— spoils of war

as heir to the throne, you were more than prepared to face the consequences of losing a war. your duty will forever remain for as long as you breathe, and if that meant bearing the weight of countless sacrificed souls and carrying it with you for the rest of your life, or even being forced to watch your land burn before your eyes was the price you had to pay, then so be it.
the last consequence you could have ever expected and were the least prepared for, however, was an offer of marriage from the ruler of the victorious nation.
CONTAINS : gn!reader, 3.5k wc, fluff, slightly suggestive ending, royalty!au, marriage of convenience (kind of), vague mentions of war & blood, mentioned assassination attempt, mentions of having children (very vague and in the "heir to the throne" kind of way), use of "mydeimos" and "mydei", reader is having an existential crisis; mydei is, um, mydei-ing, written pre-3.0
A/N : is this ooc? um... we will find out haha !! (the moment i saw this man i was wondering how i could royal au-ifiy him (outside of him already being a crown prince, that is). i thought of him being a mercenary or personal guard, but @sfznyxio ty for putting the words 'king' and 'mydei' in the same sentence when u showed his drip in the server bc this idea was born and now i am terminally unwell for him 🙏 but also how did this turn into an actual fic when it was literally a 2 para brainrot in discord... where did this plot come from...)

King Mydeimos, present ruler of Kremnos Kingdom, is infamous across the lands. He is a rumoured tyrant thought to have killed his bloodline in order to obtain this position, whose name alone strikes fear into many, and the very same being who just won the war against your own kingdom.
When marching through the capital to reach the steps of the palace after seizing victory and bathed in the lights of glory, his troops following close behind, you thought he would demand for the materialistic spoils such as the kingdom’s trove, maybe choose to seize control over the defeated land and its troops, or perhaps even wreak further havoc within the castle walls. Given the name he has built for himself, it certainly wouldn't surprise you if he decided to forgo all formality and instead brandish his sword like a blood-bathed barbarian.
And so when he appears in the palace entrance, the setting sun giving his rugged appearance a far more... put together look than expected (you refuse to admit the enemy's ruler to be... handsome, of all things), a recitation of prayers hammered into your head throughout the years of etiquette training spring to mind. If you're destined to fall here, you at least wish to perish with thankful thoughts!
...At least, that was the original plan.
So why is it now you're hearing him ask your father and mother, the king and queen of this now defeated kingdom, for your hand in marriage? Where did this sudden formality come from? No, why is he suddenly bowing to his defeated enemies? And— lord almighty above, did he really have to do this here and now? In front of your nation's high council and his own men, no less!
It is safe to assume every jaw except for Mydeimos' dropped into the nether realm, all eyes gawking at his tall, unperturbed figure bowing in respect towards your parents in the centre.
Having probably sensed the rather awkward air bubbling amidst the dumbfounded troops, your parents turn to you in wait for your decision. Despite the apparent pleas in their eyes for you to not agree to such a ludicrous turn of events, what choice do you really have other than to accept? Who knows what this so-called tyrant could do should you refuse this offer when he is being so lenient!
An audible gulp escapes the base of your throat the moment his scalding gaze locks onto you after your hesitant words of approval, searing a trail of where his eyes trails onto your skin.
Seriously, you haven't been on the receiving end of many — if any — wars, but you're almost positive they don't end this... pleasantly, for a lack of better words.
(Who would've thought you would be a spoils of war, as opposed to the national treasure trove...)
Set to depart when the sun rises, there is little time to gather your bearings and your belongings. Servants are bustling while your parents crowd around you, asking if you're really going to go through with this and, “You can say no! If they don't take your rejection well, we can smite them with our army!”
To that, all you have to say is, “...What army? They're all dead.”
They didn't take that very well, if their concerning increase in flowing tears have anything to say about it.
The send-off is nothing too grandiose, save for the entire palace standing at the gates shouting farewells through tear-streaked wails and blowing handkerchiefs. Your parents are at the forefront of it all. Your mother holds your hands as she tells you to return promptly if it gets too much regardless of the consequences (you appreciate the sentiment, but you don't want to burden your family nor your nation because of a dislike), while your father stands before Mydeimos with an order for him to treat you well and respectfully and, “If you damage even a mere hair on my beloved child's head, I will have your head on display!”
...Perhaps that would have been more threatening if not for the slight tremble of his legs and waver in his voice but, again, you appreciate the sentiment. Mydeimos, if anything, takes it in stride with a calm nod of his head and a promise to take care of you. Really, does anything other than the battlefield phase him...?
Soon you're in the carriage and settled opposite your soon-to-be husband, on your way to your new life with a heavy heart. Is this what all your training to take over the throne has surmounted to? Have all your efforts and dedication spent on being the perfect heir for your kingdom simply come down to being wed to an enemy nation's ruler?
Well, perhaps “enemy” is not the right term anymore; not when both your kingdom's are now in a mutually beneficial alliance, along with the promise for one of your heirs becoming next in line for your kingdom's throne.
Ha! What makes him so sure you will have more than one between you?
...Was what you had asked back when he first made the declaration to your parents, only for him to respond in kind with, “If you'd rather adopt, then we can do so.”
(Bastard. Can't he break composure at least a little?)
As the ride drags on, silence permeates. Whether it is the lingering nerves you hid from your parents or this suffocating intimidation confined within the small carriage space, one question still remains at the forefront of your mind: why did he decide to marry you? Truly, it miffs you. He could have just left you to suffer in the downfall of your nation if he wished to do so, or even let you stay as the heir to the now-allianced kingdom.
Upon questioning his motives for your hand in marriage, his response was merely a slow blink before uttering, "The council wouldn't stop pestering me about getting married."
Oh. Was it really that simple of a reason?
Lips pursed, you press a little more. “Then why did you add benefits, such as an alliance with my kingdom? Even if you, King Mydeimos, were to just—”
“Mydei.”
“—just cut down…” trailing off at the sudden interruption, you blink at his cross-armed figure seated across from you. “Oh, um, what?”
“Mydei,” he repeats once more, attention solely focused on you. “No need to bother with formalities. Just refer to me as such.”
“Oh, well, alright... Mydei?” At your uncertain tone, he nods, as though urging for you to carry on. “Right, well, as I was saying... What was I saying...?”
Without missing a beat, he responds, “You were asking why I offered your kingdom a mutually beneficial alliance when I have the means to cut down the nation with brute force and take what I want through violence.”
“Oh, right…” Huh. Did you say all of that? Well, you certainly were thinking of it, but were you that harsh in your wording? Considering how he recited it all without hesitation, you probably did say all of that, with him being a pretty good listener and you perhaps needing to think over your words before you speak them. “So what is your answer to my curiosity?”
“I simply thought you would be happier if I spared your land and made an offer both of us would benefit from.”
“...I see. Well, thank you for your consideration.”
“Think nothing of it.”
And so the ride continues in silence once more, though this time you find yourself more at ease compared to the prior situation. You, however, still have your doubts about the benefits he gave with the alliance proposal, amongst the absurdity of this entire situation.
...Is the man sitting before you really the feared tyrannical ruler people made him out to be? Surely he is being far too merciful for someone of such reputation. There has been no threats, no coercion (well, if you don’t count the whole marriage fiasco as such, but you did willingly agree to it…), no usage of violence — did people perhaps badmouth the wrong monarch?
Then again, the majority of his prowess and achievements stem from the battlefield. Was all this information just mere hearsay from those jealous of his noteworthy feats, or do their words truly hold some merit in their claim? And really, what do you know about Mydei? From his thoughts, to his motives, to the reasoning behind each action… you know nothing.
Well, considering how he has entertained each of your whims thus far, he has the ability to entertain one more, right?
“Mydei, if I may,” you start, looking to him for approval to continue. When he nods encouragingly, you continue. “You said you made an offer we would both benefit from. While I acknowledge the military and protection we receive from you, what benefit do you reap from us?”
Had you not been eyeing him so intently, perhaps the subtle stiffening of his muscles or twitch of his fingers would have remained unnoticed.
“Apart from the high quality agricultural and material trade, I have obtained one more thing. Rather than a benefit, however,” he trails off, gaze shifting to the carriage floor. His voice tapers slightly, subtleties of fondness seeping into his tone. When his eyes move to meet your own once more, your mouth runs dry at the undeniable warmth which swirls within his gaze, the rapid pounding of your heart betraying your thoughts. “I consider meeting and having the privilege of marrying you to be the most priceless of rewards I could have obtained.”
(...Who knew a subtle smile could be so beautiful.)

Settling into your new role as the co-ruler of Kremnos was a far easier transition than you’d anticipated. Despite some initial apprehension at your sudden intrusion into the citizen’s lives and you being from another nation, the reactions you were greeted with upon arrival were well-within your expectations.
Apprehension? Sure. Skepticism? Great. Concern over your abilities? Fantastic! Immediate, wholehearted acceptance with preparations already made for your arrival? Um… Come again?
Yes. Compared to the civilian’s very normal, completely expected doubt and uncertainty about you being thrust into the role of their new co-ruler, the same cannot be said about the palace staff. The moment Mydei helped you out of the carriage, a line of servants were at the ready, lined up with the necessary preparations already made to look after you. Your dumbfoundedness must have been quite obvious for Mydei to take note, squeezing your hand with enough pressure and warmth to anchor you down and fill you with comfort before guiding you through the tunnel of awaiting servants ready to receive his orders.
While a little unnerving the palace staff’s ready acceptance and preparation for your arrival may have been, you cannot deny the flicker of warmth which surges when spotting something that reminds you of home.
That particular fruit you enjoy only found in your homeland? An abundance has been procured with the palace gardener equipped with all the necessities used to grow it, alongside a bed of your favourite assortment of flowers already beginning to show signs of blooming.
There was a certain dessert you enjoyed partaking in? Look no further, for the palace patissier has already mastered all the techniques needed to make it the most delicious version you have ever tasted!
Oh, you’re used to having a certain textile in each of your fabrics and certain colours are more to your preference? Don’t worry, the temporary bedroom used until your wedding is made to your liking, and once the wedding is complete your shared bedroom will have all the necessary arrangements!
Truly, the experience of having practically everything needed for your stay to be comfortable already prepared was an… interesting one, to say the least.
It doesn’t escape you, however, the manner in which everyone is rigid in demeanour and stiff with etiquette when in the presence of Mydei. Ducking their heads to avoid eye contact, tensing their bodies as though afraid one subtle movement will trigger his wrath, rushing away as quickly as possible once given their respective orders.
He doesn’t appear bothered; if anything, matters outside of you and battle don’t seem to move him at all. He merely regards everything as a duty to be carried out, an honour to uphold and see through so long as he bears the weight of his title.
Despite his admitted nonchalance for most matters, you have seen him be expressive on several accounts.
Like that time you were both strolling through the extensive garden holding pleasant conversation about each other’s day, stopping to admire the roses and ready to sing the gardener’s praises, only to catch the smile and unfairly soft expression directed towards you. (Seriously, the difference a smile and relaxed expression can make on his features should be criminal.)
Or the days you choose to visit the training ground and catch the battle-hardened fervour of a warrior which radiate so starkly within his typically stoic demeanour, easily parrying and holding his own against even a large number of his knights rushing to best him, only to hastily avert your eyes when he takes note of your presence and amble his way towards you with a towel in hand. (Well, his torso is practically on full-display all day, but somehow seeing him entirely shirtless after a particularly gruelling training is a little… different.)
Not to mention that one night during your third month in Kremnos wherein an assassin managed to slip through surveillance and sneak into your room, only to be thwarted mere moments before the fatal strike as a sword pierced their torso, their cries of agony quickly silencing and the flecks of warmth clinging to your skin promptly discarded as the deafening hammering of your heart drowned out everything in the vicinity. You weren’t sure how long you were out of it for, but the image of Mydei’s distraught expression and uncharacteristic loss of composure is a sight you’re certain will never leave, much like the rare vulnerability found in his fragile, broken whispers of, “Not again... I thought I’d lost you again. Why must fate be so cruel? Please… Just this once, stay with me until the end.”
(You never really questioned how Mydei caught wind of the attempt or what he meant by his whispered words, too caught up in your near-death experience to properly process anything, but the immeasurable relief upon being embraced within his familiarity was undeniable as you melted into him, allowing him to stay by your side for the night and then the following nights soon after as his attentiveness only grew.)
The time from your first arrival has flown, and now, five months later, the long-awaited wedding is finally being held.
The ceremony itself was nothing too grand. Despite Mydei asking for your thoughts and preferences on how the ceremony should be held, the ideas he’d suggested aligned perfectly with your own preferences: a simple ceremony with the necessary guests in attendance for privacy, a ceremonial carriage ride through the capital to honour the matrimonial bond between you alongside quelling any uncertainties the citizens may have, and to end it all off with a banquet to diminish the doubt brewing from within the nobility of high society.
Thankfully, everything went off without a hitch. Your parents attended the ceremony and greeted you with a tearful embrace upon seeing you in your wedding attire. As it turns out, they will be staying as guests within the palace for about a week, all thanks to Mydei’s preparations. Apparently.
(Upon asking your parents who is taking care of the kingdom’s affairs in their place, you probably should have suspected it to be the trusted, overworked aide who has been by your father’s side since young. Despite his already cushy salary, he should get a raise for having to deal with all this.)
And as you stand here now, chatting idly with some of the knights in attendance who were present in the whole proposal fiasco, you find yourself believing that perhaps your new life here will not be as bad as you feared.
You have to admit, letting loose every now and then is rather rewarding. After all those mental and passive aggressive battles with some of the nobles before eventually gaining their respect and approval (you didn’t have strict heir training just to have nothing to show for it!), you can now relax and let the night pass by. With the knights talking joyfully amongst themselves, you’re sure the night will fly by.
Their topic of conversation shifts constantly, ranging from battle tactics to which is the best amongst savoury, sweet, or spicy to debates about whether that one maid and apprentice chef are secretly dating.
Eventually, the topic of conversation loops back around to your newly sealed marriage; you know, the whole premise for the current celebration. One of the knights, tickled a light pink in the face from the warmth of the venue and the drink half-emptied in hand, turns to you with a jovial grin.
“Y’know, until you came into the picture, I’ve never seen our king so happy and expressive. It’s a nice change.”
Another chimes, “Yeah! I’ve definitely seen him smile a few times when you visit the training grounds! Though he still glares daggers into my soul when we spar…”
“That’s because you suck and His Majesty gets a migraine just from the sight of your sloppy footwork.”
“Wha— hey! You’re the one with a weak swing and can’t even break the training dummy in one strike!”
“I’m telling you the material is tougher on the ones I’m given!”
A breathy laugh escapes you at their back and forth. Sometimes you forget how playful the knights can be outside of their intimidating demeanour, though you suppose their leader is similar in his own right.
Taking a light sip from your drink, the chatter of the knights slowly die down. Just as you’re about to ask if everything is alright, a warmth you have become able to identify looms over your back. It doesn’t take a genius to know why they stopped their bickering.
“What were you all discussing?” Mydei asks, moving to stand beside you with a drink of his own in hand. You weren’t expecting to see him until later, what with how swamped he appeared with greetings and talks of his own.
His knights seemed to have thought the same as you, if their apparent dumbfounded reactions were anything to go by.
“Oh, um, well…”
“We were, uh…”
“We were just chatting like good ole pals, haha…”
Stifling a laugh at their poor attempts, you decide it would be best to give them a helping hand. Mydei’s curious gaze certainly isn’t helping their case.
With an amused sigh you begin, “Nothing much. Just how much they admire and look up to you—”
“We were discussing how your dear spouse thoroughly enjoys the sight of your body at the training grounds!”
A deafening silence.
…You take back every nice thing you said about them. You hope Mydei exchanges all the training dummies except for his own for super-ultra-mega tough ones, just so they can feel the embarrassment you currently do when they are unable to break a mere training dummy.
First off, how did they even know this highly confidential information?! You most certainly were not openly ogling at your now-husband! (At least, you hope you weren’t…)
Second of all, here you were trying to help them save face from all their bickering, and what do you get in return? A loss of your own!
And third of all, that is blatant slander! In front Mydei, their king and commander, and your spouse, no less!
Ha ha. You don't know whether to laugh or cry at this turn of events.
In hopes of salvaging what remains of your thoroughly battered and bruised image, And there it appears, you quickly turn towards Mydei, a myriad of retorts ready to fire on the tip of your tongue. It fizzles out just as quickly as it appears upon what you find yourself gazing at. Though barely noticeable, the lingering remnants of his laughter which spill from that wretched curve of his lips never fails to speed up this traitorous heart of yours. And when his unabashedly amused gaze meets your own mortified one, your mind regains its former desperation.
Before you can think up a retort in a last-ditch effort to save face, he swiftly leans into your ear and whispers, “I would like to hear more about this. Perhaps you can enlighten me when we return to our quarters later.”
…Nevermind. Perhaps it is Mydei who should be getting the super-ultra-mega tough training dummy so he can taste humiliation for the first time in his life.
(However, despite the horrendously dizzying flush you are currently victim to, if it meant seeing his warm gaze and heart-melting smile more often then, perhaps, you wouldn’t mind embarrassing yourself in front of him every now and then.)
(Not too often, of course. That would be too much.)

if you enjoyed this, reblogs and/or comments are greatly appreciated <33
trivia !!
wanted to add this section in case some might be wondering why i went with the timeloop trope yet again (if u did not figure that out from the bits and pieces throughout the fic + mainly the assassination attempt scene then, um, oops. haha.) BUT !! i actually decided to do a spin of his lore for it.
so in his drip market post, it says:
Kremnos, swallowed by mist! City riven between chaos and war! The blood of patricide flows through its royal line, and its god bears the title of calamity.
The undying Mydeimos, the lion apart from the rest. O Chrysos Heir that seeks the Coreflame of Strife, you must suffer a thousand deaths, be bathed in blood on the path home, and bear the madness of fate alone, for one was must slay a god to become one. Iron-hooves pound across the wilderness for the campaign, and must eventually soak in the blood of their homeland.
and mydei is also known by the following aliases "the last prince" and "the undying". now all of this info is more than likely referring to his ability to survive torturous pain, as opposed to dying and and resurrecting a thousand times (or maybe i am right... who knows...), but my first thoughts went to how he had the ability to come back to a certain point in this past after the so-called fate drove him to madness which he alone must bear.
in this context, i wanted for him to be a king who suffered a thousand deaths, but lived through a thousand lives of the same never-ending fate, doomed to watch the fall and bear the madness and watch as you in each and every lifetime suffer at the hands of a fate he cannot save you from. and that is why he marries you because he knows you even if you do not know him and will always choose to lead the same path if it means he has you by his side once more.
...does this make sense? maybe it does, maybe it does not, but what matters is it made sense to me ;w;
oops got a little carried away there with lore and theories um !! haha !! anywho that is enough from me ,,, if u read this trivia then hi !! ty for sitting through and reading my deep dive into the crumbs of lore and how i put my own spin on it :'D
#honkai star rail x reader#hsr x reader#mydei x reader#honkai star rail x you#hsr x you#mydei x you#i need him. carnally. gnaws on his arm and bare torso like sir who are u showing all that for? (me.)#no but seriously. how did this get so long.#i really thought phainon would be the first amphoreus man i would write for but ofc mydei overtakes him with the drip ....#is this happening bc i liked kalpas before i liked kevin........

