How to Become an Uber Driver in London
Tumblr media
If you aim to become a PCO driver, you might wonder how to start working as an Uber driver.
This is a great move because Uber is a prime opportunity for private hire drivers in London, boasting millions of passengers. As an Uber driver, you'll quickly find ample PCO work.
Moreover, Uber partners, as the company calls its drivers, enjoy additional benefits such as earnings guarantees, holiday pay, and free insurance (including sickness and personal injury coverage).
Despite competitors, Uber is the only ride-hailing app that provides drivers face-to-face support for obtaining a PCO licence. The Uber driver app is so well-regarded that you will likely use other apps only occasionally.
This article outlines the requirements for becoming an Uber driver, the basics of obtaining a PCO licence, and tips on selecting an Uber-approved car with the right insurance.
1. Check Your Eligibility
First, ensure you meet the basic Uber driver requirements:
A UK driving licence (Uber insists you convert EU or EEA licences to UK ones)
At least 21 years old with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience in the UK or EU/EEA
No serious driving offences on your record (Full list of deal-breakers here )
A suitable car and insurance (you can start registration without these)
A Private Hire Driver Licence (commonly called a PCO licence)
A bank account in your name or a company you own
2. Sign Up with Uber in London
Next, register your interest in becoming an Uber driver through a short form or the Uber driver app using just an email address and a smartphone.
You can’t start driving until all paperwork is complete, but this initiates the process. Then, book an Uber Ignition appointment at the Greenlight hub in Tower Hill for a detailed explanation of the process.
You can either upload basic personal documents (such as bank statements) into the Uber system now or choose to do it later.
Did you know?
The Uber Ignition programme guides you through becoming an Uber driver, including free training sessions to prepare for TfL tests.
3. Apply for a Private Hire Driver's Licence
The key document needed is a PCO licence, issued by the local council where you will work, handled by TfL in London.
This licence is essential for the job. If you already have a PCO licence, skip to step five. New drivers should note that this takes months of PCO licence process. Here's a summary of the application:
4. How to Get a PCO Licence
Applying for a PCO licence involves two main parts: the checks and the tests.
The Checks:
Medical check (This is a form usually completed by your own doctor)
Background check (subscribe to the DBS Update Service)*
Right to work check (UK/Irish citizens can use basic ID documents here)**
Register with HMRC for self-assessment tax***
*The disclosure barring service (DBS) is a criminal record check to protect passenger safety.
** Other nationalities can easily apply for a share-code or use immigration documents.
*** New drivers must only confirm they understand this. Renewals need a tax-check code.
Did you know?
Since February 2024, all private hire drivers must pay an annual subscription to the DBS Update Service for continuous registration.
The Tests:
Speaking and listening test (English assessment)
Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding (SERU) test
Topographical Skills test (London geography and map reading)
Create an online TfL account to start the process. Complete the checks before submitting your application, and take the tests later, often all in one day at TfL offices.
Did you know?
From 1 April 2023, new Uber drivers must pass all of these TfL tests before they get a PCO licence. For existing Uber drivers who never completed them, there is still wiggle room .
How much does it cost to get a PCO licence?
TfL says the full cost to apply for a Private Hire Driver Licence is £477, plus the price of a medical check. Various private agencies now offer to help new PCO drivers with a licence application but it’s wiser to stick to official channels (e.g. Uber Ignition) to avoid these extra costs.
5. Start Onboarding with Uber
With a PCO licence, upload any remaining documents into the Uber app at the Greenlight hub. Complete basic online training and provide:
Proof of identity (e.g., passport)
UK Driving Licence (Original plastic card)
DVLA Electronic Counterpart Check Code (Get yours here )
Private Hire Driver Licence (PCO Licence)
Profile photo (taken at Greenlight Hub)
Recent bank statement
Typically, it takes about a week for your personal information to show up in the Uber app as a new driver. It's advisable to wait for this confirmation before you begin paying for a PCO car and rideshare insurance.
6. Choose an Uber-Approved Car
Your car must meet Uber's requirements and local licensing authority standards. In London, TfL requires all private hire vehicles to be Zero Emission Capable (ZEC) and meet Euro 6 standards for new licenses.
Opting for an electric vehicle (EV) can simplify this process. Uber offers incentives for EVs, like the Uber PowerUp Package, which can save eligible drivers at least £5,000 on an electric PCO car. Additionally, EVs avoid the London Congestion Charge until the end of 2025.
