asgore makes me so emotional in general i think it’s such a shame that undertale’s fanbase and fandom impact has skewed the way people perceive it as a game because it’s so good with such a heartfelt and compelling storyline …. and asgore makes me insane and sick and soggy because the game keeps tricking you into thinking everyone is against you and wants you dead, and every single time you’re forced to realize that isn’t true — but this next guy is evil for sure — and then when you finally get to the big bad boss who actually wants to kill you he is watering a patch of golden flowers . and tells you he’d have liked to share a cup of tea with you . dies forever and ever

MILGRAM IS SOOOOOOO . so so sickeningly good i don’t even know where to start,,,,,,, I LOVE THE CHARACTERS SO MUCH . kazui in particular but there are 🥹 sooooo many that i cherish ……… AND THE SONGS !!!!!!!!!!!!! the mysteries in general and the way the votes change the dynamics and events like ohhhhh my god . it’s so cool. i rlly hope they turn it into a video game at some point bc there are so many different routes hidden in the votes … :’3

you mention that large part of your writing style is inspired by a game called disco elysium, yes?

i'd like to know your journey in practicing that kind of style until you eventually developed your own!! i want to do something similar but im not entirely sure how to go about it tbh :3

(also the game i'm inspired by is called hollow knight - i think you'd like the writing in that game too if u don't know about it!!)

aaaa hello anon !!! :’3 i’m honoured that you’d come to me for advice ….. i don’t know if i can give you much in this instance though </3 bc i didn’t really craft my writing style by mimicking disco elysium’s writing in that sense, it’s more like i subconsciously wrote in the style that i ’liked most’, which . just so happened to be de and a couple other sources !!!!!

so it wasn’t really intentional from the start… i just wrote things that were to my tastes writing wise :’)) if that makes sense . which is why it’s a little hard to give advice … but i mean !! just mimicking the style should work, right? if you pay attention to what you like about the writing in hollow knight and sneak it into your own . (AH i should also mention when i say writing i do mean prose . and etc. not themes or the like) ………. but yeah, i guess that’s where i’d start . again, it wasn’t exactly conscious on my part, but i think that’s a sign you should just write without thinking too much !!! if you write in a way that feels good and fun you’re on the right path :3c