Thunder grumbled as a flash of lighting struck through the dark blanket of twilight skies. The rumbling sound angrily resonated through the stretch of clouds as if the heavens were to wash away human sins that have long been plaguing this era of the 21st century. A shower of rain soon followed that started in huge droplets and later cascaded from the slate gray clouds like waterfall.
Checking your old leather watch, it was only 6PM. It had been two hours since the power outage doomed the whole neighborhood because the utility poles were severely damaged after the hurricane ravaged the city yesterday.
The thick soles of your boots landed heavily on the tessellated sidewalk with every step, holding your umbrella closer to seal you from the heavy rainfall. Your eyes followed the beads of rain that bounced off the cold cement as your mind wandered further than where your body could take you to.
You had left Sylus sleeping in bed back in your shared apartment so you could walk around the city and drop by the church. It wasn’t like you sneaked out, but was only reluctant to let him know of your whereabouts because you didn’t want him to follow you around, especially to such a scared place like church. Before you left, however, you did ensure that his silver cross was still enclosed around his collar just for your sanity.
It had been a while since you last visited the church. With the power out and nothing else to do, you decided it was the perfect time to visit the cathedral where you always made your most solemn prayers.
The streets were still in shambles, though. Road signages were sprawled on the sidewalk, branches were barely hanging off the trees—the city had vestiges of wreckage from the hurricane that emptied a usually busy metropolitan area today. Most people were still at the leisure of their homes as work and classes have been suspended until further notice, for everyone’s safety and to allow the government to clean the roads.
You could already imagine Sylus shaking his head at your resistance to just stay indoors and simply be with him. The only reason you were confident to leave his side today was because it had been awhile since the last incident. You could live with the thought of coming back home to Sylus and his usual self. Sylus, who was always thoughtful and tenderhearted albeit his dominant exterior. Never did you think that you could land a man of such warmth—a year in two days—but how you met was a story made for another day.
Amidst the already dismal atmosphere outside, stepping by the narthex inside the baroque church greeted you with an even more caliginous surrounding. Darkness enshrouded the interiors of your chosen place of worship with only as much as three paschal torches by the apse to light up the altar. Still, with God’s presence, your feet carried you in slow footsteps along the velvet red aisle as you made your way towards the nave.
You were alone in the eerie cathedral, but fear did not consume as you were in attendance to the crucifix above the high altar. This was your favorite cathedral among all the others in the city simply because of its gothic Victorian architecture.
Fixed with the cathedral’s grandeur and bedight with ornate decorations, you became more comfortable at situating yourself by the pew—genuflecting on the elevated wood behind the stretch of oak benches as soon as you found your usual spot.
“In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” you whispered in sotto voce, performing a sign of the cross with your eyes glued to the crucifix that represented Jesus Christ. You had your elbows propped atop the bench as you silently prayed.
Loving and gracious God, with all love and mercy, we thank you for blessing us with another day and protecting us in times of natural disaster.
You wanted to ignore the unusual cold air that slithered on your skin in horripilation. Your prayer resumed despite the Stygian gloom that darkened the cathedral’s interior or the sound of the harsh wind slamming through the towering doors by the vestibule. The storm is coming again, you mentally noted.
With your grace and kindness, Lord, I pray that you will continue to guide us—
The manly fleer echoing through the vacantness of the church made you halt from your recital. “I knew my cute church girl would be here.”
You knew that devilish voice all too well that it had you shutting your eyes, petrified. No wonder the air felt sinister. But if your gut-feeling about him was right, then there was no need to be frightened. “Sylus, I’m in the middle of a prayer,” you hushed, although before you could turn around to face his silhouette, he had already transported to your side with a wicked smile plastered on his pallid face.
“I’m not him,” he spoke in an orotund voice, stepping closer and closer. His ash blond hair did not hide his incarnadine eyes. “Stop looking for that runt when you’re with me.”
You stepped out of the pew with a rapid heartbeat, standing by the aisle as the tall man towered over you. “S-Sylus, where’s your—” you searched for his silver cross and found it still hanging around his neck, “did you break it?”
He glowered at your accusation. “You know I would if I could, sweetie.”
You exhaled a deep sigh. This was not Sylus, this was the malevolent demon inside of him. You ought to be cautious of yourself. “Okay, well... Leave me alone. I’m praying.”
“Ordering me around?” Each step that he took reverberated across the cathedral. He stretched his head from side-to-side in a manner that showed his ennui. “Don’t you miss me, kitten?”
There was no stopping to the loud thumping of your heart as you stood along the aisle with Sylus backing you off further to the center. “Sylus, I said not now,” you begged, but he refused to listen and only wiped his lower lip with his thumb.
“I hate it when you make me wait,” he muttered, stepping forward until your lower back hit the credence table at the altar. You found yourself trapped in a decreasing distance between yourself and the sadistic devil in front of you. “Don’t look so scared. We do this every time.”
“I’m not scared, but...” Your voice was getting softer, yet filled with fret. You pressed a hand on his chest as he locked your body with both arms around the table. “Please, not here.”
You had to be firm, you just had to be but you couldn’t muster the courage to fight back in Sylus’s presence. He was the embodiment of power and you were the representation of weakness.
He was a demon that thrived on sin, and he drew strength from indulging in the seven deadly sins. Vainglory, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth—all of those fueled his existence. Today, however, it was the third sin that consumed him, the one that ignited his darkest sexual desires.
“I’ll be quick,” he bargained, undoing the upper buttons of your dress despite your failed attempts at pushing him away. Doing it at such a place! You sent him a glare but he only returned a sly smile. “How about we show your God what you’re really like underneath that maidenly exterior, hm? Show him how dirty you really are?”
God, help me. You desperately shook your head, now overthinking if someone could see what he was about to do to you in this holy sanctuary. Long before you could cover your chest, he already pinned your wrist on the side as he lowered the fabric to show your collar. “Sylus—!”
“Don’t be shy, kitten,” the whisper he sent through the shell of your ear caused shivers to your spine. With his heightened senses, he placed his mouth on your ear, “No one’s here to watch us except for your God. Be a good girl now.”
You tried to push him once more to no avail as he sucked on the flesh above your shoulder. There was no warning to prepare you from the sudden harsh suction. “I-It hurts!”
Your nails dug into your palms to leave crescent marks on your flesh while you were squirming out of his strict hold.
“It hurts? Good.” He continued to leave marks all over your flesh as he caged your waist around his arm. The feeling of his teeth pricking your skin had you whimpering in pain, and his eyes had grown rutilant when he momentarily pulled away to look at you. “You’ll hurt even more,” and then he erupted into a deep chuckle as if you were a meal that he was seasoning with a sprinkle of fear, “I should really just keep you for myself.”
Your desire to breathe grew exponentially. “I’m not yours.”
A low sneer and a dissatisfied ego had you pressed against the oak table in surprise. “Yes, you are,” he reiterated as though he was enforcing the idea in your head. “Your soul, your heart, your body—you are mine.”
“I’m not! I wasn’t born in this world to be your property,” you protested, pulling away from his grip only to be slammed harsher on the table. You knew you should never anger a demon but his possessive nature irked you. Aside from your already shameful situation, you wanted nothing but to get away from him. “You’re evil.”
“What makes you so brave? Your beliefs?” he gritted, reaching for an object near your head that turned out to be the Bible. “This?” he quickly opened the sacred handbook and ripped the pages in front of your very eyes with a distasteful smile. How easily he ripped it, how easily he also tossed it. “Whatever, then. There’s no God. You humans are complete idiots for worshiping a nonexistent being. Weren’t you the ones saying that I’d burn as soon as I stepped into a church?”
“He is your father!” You sat back up, revolted by his blasphemy. He had no right to mock God like this. “Don’t taint my beliefs with yours. My faith in Him is stronger than you think.”
“You should know what it’s like to be in hell before you say that shit,” he retorted, placing his lips back on your ear, “I’ll take you there with me.”
This is not the time and place! What a shameful situation he was putting you through, so unbelievably shameful and obscene that you couldn’t look at him in the eyes. “Sylus, I swear. I’m going home if you’re gonna keep on—”
He huffed, showing boredom by dismissing you with a wave of his hand. “Ah, fine. You’re boring. Continue the prayer, then.”
For one of two things; first, Sylus would never let you off easily. Every act of defiance would garner you a punishment. Second, he was a time bomb. You never knew when his most cruel intentions would come to show. He was a malefic being that wouldn’t give two shits about where he was as long as he was having fun at torturing your soul.
You should have known that when you chose to finish your prayer back at the pew. Sylus would simply not last long enough to just sit by your side in his apathy.
“Holy Father, please forgive us for our sins—”
He snorted in ill-humor. “Pitiful.”
And while you sat there looking up at the crucifix, Sylus’s hand was already sneaking its way under your skirt. His icy fingers traced your inner thighs until he reached your center, and that was when you finally grabbed his wrist to stop him with wide, scandalized eyes. Was anyone on the qui vive to see you right now?
“Sylus, for heaven’s sake,” you hissed, pulling his wrist away but his slender fingers were already coordinating motions against your clothed core. You had to look around in panic lest there be any unknown audience peeking from the shadows. Despite your refusal to submit, the contact was eliciting suppressed moans out of your parted lips. “Y-You’re insane. This isn’t the place.”
His smile was full of triumph and excitement, his right eye glowing ominously he spoke. “What makes it different?” he asked, raising your skirt and inserting his fingers inside your underwear. You had to press your lips together as soon as he started rubbing his fingers on your clit. “See, you enjoy the fuck out of it. I can see through your deepest desires, kitten. It’s telling me… ‘don’t stop’.”
Your palm was pressed on his chest while his other hand tried to spread your legs open. The very position you were in—leaned on the wooden bench, legs spread apart, and being fingered in the presence of God—you were certainly going to hell. This was going against your belief, having your chastity corrupted in arrant disgrace by a man who was the devil himself.
How exactly did you find yourself in this predicament? You came here to offer a quick prayer, not to be pressed on the bench by a man who was now unbuckling his belt in haste. You could only think of how Sylus, who was an angel beyond his demons, was perhaps trying to come out of being trapped in the dungeon where Satan had him caged.
“This is so wrong,” your lips quivered as you spoke, both of the curling of your toes and of the shameless sacrilegious act. You knew you couldn’t stop this no matter how hard you tried because Sylus would remain tenacious until he got what he wanted.
With that, you fully submitted yourself to him and let the back of your head rest on the wooden surface while you stared at the stained glass that roofed the cathedral in different hues.
Sylus was fast to display a smirk while positioning his hardened length on your entrance. The bands of your underwear were now resting mid-thigh as he pressed himself down on you with one knee supporting the angle of his hips. He was running his throbbing tip between your plump folds to lubricate himself with your slick. No screams could be released because you restrained your own whimpers, but your tears brimmed on the corner of your eyes from the initial penetration.
“Ngh!” Your nails dug deep on his forearms. “S-Sylus!”
“Are you crying?” His carmine eyes glinted of sadistic humor, running his gelid thumb across your lower lip only to sink it deep inside your mouth. “How does it feel knowing that the God you worship can’t save you?”
A tear slid down from your eyes to your temple as Sylus started moving his hips in an achingly slow rhythm, each thrust going deeper than the last. You almost bit his thumb before he released your mouth by gripping your wrist. “Sylus—someone could see—!”
To your irony, the crucifix stared down at you and enkindled your conscience from this sinful act. Father, forgive me. You could only whisper those words in your head because your mouth was too occupied in crying out Sylus’s name.
“So warm.” It was hard not to think of how attracted he looked when he raked his fingers through his hair, later meeting your eyes with overpowering lust. He didn’t hold back at burying his cock into your cavern, allowing your walls to fit his girth like tight gloves—the feeling garnering his raspy grunt. “You’re mine, sweetie. All mine.”
Sylus. You blinked your tears away as you closed your eyes. Sylus’s lips were now on your neck as he increased the pace of his member sliding in and out of your cunt with squelching noises that shamelessly echoed across the cathedral. “Sylus,” your lips were on his ear, “we’re in—aah—church.”
Unlike you, he was nonchalant about the sacredness of the house of God. He was mocking the supreme being that you held faith to as an act of engraving his existence into your mortal soul. While you restrained your moans as he slammed his pelvis against your hole, there was fulfillment rattling in his bones when he pressed your face to the side before diving in to suck on your sweet flesh.
“Cry more. Did you know your walls get warmer when you’re aroused?”
It was hard to describe the feeling. The median between pain and pleasure was the closest example you could liken it to. The grazing of his fangs added to the burning sensation that you had all over your body as if fire was ignited to light up all your nerves.
Your hand latched onto his shirt before his body collapsed on top of you. With your legs spread wide, his head hung low on your neck—still and unmoving, strangely like he had fallen asleep.
“Sylus.” You tapped his arm through the heavy rise and fall of your chest.
And before you could move away, he shot straight up and looked at you with those foxy incarnadine eyes that were now in the shade of deep crimson. Eyes that were wide and full of horror as he looked around the cathedral before he slowly realized what he had just done.
“Y/N,” he said your name regretfully, pulling your dress down to cover your exposed parts, “I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, I did this—? I don’t—”
Long dried were the tears on your cheek. As you two scrambled to fix your clothes, you pulled him into a hug while he murmured endless sorry’s to your ear. At least, for now he was back. That was the most important thing with all the sanity you had left.
“Just get me out of here, Sy,” you said, back into the arms of your human lover.
~~
You’ve always wondered why Sylus often slept during the day. Or why his normal heartbeat was at the pace of someone who was having a heart attack. Or why he could get serious wounds but managed to heal himself fast. Sometimes he would disappear from your sight and transport himself into another. Sometimes he would see and hear things a thousand times clearer than any other person could.
For almost a year of dating, these questions only came up to you without much of an answer. You thought that you were simply theorizing over things that you shouldn’t. Why does Sylus always wear that cross around his neck? At the back of your head, you were always intrigued.
You didn’t find out about the real reason until two months ago when you finally met ‘Lucifer’ out of nowhere. If Sylus was Jekyll, Lucifer was his Hyde. It was his way to allow you to form a dissociation between the two beings in one body.
You never believed in devils until Sylus showed his demonic face to you one night while you were supposedly peacefully sleeping. You recalled the screams that you released when you found out that Sylus was the fallen angel all along. That the rosary around his neck was meant to seal his dark side, the side that you still didn’t know much of. Up until this day, he didn’t provide a concrete answer as to why he needed to seal himself. He was taciturn about the topic of his other self despite you bringing it up every now and then.
But because you loved him, trusted him, and believed him when he said that he didn’t plan to hurt you—you stayed. You knew his human side better than the monster within him, so you told yourself that you could stay for him. You just needed to learn more about him.
There were still moments where you felt cautious around him, but when you looked to see his softened expression, you were comfortable at seeing the Sylus that you knew.
“Y/N,” he broke the silence that lingered between you two as you walked around the city, “I’m sorry.”
You tugged at his hand in reassurance. “It’s okay, I just...” As flashbacks of the earlier events returned to your head, you felt ashamed at having done such dirty deeds at a holy place. “He always gets what he wants.”
Because you let him.
“I can’t do anything when I’m trapped,” Sylus mumbled, keeping up with your footsteps as you strode along the street.
Your curiosity bubbled from his statement. “What happens when he’s taking over?”
This time, Sylus didn’t shy away from giving an answer while he interlaced his hand with yours. “I can hear everything, but I can’t feel or see. It’s all black, like I’m in a dark void.”
“Like comatose?”
“You could say that.”
How could a rosary seal his other self? How come he had two versions of him?
“He’s obsessed with you,” he admitted, frowning at the thought as you passed rows and rows of boutiques and restaurants. “Your soul, your scent, your body. That’s probably why he always has the urge to come out.”
The thought of it permeated heat on your cheeks even when it shouldn’t. Sylus had always been sweet and loving with his intimacy with you, but his other side was rough and sadistic. He liked tormenting your innocence with his immorality.
“You said the rosary was meant to seal him, but how come he keeps on—”
“It doesn’t work these days. Only my father can help, but I don’t wanna go that far just to tell him about this.”
Father. It was the first time he had ever spoken about his father in your twelve months together. Or did he mean father as in God? “Where’s your father, Sylus? Or the rest of your family? Are the other archangels roaming on Earth, too?”
You could see it in his saintly face that he was about to give an answer and you anticipated it, not until the nearby catcalling distracted you two.
“Nice legs, gorgeous,” whistled the man who was leaning by the street railings with a cigarette in his hand. The man was probably in his mid-40’s with disheveled hair and unshaved face. You sent him a glare but a crude wink was returned.
“It’s a bit rude to ogle at my woman in front of me, don’t you think?” was Sylus’s warning, the tendrils of his black-red mist extending to surround the man.
You could hear the man hooting again, unaware of what would become of him. “Ha ha! You punk. I’d spread those legs in a heartbeat.”
While Sylus’s eyes were deepening into a darker hue, you knew you couldn’t risk seeing him release his demonic side again. It was a dangerous gamble. And the city could become a bloodbath. So, in your insistence, you told your lover to just leave it be.
“Sylus, let it go,” you gently asked, tugging at his arm softly. You wanted to avoid confrontation and just continue walking with you until you could reach your destination. “It’s okay.”
~~
“Happy anniversary to my favorite couple!”
The clinking of glasses was followed by cheers on the booth where your boyfriend and your friends sat together. It was Avery’s idea to celebrate the special day two days prior as an excuse to hang out and drink. Luke and Kieran, being Sylus’s minions, were very much willing to join.
“It’s not until Wednesday,” Sylus corrected with a smile, sipping on his pint before putting an arm around you. He gestured towards Avery and Luke with a knowing look. “Now you two should date each other.”
You giggled at the thought. “Yeah, I totally support that.”
Instead, the two of them reacted heavily against it—faking a gag, making a face, name it all. They were adamant on showing how disgusted they were at the thought of dating each other and it was quite a hilarious sight to watch.
“Boss, come on,” Luke replied in outward distaste.
Avery, on one hand, was rolling her eyes. “You wish I was interested. I’d rather do Kieran than you.”
Kieran was Luke’s twin, the less obnoxious and more empathic one. But when those two were combined, their level of mischief wasn’t really any different from each other.
“Picking Kieran is the most insulting thing you can say to me,” huffed Luke, earning yours and Avery’s chuckle.
After an exchange of playful banter and teasing remarks, the conversation was redirected back to you and Sylus as Avery curiously brought up how you first met your boyfriend. It was only a year ago and the memory was still vivid in your head.
“Oh my God. I remember how Y/N first saw you at this auction,” she gushed towards your boyfriend while you blushed, gripping his arm closer, “and she’s acting like she just saw her soulmate.”
Kieran decided to chime in, “Boss was looking at her too, though. He may look tough, but he’s a hopeless romantic deep down—”
“Enough,” Sylus warned before sipping on his glass.
You rested your head on his shoulder and relaxed against him. “Next thing you guys know, we’re living together.”
Frankly, everything was normal until Sylus showed up.
“What do you like most about her, Sylus?” Avery egged on with a grin spreading on her face.
Your boyfriend didn’t even take a second to answer, “She’s cute like a cat,” he said, caressing your hand with his thumb from under the table, “and smart, and caring. Can get spicy, too. It won’t end.”
Sylus was the same, if not better. You didn’t have much experience when it came to dating, but you were surely on top of the luck department for being blessed with a man like him. He was the most protective person you knew, the most affectionate, the most thoughtful. Sylus was the moon that illuminated your dark nights. You could even remember how he would wait outside of your workplace to pick you up in his motorcycle—those were the little things that lasted for a lifetime in someone’s memory.
“She’s also a nun.”
The sudden panic in your eyes came simultaneous to the fast beating of your heart. You swiftly whipped your head to look at Sylus who was now displaying a deriding smirk across his pale face. Oh, were you doomed. The ruby eyes and the stony face was clear confirmation that the demon had taken over him. Twice in the same day.
Even Avery was surprised by his word of choice, but nonetheless found it amusing as it was rare for them to see Sylus acting bold. You were grateful for her obliviousness because you didn’t know how else you could explain the situation at hand.
“She’s a what, boss-man?” Luke jeered, chugging on his pint and looking at his boss in his newfound entertainment. He was among the very few people that knew Sylus’s true nature. Because the twins were demons like him.
“A nun,” Sylus answered, sending a look of mischief your way. You were deeply panicking that you had to squeeze his hand in hopes of stopping him from showing his true colors. “What? Don’t be shy, kitten. Didn’t we have fun in that church?”
You quickly shook your head and denied it in front of your friends. “We didn’t. Don’t believe him.”
Avery was unbelievably taken aback. “Wow,” she held back a chuckle, “I didn’t know Sylus has a vulgar mouth.”
~~
The night carried on while the downpour engulfed the streets heavily. Your desperation to leave the dinner earlier than intended was solely because you weren’t comfortable at having Sylus around other people. The man was clearly enjoying the embarrassment that he was putting you through. And you, you were only being cautious. Who knew what things he could do to Avery while in his other form?
You didn’t want things to end up where Sylus would be ostracized by the people who knew him just because they couldn’t understand that he was completely harmless in his benevolent self.
It took a lot of effort to finally make an excuse of getting home early while the skies have temporarily calmed down. However, as you two strolled across the street, Sylus wouldn’t stop blabbering on and on about how you should have stayed more to talk about how prudish you were.
“I’m not in the mood right now,” you spoke in a detached voice, moving away from him as you walked together. Because you ruined it, you wanted to add. The cold breeze kissed your face through the dark.
Sylus only moved closer to you. “You shouldn’t be so uptight,” he countered, “Is that how kittens should act? Or do I punish you back at home?”
Punishments. You didn’t wish to go through another round of his ‘punishments’ because you weren’t certain at how creative he could be at delivering them. There was no doubt that a man who traversed the ages would have seen enough torture devices used during the earlier times. Perhaps he could get inspiration from those.
“I just wanna go home,” you muttered, almost inaudibly had his heightened hearing senses not worked.
“Good, then I can have fun with y—” Sylus halted from his words as his face froze at the sight in front of him. His body had completely gone stiff and his jaws were clenched. You would have thought that he was angry until that evil upturn of his lips came to show.
“Sylus...”
Following his sight, he was all eyes on a man from a distance before he dashed towards the stranger, leaving you utterly stupefied from where you stood. What’s he on about? You rushed as your heels landed in lightweight steps across the sidewalk while you watched in terror how Sylus mercilessly throttled the man by the neck and dragged him into a dark alleyway.
“Sylus, stop!”
As you reached him with a panting breath, you realized that the man he was holding high up against the wall was the same person that catcalled you earlier. The man was wriggling away from Sylus’s tight grip, only to be asphyxiated harsher than before.
“Wh-What’s your problem?” The man struggled to breathe due to the strangulation and you were pulling Sylus’s other arm to stop him.
At the sight of Sylus’s crimson eyes and vicious stance, you knew there was nothing much you could do to prevent harm. He was determined to do what he wanted without paying attention to his surroundings.
“You’re fantasizing her, huh?” Sylus taunted with a sinister undertone in his words. “You wanna spread ‘em open?”
Recalling the very words he spoke, the man saw you with frantic eyes as his face was reddening from the lack of oxygen. With a rushed shake of the head and a face that was begging for sympathy, he tried to break free. “N-No, no. She’s—haaa! She’s all yours.”
“Sylus, stop it.” You grabbed his arms and attempted your best to pull him away despite the trepidation that caused you goosebumps. “Please stop, you’re gonna kill him.”
Every time you saw this demonic creature, you were learning new things about him and most of those things were of the worst kind. Not only was he possessive—he was diabolical, potentially obsessive, and a cutthroat sadist who wouldn’t even blink before ending someone’s life. This was the true nature of a demon, not some silly fantasy that today’s pop-culture portrayed them to be.
He was a body without a soul.
Unfortunately, you should have thought twice before choosing to get involved with him.
“That’s my plan, sweetie.”

god your yandere smc lives rent free in my head i wanna punch him, kick him in the shin and then give him a lil kiss
also if you're feeling up for it and your requests are open, would you mind writing some headcanons about yandere smc w/ a reader who is defiant but not really in the "kicking, yelling, screaming" way but in the "i will do my best to make your life miserable and inconvenience you as much as possible " (think refusing to talk or engage, entertaining herself in isolation, snarky backtalk; very much "cat making eye contact with you while pushing a glass off the table" energy, defiant yet still subdued)
bonus points if the reader is usually an affectionate person and continues to be like that w/ candy apple (hugs her/pats her head, speaks nicely and sweetly to her, treats her like a lil sis/daughter)
thank you so much for your time!! your writing is amazing!!
a/n: i'm flattered! and please do feel free to do so, anon... he more than deserves it with how he's been treating the reader in my fics.