7. Arrange Private Hire Licensing and Insurance
Capital Hire Management Ltd., founded in 2009, has expanded to become one of London's top PCO car hire companies. In the 13 years we have been with the company, we have assisted more than 5000 drivers with their PCO travels. Being a company known for offering top-notch customer service, we are devoted to helping more drivers reach their goals as a business with a stellar reputation for providing excellent customer service.
8. Upload Your Car Documents
Submit your vehicle documents to Uber, including:
Private Hire Vehicle Licence (PHVL)
Logbook V5C or (AFRL certificate)
Recent MOT (not needed for new cars)
Private Hire Insurance certificate
Hire Agreement or Permission letter (provided by Capital Hire Management ltd.)
Did you know?
Capital Hire Management drivers receive complete assistance with uploading vehicle documents to Uber. If any unexpected administrative issues arise, our team is skilled at resolving them promptly.
9. Activate Your Uber Account
After your documents are approved, your Uber driver status will change to 'active,' allowing you to start earning money as a PCO driver. The Uber driver app is user-friendly, and you can begin accepting jobs and transporting passengers immediately.
By following these steps, you’ll be well on your way to a successful career as an Uber driver in London with Capital Hire Management Ltd.

The Importance of Insurance When Renting A PCO Car
Tumblr media
Renting a PCO car may be your best decision to earn well and make the most of London’s ride-hailing industry. It’s easy, convenient, safe, and above all, extremely pocket-friendly. Renting a PCO car offers PCO drivers the complete freedom to set their schedules, maximise savings, and steer clear of the hassles associated with owning a private car.
PCO car rentals are also fully inspected, licensed, and are available in Uber/Ola/Bolt-ready conditions, making it easier for PCO drivers to quickly register with a ride-hailing company in London. We can go on about the benefits of renting a PCO car, but right now, we want to educate you about the importance of choosing a PCO car rental with an all-encompassing insurance plan.
In this article, London’s finest PCO car rental experts have discussed the meaning, importance, and technicalities of PCO car insurance and why it’s important for PCO drivers. So let’s get into the details right away!
A Brief Introduction to PCO Car Insurance
PCO car insurance plans are purpose-designed for PCO vehicles intended for use in the UK. It’s a legal requirement, and all PCO drivers must drive an insured PCO car to avoid penalties and emergencies. When renting a PCO car in London, do not forget to enquire about PCO insurance, as it can significantly impact your and your passengers’ safety on the road.
Some key features of a PCO car insurance plan are theft coverage, damage compensation, public liability coverage, uninsured motorist coverage, etc. Talk to G&M Direct Hire’s team to learn about PCO car insurance packages and their implications.
Technicalities Involved in PCO Car Insurance
When choosing a PCO car rental, you should know that different PCO rental companies offer different levels of coverage. While they will meet the minimum PCO car coverage requirement, you might want additional insurance to maximise your peace of mind. Therefore, pick the right coverage according to your PCO car type and usage rate.
PCO car insurance, being a legally enforceable policy, these plans must cover all aspects of your PCO car and you cannot get a standard, personal use vehicle plan to cover a PCO car. PCO or PHV vehicular licence covers theft, weather, fire, and accident damages and is a mandatory requirement by ride-hailing companies like Uber and Ola.
Why is PCO Car Insurance Important?
Tumblr media
PCO drivers in the UK can opt for three levels of PHV car licence depending on their needs and business requirements:
The highest level of PHV insurance, AKA full coverage, covers everything associated with your PCO car, including public liability, theft damage, vandalism damage, as well as loss of earnings due to an accident.
As a PCO car driver, you can also add third-party coverage to your existing PCO insurance plan to ensure protection against claims made by third-party persons against you. This plan allows PCO drivers to claim compensation for loss of earnings or vehicular damage requiring immediate repairs and servicing.
The last form of PCO car insurance includes theft and fire coverage that covers a PCO-licensed car damaged by a vandalism activity or fire event and is beyond repair.
