I saw u in the notes of that Remus post and first of all, thank u, second of all I think the misconception comes from that ppl think intrusive thoughts are like, Remus' whole thing, which, not true He is Dark Creativity, as in, the more darker things think horror and whatnot, it's just that he manifests as intrusive thoughts because of repression I feel like if cThomas fully realized that he is not the goody goody two shoes that he thought he was, and accepted he's capable of such thoughts and ideas, Remus would pbby mellow down a bit too, since, yanno, less repression, but that's just pondering But, yeah, it's like nobody gets him and what's his role and it's really annoying at times

Yeah, exactly! He's not just intrusive thoughts! He and Roman are BOTH C!Thomas' creativity. I totally agree if C!Thomas stopped repressing him so much, Remus would probably tone down a bit. I think there would still be intrusive thoughts--just because you accept those doesn't mean they stop--but I do think repression makes these things worse. Sort of like we theorize that Remus had gay thoughts first, that C!Thomas repressed, but now that C!Thomas has accepted his sexuality, it's different, and Roman is mostly in charge of the romantic thoughts.

Okay so long story short I think people get too caught up on him being all, disgusting and violent and edgy, while totally disregarding like, the motif behind it, so the image of Remus they have in their mind is just a chaotic "lol random" asshole

For example by focusing more on what he's saying instead of why He does say a lot of random shit, true, but he says it with intent, whether it's to bring awareness to how bad Thomas's mental health is, or to rile Logan up and make him confront his feeling, or challenge Thomas's black and white thinking, and I feel like ppl gloss over that too often for my taste