𖦁 oh, he would adore your defiance! shadow milk cookie loves games, and he would view your defiance as such and daresay, it certainly has became his favorite game, even taking over the throne of his most beloved hobby of breaking cookies apart and observing them falling down the never-ending rabbit hole from illusions.
𖦁 your distant attitude towards him wouldn't faze him whatsoever either, and if anything, his lovesickness would delude himself into thinking it was a natural reaction of yours from being in love; oh, you're not listening? oh, that is no biggie for him! he'll simply blabber your ears off, isolating yourself? has his dear forgotten? he is an omniscient presence within earthbread and his kingdom, there is no way to flee from him, he'll just trail along behind you! being a petulant thing against him? oh, that's adorable! surely, you jest! breaking one his precious gifts he spent his time on solely for you? oh, silly little you! how clumsy you are! being such a nice lover, he'll put it back together! you didn't mean to break that, don't you? you didn't, right? he'd break your arms. regardless of how you much you pay no heed to his presence, he is an everlasting existence and will forever be right beside you! there is no escaping him and his sight, it is just as fate concluded, after all!
𖦁 candy apple cookie—although, you treat her nicely—doesn't mean you're still exempted from her trickery: for her undying loyalty to shadow milk cookie overshadows anything to her; she'd allow you to braid her hair, all the while inquiring you why you loathe shadow milk cookie when he's just protecting you from the cookies outside, in love even! in that sickenly sweet tone of hers dripping with deceit. she'd even ask you to come with her for something she proclaimed was in dire need of help for only to lead you to back to shadow milk cookie with a cheerful face, giddily probbing shadow milk cookie if she did good.
𖦁 to shadow milk cookie, your defiance is none but a mere game to him, however, the moment you went against him and betrayed him by helping pure vanilla cookie within his spire? oh, that is when he actually takes your advances seriously. why are /you/ helping that pesky little thief? can't you comprehend that he's punishing him for taking what was his? don't tell him that you fell for that querulous cookie's lies? yes, surely, pure vanilla cookie did something to you that turned you against him, truly! what a fiend, stealing his soul jam and then you? oh, he is gonna crumble him into pieces! he vows on the witches the moment he's done with him he would be beyond recognization. you, on the other hand, unmistakably needed some tweaking—yes, he'd need to find a way for you to not do that again, surely, his sweet dear wouldn't mind being confined, would they?

a/n: extremely short compared to my other works but i do hope its fine.

KINGDOM HEARTS [ daisuke / reader ]

sneaking contraband on the tulpar was totally worth it, especially when you got to share it with the person you’ve been pining for.
tags / pre-crash | reader & daisuke are the same age & she is also swansea’s intern (original i know). | not connected to the past daisuke fics | heavy mentions of weed but more specifically weed pens. i know it’s not accurate to the timeline nor the job, but if you’re looking for complete accuracy in a smutfic i don’t know what to tell you | weed sex | sloppy oral sex | fingering | daisuke is heavily ooc. this is done purposely given he’s literally smoking. if that’s an issue i’m sorry | soft-dom daisuke | hes very mouthy & kind of desperate | mutual pining | coworkers to more?.. | unrealistic descriptions of weed & sex | etc
notes / given it was mentioned daisuke liked to party back home (and also drink) i thought him smoking was right up his alley. also i feel like with weed or alcohol he definitely isn’t as insecure? idk how to word it but yeah that was my thought process. as always please excuse any typos & grammar mistakes
You never thought you would be ontop of a freighter, dedicating time to listening to some old man drone about machinery whilst in the middle of space. But alas, here you were; inside a ship known as the Tulpar, under the watchful gaze of Pony Express. You should be thankful, not everyone has the same opportunities as you. Back home, you could name quite a few people that would kill for your position.
You couldn’t resist your reluctance, though. Leaving everything behind for several months was more stressful than people believed. A constant routine, consistently having to be proper given this wasn’t home— it was work. Not having your usual comforts of tv, the outside, hell even your vibrator.
At least you remembered the most important thing of all— your weed pen.
It wasn’t a hard task, as you were given the most natural hiding place above the waist; and you were able to sneak extra cartridges between your clothes. A full-proof plan, really. The only issue was finding places to smoke it.
You couldn’t always hole up in your room, duties called after all. So usually you took a few hits in the bathroom, using the excuse of steam to mask the smoke. Or other times you would take a quick hit when the living room was free; the blown up screen a perfect trance for your little high.
No one seemed the wiser, not even your fellow intern; Daisuke, someone you’ve grown to enjoy being around. Despite being the same age you simply weren’t so sure he would be into that type of thing. He looked far too.. innocent. Surely an annoying term to use for a grown man, but still— what else could you say?
Like any other day it was packed with chores, tasks stacking on-top of each other with no end in sight. You tried to be as friendly as possible, but with your secret craving and exhaustion playing at the back of your mind you were sure you came off a little snappy at times.
You would apologize later, possibly blaming it on the stuffy feeling of the ship or worse — your period.
Either way, much to your pleasure, the day had ended; leaving you in the comfort of your bedroom. Sitting on-top of the plush sheets you leaned over to sift through your nightstand, fingers soon coming into contact with a slender, metallic piece. You rose, bringing your pen with you and looking at the contraption with such love.
Your last piece of sanity. As dramatic as it seemed.
Routinely you brought the mouthpiece to your lips, forming around it and taking a slow hit whilst your thumb pressed against the button. Pulling it away, you allowed the smoke to sit— eyes closing to really take it in.
So focused on your relaxation you hadn’t even realized footsteps were approaching your bedroom until it was too late.
“Hey [Name] you wanna play this board game? Anya do—“ The door was opening before you could even respond, causing panic to rush towards your chest. In the midst you began to cough, throat straining as ugly wails escaped; struggling to catch your breath.
Through a blurry gaze, your eyes landed on the culprit of your chaos; spotting Daisuke glancing at you oddly for a moment.
“Are you uh… Do I smell weed?”
“No!”
You managed to let out, followed by wet gasps. Very, very convincing. Your attention turned to the water bottle on-top of your nightstand, snatching it quickly and taking a swig. The cool liquid soothed your throat just a bit, allowing you to relax from the attack.
Slowly you calmed down, taking a deep breath and releasing; all under the gaze of Daisuke, who sported a small grin.
“I know what weed smells like [Name]. And how weed coughs sound.”
You slowly set your water bottle back down, eyes taking the other in with a harsh squint. For a moment the two of you stared at each other silently before you sucked your teeth, letting out a whisper-yell of close the door!
Daisuke was quick to listen, shutting the door closed and crossing your bedroom in record time. He found a spot on the edge of your bed, watching in awe as you pulled a thin device from underneath your sheets. He giggled gently, as if already riding the cloud; leaning his head onto his shoulder.
“How did you even sneak that in?”
“I have my ways Daisuke.” You winked, attention turning to your beloved weed pen. It was a simple white color with a pink rim around the actual button. Small but deadly, given the amount that was inside the device. Plus it didn’t help you had switched cartridges recently.
Your focus then turned to the man, “Wanna hit?”
Daisuke’s eyebrows rose, a nervous laugh escaping him before nodding.
“Hell yeah.”
He leaned over, grasping the pen from your fingers delicately and glancing at it. The intern spun it between his fingers for a moment, gaze turning back to you the moment you spoke;
“You know how to take it, right? Don’t waste my weed.”
“Watch..,” Daisuke brought the piece up to his mouth, lips wrapping around it gently as his thumb pressed against the circular button. With ease he was breathing it in, pulling the pen back— holding the smoke for a moment, before releasing it.
“..— See? I know what I’m doing.”
He certainly does.. You thought to yourself, suddenly growing a bit hot. You sat up, legs crossing as you reached for your pen.
“I’m impressed, didn’t take you for a smoker.”
Daisuke shrugged, a lazy smile on his face as he laid across your bed. His elbow dug into the plush mattress, a soft cheek resting to his palm.
“I only did it recreationally, at parties and stuff.”
You hummed in response, slightly entertained by the reveal of such information. Daisuke had subtly mentioned before his activities but you didn’t always believe him. He just didn’t seem like the type. More like a little fawn desperate to gain the approval of his superior, not some party animal. But, looks were deceiving after all.
Especially when said fawn was hitting your pen way better than you did.
You pressed your lips to the pen, tapping it there for a moment before a question crept from your throat;
“You know any tricks?”
Daisuke pursed his lips a bit, slowly shaking his head. You were quick to smile, bringing your finger up.
“I know this one, watch.”
With that you were taking a hit, bringing the pen down to your lap. Daisuke focused on you, watching intently as you.. mouthed? He hadn’t a clue what you were attempting to do, nor was he sure you did either— given you suddenly pushed the smoke from your mouth, quick coughs escaping you.
The man was quick to laugh, grinning ear to ear as a flush of red spread across tanned skin. You struggled for breath, little tears threatening to spill as you held your finger back up.
“I got it, I got it!”
You were desperate to show off, even if it risked getting far too high. You lifted the pen back up, taking another strong hit before dropping it back to your lap. You started off strong, breathing the smoke in— struggling not to giggle when you heard Daisuke small sounds of encouragement.
Yet as strong as you started you failed all the same, doubling over to cough into your blankets; cheeks hot the moment you noticed Daisuke practically falling off your bed with laughter.
“How were you worried about me wasting it?”
“Shut up!” You huffed, though snorting. You could nearly curse yourself for not sharing your little secret sooner. As much as smoking was a delight, it was even better doing it with someone else. Especially someone as fun as Daisuke.
You slowly rose from your position, taking deep breaths to relax as you glanced at the man who was currently doing the same.
“Okay, so.. I don’t know a trick.”
Daisuke gave a really? expression, quickly raising his hands when you tossed a pillow in his direction. Pulling the plush item down to his lap with a playful huff, the man watched as you lifted the pen again.
“But.. I do know this one thing.”
“Yeah? What’s that?”
You gave a playful smile, “Shotgunning. You know, passing smoke back and forth.”
His shoulders seemed to straighten, sitting up tall and laying his hands onto the pillow in his lap. An unreadable expression crossed his features, hands crossing to allow his fingers to glide across his silver rings.
“I know what that is.”
Your eyebrow rose, though silently taking in the information. Whether a buzz of jealousy or excitement trickled down your spine, you will never known; as it was quickly washed away with warmth. One such sensation that collected at the pit of your stomach the moment Daisuke reached over for the pen.
“It’ll be better if I do it first.”
The man softly explained, to your puzzled expression. You slowly nodded in turn, watching as he brought the pen to his mouth. A single moment passed before he even took a hit, maybe allowing you time to back out. But you didn’t, watching intently as the man sucked in the smoke— eyes flicking to you with slightly puffed cheeks.
That was your cue. You shuffled from your spot at the head of your bed, coming close enough that your knees were practically touching. You pressed down on the bed to steady yourself, lips parting carefully. Daisuke drew closer, just a breaths away, yet lips not touching. His eyes glanced from your own to your lips, a soft grumble of disapproval rolling at the back of his throat.
Before you could think you felt his fingers tracing your chin, a thumb pressing against the space.
“Like this..” He said rather tight lipped, widening your mouth carefully. Once satisfied Daisuke blew the smoke from his mouth to your own, watching as the white cloud rolled in flowing tendrils, filling your senses the moment it made contact.
You sucked it in, shivering at the sensation and rather heated exchange. You’ve always imagined shotgunning to be rather.. intimate. You were sharing smoke with someone, after all. But, intimate just didn’t seem like a fitting word. At all. This was something beyond it, completely.
As the moment the smoke was touching your tongue, it was as if you could spot Daisuke’s thoughts sprawled across his forehead. Never mind the way those pretty, almond— slowly reddening eyes took you in far too intently.
You backed away a little, releasing a heavy breath straight from your chest. You glanced down before allowing your gaze to land upon the other intern, spotting his eyes already fixated upon you.
“You wanna go again?”
You tried not to nod so excitedly, but with the smoke clouding your focus and the absolute want running through your body— you were sure you looked like an idiotic bobble head. Daisuke either was too high to notice or decided against it anyway, as he was passing your pen back in record time, sitting up and watching.
You took the pen, mirroring his previous movements. Allowing the pen to fall in your lap after, you leaned a bit closer— just as Daisuke did the same. Only this time it was far too close. Your lips briefly touched, only for a moment almost unrecognizable. Yet, you both knew the other felt it.
You decided to ignore it. It meant nothing, right? Simply an accident bound to happen.
You parted your lips, a soft sound escaping as you blew the smoke into his mouth, watching Daisuke consume it eagerly. Sucking up each puffy white cloud under your watchful gaze, he allowed it to dance upon his tongue for a moment before blowing it right back into your mouth.
Just as he closed the distance between the two of you.
You groaned softly, eyes pinched closed as the high of the weed and his lips ran through your entire body. You felt it all the way from your head, to your toes; nerves on fire, as if ready to burst. You were quick to grab him, needing an anchor as the bold kiss quickly muddled your brain. Your fingers curled into his half-dyed hair, twirling soft tresses between the digits and tugging.
Daisuke whimpered right into your mouth, a sound that caused your legs to squeeze and eyebrows to furrow. You felt him moving for a moment before his hands were tracing your body; one finding your waist while the other gently grasped the back of your neck. There, with a tiny push, the man deepened the kiss— tugging you even closer by the waist.
Your arms stretched out, linking around his neck and meeting his eagerness wholeheartedly. You were pleasantly surprised by the sudden 180 of his personality. You especially didn’t take such a clueless, seemingly naive man to be such a good kisser.
But here you were, under his mercy— barely able to keep up with the sloppy lip locking. And with each squeeze of your waist, your mind was spiraling further and further. Again, you could only curse yourself for withholding the weed for this long.
“Wa..wanna touch you..” The words were pushed against your lips so messily you nearly hadn’t heard. Except, they fell from Daisuke’s mouth again; only this time not as muffled given he was pulling away from your lips. His forehead pressed against your own, alternating squeezes on your neck and waist, heavy breaths causing his chest to rise and fall.
“You wanna touch me?”
“So..so bad. I have for a while.” The words came out in drawl as if he was drunk rather than high, red eyes lifting from your lap to your own. “Please, let me?”
He was so desperate, Daisuke’s usual personality peeking through his high facade. The only thing missing was his hands clasped together and whimpers. It was a sight you enjoyed, devouring it greedily with your eyes.
Instead of speaking you slammed your lips back to his own, hands reaching to find his wrists. Once doing so you made his hands drag from your shoulders, down your tummy, hips, and thighs— back and forth, back and forth.. teasing him. It seemed to work as the kiss got even more desperate, his fingers twitching under your hold.
And the moment you released his wrists, Daisuke was all over you— only this time he had full control. The man made quick work of fitting his fingers underneath the shirt you wore, warm digits spanning across your soft stomach. They then rose, flinching the moment they came into contact with your naked breasts— yet eagerly grasping them; cold silver rings digging into your hot flesh.
You sighed into his mouth, grasping his arms and slowly lowering yourself onto your back, pulling him on-top of you. Little sparks of pleasure danced down your spine as he squeezed your breasts, pushing up your shirt to reveal your chest to the muddy air.
The two of you parted, a sticky string connecting your bottom lips together— which broke the moment his head lowered, lips finding a breast. A sloppy kiss was stamped right against your nipple, the swollen bud soon being enveloped by his warm mouth. You stifled a sweet moan, hands finding its place back in his hair, tugging as his tongue swept and circled your areola.
You felt spit trickle at the corner of his mouth from all the attention, sucks only becoming more ferocious as time passed. Caught up in the pleasure you hadn’t realized a hand was descending down your body, not until two fingers were tugging your pants enough that his hand fit through.
Daisuke’s fingers spread across your clothed cunt, finding the edge of your panties and tugging it to the side. There, he was free to spread you, revealing your sopping bud to his finger. He dragged his digit up and down for a moment before running little circles onto your clit.
“Dai..daisuke..—“ You whined softly, nails dragging against his scalp as your thighs twitched. “T—take my pants off, please!”
The man smiled right against your chest, though obliged and with your help, pushed your pants and underwear off your body and down to the bottom of the bed. Now free your legs were spreading easily, hissing as his thumb dragged across your clit whilst another digit circled your wet hole.
Daisuke lifted from your chest, watching with reddened eyes as his finger sunk in all the way to the knuckle. Your walls were warm, enveloping and sucking him in greedily. With each breath you were squeezing, making it just a bit hard for him to move. But, Daisuke didn’t plan to give up now, seeing as — with some effort — he was curling the finger, eyes flicking to your face the moment the prettiest moan fell from your lips.
“That felt good..?” The words fell out as a question more to himself rather than you and instead of waiting, the man repeated his action; only this time a little more confident. And once he received the reaction he was looking for — another breathy moan — Daisuke was more than happy to continue.
Your gasps quickly mixed in with the sounds of your wetness, spongy sounds that echoed with each push of his finger. Curling and fingering, you groaned the moment another digit crept, scissoring inside you. Your thighs were closing at this point, getting overwhelmed with pleasure. You’ve touched yourself while high and as fun as it was, this experience was completely different.
You were sensitive, every sensation on hundred with no chance of coming down. Daisuke’s only been playing with you for a moment and already you felt that familiar band deep in your stomach.
In the midst of your pleasure you hadn’t even realized your thighs were nearly shut until Daisuke quickly slid his free hand to your thigh, pushing and spreading you open.
“I wanna see.”
He said far too calmly, eyes flicking from your face and back to your pretty cunt. Daisuke couldn’t helped but be entranced, watching his fingers disappear and reappear, coated in your arousal. The man swore under his breath, nails dragging against your thigh. He wondered if.. you would let him get a taste? The thought alone nearly made him come in his pants, eating you out just seemed like the second best thing to sharing that weed with you.
Without thinking Daisuke’s face was lowering to your cunt, mouth parted as bated breath fanned against your slick slit. With no warning his tongue was stretching, licking at your bud— quickly glancing at your face for a reaction. He was pleased to see your glossy red eyes and swollen lips open as a pretty gasp escaped your throat. Your fingers tugged at his hair so desperately, back arching as the man’s tongue swiped against you once again— only dragging the thick muscle, allowing you to feel its entire length.
“Please, please..!” You hadn’t a clue why you were pleading, but it seemed Daisuke did— given he repeated that action once more, circling the tip of his tongue along your clit. Little tears threatened to spill from your eyes, hips lifting and grinding into his face; which only resulted in an encouraging squeeze on your thigh.
Moments of this intense pleasure passed before you were practically sitting up, struggling to stifle the harsh moan that escaped you. With a squeeze around his fingers you were coming undone, coating his face with your mess. Daisuke was far too happy to lap you up, cleaning you throughly and refusing to waste a single drop.
Eventually you had to push at his forehead to get him away, groaning as the sensitivity playing at your aching cunt. Reluctantly the man pulled away, pulling his fingers from within you and rubbing his hand across your thigh— soothing you.
“Hopefully you didn’t wake the others.” Daisuke hummed with a small grin, chuckling at the frown you sent his way. He moved to hover above you, leaning onto his forearm and planting a wet kiss to your lips. You mewled from your own taste; hands trailing to tickle the back of his neck.
“We should have done this a long time ago..”
You murmured softly, hearing his own grumble of approval. The kiss continued until you pulled away, hands trekking down to cover his cheeks.
“Daisuke.. as much as I want to continue.. I’m really, really hungry.”
Taking your words in for a moment, the man couldn’t help but release a short laugh, patting the side of your thigh as he sat up from his hovering.
“I’ll be right back. Don’t move.”
With that promise, Daisuke was adjusting his clothes before waltzing towards your bedroom door, opening and exiting — probably off to snatch something from the Tulpar’s kitchen.
You certainly hopped no one was awake to notice his red eyes and extremely wet face.