Benefits of PCO Car Insurance for PCO Drivers in London
A fully-insured PCO car helps PCO drivers in many ways. Some of the best benefits they offer are:
PCO car insurance pays for injuries sustained by PCO drivers or passengers in the car during or after a road accident
It also pays for third-party damages if an accident damages another vehicle, property, or person
PCO car insurance available in London covers damages in case of theft
It also protects PCO drivers against fire and vandalism damages
Tumblr media
What Will Happen If Your PCO Car Is Not Insured in London?
As a PCO driver, you should understand the consequences of not renting an insured PCO car in London. The TfL has set stringent licensing and insurance codes to ensure PCO driver and passenger safety on the road. The department not only closely monitors every PCO driver’s licence record but also keeps an eye on MOT certifications.
Here’s why you should never pick an uninsured PCO car for rent:
Getting into an accident while driving an uninsured PCO car will make you liable for all kinds of damages.
Uninsured PCO car drivers may also face legal challenges if a passenger or a third-party-owned property is damaged in an accident.
Getting caught driving an uninsured PHV can result in vehicle confiscation. Police can seize your vehicle and cause a significant obstacle in your career.
In the long term, getting caught driving an uninsured PCO car may lead to permanent career problems. It can significantly damage your reputation and may also cause issues in future employment.
Is Insurance for PCO Cars Expensive?
Private Hire Insurance costs anywhere from £1500 and £3500 per annum. The amount is subject to your PCO driving experience, PCN records, convictions or past claims, and your PCO car. PCO drivers may also have to bear the cost of insurance when working for a ride-hailing company such as Uber. For example, the latest Uber driver insurance costs around £1600 per annum or £180 if you opt for their 30-day driving policy.

I have been trying to refine my core collection of *perfect* sewing patterns lately - ones that are simple and easy and timeless and adaptable, that I can grade to a few different sizes for theoretical other people as well as just me. And it has been an interesting thing to have as a goal, because I have for the most part only designed patterns for myself, and to fit my body specifically.
See, there is this thing in fashion design known as the “fit model”, and it's the person whose body the designer drafts their clothes to fit, before they grade the patterns to larger and smaller sizes. But the garments will always best fit the body type of the fit model. They might have a very high bust, for instance, or very broad shoulders, or a very short torso, and so all of the other patterns in the range will also have that, no matter the size.
And some designers use a standardised measure or a mannequin, or hire someone with measurements close to that standard, but a lot of, particularly independent designers, use themselves as their fit model; sometimes because it is easier, sometimes out of selfishness, and sometimes to fit an intentional, under-served niche. There are people drafting clothes especially for big busts, for taller bodies, for plus sizes, for athletic builds, and a million other body quirks that make “standard” garments fit poorly.
I myself I have an incredibly nonstandard body type - one that I have described in the past as “seemingly four or five months pregnant and with an arse that won't quit.” In pure measurement terms, I am a 35”-39”-38” – for comparison, on the ASOS women’s size chart a 35” bust (UK size 10) has a 28” waist. My measurements fit much more closely to their maternity chart size 10 (36”-39”-37”).
I am not pregnant, but I do have quite severe PCOS. My stomach has distinct forward prominence (rather than being evenly distributed around the body) and my butt has distinct backward prominence; I also have a wide bust (which seemingly adds a couple of inches, due to the empty space between them), narrow shoulders, and slim arms and legs.
Which is all to say that I am very much NOT a standard fit model. And so I am left with a choice. I can correct for these issues so that my patterns fit a wider range of bodies. Or I can lean into these particular fit points, and draft a range of garment patterns specifically for people who are either living with conditions similar to mine which cause a lot of bloating and weight gain in the stomach area, and which will also fit people in the beginning stages of pregnancy.
In the choice between having 100 people who casually enjoy your work, and 10 people who are obsessed while the other 90 don’t care, I will always choose the latter. But I don't know if that is a good idea or if that is just me being stubborn. If I am putting in all this work, wouldn't it be better to put in the work for 100 people rather than just 10? Or is it worth it if all of that work truly delights those 10 people?
I guess I need to find 9 more people who have waists bigger than their busts to test out all the different sizes of my patterns.

"Understanding Uber's Range: From UberX to Uber Exec, Exploring the Ride Options"
Tumblr media
Uber strives to continually adapt to the evolving needs of its users by offering a range of ride options tailored to different preferences and circumstances. These options not only cater to passengers' varying needs but also impact drivers' earnings, with fares differing significantly across different ride types, from the standard UberX to the premium Uber Lux service.
