The sword of the day is the pesh-kabz.

The pesh-kabz (also spelled “peshkabz”) is a dagger from India and Persia. Like the khyber knife, it features a T-shaped spine that lends the blade more rigidity than its blade’s thickness suggests, and the reinforced, needle-like tip makes it excellent at piercing chain mail armor, similar to the European rondel dagger. It also possesses a wide, hollow-ground blade that makes it an exceedingly effective slashing weapon. Though it originated in Persia, it was eventually introduced to India by the Mughal empire.