runaway prince!gojo satoru thoughts...
a/n: gojo is pretty ooc in this im ngl sorry, heavily unedited, no reader in this (just yet?), is this a prologue? who knows.
runaway prince!satoru who is the crown prince of a kingdom that rules over an abundance of smaller territories. the sovereign gojo kingdom has many lands under its power, under its safety, and they've been known to be the voice of the little guys, guarding them against the more brutish, stronger countries that target them.
runaway prince!satoru whose beauty was so remarkable since birth, his face was enough to cause controversy amongst other kingdoms for their childrens' line in marriage to him. who didn't imagine themselves being not only a part of the gojo kingdom, but a part of the gojo family, especially to be wedded to prince satoru gojo.
runaway prince!satoru whose beauty was so apparent, that those who witnessed him as a young child thought of him to be a child of venus herself. white locks made of freshly fallen snow with piercing azure eyes that shimmered with mischief of some kind, it was impossible to not think he wasn't blessed of some divination of beauty.
runaway prince!satoru whose beauty was enough to almost start two wars against two countries who yearned to be a part of the mighty gojo kingdom. the two rival monarchs nearly called declared war on each other after arguing whose child got to marry the young prince—for not only was it the power of the gojo kingdom they desired, but to have a ruler whose face could calm the seas and skies themselves was a feat that only came once every four hundred years within their kingdom.
runaway prince!satoru whose face began to be hidden behind an opaque veil due to the hysterics that erupted from even one glance a the prince's face. deciding ignorance was bliss, his parents began shielding his face at the tender age of twelve from the public and the castle staff to avoid conniption. his parents also decided it'd be best to shield him away from the outside world until they thought it was ready for him to be crowned king.
runaway prince!satoru whose rumors about him were not unnoticed by the prince as the years flew by. rumors about him being secluded from the public were for a good reason—and though they varied from person to person, all of the rumors revolved around one singular aspect.
runaway prince!satoru whose face was thought to be absolutely horrid, that the queen and kingdom thought best to shield its monstrosity from the outside world. whose face was rumored to be ghastly enough that it'd make ladies faint and babies cry. some say he had a large green boil on his nose that never popped, even though it looked like it was on the verge of doing so. some say all his teeth rotted from all the sugar he ate as a child, corroded and blackened. regardless of what the rumors said, rarely anyone thought the opposite of them. the king and queen took a likening to the rumors, thinking that they would gear away anyone who would pounce on their son for the sake of power.
runaway prince!satoru who saw the world through white lace more than half his life, who rarely ever saw the world outside of the palace gates, leapt at every opportunity to see the world for what it was outside his kingdom. so when a trip to a coastal town that threatened to be under siege from a rival kingdom emerged, his bags were already at the ready.
runaway prince!satoru who was used to being greeted by the waves and confused looks of the many people below his ship as it boarded the docks of the coastal village. careless of what they heard about them, his only concern was that he was able to breathe air that wasn't of his kingdom from the mainland. the fresh salted air rebirthed life again into him, and though he could admire the sea through the fence-like pattern of his veil, it was still a sight he took in with a full heart.
runaway prince!satoru who quietly admired the nightlife of the coastal village's people from the tower of the palazzo of the town's chancellor as his parents talked with him downstairs about obtaining the land under their rule for his peoples' safety. below, he watched as a mother tugged along her son from the display of toys in a window, laughing softly as he escaped from her grasp and pressed his face against the pane. a young waitress looked behind her to see if anyone was watching and sneaked outback to an alley and gave a homeless man a plate full of food. a suited man gingerly held an elderly woman by her shoulders and carefully helped her across a bustling street.
runaway prince!satoru who watched the lights of the lanterns flickering about and the soft music echoing in the nightfall with people dancing to the beat of them. a desire to be amongst them pulled at his heartstrings, and he imagined himself, not as the crown prince of the gojo kingdom, but as their fellow citizen, as their fellow neighbor, as their friend.
runaway prince!satoru who glowered at his reflection in the mirror of the guest room. the veil temporarily off and brushed to the side, he stared at his ivory locks and porcelain skin, the sky that held itself within his eyes. with an allure that most would kill to have, he gritted his teeth, cursing it to be the cause of his sheltering, his isolation.
runaway prince!satoru who caught the gaze of the fireplace in the reflection of the mirror, but noticed not the wispy embers of gold and yellow, but rather the pile of black ashes from the wood and kindling. walking slowly towards it and dipping his fingers, he stared at the onyx fingerprint on his fingertip and rubbed it between his other fingers, now stained as well black.
runaway prince!satoru who carefully reached up to a spare lock of his hair and rubbed the onyx powder on the ends of it, amazed how easily it coated the pallid white a darkened ebony. a flurry of apprehension and excitement stirred within him as he whipped his head to the window that faced the village's people and to the door leading to the inside of the chancellor's palazzo. satoru leapt to his feet and pressed his ear to his door, making sure no one was nearby before locking it and pushing a bookshelf up against it.
runaway prince!satoru who picked up a pile of ash between his hands and shuffled it between his hair, tainting it as dark as the night. embedding the ash fittingly between each strand of hair so that not a strike of white was seen, satoru gazed at his new appearance inside the mirror. the locks of pearl were long gone and replaced with familiar charcoal black that many citizens of his own kingdom adorned.
runaway prince!satoru who cleaned the spare sprinkles of ashes from his face with water from the bathroom and tore off his handmade clothes with symbols of regality, scurrying about the dressers of clothes and plucking out seemingly "ordinary" clothes to wear.
runaway prince!satoru who crawled over the ledge of his window, but not before looking back to the barricaded door and whispering "just this once..." before climbing down and taking off into the night.
a/n: i'm gonna be so fr, i really don't know what's to become of this in the future. obviously yes, reader will be a character in the story, but for now, i have yet to decide if i'll just follow this format or if i'll actually write a fully fledged story about this.
i've mentioned this prompt before, but this idea has been brewing in my mind for quite some time, possibly over a year and a half. it's heavily inspired by roman holiday (1953) with a dash of princess and the frog (2009) and i do think it has so much potential that i might just write about it properly! i feel as though it's too good of a prompt to not. stay tuned question mark? (i say that as though i'm not staying tune for myself as well augh!)
if you do manage to stay and watch me bullshit whatever i have in mind, there will be much more involvement of reader, trust! but thank you for reading regardless!

The Jester and his Lore
✨ First of all, this is long. I highly recommend watching Owen’s stream – it’s very detailed. Title "My last stream - Discussing The Realm Lore!". Timestamp roughly 00:57:00.
✨ Secondly, he flipped a lot between CC!Owen talk and TR!Owen talk. I will try my best to make that clear by referring to TR!Owen as The Jester, CC!Owen as Owen.
✨ Finally, important to note here that part way through Owen said if you take nothing else from the stream, take this: Why do people care about The Realm so much? Tubbo has let the conflict stem from the cast, rather than there being an outside force pushing in. The admins are good, but that’s not what the community talk about. The admins help to move the story along. Because no one runs anything by anyone else, it’s not a lore server but rather reality tv.
People care because it’s real and that sucks because when the community is toxic – it’s the CC!s feelings that are being spoken about, not anyone’s writing. Purgatory, for example, pulled the numbers it did because it was real. The Realm has facilitated deserved growth for CC!s but there needs to be checks in place. Owen is leaving for real-life reasons and because his story has finished, nothing else. The admins help to facilitate a healthy environment by having OOC events, such as April Fools.
✨ On to the lore:
The Jester is not immortal. He ages regularly and is called in to entertain over an extended time as monarchies take time to form.
He started as a regular Jester and experienced what a corrupt monarchy could do, until he killed the whole court.
He’s never killed a queen before, only because he’s never come across one before.
His promo video is the original kingdom, and the hand holding the cup at the end is the original king.
[take this with a pinch of salt] The lore as The Jester understands it is that The Realm is a pocket that people are pulled into. It’s a loop in that when you die, or try to leave, you just get sent straight back.
The Jester didn’t know The King is immortal, but he suspected.
The Jester doesn’t know the names of The Keepers, that was a bluff. He does know Stultus, but not by that name, that’s the deity that puts him into stasis until he’s needed. However, he has told Stultus that he doesn’t want to return to The Realm specifically.
The Jester was never a physical threat to anyone, he’s intentionally a psychological villain. It’s a massive game of chess to him.
The issue is that for there to be a villain, there must be conflict. For there to be conflict there must be a character flaw. The most seen character flaw is lack of communication, but if communication happens, there’s no story.
The Characters need to stop communicating everything that happens, it undermines the conflict. Every plot hook that The Jester set up was resolved quickly (obviously no hate at all to the CC!s).
!Ros being kicked from the kingdom should’ve been a longer plot thread. Questions asked here are why was Owen not informed of any decisions happening around his character being killed, why are the characters communicating so openly if they want conflict. After this happened, every plot point Owen did was cleared with CCs before it happened.
The spy element: Foolish is thought to be playing a character that can pull strings and please people but that’s Foolish the CC recognising that Owen is building to something, this is why he let The Jester become a spy.
The Jester’s goal has always been to get The King in a room and kill him. The original plan was to build a theatre and drop dripstone on him, but after the !Clown !Pili fight it was clear that the cast are paranoid and would’ve found traps easily.
The Jester was perhaps hated more than he should’ve been as, really, the only things he did were: be mean to !Ros twice, said everyone was peasants, and kill !Krow in the name of the king.
!Bekyamon has true jester privilege – she writes the paper and is very messy but no one is bothered by that because she’s done an amazing job of building her character and he’s very glad she gets away with it.
It would’ve been insane (in a good way) if The King had let The Jester off and not kicked him out of yellow after he said it’s just a lark.
After !Ros had made The Jester apologise to !Aimsey, there was a monologue planned where The Jester was going to tell !Aimsey that he’s very much not sorry and would rip !Aimsey and !Ros apart, purely for the fun of it.
The Jester could’ve killed Coursfire quicker, he did it by slitting his throat whilst brushing his hair. He continued to brush his hair after that. Quicksilver lore is left open on purpose, but he was the oldest and longest reigning monarch in The Jester’s story.
The Jester killed The King in the manner he did because he’s a performer. It’s all a show for Stultus, it’s a chapter in the axe he’s writing.
Owen saw Foolish on the cast list and thought “The King of Fools”. He made the cinematic, introduced himself to Foolish as The Jester. Foolish then declares himself king. The perfect setup and execution. Owen didn’t know Foolish likes to be king everywhere he goes.
!Clownpierce was a day 1 op. There can only be one jester.
The Jester will never show his full face and is inspired by the jester from Darkest Dungeons.
The Jester gave his hat to Lukey, because CC!Lukey is what got Owen to come back to The Realm, so why not give it to him.
In an alternate timeline that was too main character, war arc would’ve ended in one of two ways, both with yellow dissolved – The Jester goes to The King after !Ros’ death, find the confession book and says !Ros is a spy. Yellow have a meeting where the book is presented, !Ros says no, I didn’t write that but !Sneeg and !Zam say she’s betrayed them. !Ros is kicked from yellow and escorted out by !Sneeg and !Zam leaving The Jester and The King in the room. The Jester would’ve killed the king and then inevitably been reset. !Sneeg and !Zam would apologise to !Ros but she’s set on staying out of yellow. Because there’s no king in yellow, it would be dissolved to purple.
Alternatively: !Sneeg and !Zam believe that !Ros didn’t write the book but The King doesn’t. !Ros, !Sneeg and !Zam decide to leave the kingdom, still leaving The Jester and The King in a room alone, The King still dies. The Jester would’ve then asked to be removed from yellow, leaving the faction empty. Yellow dissolving leaves a power vacuum that blue or orange could fill. (Neither of these would’ve ever happened, but they would’ve been cool).
The Yellow Green conflict needs a resolution, The Jester wanted to facilitate that but not main character it.
The death of The King needs to have an impact beyond “Let’s kill Bad, or Lukey”, what could be more interesting that death? Owen suggested a prison and immediately retracted that, chat panicked.
Owen gave a shout out to CC!BadBoyHalo for letting The Jester kill The King, his spin of !BBH enjoying watching The King engage in the game The Jester set out was appreciated.
CC!Owen and The Jester couldn’t be sure green wouldn’t snipe The King the second the peace treaty was over, which is why he hurried everyone along.
Closing things Owen said: Take the opportunity to be the first to bow out when you can as you get to see the impression your character leaves on the story. Even if it’s completely ignored that The Jester killed The King, he still did it, time cannot be changed.
#edit: link to his promo video added#him calling clown a day 1 op was so funny#please do watch his stream!!#this is 1300 words long#and it's just the cliff notes#owen is a mastermind and incredible storyteller#the fact that i hated the jester is such a testament to how good he was at what he was doing#i had to write it al down because i love people talking about their characters#the realm smp#owengejuicetv#owengejuice#trsmp#realm smp#essie talks

