Thoughts I had during TGCF S2 Ep 4
This’ll be another quick reaction ‘cause I have a desk to clean!
-Oooh!  Starting with the opening!
Previously on TGCF…
-Dim Sum night @ Paradise Manor!
-Man they didn’t even get a sip in
-He reassured Lang Ying
-Dude it was in a really small glass, so maybe it could’ve been to his liking if it wasn’t alcoholic
-Man that expression and tone made it seem like Hua Cheng made a really grave error
That noise when Qingxuan tilted their head
-Qingxuan is the wingman/woman
-For those of you who think he said, “Some sex allow indulgences” in the dub,  it’s actually “Some sects allow indulgences” which references the sects that practice cultivation, and I manage to catch that detail
-Licentious means related to promiscuous and sexual activity.
-A flashback to Ep 2
-That’s the advice on staying balance is basically what every patron ignores in Vegas
-He’s tricking him into getting the information for the dice portal
-“Enough San Lang!  Please stop teasing me.”  *In a sing-song voice*  No he will not~!  And XL said it so gently!!!!
-Man he fell for that favor all too quickly
-Just like transferring spiritual energy
-It’s a 12!
-It’s the music from EP 6 when they were both caught in the sandstorm!!!!
-He offered his dice!!!
-Man, hook line and sinker for XL
-“A few more rounds?” We all know what he was referring to~! ;3
-NYOOOM
-“San Lang, will you ever stop spoiling me?” *In a sing-song voice again*  No he will not~!
-Aww he doesn’t want to take advantage of his Ghost King
-Hi Qingxuan
-This is like removing your belt and getting into comfier clothes after going to town at a fancy restaurant with your folks
-No thoughts just Buff!Qingxuan, and he’s got great fashion sense
-Details~!  That’s literally all of us watching this!
-Yep told ya he’s got great fashion sense and imagine the montage Windmaster did just to sneak in
Tumblr media
-This has the energy of seeing your roommate just pass out in your room of the flat
-Salacious means arousing to appeal to sexual imagination
-“I mean he called you his honored guest in front of everyone” “Jealous~?” - Jake the Dog, Burning Low, Adventure Time
-He didn’t forget at all
-They were talking about luck~
-Man that transition with the dice toss
-A really temporary gift
-Another 12
-That’s a lot of stairs
-Firebending
-No need to be savage Qingxuan
-Just like The dragon of the west, the Martial god of the west somehow has that energy and more foreshadowing for the series
-It looks like a Mayan mural
-No earthbending allowed
-The dice and tunnel are confusing them
-He rolled a 7!  Somebody go get Miguel and Tulio!
-It’s the iconic floor trap pitfall
-They made two craters like Wile E. Coyote!
-Oooh right on the skull!
-It’s a narrow tunnel!
-Cave in!
-LEECH WORMS!
-Another animal hybrid the people in ATLA will get scared sh*tless over
-More firebending!
-Fire beats bug!
-Well those dice tiles were convenient
-Another 7!
-Another trap door!
-It’s a 4!
-The downside of partnering with Xie Lian everyone
-And he just effortlessly helps up Buff!Qingxuan
-I like how he doesn’t badmouth Hua Cheng’s trickery
I’m gonna to skip this next part of the EP because it’s offensive!  (You know the part I’m talking ‘bout)
-That’s gonna be another visit to the exfoliating facial masks
-Welcome to XL’s pain dude
-Dude, you didn’t bring him bad luck at all, he didn’t realize and it’s out of both of your control
-One man can’t sway the Windmaster’s luck, that gonna be another iconic quote
-Get yourself a friend like Qingxuan
-Yay another conveniently placed dice tile!
-Another 12
-Man the whiplash Qingxuan has going from saying ‘San Lang’ to ‘Hua Cheng’ when he got exasperated
-This took place in a time before the Step counter was invented
-*hears Ming Yi speak*  OH NO HE’S HOT!!!
-He melted the metal shackles
-This has the energy of the cheerleader being close with the goth girl but masculine
-From EP 11
-Yep it’s exactly like the popular girl trying to befriend the goth
-And he already knows they’re close!
-And Ming Yi just sleeps to not talk to anyone, valid
-What was the number he just rolled
-Another floor trap
-He didn’t land in his lap like in the novel and man Hua Cheng
-Boo Chinese Censorship! BOO!!! (Rotten tomatoes)
*Hua Cheng gasps in demi* *wink wink*
That’s all for the reaction post, I gotta get back to cleaning me and my sister’s room