Each Uber ride type comes with its own set of requirements, influencing the choice of vehicle for drivers. In instances where a driver's car doesn't meet the specified criteria, there's the option to opt for a PCO car rental, providing flexibility and ensuring compliance.
Let's delve into the various ride types available in the UK and the corresponding vehicle requirements.
UberX: This is Uber's flagship service, designed to accommodate up to four passengers and known for its affordability. Vehicles for UberX must meet specific criteria, including being a four-door model, meeting local licensing authority standards for model year and condition, lacking commercial branding, and being licensed to carry four passengers.
Popular vehicle options for UberX include the Kia Niro EV and Hyundai Ioniq.
UberX Priority: A recent addition to the UK app, UberX Priority offers expedited pickups for passengers in a hurry, albeit for a small additional fee.
Notably, this feature is not yet available at airports.
UberXL: Ideal for larger groups, UberXL provides SUVs and vans capable of carrying up to six passengers. These vehicles must have sufficient boot space and be licensed accordingly. Although UberXL rides command higher fees, they present an opportunity for drivers to earn more per trip.
Uber Comfort: Offering passengers a more premium experience, Uber Comfort provides newer and more spacious cars driven by highly-rated drivers. Passengers benefit from amenities such as setting preferred temperatures and extended waiting times, albeit at a higher cost.
Notably, Give your passengers a distinctive experience with the spacious MG5 EV or the stylish MG ZS.
Uber Green: Committed to environmental sustainability, Uber Green offers rides in fully electric cars at the same price point as UberX. Drivers earn a 10% premium for each Uber Green ride, contributing to cleaner air while potentially accessing EVs through Uber Clean Air EV assistance.
Uber Exec: Catering to those seeking a premium experience, Uber Exec provides high-class rides with luxury vehicles and professional drivers. However, drivers considering exclusive engagement with Uber Exec should note the potentially lower demand compared to other services.
Uber Lux: Uber Lux represents the pinnacle of luxury, offering top-of-the-line black car service with stringent vehicle requirements. This service provides passengers with access to high-end vehicles and professional drivers, including legacy cars in pristine condition.
Uber Access/Assist: Tailored for individuals with mobility challenges, Uber Access provides wheelchair-accessible vehicles, while Uber Assist offers additional assistance for passengers in standard UberX cars.
UberPet: Designed for passengers traveling with pets, UberPet allows for the transportation of one pet per ride at a premium price. Passengers are responsible for any cleaning fees incurred due to pet-related mess.
Uber's flexibility extends to its drivers, allowing them to select the services they wish to drive for, provided they meet the respective requirements. This flexibility enables drivers to potentially drive for multiple services simultaneously, maximizing earning opportunities.

Advantages of Renting an Electric Vehicle for PCO in London
Tumblr media
Many private vehicle drivers in London working for ridesharing apps like Uber and Bolt are considering switching to PCO electric cars due to their many advantages over traditional petrol cars. You may have noticed a rising number of electric vehicles on London's roads over the past few years. This is partly due to new legislation that requires all new cars registered after 2040 to be zero-emission vehicles. Authorities are offering incentives such as lower car insurance premiums, no congestion charge payments, and reduced parking charges to encourage more drivers to switch to EVs.
Not only that, but customers also prefer booking PCO electric cars to minimise the environmental impact of their journeys and save money on their fuel costs. If you're a new PCO car driver in London and want to rent an electric vehicle for your ridesharing app, here are some of the key benefits you can expect:
Saving on Fuel Costs
Charging electric cars at home or public charging stations is significantly cheaper than filling up a petrol or diesel car with fuel. Surveys show that PCO electric car drivers can save up to £800 a year on fuel costs compared to petrol or diesel car owners, not to mention the congestion fees, tolls, and other costs drivers of petrol and diesel cars have to pay every year.
There are also several public charge points where you can charge your PCO electric car for free, making it even easier to save money on your fuel costs. Using free charging points around the city will also help reduce your carbon footprint and make the city more livable for future generations.
Range of Available PCO Electric Cars
PCO electric cars are one of the fastest-growing segments in the global automotive industry. There are many different models to choose from to suit various needs and budgets. Whether you rent an EV for short trips in the city or want to use it for longer intercity drives, cars are available to meet any requirements you may have.