The tale of the fox and the knight - Satoru Gojo | Chapter 03
summary: You have been living all your life in almost isolation due to your true nature, one your parents want to hide and protect you from anyone finding it. But when the spring of your 20 year your parents grant you the wish of being able to walk around the city, you meet him. Your doom. Satoru Gojo, a white haired knight whose intentions in your eyes are unkown. And whose presence in your life will change everything, from how you see the world to your way of being.
words: 3,9k
tags: enemies to lovers, blood, eventual smut, Gojo is pretty rude at the beginning, Gojo ooc, betrayal, fantasy, magical creatures, angst, injuries, heavy/strong language, no use of y/n or minimal use of y/n, female protagonist
notes: I could make an excuse and say I was busy, but I wasn’t I just didn’t write anything 😭 ohmygod I’m so sorry I will try to finish the chapters sooner.
materialist | previous chapter | next chapter
If stares could kill, Satoru would have been underground a long time ago. While the two of you waited for the food your eyes were like daggers waiting to be stuck on Satoru’s most vital parts. But the white haired man didn’t care, not a bit. He had a clear mind, and it was completing his mission.
Satoru didn’t know why the king needed you alive, maybe it was because he intended to marry you or maybe to win territories on your land, but that was something that didn't concern him. He knew why he was chosen to do that job and it was not only skilled but because was resentful of the kingdom of Zerua and especially the royal family.
He was not older than 6 years when his whole family was massacred, he couldn’t recall the events of that night but he remembers the shield that the soldiers had, the same one that your family so proudly displayed.
Maybe it was how they raised him or those faded memories he had, but his hatred was there and he doubt anything could change that.
He hated the kingdom of Zerua and he hated you and your family. That couldn’t change and he wouldn’t let it be changed, he was revenge thirsty.
Your eyes never left the window that was on the side, the outside world was completely dark and only the slight light of the moon was visible. You swallowed hardly as you remember what would happen in a couple of weeks from then. You needed to escape and return to the castle before that date.
Mother always told you to be careful, but you always longed for the outside world, so that’s why they searched for a knight for you, funny how that person who was supposed to protect you was the one putting your world outside down and not in the positive way.
Looking back at the moon you calculated the days you had. 17 days. 17 days before your best kept secret was revealed to the man that you despise the most at that moment.
You needed to do something.
“Here is the chicken.” A female voice spoke as two plates were left in front of the two of you.
She was a young female, probably in her 20s, she had a short brown hair, no longer than her chin and under her left eye there was a mole. She was wearing a green skirt that reached her ankles, on top she was wearing a corset that matched the skirt and underneath a white shirt that you could tell had been wearing for a long time.
“Thank you.” You spoke as your eyes went from her to the plate.
Silence fell between the three of you. Satoru was on alert as he looked at the young woman, and you shifted gently in your seat as his hazel eyes pierced you.
Her hand, cold as snow, rested on your neck, causing you to jump in the chair and quickly cover the area she touched with your own. Satoru stood up, his hand on the handle. He didn't know what the girl was up to, but he needed to be on guard.
“Relax.” The young woman spoke. “You have a wound on your neck; you should treat it.” Your fingers gently brushed your neck until the burning sensation made you pull away. “It could get infected. Once you're done with dinner, stop by the cabin behind the restaurant, and I'll treat you.”
“Thank you…” You gave her a smile, but that smile disappeared when Satoru spoke.
“No need, I'll treat it.” He said firmly.
“Are you a healer?" The girl questioned, but Satoru didn't respond. “I thought so.” Her gaze fell back on you. “I'll be waiting for you. My name is Shoko.”
Just as she arrived, she disappeared from your sight. Your table fell silent again. You could see that Satoru was irritated. He probably didn't like the idea of someone else treating you, since it might mean you might try something to escape.
And he was right. You would try. Every place you stopped, every bar, inn, town, you would try. Even though your hands trembled at the thought of what he might do, you wouldn't stop.
Satoru grabbed a piece of chicken and bit into it. He was annoyed, angry, and restless. The girl, Shoko, seemed to be smarter than most of the villagers. At least she had some medical knowledge, or at least that's what she had implied.
A sigh escaped his lips. They were five days away on horseback from the Blue Forest. If they got there in that time, there was no way anyone would find them. But getting to Lur would still take time, so the first step was to reach the Blue Forest and lose themselves in the thick fog that formed there.
But now he had to focus on controlling you and ensuring you didn't do anything he didn't want. He watched you eat, so different from back in the castle, he could almost swear you could blend in with everyone there. The bites you took were large, nothing a high-society lady would do, but there you were.
The smile that had been forming on Satoru's lips quickly fell when your eyes met and he remembered where you were.
He took his hand away from his chin and grabbed the mug of beer to take a deep sip, closing his eyes tightly as he got used to the taste; the beer was stronger than Lur's. He set the mug aside and wiped his mouth, directing his blue eyes back to your figure.
“Finish the chicken already.” He said through gritted teeth.
“Sorry, this is the first time I've eaten it like this.” You said as you set the bones aside. “It's fun.” You smiled unconsciously.
Satoru said nothing and simply turned around, leaning his back against the stone wall and looking around. You, for your part, continued eating, while observing his profile: straight nose, full lips, high cheekbones, and mile-long eyelashes. No one could deny that he was beautiful, and whoever did was probably completely blind.
You still remember how your maids started talking about him as soon as he started working for you; his smile made them all blush, and of course you fell for it too. His sweet tone of voice, his delicate movements, all of it had everyone in the castle entranced by him, but who could have imagined that it was just a facade, one that was too well constructed?
You swallowed the meat and your eyes observed your reflection in the window. Your hair escaped from your hood, revealing the reddish color, which stood out even more under the candlelight. The memory of what had happened that day shook you. You'd never heard of mountain bandits before. You knew that if Satoru hadn't intervened, now... You shook your head. You were there, in that village, eating chicken. All things considered, you were fine. You were going to be fine.
Both plates remained empty, and you hesitated to speak. That girl, Shoko, had told you to go there to treat your wound, and this could be a good opportunity to leave a message in case the royal guard following you passed by, or even for her to do so.
You raised your gaze and found Satoru still staring into the distance. You cleared your throat. “Let's go.”
“Are you going to that girl?” He asked without looking at you.
You straightened your clothes and nodded. “Yes, I don’t want it to get infected.” You said firmly. “It could get infected, and I could die.”
Satoru laughed at your answer. “Bunny, I highly doubt that cut will cause your death.”
“Whatever.” You said, rolling your eyes. “Let’s go.”
Satoru said nothing and walked behind you. It was strange, wasn’t he going to threaten you into not saying anything? You said goodbye to the couple and walked out the door. The night chill chilled your cheeks; you were further north, and the temperature was getting lower. If you continued north, the days would start to get shorter and the nights would become much colder and harsher.
You had heard about northern winters, but you didn’t know how much of it was real. The capital was further south, where winters occasionally saw snow, but rainy days were abundant. But the north could endure days of snow, and you'd even heard that there were parts where the sun didn't rise for months. Their days were illuminated only by the bright moonlight that graced those endless nights.
You hugged yourself tightly and looked back. Satoru continued walking, saying nothing.
“Aren't you going to say anything?” You asked him.
Satoru looked at you and sighed. “Don't do anything…” Your lips parted to speak, but Satoru's words arrived first. “Or I'll reduce this town to rubble. Do you understand?” He said, his tone cold, as cold as the air that blew that night.
He stood beside you and his eyes fixed on you, waiting for an answer. “I understand…” You said, trying not to stutter.
Satoru walked ahead of you, his back straight and confident. Oh, how much you wanted to knock him down and make him pay. You clenched and unclenched your fists; it would all come, it would happen eventually.
Soon you were standing in front of Shoko's door. Satoru knocked twice before it opened, revealing Shoko's silhouette behind it.
“Come in.” She stepped aside, letting you enter the warmth of her small home.
Your eyes scanned the room, lit by small candlesticks and the light from the fireplace. The place was small and cozy.
“You can leave your cloak there.” She pointed to a wooden chair.
You heard Satoru snort but remain silent. “Good…” You whispered, setting the cloak aside.
Short, patchy hair showed, and you quickly felt the need to hide under the dark cloak.
“Good, sit down so I can treat your wound.” She pointed to the chair across from her. You did so and looked at her. “It's not very deep, but it's still best to treat it…” She gently grabbed your face and turned it to the side.
Satoru stood there, arms crossed, watching you with his blue eyes that shone in the fireplace.
“This might hurt.” Shoko whispered before you felt a burning sensation on your neck. You closed your eyes tightly, tears gathering at the edges of your eyes as you inhaled deeply to keep them from falling silent. Soon, you felt a cloth being placed over the wound and Shoko moving away from you.
“That's it.” She said, setting the curling iron aside. “I don't think it'll leave a scar…”
“Thanks, Shoko.” You said, touching your neck.
“Okay, now we should…” Satoru started to speak, but Shoko cut him off.
“How about I fix your hair?” She said, touching one of your frayed ends. “I don't think you want to go with that cut, do you?”
You looked at her and then at the ends of your hair. “That would be nice…”
“Good.” She said, smiling. “How about you wait outside?” She looked at Satoru.
“No, I'm fine here.” Satoru leaned against the wall, his eyebrows narrowed.
Shoko said nothing and simply worked on your hair. You heard the scissors cutting, and small strands fell onto your thighs. Your reddish hair, which had once been the most precious thing to you...
Your mother used to dye it every night, while telling you stories about princesses and princes, about true love. Now you realized that it had all been just fairy tales, a fantasy.
“Good…” Shoko spoke, and you could hear a smile in her tone. “You look beautiful.”
You raised your hands to your hair and touched it; it was really short.
“What do you think?” Your gaze lifted and you looked at Satoru, who seemed impassive.
"It’s okay..." He was really cruel.
“It's late now, the inn that welcomes travelers will probably be closed, so stay here.”
”It won't be too much trouble?” You asked.
“Not at all, we have a free room, you can stay there.” She smiled, and you smiled back. “Where are you headed, anyway?”
“South.” Satoru lied. You were coming from the south and heading northeast. “The weather is better there, and my wife and I are looking to start there together.” The biggest fake smile spread across Satoru’s face.
“The south… sounds interesting. The weather will be better than here, that’s for sure.” Shoko commented.
The conversation didn’t last much longer, and soon you found yourself in the room with Satoru, just the two of you. You look around, the room only had a bed, which you knew what it meant and you didn’t like it.
“You sleep on the floor.” You said before Satoru could say anything.
Without waiting for a response, you sat on the bed and move yourself to be in the middle of it, trying to make a statement.
Satoru smirked as he watched you, did you really thought that with just putting yourself in the middle he was not going to be able to move you? Satoru without hesitation walked to the bed and with just one arm he pulled you to the side.
“Bunny, you thought you were making something there?” He chuckled. “Don’t be ridiculous.”
You broke free from his grasp and faced him. “I’m not sleeping in the same bed.”
“For my own good.” He picked up one of the pillows and threw it at you. “I’m sure the floor is comfortable.” He smiled cynically.
You gripped the pillow tightly. “Are you really going to make me sleep on the floor?”
Satoru thought for a moment. “Yes?”
“I thought you were a gentleman.” You said, grabbing the pillow and some blankets from the bed.
“Well, stop believing that, because I’m not.” He replied simply.
The floor was hard and cold. Just a few days ago, you had been in the castle, preparing for the ball with Utahime, taking walks in the garden, or going into town, and now… now you were on the cold floor of a humble abode, kidnapped by someone you thought you trusted.
You rolled onto your side and buried your face in the pillow, stifling the sobs building in your throat. Swallowing, you wiped your tears away. You had to stay awake until Satoru fell asleep so you could go out and ask Shoko for help.
But your eyes were too heavy; you felt your body slump, falling into a sleep you didn't want.
Fuck...
Satoru, for his part, had his arm under his head as he stared up at the wooden beams on the ceiling. The room was barely lit by the fading light in the sky, and outside, you couldn't hear a thing.
As the minutes passed, your breathing steadied, though a little uneven due to your blocked nose. Satoru knew you'd cried there on the floor, and although his chest had tightened, he'd quickly pushed them away. He didn't care about your tears; Satoru only cared about returning to Lur and completing his mission, and perhaps celebrating his success with Sukuna.
He tossed and turned in bed and saw your silhouette on the floor, curled up in a ball, trying to conserve your body heat. Satoru sat up in bed and took a closer look, then turned his gaze outside again. It was probably after midnight, maybe around one or two in the morning.
With a grunt, he got out of bed and approached you. Something inside him told him to put you to bed, but Satoru ignored it and simply pulled all the sheets over the bed. Maybe that would stop you from looking like an armadillo. Giving you one last look, he left the room.
He stood in the hallway and gripped his sword tightly. “You're not just travelers, are you?” Shoko's voice broke the silence of the night.
“That's all that matters to you?” He glanced at Shoko.
“Not much, really.” She smirked. “But you know..” Shoko walked past him. “Have you ever heard the rumor about the princess of Zerua?”
“The rumor?” Satoru followed her with his eyes.
“Yes, the rumor that says the kings had another daughter, one with fiery hair.” Satoru could see Shoko’s smile despite the dim nightlight. “Your wife has hair as red as fire, it’s curious.”
Satoru smirked. “Yeah… curious, but we are just travelers you know. We are searching for a better life.” Satoru tried to softly smile.
“I haven’t asked you your names.” Shoko then changed the subject. “How rude…”
“Skye..” Satoru responded without hesitation.
“And your wife?” Shoko tilted her head as she waited for a response.
Satoru narrowed his eyes as he tried to examine her face but it was too dark. “Selene…”
“Selene… like the moon goodness?”
“Yes… like her.” Satoru cleared his throw. “Isn't it too late to be up?”
“I could ask you the same.” Satoru felt irritated, he wanted to leave that town as soon as possible.
“I heard some noises… but it was probably an animal.” He gripped his hand around his sword. “I will go back to sleep. Good night.”
Satoru closed the door of the room not waiting for a response and he threw himself to the bed, he looked at you still resting on the floor.
"Ugh, damn it." He scratched his head, ruffling his white hair.
Setting his sword aside, he approached you and bent down, carefully running his hands under your body. Satoru knew you usually slept soundly, so you wouldn't wake up. In fact, lightning could strike the roof and you'd still be asleep.
He placed you on the bed and covered you with the sheets he'd previously thrown over you. He sat on the other side of the bed and looked at you, a long sigh escaping his lips. He needed this mission to be over and done with so he could go home. Satoru's eyes soon closed, exhaustion taking its toll on his body.
· · ────── ·𖥸· ────── · ·
Your back didn't hurt, at least not like you thought it would after sleeping on the floor. You stirred, and that's when you realized it: you weren't on the floor. Your eyes opened, and you were surprised to find yourself in bed.
Perhaps you had gotten up and laid down on it, or... You shook your head at those thoughts.
You walked over to the window and noticed the light mist outside. You looked around the room carefully; you were alone, and there was no sign of Satoru.
“Good…” This could be your chance.
With long strides, you left the room and looked for Shoko. The house wasn't very big, so it wouldn't be difficult to find her.
“Did you wake up?” A shiver ran through you. Turning on your heels, you found Satoru staring at you from the front door.
“Yes…” You said, licking your lips. “Where’s Shoko?”
“She went to get breakfast.” He said, passing by you. “We’ll have breakfast and then go.” You rolled your eyes and sat down across from him without saying anything. “Your name is Selene.”
“Excuse me?”
“Your name is Selene now, and mine is Skye, so just follow along when Shoko gets back.” Satoru frowned as he explained everything.
Selene? Skye?
“Good morning.” Shoko walked through the door with a smile. “I see you’re up. How was your night?”
“Good.” You glanced briefly at Satoru. “I slept well, thanks, Shoko.”
“It’s nothing. Here’s some milk. Skye told me you’d be leaving soon, but I couldn’t leave you without food.”
“Uh… Yes, yes.” He really had made up those names.
You took the milk Shoko had brought you and took a sip. Satoru's eyes pierced you intensely, almost asking you to drink that bowl as soon as possible and that as soon as you put it down on the table, he'd get you out of there.
“Selene, so are you excited?” Shoko spoke, and at first you didn't realize it, not until Satoru smacked you under the table.
“Oh! Yes, yes... very much so. I can't wait to go south. Maybe we'll stop by the capital, right, Skye?” You looked at him with a smile.
“Maybe.”
"Sometimes you two give the impression that you hate each other." Shoko laughed.
“Yeah that’s because…”
“Things have been complicated.” Satoru spoke over you. “After the bandit attack, Selene hasn't been feeling well, and that might be why she's feeling that way.” Satoru stood up from his chair and took your hand as he knelt beside you. “But everything will be okay, my dear. We'll soon be arriving at our new home.” He smiled at you and then planted a kiss on your hand.
You gulped as you looked at him, wanting to scream and call him names. But if you did, Satoru probably wouldn't hesitate to kill Shoko right there and disappear with you from that village in the middle of the mountains.
“Thanks, darling.” You faked a smile.
Still holding your hand, Satoru stood up and walked over to Shoko. “I think it's time to go. If we want to reach our next destination before nightfall, we'd better get going now.”
“I can give you supplies if you want.” Shoko pointed out.
“We're fine, thank you.”
Satoru tugged on your hand, leading you to the exit. You had to do it now.
”Shoko.” You broke free from his grasp and walked over to Shoko. “Thanks for everything.” You took her hands, leaving the small piece of paper in her hand. “See you.”
You released your grip and walked back to Satoru. He looked at you for a few moments, then back at Shoko.
“Come on, Skye…” You pulled him along. “Leaving now will get us to our next destination faster.”
Satoru followed you, but you could feel him staring at you. You hoped Shoko would read and understand it, and if there was a chance, she would pass the message on to the royal guard.
You reached Satoru’s horse, and you quickly approached him to hug him.
“Hey, Nut!” You said, stroking him gently.
“Nut?” Satoru said, puzzled.
“Yes, Nut, his name is Nut.” Your gaze returned to Nut and you smiled. “Since your stupid owner doesn’t name you, I will.”
Satoru rolled his eyes and sighed. “Whatever…” His hands placed on your hips, pulling you away from Nut. “We’re leaving.”
“Wait, what?!” You said as Satoru lifted you up.
Satoru effortlessly sat you on the horse and, without saying anything, sat behind you. “We're leaving…” He whispered in your ear, causing your skin to prickle instantly.
Satoru grabbed Nut's reins and the horse began to walk. Snapping out of the momentary trance, you searched for Shoko, who was getting smaller and smaller as you left the small town behind. In your heart, all you could hope was that she'd read that note and find it in the right hands.
“Don't do that again.” You said after riding along the trails for a while.
“Do what?” Satoru asked.
“Catching me like that was… it was awkward.”
“Don't do what you did again.” Satoru said back.
Your face turned and you looked at him. You were close together, and that scared you because you saw it in his eyes. He knew, he'd noticed the note, he knew, he knew. “No…”
“No, what?” He smirked.
You shook your head. “Nothing will happen to Shoko, right?”
“Should something happen to her?” Satoru leaned closer to you. “Princess, I'll be nice this time, but not next time. Do you understand?”
“You're cruel.”
“The worst of all.” He muttered. “Now brace yourself, our plans have changed slightly.”
Little did you know that changed was going to make you go to your limit in your relationship with Satoru and make choices you didn’t think you would.

17+ ( but I can’t control anybody’s fingers so beware . )
When nanami wasn’t there gojo was for your lonley nights in the kingdom. He knew your frequent nightmares and he thought this would be one of those nights. Sitting outside of your door on guard for you tonight.
On this particular sunday knight while just fooling around on patrol outside of your room he heard you finally make a concerning noise made him jump up and open your doors.
You were there in your bed sitting up, your eyes wide, pink jello bonnet off, your pink cotton candy fro showing and you breathing heavily in a frightened state.
gojo ran over to you immediately coming to your aid. “Princess?! Are you alright?” His blue eyes were as wide and his aquamarine pupils small. If this was a different scenario he’d joke on you but now was not this time as your personal knight.
Seeing him come to your comfort made your heart beat relax. You coughed, clearing your throat. “I-I…- I think I’m fine, just a nightmare.”
gojo made a small chuckle, not at your feelings but just how he could relate.“know that all too, some monster came in your dreams or something?” He half joked now sitting on the edge of your bed.
His small quip got a smile on your face, joking in a serious situation was inappropriate but gojo knew just the perfect timing.
“Worse but I wouldn’t want them to bore that bjg head of yours.” your jest was more of you wanting to really not worry gojo, you knew how he wouldn’t keep quiet and tell the closest person to you that worries enough.
He whirred, scratching his white hair and the red highlights in them. He badly wanted to press the issue further but he knew just how you were and left it alone.
Still, he pouted at your little quip but played.“aw.. just when I wanted to fill this big head of mine with some juicy information.”
You made some small tittering at that.“wellll.. could use my good buddy as my personal body pillow, don’t think you mind do you? Not that you’ve ever mind the other nights…” the last part you murmured but that was loud and clear to gojo making him now grin like a Cheshire Cat.
“Oh? So now I’ve resorted from now the friend you fuck to your personal plushie.”
See, unbeknownst to nanami or anybody else you and gojo’s had such a good princess and knight relationship because you two had such a history of having a fling and such. You wouldn’t dare to announce this fling to the public because only god knows how terrifying the public spectacle would be. Nanami should know of this but you just wouldn’t.
“Just get that shiny peppermint armor off and join me in bed you ass.”
“Don’t gotta tell me twice.
You woke up again. This time from a very detailed dream about your friend gojo right next to you. You couldn’t help but just sit looking at his gorgeous face, it was rare to see him in just his white t-shirt instead of his white and red scented armor. His hair was messy with one strand of his red highlighted hair sticking up and light snoring.
On one hand you wanted to just let your knight sleep for once but on the other hand, your pussy just had to want attention after that vivid dream.
And you would unfortunately listen to the thing between your legs.
You thought gojo would be pissed that he had to be waken up just from you being needy but gojo wasn’t a normal man, he could be just as lustful as you and for you.
It didn’t take any convincing to get gojo to coax the aching warm feeling between your legs. Matter a fact he actually took action to put your leg on his shoulders to feast better.
When you looked down at him he had a toothy grin on his handsome face then did a tsking sound looking at your cunt.“tsk.. if it was this big a problem you should’ve woke me up a little while ago.” His tone was so cocking just tapping at your brown thighs that were on his shoulders.
a slight blush was on your cheeks at his almost teasing tone.“I’m not so hungry for it as you satoru, I can pace myself.”
“And yet you woke me up with your pretty face in my view.” You didn’t have any good bite back to that and just turned your face waiting for him.
He took you by surprise when his licking your cunt went from soft and slow to fast and him sucking your clit and holding onto your thighs more with his hands.
You gasped at how he was eating and licking at your box like he was starving for it as if he didn’t eat for days.
You couldn’t make out any words but sounds of moans and babbling while you looked for a loc of his hair to grab onto and pull for some comfort against him eating you out with such hunger.
“Mmph satoru! Please!” you didn’t know what you were begging for, just something to make him slow down but that just made him giggle and stop making you whine.
No amount of your whines and unintelligible babbles stopped him though. He was a knight, when you told him what you needed he was getting the job done.
While still munching and licking at you like a dinner plate his blue eyes met yours for one moment.
splat !
There was silence from gojo while he swallowed what cum you splattered on his tongue, an embarrassed look on your face then his boisterous laugh.

Mihawk x FemReader + OOC Alucare

Support me on Ko-Fi!
Old Men Series <- Click to read more
It had been far too long out at sea, especially with the growing irritation of Mihawk and Alucare- Maybe It was their personalities being too similar or the fact they were training daily but had to be careful. However it looked like two monsters about to Duke it out any day- You sitting there trying to keep the peace.
But finally the 3 {almost 4} Of you made it to the Grand Line and Kuraigana Island- You didn't know what to expect... but it sure wasn't nightmarish hellscape with a dark castle!?
Alucare and You standing there on the docked ship staring up at the Gloomy place- Your son slowly turning to look at his father.
"Are you some vampire we don't know about?-"
Mihawk sighed at this and gave a half glare to Alucare.
"No... it is ruins of the Muggy Kingdom that I have converted into my home" The two Dracule men glared at each other and you knew then.. this wasn't going to be as positive as you hoped.
It had been some weeks since arriving at Mihawks home and you had hoped the tension would disperse between Mihawk and Alucare.. but it honestly just got worse somehow? Maybe it was a father son thing but it seemed now both were fighting over everything- Food, Books, and even for your attention.
"I am warning you now Alucare- If you continue your attitude I will take something of value to you" Mihawk said with a narrowed gaze- The teenager cocking his head to the side in almost amusement.
However most recent was Perona, The young women taking a liking to Alucare who was the younger version of Mihawk in her eyes- While she was still too old for him, That didn't keep Alucare from flirting and trying. Much to Mihawks ire...
The older male taking Alucare out to training one day- Glaring at his spawn.
"Alucare- I do not appreciate you trying to flirt with my pupil... Not only is she too old for you, I know you're doing this to irritate me" Mihawk spoke calmly, Alucare giving a emotionless stare.
"Whatever do you mean?" He said calmly, Mihawk taking a breath.
"Oh? What like taking me away from the place I was raised? my mother? Throwing me across an island?" Alucare said with some venom in his tone. Mihawk taking a breath through his nose to calm himself.
"You son of a bitch!!!" You heard Alucare shout from his room, Mihawk smirking slightly as he sipped his coffee. You heard Alucare rapid footsteps march right to the kitchen area and you gasped at the sight- Alucare long hair had been cut- While before his hair was down to his waist it was just past his shoulders and fairly evenly cut, The shortness making the thick hair spike more and it reminding you of Mihawks more natural hair.
"Alucare- I am being serious. Stop it with Perona and stop testing me.." He demanded, Alucare giving a smirk at the man.
"Or what?" He said calmly, Mihawk feeling something snap inside of him.
"..." The older man just nodded and ended the training then and there- The rest of the night being oddly quiet between the two..
By Mornibg you had started breakfast and was talking to Mihawk when you heard it-
"Mihawk you didnt-?!" You start, Glaring at the male who continued to sip his coffee.
"Hm?- I warned him... if he kept up the disrespect I'd take something precious of his as punishment-"
"SO YOU CHOSE MY HAIR!? YOU CRAZY MOTHERFUCKER!" Alucare yelled in pure rage, Mihawk smiled at his choice of wording and winked.
"Yes that is a fair insult- I am a Mother Fucker" He said calmly setting down his teacup and picking up his newspaper to read. You groaning in your hands in both embrassment and irritation at your partner. Alucare was red in the face from anger and marched outside angrily and slamming the doors behind him- He was most likely going to train somewhere far away from the island.
"Must you antagize him Hawks?.. that was way to famn far and you know it-" You start now mad and standing up from the dinning room table.
"No- I'm giving him something he needs and something I didn't have-" Mihawk said calmly, this making you huff in frustration.
"Oh and what is that?!" You place your hands on your hips, feeling that the hormones were working you up and ready to bite Mihawks head off.
"The opportunity to be a teenager-" And just like that he took the wind from your sails... confusion being written on your face at his words.
"You said it yourself.. Alucare acts just like me- From the stoic attitude to hiding one's emotions... He has matured far too early for his age to protect you- But taking away his need to be strong for you, it's allowing him to express bottled up emotions and act as he should for a 16 year old.. Is he angry? Yes. Is he being dramatic? Absolutely. However it's better for him to express these in a environment that can handle it and then be taught how to work through them.... then to never feel them at all again-" Mihawk said truthfully and with a twinge of regret in his voice. Your heart Sinking as the realization of this all hit you...
Mihawk was wanting to let Alucare experience teenage emotions since he was never able to and help him grow as a person.. Mihawk didn't want his son to be like him- But better then him..
Sitting down you felt your eyes water.
You didn't see Alucare that night- or the next night. While you were shaken with worry Mihawk had insisted that Alucare was fine and he had checked in him from time to time- simply camping out on the north side of the island.
By the second night you went to the study and saw Mibawk drinking his normal wine, Seeing what looked to be a cheese and fruit board prepared as well.
"Ah (Y/N) thank you for the wine and snacks" Mihawk said calmly, finishing off the last cracker and cheese. You didn't remeber setting them out yet- But you usually did so it wasn't a huge surprise especially if you forgot.
"Hm I guess I forgot I did that- But no problem honey" You kiss his cheek and he smiled up at you touching your rounded stomach.
"It's normal- What did you call it? 'Pregnancy Brain?'" You nodded and smiled quite pleased he'd remembered. After some brief conversation Mihawk yawned and tried to shake the sleep away- He looked more tired then usual, Rubbing his eyes as he finishes his final glass of wine.
"Hm.. I'm exhausted" He mumbled, you watching as he seemed a bit uneasy on his feet when standing. You assumed he had drunk too much so it wasn't surprising, so the two of you walked back to the bedroom and he fell asleep quickly and soundly that night, you following suit soon after.
Unknown to both of you a pair of yellow eyes was watching the whole time-
The next morning you were the first one up, deciding Mihawk could sleep in and headed downstairs. Much to your surprise to see Alucare- bathed and dressed with his hair in a short low ponytail. Cooking a nice and large breakfast.
"Sweetie you're back!" You said cheerfully and kissed your sons cheeks. He smiled softly, finishing cooking.
"Couldn't miss the show" He said almost cheerfully, you raising a questioning eyebrow at this as you made a plate for yourself.
Perona was the next down, Chatting mindlessly with Alucare and even saying his hair didn't look bad either. Which he clearly appreciated but you could tell his mind was elsewhere- Soon the heavy footsteps of Mihawk approaching alerted all of you.
"Morning-" You heard Mihawk start as he stepped in the kitchen and it was like someone threw bricks at you all..
Perona choked on her eggs suddently and started to cough hard as she turned away. Your jaw dropped as a surprised shriekd left you- damn near dropped your plate as well, Alucare sitting there with a smirk on his face as he ate another bite of his breakfast calmly.
"M-Mihawk.. Honey" You start, The tired man looking at you confused at your reactions.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?... I do apologize you had to make breakfast- I feel drowsy for some reason.." Mihawk admitted as he rubbed his temple to try and ease the drowsiness away.
"I'll be out training..." Alucare said calmly as he stood up and left the kitchen quickly. Perona now starting to laugh which confused Mihawk more-
"Your face... oh my God your face" You manage out and cover your mouth- Unsure if you should laugh or cry first.
"My what?-" Mihawk said quickly and went to the closest mirror which was in the hallway and stared at himself. There he saw it- half his facial hair had been shaved off paired with an eyebrow and some very nice pen work which had 'Dickhead' on his forehead with a detailed cock on his cheek.
It then clicked- The wine and snacks... The little fucker must have drugged him and did this to him while he slept-
"..."
You closed your eyes and sighed, practically feeling Mihawks anger from the hallway and you prayed your son would survive whatever was about to happen- Especially when Mihawks voice boomed across the castle and island.
"ALUCARE!!"