31 Days of Mega Drive Hits - A 35th Anniversary of the Console
Update 1 Sept 2024 12:00 PM PST - The event has concluded. Thanks for partaking!
To celebrate the 35th anniversary on the exact month the Mega Drive got launched in North America, I've compiled a set of games that were released for the console. This should help me get through 31 days while patiently waiting for Universal Parks to complete building Epic Universe in time right before I reach my money saving challenge goal.
Here's the list of games circa 1989 - 1998:
• Altered Beast (1 August) • Golden Axe (2 August) • Columns (3 August) • Ecco the Dolphin (4 August) • Sonic the Hedgehog (5 August) • ToeJam and Earl (6 August) • Thunder Force IV (7 August) • Kid Chameleon (8 August) • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (9 August) • Road Rash II (10 August) • Streets of Rage 2 (11 August) • Ranger X (12 August) • Jungle Strike (13 August) • Rocket Knight Adventures (14 August) • Jurassic Park (15 August) • Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (16 August) • Gunstar Heroes (17 August) • Landstalker: The Treasures of King Nole (18 August)* • Eternal Champions (19 August) • Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles (20 August) • Mickey Mania (21 August) • Earthworm Jim (22 August) • Shining Force II (23 August)* • Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (24 August) • Ristar (25 August) • Crusader of Centy (26 August) • Mega Bomberman (27 August) • Vectorman (28 August) • Comix Zone (29 August) • Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island (30 August) • Frogger (31 August)
Once each day is cleared, I will cross off the game I finished checking out as longplays alone. Won't be long for me to pass the time!
Please note this list does not include the majority of Mortal Kombat, as the rights have been shifted to Warner Bros. Discovery Games. It also does not contain Dr. Robotnik and his Mean Bean Machine nor Sonic Spinball, so I apologize in advance if it does not meet up the standards. In addition, no Nowhere-in-Particular exclusive games are present. Just wanted to set the record straight.
*I also want to verify I'm only going to check out the endings of both Landstalker and Shining Force II since both are extremely huge to go through the entire progress.
That's all for now. Happy 35th anniversary! :)

"Deep under the jungles of Central America, within a cave system filled with bats, electric eels, and frogs, I unearthed a casket containing an artefact of the 1990s: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure."
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Sega Mega Drive, 1994.
Has a connection to Tron through the animation work done on it by Bill Kroyer's studio.

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure was designed by John Spinale, developed and released by Activision in 1995 for Windows, Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance, Genesis, Jaguar, etc. The Mayan Adventure is part of the Pitfall franchise that began in 1982 with the original Pitfall! for Atari 2600.

Good afternoon everyone,
Last night's stream featured only Catherine, namely the Xbox 360 version of it. It's a story driven puzzle platformer, and even on easy difficulty it's a nutty game. The plot is that Vincent ends up cheating on his long time girlfriend named Katherine with a woman named Catherine right when he's starting to have nightmares based on his fears (commitment, being a father, etc). Being a game published by Atlus, there is a ton of surreal imagery including some 'what the fuck' moments.
In terms of progress, we cleared the first five stages (Underground Cemetery, Prison of Despair, Torture Chamber, Inquisition and Quadrangle), and more often than not, it was my own mistakes that lead to me falling to my demise... except  when it comes to the fifth boss, that Hell Bride certainly threw in some pain in ass mechanics that caught me way off guard. In fact that was where I had the most trouble... so I can imagine how the remaining stages are going to go.
At this point, I think I'll slot Catherine in for Next Saturday's stream instead of trying to finish it on Monday, because I have a feeling it'll take me a while to finish it!
On a side note, I did notice the Teddy plush in the Stray Sheep bar for obvious Easter Egg for Persona 4. Which makes sense because from what I understand, the team that worked on Catherine also worked on the Persona games (or at least Persona 5).
For the raid, we dropped in on Kalenal while they were playing Final Fantasy XIV over at twitch.tv/kalenal!
Catherine Achievements
The Nightmares Have Just Begun.: Conquer Stage 1.
The Great Escape: Conquer Stage 2.
Play It Again, Vince...: Use the jukebox to change the music.
Let My Sheep Go: Conquer Stage 3.
No One Expects the...: Conquer Stage 4.
Push It to the Limit!: Push 5 blocks at once. (Golden Playhouse)
Crossing the Courtyard: Conquer Stage 5.
Stream Clip Links
Well we die!
I'm doomed!
Whoa... Well That happened!
While going through some boxes to see what is going to go to the trash, I found a bunch of games of the Sega Genesis, which were NBA Jame, Sonic & Knuckles, Mortal Kombat 3, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, X-Men, Ghostbusters, Madden '94 and NCAA Football. We have the carts and the cases... just not any of the manuals! Still what a find! I know we had more, so I wonder if the others will turn up?
Spoke to mom a few times yesterday, the weekend staff of the facility where she is at for physical therapy wasn't exactly on the ball... hope they'll do better today. We are raising funds in her fight against lung cancer, if you'd like to help out please visit: https://gofund.me/6adf8354
My hot streak of completing short story commission continued with the finishing writing another Dragon Ball story featuring Future Trunks, and I have another request in the works.
Today's Fitness Boxing 2 daily workout featured Intermediate Combo #1, Defensive Combo #2 and Triple Combo #2 for 31 minutes.
I'm afraid for the calendar. Its days are numbered."
Song of the Day: Someone You Loved by Lewis Capald
For tonight's stream, well you know what day it is, its Sunday night which means its time for Overwatch 2!
So on that note we'll see you later over on twitch.tv/fredcasden!

No real reason to post this, but Pitfall the Mayan adventures is one of the first games I remember playing, and I played it A LOT to the point of babbling about it on the playground all the time. The ending of this game is so weird when you did not know there were other games in the series.