Some of the most popular cars for private hire drivers are Nissan Leaf, Kia E-Niro, Volkswagen ID 3, and Mustang Mach-E, among others. They're compact and unique in design while offering great performance and impressive range, which makes them great for PCO drivers and passengers alike.
Tumblr media
Road Charges
One of the primary advantages of using PCO electric cars is that private car hire companies don't charge any extra road usage fees for driving these cars in public areas like the Congestion Charge Zone and the Low Emission Zone. Currently, PCO electric car drivers are exempt from paying congestion charges until 2025 thanks to the government's Go Ultra Low scheme which aims to make the UK a zero-emissions economy by 2050.
Convenience and Budget Friendly
Many people worry about the cost of purchasing and maintaining an electric car, but this concern is eliminated when you rent it. It's also convenient to rent rather than own because there are often no long-term contracts, and you can drive as much or as little as you like.
Environmental Benefits
The electricity used to power the electric motors in PCO electric cars can come from renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. It's considered to be much cleaner than fossil fuel-based fuels like petrol and diesel. This means that it does not negatively impact the environment and benefits both the driver and the environment as a whole.
While traditional fuel-powered vehicles cause a lot of pollution and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, electric PCO cars emit no harmful pollutants into the air.
Tumblr media
Charging Points Availability in London
There are over 8,600 charge points in London where drivers can recharge their electric cars. This number is set to increase over the next few years as the government continues to invest in more infrastructures to support the uptake of electric vehicles and encourage more people to switch to an eco-friendly alternative.
This means you would always be able to charge your car wherever you are in London and not have to worry about running out of juice before your next ride.
Tumblr media
Breakdown and Maintenance Assistance
Another benefit of renting an EV as a PCO driver is that you can focus on your driving and not have to worry about breaking down or dealing with regular maintenance. You can simply opt for a maintenance package and not worry about any issues that might arise with your electric vehicle.
Experience Before Buying
If you're a new PCO car driver who just acquired their private car hire licence and you're unsure about buying an EV and committing yourself to that expense, it might be a better idea to rent a PCO car first so you can decide if it's right for you. You can get a feel for what it's like to drive an EV and if it's worth it to make the financial commitment.
Furthermore, if driving a PCO car is a side gig for you, not your main source of income, renting allows you to keep your expenses low while you try out different vehicles and see which one works best for you.
The Smooth Drive
If you have never driven an electric car before, renting an electric PCO vehicle will allow you to experience this new technology before you commit to owning one. An electric car is way smoother and quieter than traditional petrol-powered cars, so it may be more comfortable to drive than you imagined. The engine is so quiet that you may not even realize the car is on until you start moving toward your destination.
If you're looking for a reliable PCO car hire in London, get in touch with G&M Direct Hire! They have a range of fuel-powered PCO cars and PCO electric cars that you can rent at affordable rates.

How the Most Skilled PCO Car Drivers Perform
PCO car hiring in London is one of the most popular and in-demand services these days, with more and more individuals obtaining PCO licences to earn extra money. PCO car rentals offer PCO vehicle packages that contract workers can use and profit from. The number of PCO drivers has expanded in recent years as people recognise the benefits of this chance, and employers are also becoming more flexible with their work practices.
Tumblr media
If you've newly entered the private hire market and aren't ready to dedicate your time to it full-time, PCO car rentals are a great choice. Rental companies offer a variety of well-maintained, Uber-ready fleets. You simply sign a brief contract, pay a reasonable cost, and get the car of your choice. Despite this, many individuals continue to have doubts regarding the reliability and calibre of the services offered by PCO vehicle rentals.
If you're new to PCO car hire in Ilford and want some tips and tricks, you've come to the correct place. In this article, we'll talk about how professional PCO car drivers work and how you may increase your income by giving your customers top-notch service.
Once You Have Your PCO License?
The first major step toward becoming a PCO driver is obtaining your licence. You can select a PCO car rental package that satisfies all of your needs after you have the necessary licence. Among the many companies that provide PCO vehicles, Arrow Car Hire in London can help you get started as a PCO driver. To keep you moving on the right track, our team will provide all the required assistance.
Here is some advice that experienced PCO drivers use to maximise their income and enhance their level of service for newbie PCO drivers who have just received their licence.