MY DREAM
Charles Leclerc x Reader
Warnings: long fic (i'm never doing something like this again istg), a lot of use of Y/n because the story is written in the third person pov, the plot is the same as the movie i just cut some scenes, i didn't want to make it too different and distort the original story, if you know what i mean. Maybe ooc Charles? I tried to mix his and Flynn's personality.
English is not my first language so feel free to correct me.
Okay so... since i saw a few people on tiktok saying that Charles could be considered a good Flynn Rider, and i honestly tell you i kinda see it too👀, i thought i'd write a story about it. After all, why not combine Formula One and Disney?? It seemed like a nice idea to me^^
This is an experiment i wanted to try, lemme know if you liked it~
/////
Legend has it that one day a drop of the sun fell from above onto a small simple flower. It thus acquired magical powers, healing powers that were capable of healing any wound.
No one knew of that flower's existence, no one except Gothel. Gothel had understood that with the power of singing she could awaken the powers of the flower and so she used it to ensure that she could always remain young and beautiful, effectively blocking the flow of time in her body.
At that time there reigned a king and a queen, much loved by the citizens of their kingdom. The queen was expecting a baby. But alas, during the pregnancy she became seriously ill. So all the citizens of the kingdom searched for a cure that could save their queen. And as if by miracle, they managed to find the magic flower. With the cure prepared with the flower, the queen recovered, until the princess was born. Do you want to know what her name was? Well, her name was Y/n and that sweet little girl was born with long golden hair that fell to her little shoulders (doesn't matter what's your natural hair colore, it's just for the story). And to celebrate her birth, the king and queen released a lantern into the sky. Everyone was happy and everything seemed to be going well... Until the worst happened.
Gothel knew that now that the flower that could cure her of her old age was no longer there, her only option was the little girl's hair filled with magic. So one night, the woman slipped into the castle, kidnapped the little girl and disappeared into the darkness.
People searched and searched for the princess everywhere, but no one could find her. Gothel had taken the little girl to the top of an abandoned tower, where she raised her as if she were her own daughter. Gothel had found her magical flower again, but this time she was determined to keep it hidden.
But the walls of that tower could not hide everything. Every year on her birthday the king and queen released thousands of lanterns into the sky, in the hope that one day the lost princess would find her way back home.
"Why can't i go outside?" little Y/n always asked, while Gothel combed her hair softly in front of the fire.
And every time, Gothel always gave her the same answer, so as to convince the little girl to always stay with her.
"The world out there is a very dangerous place, full of horrible and selfish people. You need to stay here, so you will always be safe. Do you understand little flower?"
"Yes mommy"
/////
Years passed and Y/n grew into a beautiful girl. She had never left that high tower and besides the woman she believed to be her real mother, the only other thing that kept her company was her passion for painting. Y/n painted and painted and painted every day. Her favorite subject? Take a guess... Yes, i'm talking about the lanterns that flew in the sky every night on his birthday. Y/n was enchanted by their beauty every year and wanted so much to be able to see them in person, even just once. It was her only true dream.
But she knew she had to convince Gothel to do it, yet after (almost) 19 years, she still hadn't succeeded.
But now let's go to the present. And although the main character of this story is our beautiful Y/n, another equally important character steps forward. You've already figured out who it is, right?
/////
"Oh shoot! Oh shoot! Oh shoot!"
At that moment, inside the forest, a young man with light eyes was running at full speed on his legs, trying to escape the group of soldiers on horseback who were chasing him.
"Get him! Quick!" the leader of the soldiers shouted, pointing his sword in the direction the man was running away.
The man continued to run like hell, when suddenly his attention was drawn to a flyer hanging on the trunk of a tree and he stopped to look at it. He looked at the picture of himself, decorated with the words WANTED in large letters over his head. Usually he paused to look at himself with a vain smile, but this time an annoyed grunt left his lips when he saw the image.
"Oh, come on! They got my nose wrong again! What's so complicated about it?!" he exclaimed, tearing the paper from the trunk with one hand.
He would have liked to stay and complain, but when he heard the loud sound of horses' hooves beating on the ground getting closer and closer, the man started running again.
When he reached a blind spot, he began searching through nature to find a good spot to try and hide. He thought he was screwed, that they would capture him and hang him once and for all. But fate had something else in store for the fugitive. Hidden behind a curtain of leaves and creepers was a passage carved into the rock and the boy wasted no time in entering it. Did he have any idea where it was leading? Absolutely not. Was it risky? A lot, but as long as it led him away from the soldiers, he was more than fine with it. So he continued walking in the darkness, until he saw the light at the end of the tunnel. And when he went out, he saw with great surprise a tall lonely tower illuminated by the sun.
It was perfect: he could hide in the tower and even stay there until the next day. Who would ever look for him in an abandoned place like that?
So, he quickly reached the tower and not seeing an entrance door from which to access, he reluctantly began to climb, not noticing two eyes that were spying on him in terror from the window.
Once inside, the man wasted no time looking around, not noticing that, contrary to what he believed, the tower was not uninhabited at all. Instead he only thought about rummaging in his satchel to extract the object that was the main reason why the soldiers had chased him.
"Ah..." he murmured with a smirk, admiring the jewel in his hands. "We're finally alon-"
SBANG!
The man fell to the ground, hit by a blow to the head. Behind him, our Y/n looked at him with wide eyes and her heart pounding in her chest, while in her hands she held the pan that she had used as a weapon to hit him. Who the hell was he? And why did he sneak into the tower?? Did he perhaps want her?? Did he want the power of her hair??
Y/n remained silent, looking at the unconscious stranger's body lying on the ground. Then she slowly bent down to look at him. Touching his cheek with the pan handle, she turned his face so she could see him better.
It was at that moment that Y/n felt a strange feeling arise in her chest. He looked... Cute. In fact, very cute, for a scoundrel.
Suddenly she heard a light, pained grunt coming from the boy and, fearing that he might wake up, she decided to lift him in her arms, as much as her strength allowed, and push him towards the wardrobe. It took several attempts, but once she managed to get his body stuck in the closet, Y/n quickly closed the doors, and then pushed a chair in front of it, so as to block them.
Oh my god... Oh my god!
"I beat a man..." she murmured, feeling a small, satisfied smile rise on her lips. "I just hit a criminal! With a frying pan! Haha!"
Y/n started bouncing on the spot. She was so proud that she had done it all on her own and without her mother's help to boot! And she even managed to lock him in the wardrobe! Oh, she really had to tell his mother this.
Y/n stopped in her tracks when a brilliant idea came to her mind: with this courageous feat of hers she could prove to her that she was capable of protecting herself and that she was ready to face the outside world. And if she was ready to face the outside world, then that meant maybe her mother would let her go see the lights, right? Yes, it was perfect!
While Y/n was thinking about her brilliant plan to convince Mother Gothel, something glimmering under the sunlight caught her attention. She noticed that the stranger's bag was left on the ground and a strange object was coming out of it. Curiosity took over and when Y/n bent down to pick up the object, her eyes widened. It looked like a jewel. It was golden and filled with diamonds and colored pearls. It was beautiful. The girl had no idea what it was and tried to wear it as if it were a bracelet. No, it was too wide. Maybe it should have been worn around the waist like a belt? Well no, definitely not. So he tried putting it on his head. Y/n tried to look at herself in the mirror and when she saw her image with the golden jewel decorating her hair, she was enchanted looking at her reflection. She had never felt so beautiful. Not to be vain, but she would have been staring at herself for hours when...
“Y/n!”
Y/n jumped when she heard her mother's voice calling her from outside.
"Let down your hair~"
Quickly Y/n took the crown off her head and leaned out the window, to look at her mother.
“Just a second, mother!” she exclaimed with a nervous smile and then disappeared back into the tower.
"You know i don't like it when you keep me waiting, my dear" Gothel replied with an impatient smile.
Y/n hurriedly put the jewel back into the bag and then hid it under the stairs. Then she wrapped her long hair around a handhold and let it fall out the window, so that Gothel could use it as a means of climbing back up the tower.
“I have good news for you, little flower” said the woman, climbing over the window.
“I have one too” Y/n retorted, making the other giggle.
"Oh, i'm sure mine is better"
Gothel approached the girl with her arms wide open and then placed both hands on her shoulders and gave her an affectionate kiss on the forehead.
"My news is: that tonight i will prepare the hazelnut soup for you! Your favorite. Aren't you happy?" Gothel asked and Y/n nodded.
"Thank you mother"
Gothel smiled back and then walked away and headed towards the table, placing the ingredients and tools to prepare that evening's dinner on top of it.
"What did you want to tell me instead?" she asked, starting to cut vegetables.
Y/n glanced at the closet blocked by the chair, which Gothel hadn't noticed yet.
"Well... It's about my birthday present, mother..." she murmured with a smile, not noticing how her mother's face seemed to become more serious as the seconds passed.
“I hope you're not referring to those stars Y/n”
Y/n began to play with her fingers.
"Mother, you know that the only thing i've ever wanted is to be able to go and see the lights floating and-"
"I thought we had this cleared up a long time ago" Gothel interrupted.
"You always say you think i'm not strong enough to handle myself out there and-"
"Oh my dear, i KNOW for a fact that you're not strong enough to handle yourself out there."
"Yes, but if only you-"
"Y/n, stop. We're done"
"Trust me, i-"
“Y/n”
"Let me explain-"
"ENOUGH Y/N! YOU WILL NEVER GET OUT OF THIS TOWER, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"
Y/n fell silent, while Gothel looked at her with anger in her eyes.
"Oh, great. Now i look like the bad guy"
Gothel let out an exhausted sigh, running a hand over her face, while the girl cast a disappointed look at the painting of lights that she alone had created with her hands. Apparently, she wouldn't have seen the lights this year either, except from the window of that tower.
“What i meant was…” Y/n murmured sadly. "That for my birthday i would really like some new colors to paint. You know, the ones made with the white shells that you once brought me"
“But it will take me almost three days of travel to get those for you, Y/n” the woman said.
“I thought it was a better gift than… The stars” Y/n looked at her with an uncertain smile.
Gothel looked at her and then moved closer to her again, smiling back.
“Are you sure you'll be okay here alone?” she asked, placing her hands on her shoulders and Y/n nodded silently.
Gothel hugged her, giving her a kiss on the head.
"I'll be back in three days. I love you, little flower"
"I love you more, mother"
"And i love you most"
So, Gothel set out on her journey. And after Y/n was sure that the woman was far away, she turned again to look at the closet where the stranger was still locked up. There was still one thing to take care of.
/////
When the man slowly reopened his eyes, he didn't expect to find himself tied to a chair. But when he realized what was keeping him tied up, he looked around in confusion.
"Hair...?" he murmured, still feeling some pain from the blow to his head.
He began to squirm to try to free himself, when suddenly a voice coming from the darkness made him stop.
"There's no point in doing that. Y-You're stuck"
"What?"
The man managed to glimpse someone moving in the shadows.
"I know why you're here. And i-i'm not afraid of you" the voice stammered.
He was about to answer her when the owner of the voice came out into the open. He looked at her, amazed that a beautiful girl like her could be found in such a tall and abandoned tower.
"Wow..."
Y/n bravely looked into his eyes, clutching the pan in her hands.
"Who are you? And how did you find me?" she asked narrowing her eyes and he looked at her confused again.
"Uh?"
"I said, who are you? And how did you find me?" the girl repeated.
He raised his hands in surrender as much as the hair binding him would allow.
"Look, I don't know who you are and i didn't come here for you. But i can say one thing..." he replied.
There was silence for a couple of seconds until the man looked at her with a flattering smile and raised eyebrows.
"Hi~"
Y/n looked at him slightly taken aback by his change in behavior, but despite his pretty face and his bright light eyes, she wasn't enchanted.
"My name is Perceval" the man continued, finally revealing his name. "How are you doing, chérie?"
“I will not be enchanted by your pretty words, Perceval” Y/n replied, taking a step towards him. "I want to know why you came in this tower. Were you looking for my hair?"
Perceval shook his head, making the flirtatious attitude disappear.
"Why on earth would i want your hair?? The only thing i want to do with it is just get rid of it! I swear!" he retorted.
Y/n walked around the chair he was tied to, swirling the pan menacingly.
"Then why are you here?" she continued to ask and he sighed.
"I was running away, okay? I wanted to find a place to hide and i ended up here" Perceval replied, when suddenly he realized that he was missing something. “Wait, where's my satchel??”
Y/n looked at him crossing her arms.
"I hid it"
"Give it back to me! That stuff is mine!" he retorted. "Listen chérie, if you give me back what you took from me, i swear i'll leave and you'll never see me again. And i won't tell anyone that you live here. It'll be as if we've never met. What do you think?"
Y/n fell silent and turned away so he wouldn't see her expression of hesitation. Should she trust this Perceval and let him walk away with the jewel as if nothing had happened? What if he was lying? But it seemed like he was telling the truth.
What do i do now?
Y/n looked around for an answer and when her eyes fell on her painting of the stars, another bright idea came to her mind.
"Okay, Perceval" she replied, looking back at him. "You will get your satchel back"
Perceval let out a whispered "Yes!", as Y/n climbed up until she got to the painting.
"But just-" she said and he rolled his eyes with a small groan. "If you'll take me to see these!"
“Are you talking about the lanterns?” he asked and she nodded.
"Tomorrow evening there will be those lanterns. You will accompany me to see them and you will bring me back here safe and sound. And it will be then and only then that i will give you back your satchel"
"Chérie-" sighed Perceval.
“My name is Y/n”
"Y/n. I'd like to help you, but the kingdom and i don't really get along, you know?"
“Oh…” Y/n looked at him with a fake sorry expression. "Then it means you will never get your satchel with your beloved jewel back, Perceval"
Perceval looked at her with unimpressed eyes, until he let out a desperate groan, tilting his head back.
"Argh, all right! You win! I'll take you to see the lanterns!" he exclaimed, making her smile. "But then i want my satchel back, let's be clear"
Y/n nodded with a satisfied smirk.
"It's a promise, Perceval. And i always keep my promises"
/////
Thus began the journey of the two protagonists. To tell the truth, the road from the tower to the kingdom wasn't that long. But having no horses or means of transport, the two had to go on foot. But for Y/n it was better this way. Walking in nature the girl could admire things she had never seen until then. She could hear the sounds of the forest animals, touch the leaves of the trees with her fingers and dip her feet in the cool stream. She had never felt so alive, that was the best day of her life.
Unlike her, Perceval looked at her more and more strangely.
"It's like you never left that tower" he murmured. “Have you never seen a tree or a bird?”
Y/n giggled nervously.
"Something like that..." she replied.
It was at that moment that only one small detail came to her mind: Gothel. For the first time in almost 19 years, Y/n had lied to her mother and broken the rules. Oh, what if she found out? How angry would have she been? How disappointed would have she been with Y/n's behavior?
Y/n stopped in her tracks and felt her bottom lip begin to tremble. Perceval also stopped when he noticed that she had stopped and as soon as he turned to look at her, she burst into tears, catching him off guard.
"WAAAH!"
Perceval's eyes widened, not expecting something like that so suddenly.
"H-Hey! What happened??"
Y/n fell backwards, sitting on the grass and pulling her knees to her chest as Perceval bent down next to her.
"Did you get hurt?!" he asked frantically, holding his hands in the air because he wasn't sure what to do.
Y/n nuzzled her face into her knees, wrapping her arms around her legs.
"I'm a terrible daughter!" she whimpered. "My mother will be so disappointed when she finds out what i did! She always worries about me and i disobeyed her!"
Perceval remained silent, letting her cry for a few seconds, but then placed a gentle hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Y/n. You just want to see those lanterns, right?" he asked her and she nodded. "Well, then i say you should focus on those and forget about your mother for a moment. You know, this is the thrill of life. You don't always have to do what people tell you, you have to do what your heart says"
Y/n sniffed, lifting her head to look at him and he gave her an encouraging smile. Then he stood up, offering her a hand and after a couple of seconds of hesitation she took it with a small smile, standing up.
"You're right" she said, wiping the tears from her face. "I want to see the lanterns and that's what i'll do"
"Great!" exclaimed Perceval. "And now-"
The sound of a bush starting to move interrupted him from finishing his sentence and Y/n ran to hide behind him with a cry, while with one hand she pointed the pan she had brought with her at it.
The two stared at the bush moving again, until an innocent little bunny popped out of it. Y/n let out a relieved sigh, while Perceval looked at her unimpressed. She immediately pulled away from him with a sheepish smile and red cheeks. She wasn't used to the outside world yet.
/////
“Perceval” Y/n called him suddenly.
"Mh?"
"Are you not hungry?"
He looked at her, seeing her rubbing a hand over her rumbling belly.
"Actually yes, it's better if we stop and eat something. I know the right place, let's go"
So the two arrived at an inn, which was called The Prancing Pony (this is a cit🤭). When Y/n opened the door and entered first, the music inside stopped. She didn't expect to see all the eyes of those present glued to her. Oh and she certainly didn't expect to see men who all looked mad criminals.
While she remained frozen in the doorway, Perceval casually passed her and she followed him glued to his back.
"Is... Is it normal all these men are here?" she whispered fearfully and he nodded.
"Oh, of course"
The two arrived at the counter behind which the owner was. Charles sat on a wooden stool and Y/n sat next to him.
“Sebastian, nice to see you” Charles exclaimed with a smile.
Y/n looked at Sebastian, who however didn't seem as happy to see Perceval.
"Perceval. Are you here because you got hungry after one of your thefts?"
Perceval rested an elbow on the counter, leaning forward.
"Something like that. Give me a jug of wine, please. And some water for the lady. You know, we have to go to town and we can't go there on an empty stomach"
Sebastian glanced at her, but then got to work and handed them their drinks. She thanked him quietly and then both she and Perceval began to drink.
"You shouldn't be here" Sebastian said, looking at Perceval.
"Huh?" the other replied from behind the mug. "Why no- AH!"
"That's why"
Someone behind Perceval grabbed him by his clothes, pulling him backwards and Y/n's eyes widened.
"Perceval!"
All the men in the inn surrounded Perceval, pointing their weapons at his throat.
"You have some nerve showing up here Perceval" one growled.
“Yeah, especially knowing the big price on your head” another continued.
Perceval chuckled nervously.
"P-Pierre, Esteban, hahaha. Come on, we are friends, right?"
The two, Pierre and Esteban, gritted their teeth, while another man stepped forward, making Perceval's eyes widen.
"Carlos! Hola mi amigo, how are you doing?" Perceval exclaimed with an uncertain smile, raising a hand in greeting. "I didn't see that you were here today too. S-Shall i offer you something?"
The man with the tanner skin and dark hair narrowed his eyes at him.
"You know Perceval, we still remember all the times you betrayed us to save your own skin. But now that you are here we could reclaim ourselves by giving you to the guards and take our reward"
Perceval swallowed fearfully, while Y/n tiptoed towards the group of men, lifting her beloved pan in her hands.
"C-Can't we talk about this in a civil way over a mug of wine? Huh?" Perceval tried to ask with a chuckle, but Carlos' only response was his dagger pointed at his cheek.
Perceval closed his eyes and just when he feared the worst, a loud noise rang through the inn.
SBANG!
Perceval suddenly opened his eyes again and like everyone else present, he turned to look at Y/n, who had just slammed her pan on Carlos' head. But alas, after that blow Carlos had not fainted at all like she had imagined. But Y/n, was not intimidated.
"L-Leave him alone!" she exclaimed, looking one by one at the men surrounding her. "He has to take me to see the lanterns tomorrow night, b-because it's the only dream i've had since i was a child! So i advise you to let him go or-or you'll deal with me and my pan!"
All the men looked at her in silence, surprised by her determination. Perceval and Sebastian, however, looked at her proudly.
"That girl has guts" Sebastian muttered with a smirk, crossing his arms.
Y/n's eyes widened when she saw Carlos walking towards her with an enraged expression on his face and she backed away in fear.
"Carlos, no! Wait!" Perceval tried calling him, but was ignored.
When Y/n came face to face with Carlos, she was almost on the verge of trying to smack him in the face again, but before she could, Carlos changed his expression.
“I have a dream too” he said in a pained tone. "I would like to be a farmer. I would like to marry a beautiful woman and live with her in a farm and be happily ever after"
Y/n slowly lowered the pan, looking at him with pity.
"Oh..."
Carlos sighed.
"We all have a dream" he said, then pointed with one hand to a boy sitting at a table. "My friend Lando would like to become a musician"
Lando raised a hand to greet Y/n with a shy smile, which she returned sweetly.
"And George knows how to sew beautiful clothes. He would really like to be a tailor" Carlos then continued, pointing to a man who was a little taller than the others in the middle of the group.
"I want to be a baker!" another of them then exclaimed, raising a hand.
"And i want to be a florist!"
Y/n smiled tenderly when she saw all those people who at first glance seemed like bad boys express their desires.
"And what is your dream?" they all asked in chorus, turning to look at Perceval, who had remained watching the scene with his mouth wide open.
“I-I…” he murmured, glancing at Y/n, who smiled at him. "I want to live surrounded by money and jewels! They are my only passion. Haha"
Everyone looked at him unimpressed, some even shaking their heads, while behind them Y/n hid a small laugh behind her hand. But then she composed herself.
"Your dreams are all beautiful" she said softly, looking at them all. "When i go to see the lanterns, i will make a wish for all of you and pray that your dreams come true"
All the men let out cheers, making her laugh.
“It's time to celebrate!” exclaimed one of them, whose name was Daniel. "Let's sing in honor of our dreams!"
So the music began again, accompanied by the out-of-tune singing and uncoordinated dancing of all the men present in the inn. But Y/n continued to laugh and celebrate with them. She had never attended a party like this, it was too much fun!
As Y/n and Perceval returned to sit at the counter, Carlos approached her again.
“Y/n” he called out to her.
"Yes?"
Carlos flashed her a smile.
"You have a good heart, girl. I hope you can see those lanterns"
Y/n smiled back.
"Thank you, Carlos. And i hope you find the love of your life" she replied.
Carlos then glared at Perceval.
"And you" she said, pointing a finger at him, making him jump. "Watch out for her. Protect her properly, otherwise me and the others will come looking for you"
Y/n giggled, while Perceval gave Carlos a couple of pats on the shoulder.
"Come on Carlos, who do you take me for? Y/n can't be in safer hands than mine, i swear"
Carlos rolled his eyes and without saying anything else he walked away to go celebrate with the others. And the exact moment he left, someone else took his place.
“Y-Y/n?”
Y/n turned around, meeting the eyes of a short Asian boy.
"My name is Yuki, nice to meet you" he said with red cheeks she smiled warmly.
"The pleasure is mine, Yuki"
Yuki smiled, then pointed with a finger at the long golden hair falling from her shoulders.
“May i ask why you have such long hair?”
Y/n nodded and so she and Yuki began a conversation under Perceval's tender eyes.
Suddenly, the door of the inn flew open and the party stopped.
"Perceval Leclerc! We know you're here!" a guard shouted from the doorway.
Both Y/n and Perceval stood up in fear, while a small group made of George, Esteban, Nico and Fernando, remained in front of them to cover them from the guards.
"Psst! You two!" Sebastian exclaimed softly from behind the counter. "Come down here, quick!"
The couple climbed over the counter, hiding at Sebastian's feet, while the guards began to search the inn. Y/n looked at Perceval, having no idea what to do, but he shrugged.
It was at that moment that Sebastian pressed his feet on a small lever under the counter and a trap door opened on the floor.
“A secret passage” whispered Perceval. "Brilliant"
Sebastian lowered his head to look at them.
"Go and live your dream" he whispered with a smile and Perceval turned to look at him.
"I will"
Sebastian glared at him.
"Your dream sucks. I was telling her"
Perceval slipped into the passage and before Y/n could follow him, she turned to look at Sebastian one last time with a smile.
"Thank you guys, for everything" she said, then stepped into the passage, leaving the voices of those she might consider her new friends behind.
"Yes, i believe this is the man you're looking for" Lando said, placing his hands on Oscar's back and making him take a step towards the guards. "Look at him, he's identical!"
/////
The sun went down and the stars painted the blue sky completely free of clouds, enveloping our two protagonists in darkness and the evening breeze, who after leaving the secret passage had returned to the forest, and then camped for the night.
Perceval was currently busy lighting the fire to keep warm, while Y/n watched him in silence from sitting on the ground. And the more she looked at him, the more she noticed details she hadn't noticed before. Despite the darkness, his large light eyes that shone in the sunlight during the day enchanted her, like the small mole he had on his cheek and the deep dimples that appeared at the sides of his mouth when he smiled and-
"Ouch!"
Y/n jumped, snapping out of her thoughts when she saw Perceval pulling away from the fire, which was now lit, while holding his hand.
"Is everything okay?" she asked worriedly, moving closer to him.
"Yes, nothing serious, just a minor wound"
Y/n took his hand, looking at the small cut on his palm. After a few seconds of hesitation, she looked into his eyes.
"I can cure you if you want"
"Pff, i appreciate your willingness chérie, but i don't think you have a magic potion that can make a wound disappear in seconds"
Y/n bit her lip, afraid that what she was about to do would have ruined everything. But she decided to try anyway. So she started wrapping his hand with her hair and he looked at her confused.
"What-"
"Trust me, please" she interrupted, looking at him. "But you have to promise me you won't panic. Okay?"
“Er, sure” Perceval replied, shrugging.
When Y/n was done, she started singing.
Flower, gleam and glow
Let your powers shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
It was a little song she learned from her mother when she was combing her hair. As she sang, his long hair began to shine and Perceval's eyes widened.
Heal what has been hurt
Change the fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine
When the song was over, Y/n moved her hair from Perceval's hand and he saw that the wound on his palm was no longer there.
He opened his eyes and mouth wide, lifting his head to look at Y/n.
"Y-You have magical hair?!" he exclaimed.
"Shh!"
Y/n quickly covered his mouth with her hands, while Perceval continued to look at her in surprise.
"You said you wouldn't panic!" she said, earning a string of words from him in response that she couldn't make out with her hand over his mouth.
Y/n let out a sigh and removed her hands, letting him speak.
“How can i not panic after seeing that your hair is magical??” he asked, this time in a more normal tone of voice, but still surprised.
"I don't know why it's like this, my hair has had this power since i was little. And when you cut it..." she reached behind her neck, tilting her head and moving the hair, so as to show Perceval a short lock of dark hair. “They turn brown and lose their power”
Y/n turned her head to look back at the fire, playing with her fingers.
“A-Are you…Are you afraid of me now?” she asked shyly.
Y/n hoped with all her heart that he wasn't. Perceval had become her first real friend in 19 years and if he abandoned her because he thought she was strange or if he told someone else... No, she didn't want to go back to being alone.
Her doubts were swept away when she suddenly saw his hand covering hers, then their fingers intertwining. Y/n looked up and when she met Perceval's sweet smile and dimples she felt her heart start to beat.
“I could never be afraid of you, Y/n” he said. "You are a strong and courageous woman and i know that you would only use your power to help others if you had the chance, just like you did with me. So no, i'm not afraid of you. In fact, i'm glad that fate brought us together"
Y/n looked at him with eyes shining in the firelight, as a relieved smile spread across her face. Perceval looked at her for another couple of seconds, then turned to look at the crackling fire as their joined hands slowly let go.
"You know, i have a secret too" he murmured and she looked at him curiously. "My name is actually Charles. Perceval is my third name"
"Third? How many names do you have?" Y/n asked him, her eyes widening.
"My full name is Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc. Nice to meet you" he said, looking at her with a smirk.
"Wow!" Y/n giggled. "I didn't know people could be born with more than one name"
"Oh and you haven't heard Carlos' other names. He has even more than me"
"Really??"
The two giggled again and then looked back at each other.
"Are you angry with me?" Charles asked suddenly.
“Why would i be?” she replied, tilting her head.
Charles shrugged.
"Well, because i lied to you. And i'm a thief, a criminal. Because of me you could get in trouble"
Y/n placed a hand on his knee, stroking it with her thumb, and smiled at him, just like he had done to her.
