you.” Chan blew Jun a kiss, which the elder happily returned, before moving off towards his room. 

When Chan entered his room, he found Seungkwan sitting on his bed. “What are you doing here?”

Seungkwan looked up at him with the sweetest, sincerest puppy dog eyes. “Cuddles?”

“Not sure I’m the best candidate for that right now. Think I might be getting sick.” He sniffled immediately after, proving his point.

Chan nodded. “Junnie-hyung made me take some Nyquil in exchange for not telling Hannie.” He snagged another tissue from the box, holding it against his nose, which was running more than he appreciated. 

Seungkwan snorted. “Hannie’s gonna find out.”

Chan glared up at him through his lashes. “No he’s not.”

“Oh, he is.”

“You’re not gonna tell him!”

“I don’t need to.”

Chan’s forehead creased. “Then how…” Without warning, Seungkwan tapped the bridge of his nose, and Chan was suddenly very glad he was already holding that tissue as he immediately sneezed three times and would’ve had zero time to cover otherwise. “What the FUCK!?”

“That’s how, dummy.” Seungkwan laughed despite Chan’s obvious pout. 

“You’re so mean,” Chan huffed. “I can’t wait to get you sick and then we’ll see whose laughing.”

Seungkwan, ironically, laughed at Chan’s threats. “Sure, sure, Channie-bug.”

“I mean it.” 

“You don’t.”

“I do.”

“If I believed that, I wouldn’t be in here right now. I would’ve left as soon as I made sure you got in bed.”

Chan paused, lips pursing together. “Did Jihoon put you up to this?”

Seungkwan shrugged. “That’s a strong word. Jihoon suggested I come and check on you. The cuddling was all my idea. He was nervous about you sneezing in the shower.” 

Chan rolled his eyes. “Seokmin almost gets a concussion one time…”

“And we have to pay the price for it for eternity.” Seungkwan kissed the top of Chan’s head, as if bringing an end to the conversation. “Now, I’m turning on a movie, and you’re going to sleep.” He pulled Chan back against his side, one hand wrapping up around the younger man’s head, fingers tangling in his hair. 

Chan sniffled. “And you’re a hundred percent sure you’re not worried about getting sick?”

Seungkwan’s smile was heart melting. “Cross my heart, bug. Cross my heart.”

YAYA! It's one of my favourite games too! Apparently I have a fondness for several cute aesthetic but dark themed games lkfklfd

But I like the update so far! Mild spoilers I guess, but it's mostly what had already been mentioned in the announcements/patches etc; Blunderbuss is lots of fun, all the outfits are so cute and the NPC that gives you new designs is cute too! It is very funny to me that follower levels got capped to ten bc most of my guys were like level 50 fdkjhfdk. Sozo's a menace, but I still love them (and glad they are back, bc I was distressed to find them dead for the first time fgdfg). I haven't found any of the supposed lore yet, but I am looking!!! (But it would probably help if I went on crusades more - I just like the cult management part more!!!)

AND THE BABIES, RAUGH THE BABIES!!! THEY'RE SO SMALL AND CUTE, AND THEY POOP SO MUCH, PLEASE THERE IS SO MUCHHHHH- But yes, I am having fun, and I am going to go play it some more, but please have this;

Farah definitely didn't know it was Parim's tea set or she never would have destroyed it (and she feels awful about the whole fight) - she really does love her sibs, she's just very young and having a really hard time coping with a lot of things, and as an 11 yr old she obvs didn't handle things very maturely. She's definitely been struggling but you'll have a chance to talk to her about things after your meeting with Nour.