Working Hours and Location
As a professional PCO vehicle driver in Chelsea, you must first choose what and where you will be driving Uber. In order to maximise their earnings, professional drivers identify the busiest times and exclusively work during those times on private driving platforms like Ola and Uber in the UK.
Tumblr media
Customers are more likely to come to you at congested airports, during peak rush hours, and at midnight in London. However, because each location in the UK has different peak hours, you must conduct research and perform a few trial days to see which works best for you. You will benefit and be able to make a good income from this career if you can find a good time to transport passengers.
Map Reading and Traffic
Depending on your city, you will also need to estimate traffic density and learn about GPS apps. This will make it simple for you to read the roadways, and determine which routes are congested and which routes you should take to efficiently transport your customers.
Professional PCO drivers make sure their passengers arrive at their destinations on time, and GPS apps are a great method to monitor traffic in the city. The weather is another aspect that experienced drivers take into account. Knowing the weather can assist you in choosing a safer route and avoiding highways and roads with heavy traffic, which can postpone you and lower the value of your service. Accidents can also be caused by bad weather and traffic congestion. As a result, map reading can make your journey more pleasant and safer.
Avoid Paying Fines
Professional drivers prefer to avoid paying fines as much as possible because it reduces their revenue, which no one likes. The simplest method to avoid a fine is to read a map carefully and be acquainted with your travels. Otherwise, if you're not vigilant enough, you can end up disobeying a traffic or speed restriction sign, which could result in expensive fines.
Tumblr media
Additionally, make sure you pay attention when driving and avoid speeding, even if it results in delays. As a professional PCO driver in the UK, keep the following essential things in mind:
Driving in the wrong way
Parking in a no-parking zone
Exceeding a speed limit
Fail to pay ULEZ fees
Keeping Your Vehicle Clean
This may seem apparent, yet the majority of top professional PCO drivers keep their cars inside clean and fresh. The passengers will be impressed by this and develop positive impressions about you. Before offering a ride to a passenger, make sure your vehicle is clean and clutter-free.
You should also inspect the seat belts and keep the car maintained. Companies like PCO car rental in Wharf can be useful in this situation. PCO vehicle rentals offer a variety of car care and maintenance packages that are both inexpensive and convenient.
You can have the car serviced once a week and focus solely on getting your clients to their destination and earning money. Car maintenance packages can be a lifesaver, especially for working professionals who drive PCO cars as independent work.
Temperature Checking the Car
The comfort and convenience of your customers depend on you monitoring the temperature of the vehicle so that the passengers may travel comfortably. One of the most important aspects a novice driver tends to ignore is the temperature of the vehicle.
Professional PCO vehicle drivers ensure that the vehicle's interior is comfortable by managing the temperature. Most passengers dress according to the outside temperature; therefore, while adjusting the air conditioner or heater settings, you should also consider how they're dressed.
You can adjust the car's air conditioner to high or moderate if the outside air is too humid. However, if it's cold outside, keep the interior a little warmer because the passengers will probably be wearing warm clothing.
TIP: Before starting the ride, you may also ask the passengers what temperature they prefer. They will respect your consideration and level of service.
Keeping Sanitizers and a First-Aid Kit
Professional PCO drivers also make sure to constantly have a first aid kit and hand sanitiser on hand to protect the passengers from illness. Face masks and sanitizing kits will protect you and your passengers from the COVID-19 virus and other infections.
A first-aid kit will be useful in the case of an unpleasant situation until help arrives, especially if you are stranded in a distant location.
Maintaining a Ride Track
Professional PCO vehicle drivers make a good income by driving private taxis. This requires you to be more organized and keep track of all the rides you take. If you're inclined to forget, you can always keep track of how many rides you took each day and how much money you earned from each trip by making a note in a notebook.
Tumblr media
By keeping track, you'll discover your driving potential and become aware of your limitations. After that, you can plan your rides based on the statistics to prevent burnout. You can add a few more rides at the end of the week if you wish to enhance your earnings or make extra money.
Resting and Public Facilities
Driving passengers all day might be really exhausting. You'll need rest periods in between rides so that you can recharge. Professional drivers plan their routes using GPS applications so they can quickly locate rest stops where they can stop for a breath, get something to eat, or relax before their next ride.
Keep food and drinks in the car in case you are hungry but don't have time for a longer break, which is another habit shared by most professionals.