"I don't think you're really a criminal, Charles. Because otherwise you wouldn't have agreed to accompany me to see the lanterns. And thanks to you i'm discovering a world i've never seen and i've met new people. So i tell you that i am happy that fate brought us together too"
Charles looked at her and it was at that moment that he began to feel his heart beating a little faster than expected, but he paid it no mind.
"And i don't care how many obstacles we find, because i know that me, you and my pan together are invincible, don't you think?" she then said, raising her fist, making him laugh. "Of course, now i'll have to get used to calling you Charles, but honestly i like it better than Perceval as a name"
“I'm happy to hear it” he said then stood up and Y/n looked at him confused.
"I'm going to look for more wood. You stay here, i'll be right back"
Y/n nodded, watching Charles disappear into the darkness of the forest. She stayed looking at the fire with an enchanted smile, when suddenly she heard a noise coming from behind her.
"I finally found you, little flower"
Y/n jumped up and felt a pang in her heart when she saw Gothel's serious face light up from the fire.
"M-Mother! What are you doing here??"
"You dare ask me this question, Y/n? I'm the one who should ask you why you didn't stay in the tower, in your home"
Y/n clasped her hands together, feeling afraid of the icy eyes of the woman who was approaching her.
"I-I..."
Gothel let out a sigh.
"Never mind, now that i've found you we can go home. Come on, let's go"
As Gothel closed a hand around her wrist and began to walk towards the forest, Y/n planted her feet on the ground, causing her to stop.
"Mother no, wait!"
Gothel turned to her.
“Y/n…”
The girl looked at her with a pleading look.
"Mother, please. Tomorrow evening there will be the lanterns and i am so close to seeing them in person. Char- Perceval, he-"
“Let me guess, that criminal will take you to see those lanterns?” the woman asked, crossing her arms.
Y/n nodded with a small smile.
"Yes!" she exclaimed.
Gothel burst out laughing in her face.
“Oh my dear, do you really think someone like him actually wants to help you?”
Y/n looked at her puzzled and Gothel continued.
"Y/n, he's a thief. And he only thinks about money, he doesn't care about you"
Y/n clenched her fists.
"You're only saying that to convince me to go back with you! He is different from the others, mother, he is a good person"
Gothel rolled her eyes.
“Tsk, do you really believe that?”
It was then that the woman showed something from behind her back and Y/n's eyes widened. It was Charles's satchel which she had hidden.
"This the only reason why that man is taking you to see the lanterns. He's not doing it for you. Do you understand me now?"
Y/n remained silent as doubt began to invade her body. There was indeed a possibility that his mother was right. And also thinking about the dream he had expressed at the inn... No, Charles really wasn't that selfish... Was he?
Gothel approached the girl and dropped the bag into her hands, then leaned towards her ear.
"Give him back his treasure and you'll see how he'll run away like hell. And when you're alone, don't come crying to me, little flower" the woman hissed, making Y/n tighten her grip on the satchel.
Gothel walked away and she and the girl looked at each other one last time.
"And remember, mother always knows best" the woman said, then disappeared into the bushes.
Y/n stood there motionless, with a conflicted soul. Her mother's words swirled in her brain like a tornado, filling her with fears and insecurities as the seconds passed.
"Here i am!"
Y/n jumped, turning and encountering the figure of Charles holding a pile of wood in his arms. She didn't realize she still had a nervous expression on her face, because Charles looked at her slightly worried.
"Are you alright?" he asked her, dropping the wood to the ground.
Y/n nodded frantically, hiding his satchel behind her back.
“O-Of course” she replied with an uncertain smile. "Um, i think i'll go to sleep. I'm feeling tired. 'Night!"
Charles saw her lie down on the ground, on a bed of hair that she had improvised and turning with her back to him. He frowned, but then shrugged with a sigh.
"Goodnight"
/////
The next morning, Y/n shot her eyes open and jumped up with a yelp. She was happy and excited, not only because it was her birthday, but because she would finally have been able to see the lanterns.
"Charles!" she exclaimed, turning towards the boy, who was still sleeping soundly and running towards him, shaking him with her arms. "Wake up Charles! Wake up!"
Charles opened his eyes in fear and sat up.
"I'm awake! I'm awake i swear!"
Y/n smiled and grabbed his hand, lifting him to his feet and starting to drag him towards the street.
"Let's go! There's no time to waste! Hurry!"
“Y-Y/n, wait!”
/////
When Y/n entered the city, her eyes widened like never before and she spun around to look around.
The walls of the houses were covered with flags and garlands, music sounded everywhere and people dispersed among the various stalls selling objects and foods of all kinds. And while the girl was busy admiring the spectacle around her, behind her Charles took down a WANTED flyer from the wall showing her face, hoping no one had noticed.
When he looked back at her, he noticed that her long hair trailing down the street was attracting quite a bit of attention, not to mention how cumbersome it was for all the people passing by. Charles' eyes fell on a group of little girls who were braiding each other's hair and he smiled when an idea came to mind.
"Hey girls!" he called them.
The little ones raised their heads to look at him and their eyes widened when they saw the girl with long golden hair. Y/n greeted them with a wave of her hand, while Charles nodded towards her hair.
The girls smiled and after sitting Y/n on the floor, they got to work, starting to braid her hair. It took a while, but when the job was done Y/n turned to Charles.
"Charles"
Charles, who was distracted, turned towards her and his eyes widened when he saw the girls' work. Y/n did a little twirl, showing him her hair which was now tied in a long braid, decorated with many colorful flowers.
"Y-You... You look very pretty, chérie" Charles murmured enchanted.
Y/n smiled shyly, feeling her cheeks heat up, while the girls who were watching the scene high-fived each other with their hands, proud of their work.
Later, while Charles was busy buying something to eat, Y/n's eyes fell on a mosaic shining in the sun, in front of which people gathered to admire it. The mosaic represented the king and queen, who were holding a little girl in their arms.
How strange... Y/n thought, looking into the little princess's eyes. Was she wrong or did they look alike? But it could have been just a coincidence, right?
Y/n's attention was then attracted by someone who dragged her to dance and so the girl forgot the mosaic, abandoning herself to the music.
She saw Charles a little further away looking at her with a smile and his arms crossed and she invited him to dance with a wave of her hands. Charles shook his head with a laugh, but Y/n decided to gather courage and jumped towards him, grabbing his hands and dragging him onto the dance floor.
So the two began to dance and although they were literally surrounded by all the other dancing couples, for them it was as if there was no one else present.
When the song ended, Charles and Y/n stopped, looking into each other's eyes in silence. And they would have remained in that position looking at each other if it hadn't been for someone who announced that they were heading to the boats, for the time of the lanterns, forcing them to move away with shy smiles and red cheeks.
/////
As Charles rowed to sail the small boat through the water, Y/n sitting in front of him looked at the castle rising before her eyes with her heart beating with emotion. Finally the moment had come! The lanterns!
Silence reigned throughout the kingdom and as the minutes passed, the sun sank to the horizon, while the sky began to turn blue.
And suddenly, a single lantern rose from the castle and began to fly higher and higher into the sky. Then, a multitude of other lanterns followed her on their journey to the stars.
Y/n opened her eyes wide, admiring the light show that was taking place. And when she didn't think it could get any better, a little touch on her shoulder made her turn around. The girl saw Charles smile at her, while in his hands he held two lanterns, which were just waiting to be released and she delicately took one in her hands.
“Are you ready chérie?” he asked her.
Y/n nodded and together the two released the lanterns. They rose up into the sky, spinning as if in a dance and joining the immense luminous cloud that was filling the sky at that moment, until they lost sight of them.
Y/n watched them move further and further away, while inside she knew that she had now realized her biggest dream. Oh, obviously he didn't forget to think of the boys at the inn and expressed the wish that their dreams too could come true.
It was at that moment that a more important detail occurred to her.
"I have something for you, Charles"
Charles watched the girl bend down to pick up something at her feet and his eyes widened when he saw her clutching his satchel in her hands.
"I should have given it to you sooner, but i was afraid. But... Now i'm not afraid anymore, do you know what i mean?" she asked him.
Y/n thought that Charles would take the satchel and even if that happened, she was ready to accept it. But to her surprise, Charles placed a hand on the bag, lowering it to her legs. And with his other hand, he moved a lock of hair that fell on her forehead behind her ear, then rested it on her cheek.
"I'm starting to"
Charles leaned his face forward and even though Y/n had no idea what was about to happen, she did the same, letting the moment guide her. She closed her eyes, ready to feel his lips on hers and then-
"I have to do something" he said suddenly and she opened her eyes, looking at him.
He looked serious, so Y/n nodded with an understanding smile, trying not to show the disappointment she was feeling. Had she done something wrong?
"Oh, okay"
Charles rowed the boat towards land, out of the city and after it had docked he got out of the boat, taking his satchel in his hand.
“I'm sorry. Everything is fine, really” he said hastily, clutching his bag, while Y/n looked at him in confusion. "I'll be right back"
/////
When Charles approached he saw one of the two red-haired twins, the ones with whom he had stolen the princess crown before the beginning of the story, sitting on a rock, waiting for him.
"Heyyy guys~" Charles said with a fake smile, swinging his satchel. “It's been a while since we've seen each other, right?”
The twin with the eyepatch raised his head to look at him.
"Yes, since you left us in the hands of the guards so you could keep the treasure, Leclerc. We remember it well"
Charles chuckled nervously.
"Exactly haha... Um, you know what? I was thinking, how about we make up and put this thing behind us? There you go!"
Charles threw the bag containing the crown at the man's feet.
"I leave you the treasure. Keep it, i don't need it anymore. And now i'm leaving so-"
Charles turned around ready to go back to Y/n, but the other twin, the one without the eyepatch, appeared behind him, blocking his way.
"You're not going anywhere, pretty boy"
Charles swallowed, while his blindfolded brother stood up, walking towards him.
"You know, someone told us that you had something much more valuable than a jewel with you"
"And now we want her"
Charles grit his teeth and clenched his fists.
"Of you touch her, i swear i'll-"
"Pff, please" one of them interrupted him.
"What do you think you can do against us two alone?"
That was the last thing Charles felt before he received a strong blow to the head that knocked him unconscious.
/////
After a few minutes of Y/n waiting for Charles leaning against the boat, she suddenly heard the sound of footsteps approaching and stood up straight.
"Hey, i thought you were going to take the jewel and leave me here, haha" she giggled with a relieved smile, which however fell as the seconds passed when she realized that the shadow that was approaching her had split into two shadows.
Y/n saw two red-haired twins she had never seen before approaching and she took a step back in fear.
“That's what he did” the one with the eyepatch said with a smirk.
Y/n clenched her fists.
"Y-You're lying..."
The other pointed out to sea with one arm.
"See it for yourself"
Slowly Y/n looked back, taking a couple of steps towards the water. From there she saw a small boat that was moving further and further away. And above it, despite the distance, she was able to perfectly recognize the figure of Charles, with his back turned and his hands on the rudder.
"No..."
Y/n felt like her heart was breaking. It was not possible. He had really done it.
"Charles! Charles!" she tried calling him, but received no answer.
"It was really rude of him though" one of the twins said then. "Leaving a girl here alone and defenseless"
Y/n turned to look at them and felt fear invade her body when she saw them approaching her with menacing grins.
"A girl with magical powers too"
"Who knows how much people would be willing to pay to have someone like you"
Y/n's eyes widened when she saw one of the two men pick up a bag, big enough to fit her body.
"No, please!"
The girl turned on her heels, running away from their clutches, but suddenly her braid of hair got stuck on the branch of a trunk lying nearby and she began to pull it, trying to free herself. Y/n closed her eyes when she saw the twins approaching her, fearing the worst. But then she heard grunts of pain, followed by a familiar voice.
“Y/n!”
Y/n opened her eyes and they widened when she saw Gothel standing behind the bodies of the two twins, who were now lying on the ground unconscious, while the woman was holding a large tree branch in her hand that she had used as a weapon to hit them.
"Mother!"
Gothel quickly approached the girl, then closed her arms around her body.
"Oh my little flower, are you okay? Did they do something to you?"
Y/n shook her head and hugged her back, letting out a small sigh of relief.
"I'm so glad you're okay, but we have to go now. It's best to run away before they wake up" the woman continued, still referring to the two men.
Gothel took Y/n's hand and tried to drag her towards the woods, but noticed that the girl was still standing in her tracks, as if she seemed undecided.
Y/n looked one last time at the boat Charles was leaving in. And she realized that it would probably be forever. Then she turned to look at Gothel and saw the woman open her arms, inviting her with her. It was at that moment that Y/n felt her bottom lip begin to tremble and her eyes become teary. And she ran towards the woman he thought was his mother, hugging her for comfort.
"You were right, mother... You were right about everything. I'm sorry" Y/n cried and Gothel hugged her back, while together the two started walking home again.
“I know, darling. I know”
/////
Y/n remained lying on her bed staring at the ceiling of her room at the top of the tower. She couldn't help but think about Charles. And the more she thought about it, the more what she had done made her mad.
"Like everyone else. He's just a criminal like everyone else" she snorted, then stood up and began pacing the room.
"Idiot. Selfish. Stingy" she muttered angrily.
Sweet. Thoughtful. Fun. She even thought, before shaking her head to get those thoughts out of her head.
“The only thing he cared about in the first place was that stupid jewel!”
Y/n crossed her arms, thinking back to the crown Charles had stolen and thinking back to the time she had wanted to try it on, just out of curiosity.
And it was at that moment that she felt as if a boatload of memories were filling her mind. The crown, her hair, mother Gothel, the city, the mosaic of the royal family.
Y/n walked out of her room, joining Gothel, who was preparing food.
"Oh honey, there you are. I-"
“I am the lost princess” Y/n interrupted.
Gothel looked at her confused.
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"
"I said" the girl repeated, with a more resolute tone, looking into her eyes. "I am the lost princess. Aren't i?
Gothel giggled nervously.
“Hahaha, don't be stupid Y/n”
Y/n marched towards the woman, clenching her fists at her sides.
"It was you! It was always you mother! Or maybe i shouldn't even call you that?"
Gothel's smile slowly fell.
“Everything i did was to protect you” she said.
Y/n pushed past the woman with a small push, angrier than ever.
"Protect me?? Protect me?! I've spent my whole life in this tower, hiding from people who would use me for my power!"
“Y/n!” Gothel called after her, but the girl continued.
“But the only person i had to hide from was you!”
"And where on earth would you go out there without me? Uh, my dear?" Gothel asked from behind her. "Your beloved Charles will no longer be there for you!"
Y/n turned to her.
"What do you mean?"
"That man will be sentenced to death for his crimes. You will never see him again"
Y/n let out a small gasp of fright and felt as if someone had pierced her heart with a sword. Charles going to die?
"No no no, don't be sad little flower" Gothel murmured in a fake sweet tone, moving closer to the girl. "Besides, he left you, it's better this way. Don't you think-"
Y/n quickly blocked the woman's hand that was about to caress her head, squeezing her wrist between her fingers.
“Enough, mother” Y/n hissed through gritted teeth. "I will no longer be your prisoner"
Gothel tried to free herself from the girl's grip but it was no use.
"Now you will let me go out of this tower and i will go and free Charles. You and i will part forever and i'll return to my real family. Find yourself a new flower"
Y/n let her go and Gothel, taken aback, staggered backwards, hitting the nearby mirror, which fell to the ground, shattering into many pieces. Y/n looked at her fake mother for what she thought was the last time and walked towards the window so she could get out.
“You want me to be the bad guy?”
Gothel's voice murmured behind her and Y/n felt her blood freeze in her veins.
"Fine, then i'll be the bad guy"
/////
Meanwhile, at the kingdom's prison...
As Charles walked down the prison corridor escorted by several guards, he felt as if his heart had been ripped out of his chest and trampled on. Because of him, Y/n was suffering the consequences of his criminal actions, just as he feared. And above all he had abandoned her. Just when everything seemed to be going well, Charles had left her there, alone on that beach, in the hands of the two twins. He could only hope that she was okay and had managed to escape.
Charles glanced out the window and saw the hangman's rope waiting for him in the middle of the prison yard. Then, turning his head away, he saw two men with red hair locked in a cell next to him. He recognized them immediately, they were the twins. But how was this possible?
Charles broke away from the guards and approached the bars, grabbing the eyepatched twin who was nearby, pulling him as close as he could.
"Where is she?! Who is the person who told you about her?!" he shouted, wanting to hear news of the girl as soon as possible.
"It was an old lady! We don't know where she is, we swear!"
Old lady...
Charles realized that they were definitely talking about Y/n's mother, but he couldn't sit still and think about it because the guards grabbed him and started dragging him again. Charles began to squirm.
"Wait! You don't understand, you have to let me go! I have to save her!" he said, but of course it was useless.
Of the three guards who were with him, as soon as the one in front opened a door, he found himself lying on the ground due to a punch to the face.
The other two guards let out a cry and drew their weapons, ready to fight the intruder, while Charles widened his eyes with a smile.
"Pierre!"
Next the other two guards were hit from behind, taken by surprise.
SBANG! SBANG!
Charles laughed in surprise when he saw George and Alexander with two proud smiles on their lips, while both of them were holding...
"Pans! Brilliant!" Charles exclaimed.
Pierre approached him, freeing him from the chains that bound his hands.
"I specify that we are doing this for Y/n. Not for you" the frenchman murmured, looking at him with a smirk and Charles rolled his eyes.
The four went out into the courtyard, where Carlos and the others were waiting for them.
"Quickly! Over here!" Lando exclaimed, leading them towards a rope hanging from the prison walls.
Charles looked at the rope and then turned to his rescuers, smiling sincerely at them.
"You guys, thank-"
But before Charles could cling to it and climb over the walls, the army of soldiers began to invade the courtyard, rushing towards them.
"You'll thank us later cabron!" Carlos exclaimed, and then ran towards the guards together with the others, so as to buy Charles time.
The only one who remained with Charles was the english Lewis, who looked at the younger man and pointed the rope with a nod.
"We left you a horse out there. Go to her. And be careful"
Charles nodded with determination and grabbed the rope in his hands, ready to climb.
"I will"
/////
Charles had never run so fast in his life. I mean, it was actually the poor horse that had galloped all the way, but you know what i mean. He arrived at the tower and rushed under it, his heart beating anxiously to see the girl again.
"Y/n! Are you here?!" he shouted with his head tilted towards the window.
Charles received no response, but he did not give up.
"Y/n! Let your hair down! Y/n!"
And finally, after seconds of silence that seemed infinite to him, he saw a long golden hair fall towards him. Charles let out a sigh of relief and, clutching her hair in his hands, he climbed back up the tower.
"I thought... I thought i lost you, chérie" he gasped, climbing through the window with a smile.
Smile that vanished when he saw the girl tied to a chain and gagged in front of him, who was trying to talk to him, to warn him. Charles started to approach her, but didn't notice how Gothel had slipped out of the darkness behind him.
Y/n watched with terrified eyes as Gothel stabbed Charles, piercing his abdomen with her dagger. She screamed his name from behind the gag, watching him fall to the ground and pressing his hand to his wound.
"Good. Now our secret will die with him" said the icy voice of Gothel, who was clutching the still bloody dagger.
The woman returned to Y/n and after taking the chain she began to drag her away, trying to take her towards the exit of the tower.
"You and i, on the other hand, will go where no one can find us. Never again!" she said, while Y/n began to squirm more than before, with the sole intention of reaching Charles.
"Y/n! That's enough! Let's go!" Gothel exclaimed angrily,
But the girl didn't listen to her and continued to move and move until the gag covering her mouth slipped down her neck, giving her a chance to speak.
"No! Please!" the girl exclaimed desperately. "Please let me heal him"
Gothel stopped to look at her suspiciously.
"If you let me heal him, i'll come with you. I'll follow you and stay with you forever, like you always wanted"
Y/n looked at her with a pleading look, praying that the woman had still some mercy inside her heart.
"I'll do anything you want, i promise" the girl said looking the woman in the eyes. "But please, just let me heal him"
Gothel remained silent for seconds that seemed endless to Y/n, but then she bent down to free her from the chain, then she went to Charles and tied him to the stair railing.
“In case you get the idea to follow us” the woman hissed after chaining him, then she walked away and left room for Y/n.
"Charles!"
Charles squeezed his eyes shut with a groan of pain, but opened them again when he felt the girl kneel next to his body.
"Let me see" she murmured hastily, making him move his hand away from the wound.
Y/n felt her heart beat quickly in anxiety when she saw the blood stain that was slowly spreading under his clothes and she tried with all her might not to panic.
"O-Okay, it's okay" she said nervously, lifting a shaking hand to stroke his hair, then resting it on his cheek. "I'm gonna take care of you and you'll get better, okay Charles? It's okay, don't be afraid"
"Y-Y/n-" he tried to call her, only to stop due to a cough. "Chérie..."
"Shh, everything's going to be alright, i promise. You just have to trust me" she murmured in fear.
Y/n started to wrap her hair around Charles' body, but stopped when she saw his hand covering hers and raised her head to look at him.
“No, i-i can't let you do this, Y/n” he said, gasping in pain.
"And i can't let you die" replied the girl, looking at him with shining eyes.
Charles shook his head.
"Y/n i... I can't lose you"
Y/n gave him an encouraging smile, squeezing his hand.
"It's going to be okay, Charles"
The two looked at each other for the last few seconds and Y/n opened her mouth to start singing, but was interrupted by Charles' voice.
“Y/n” he called softly, making her open her eyes to look at him. "Wait..."
He raised a hand so he could move her hair behind her ear, in the same sweet and delicate way he had done on the boat. Y/n saw the man lean forward and so she did the same, believing that what they were about to exchange was their first and last real kiss of her life. But before she knew it, Charles gripped her hair with one hand, while with the other...
ZAC!
Y/n's eyes widened, immediately putting a hand to her head and her heart fell when she realized that her long hair had just been cut.
"NO! WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Gothel suddenly barked.
The girl turned around quickly and saw a fragment of the mirror that had broken, on the ground next to her hair. Gothel, in desperation, began to pick up Y/n's hair, which was darkening second by second, in the hope of being able to hold on to the last second of youth she had left. But when even the last tip of her hair turned brown, Gothel began to feel the strength abandoning her body and saw her hands losing color and fill with wrinkles.
"No! No! No!" the terrified woman screamed, taking steps backwards. "NOOO!"
Y/n reached out to her by instinct and when she was about to stand up and reach her, she saw her kneeling on the ground with her hands pressed to her face. Gothel let out one last scream before her body disappeared in a pile of dust on the carpet. And Y/n would have loved to stay and mourn the passing of the woman who had taken care of her for 19 years, but there was another even more important person she was about to lose.
"Oh no, no no no..." she murmured hastily, looking back at Charles. "Charles!"
She took his face in her hands, looking with fearful eyes at his which were tired and on the verge of closing forever at any moment.
"Look at me, Charles! Stay with me!"
Y/n grabbed his hand and ran it through her short, dark hair, then quickly spoke the words to the song.
"Flower gleam and glow, let your powers shine"
“Y/n-” Charles called with a cough.
"Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine"
“Y/n”
The girl looked at him, letting out a sob when she realized that there was nothing left to do.
"Why did you do that? You fool…" she muttered, but what she earned in response from him was a simple, light smile.
Charles wanted to tell her many things at that moment, including how beautiful he found her even with her eyes full of tears. But he only squeezed her hand one last time.
"You were my new dream"
Y/n smiled tenderly.
"And you were mine"
Those of Charles were the last words that the girl heard before he took his last breath, while the grip on her hand loosened until it completely disappeared. Y/n looked at his still chest and his face now free of any pain with her trembling lip and then she began to sing again, pushing through the pain she felt in her heart with the passing seconds.
Flower, gleam and glow
Let your powers shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt
Change the fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine
She had lost him forever. She closed her eyes and began to cry, lowering her face to his and letting her tears fall onto his cheeks.
Long seconds passed before Y/n noticed a glow coming from Charles' body, more precisely where he had been wounded on his abdomen. Her eyes widened when she saw long rays of light coming out of his body and enveloping the entire room, as they took the shape that looked like a flower. The girl watched that beautiful sight until the lights finally disappeared, along with Charles' wound.
Then she heard the sound of breathing and Y/n whirled around looking at Charles' face.
“Y/n…”
Her heart began to beat again with joy when she finally saw his eyes open again.
“I... I think this haircut looks suits you so much better, you know?” he asked with a smile.
"Charles!"
Charles was taken aback when he felt her threw herself against his body, hugging him around the neck. But he couldn't help but do the same, wrapping an arm behind her back and holding her close, with his face bent on her shoulder, not wanting to let her go for anything in the world. It was in that moment that he realized how much, in those lifeless seconds, he had missed being able to be close to her, comfort her, hug her and above all love her. Charles had truly found his new and only dream.
Y/n pulled away so she could look into his clear eyes, her hands tightening on his clothes. Charles smiled at her and reached out to her face to wipe away the last tears that had fallen from her eyes.
And then she suddenly kissed him. But he didn't object, on the contrary he accepted her lips with joy, not expecting anything else. And it didn't matter if the two had only known each other for a few days. It was fate that brought them together. They had both found someone who truly loved them for who they were and each willing to do anything to protect the other.
They were soulmates.
/////
Y/n looked anxiously at the castle doors, playing with her fingers and moving her feet nervously. But she stopped when she felt Charles' warm hand wrap around hers, making their fingers intertwine to calm her anxiety. She turned to look at him, meeting his eyes and his smile.
“It'll be okay, chérie” he murmured, stroking the back of her hand with his thumb.
She took a deep breath, looking at him with a smile and nodding.
Suddenly the doors in front of them opened and the girl's heart sank as she saw the figures of the king and queen before her eyes. Everyone present stood still for a few seconds, still shocked. Then the first to step forward was the queen, who advanced towards Y/n, followed next by her husband. Y/n in turn walked towards them, dragging Charles' hand behind her until he slowly let go.
When she was in front of her, the queen placed her hands on the girl's cheeks and looked her straight in the eyes. But despite the different length and color of her hair compared to her birth, the two royal spouses recognized her. Their beloved daughter had returned.
The three hugged each other and Y/n couldn't stop herself from crying silently against her mother's chest, feeling the warmth of the two parents enveloping her after a long time.
Charles watched the scene with a tender smile, preferring to remain on the sidelines and leave the sweet moment to the family. But then he saw the queen lift a hand from her daughter's body, offering it to him. Charles took it, believing that it was just a gesture to thank him for bringing the princess home, but the woman dragged him into the group hug, catching him off guard.
Y/n giggled, looking at Charles and he looked back, tilting his face so he could rest his forehead on her head. Finally she was home.
/////
Well, now i think you may have understood how our story ends. And what would a happy ending be without a beautiful wedding?
Charles abandoned the identity of Perceval the Thief, in order to return to living the life of the real Charles, free from all crime. He and Y/n got married and their wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings in the entire kingdom. They celebrated for days, both to celebrate the union between the two protagonists and to celebrate the return of the princess. And you can imagine who was invited to the wedding as a sign of thanks from Charles and Y/n, to those who had helped him escape from prison, right?
It was during the celebrations that Carlos met the woman he fell in love with, who became the love of his life. Lando managed to become a musician, George got a job as a tailor and so on... Everyone achieved their greatest dream. Everyone got their happy ending that they deserved.
Oh and if you're wondering who between Charles and Y/n proposed to the other...
"She asked me. Several times. So i couldn't say no to the poor girl, if you know what i mean"
"Charleees..."
"Okay, fine... It was me. And of course she said yes, i mean, have you seen me? How can you not marry a guy like me?"
So they lived happily ever after.

Could it be possible to request doflamingo reaction to him finding out through his spies or Ceasar that he has a daughter ? I think it's a 50/50 with him like I can totally see him going out to bring her to him. The 50/50 comes to the way he'd treat her. She is a Donquixote after all. Idk with how things ended with Cora if he would be gentle with her. Or just end up trying to using her in some scheme? If you don't have any ideas for how the story should go? Maybe Law and the strawhats learn about her? Maybe she's scared of the family and outsiders and they try and help her?

Broken Bonds (Doflamingo x f!teen!reader)
A/N so I got these request, and I kinda merged them together to make this piece, Doflamingo is problabky Ooc here simply because that ass wouldn’t be soft but we have the power to change that ✊🏽Maybe a cook?? Maybe, maybe a sizzle.
Reader here is replaced by the placeholder, Dokusha which means reader in japanese

“Let go of me, idiot,” she growled, sending a swift kick to the guard that was currently holding her down
Dokucha had chosen to take on a mission on Dressrosa despite Sabo’s and Koala’s concerns. In the end, they understood that this was something she needed to do. And so she set off to begin gathering information on the Kingdom. However, the mission quickly turned wrong as she was caught trying to sneak into the castle. Now, she found herself being brought to the very man she was supposed to collect information on
Doflamingo sighs, swiftly wrapping strings around the teen to prevent her from further attacking his guards
“Leave,” he ordered, glaring at the guards, who nodded and made a quick exit from the throne room
She refused to look at him, instead focusing her attention on the strings wrapped around her limbs, glaring at them and tentatively pulling at them
“You’ve grown.”
“I'm surprised you recognize me,” she quips back, giving up on messing with the strings and turning to glare at him
“Of course, I still remember the little girl who was stolen from me.” Doflamingo’s lips slightly curved upwards
“I would hardly call it stolen; Uncle Corazon saved me that day, saved me from you.”
“From me?” He said in a soft tone and smirked
“I’ve never harmed you.”
“Who knows what would have happened if I stayed? Maybe I would have become another puppet of yours, or maybe you would have killed me like you did Uncle Cora.”
“I wouldn’t have harmed you; after all, you were still my kin.”
“He was also your kin, your own brother!” she growls at him, a frown growing on her face
“He was a weak-willed, useless fool,” Doflamingo said, showing no hesitation in belittling his dead brother
“Besides, he was the one who went against me; all I did was take care of my problem.”
“Shut up, you don’t get to slander his name!”
“you never met him; you were a baby, so how would you know anything about him?”
“Law told me about him; he never forgot about him, and he told me all about him and you.”
Doflamingo frowned,
“So that boy brainwashed you, didn’t he?”
“You were the one who brainwashed him, and it would have worked if Corazon had not saved him back then.”
“Law was weak, and he paid for it,” Doflamingo said carelessly before standing up and walking toward her
“Law is not weak; he is one of the strongest men I know, something you will never be; he raised me; I got to be a strong independent woman; I got to join the Revolutionary Army to take down assholes like you.”
“You’re still a child who has no understanding of how the world around you works,” he said, getting closer to her
“And you’re still a tyrant who thinks the world revolves around you.”
“Do you really think you’re free? The only reason you aren’t in my dungeons is because you are my daughter, the one that was taken away from me.”
“Oh, how kind of you,” she sneers, sarcasm dripping from her words
“Come back home; there is a throne waiting for you,” he said, placing his hand on her cheek, cradling her face
“What? What are you on about?”
“You would be the princess of the Dressrosa kingdom; what’s so bad about coming back?”
“Like I would come home to a murderer like you,” she said, pulling her head away
“But I’ve never hurt you; I’ve never laid a finger on you,” he said, his voice soft and sincere
“You killed him,” she cried
“You expect me to come home after what you did to him? After what you did to Law?”
“That was a punishment, one he got for betraying me; he knew the consequences of his actions,” Doflamingo said, ignoring her mention of Corazon
“How could you say something like that?”
“Because it’s the truth,” he said, “he knew what would happen if he betrayed me.”
“I loved him, but all he did was betray me, and he got what he deserved.”
“He didn’t deserve to die! You made his life hell from the moment he was small, so how could he not try to bring you down?!”
Doflamingo chuckled,
“I just did what I had to do; I never mistreated him; in fact, he was the closest person to me until he turned on me.”
“Are you going to say the same about Law?”
“Yes,” he said, his tone remained the same and calm
She shakes her head, tears sprouting in her eyes. How could someone think that way of their own family, of a child? As she grew older, Law began to disclose more and more of what had occurred between the three of them, and every time, she grew more saddened as to the harsh life both Law and Corazon had to endure due to Doflamingo
“They were right,” she cries
“I was hoping, wishing that maybe, just maybe, you had changed, but you are just as they described a monster.”
Doflamingo stayed silent, his face a blank canvas with no expression to decipher
His hand returned to her cheek as he listened to her, beginning to move his thumb across it, caressing it and wiping her tears off her face
He sighs, removing the strings keeping her in place
“Come home,” he said, his voice softened, looking at her with soft eyes
She shakes her head, pulling his hand away from her
“This is not home.”
He sighs again, allowing her to step back from him
“It seems no matter what I say, you will not listen to me, not in this state. Go to your room, rest, and we will discuss this tomorrow.”
“My room?” She seethes
“There is no room for me here; I do not live here, nor will I; if you think I'm just going to stay and play at home with you are wrong.”
He lets out a hum at that, a smirk growing on his face
“Perhaps not, but at the end of the day, you are still a prisoner here, so you don’t get a say on what I tell you to do.”
She opens her mouth to protest once again, but is stopped as one of the maids of the castle gently takes her hand.
“Bring her to her room for the night; I’ll send for her tomorrow,” Doflamingo commanded the maid
Despite how disgusted she felt at having to sleep under the man's roof, to accept anything he was giving her, she would need the strength if she wanted to fight down. As she was, she was simply no match for him, so she really didn’t have any other options
She glares at him, allowing the maid to pull her away
“This is not over.”
He chuckled at that, his smile a sharp one compared to the softness he had presented earlier
“I never said it was,” he said before waving her farewell as she was removed from the throne room
Okay let’s ignore the fact that Koala and Sabo, nor anyone in the revolutionary army would ever let a teen just wander off in a mission to spy such a dangerous person alone, and let’s also ignore the fact also wouldn’t just let a teen leave alone to join the revolutionaries until they were grown up 👍🏼 Gotta make the story happen ya’ll

poly relationship hcs ; crunchy chip cookie, red velvet cookie

requested by ; ⭐️ anon (27/04/23)
fandom(s) ; cookie run
fandom masterlist(s) ; hub | specific
character(s) ; crunchy chip cookie, red velvet cookie
outline ; “May I claim the ⭐️ anon? Or be super star anon? Any of those two will work!
Also May I request headcanons for red velvet x reader x crunchy Chip? Smut or fluff is up to you <3 I’m 18 btw!!”
note ; may be somewhat ooc as i’m not 100% sure how to make this throuple work considering canon haha ^^;
warning(s) ; none, just fluff!
hope you like dogs because, well, with these two as partners you will spend a lot of time surrounded by pups of various size — both the smaller cake hounds that will collect in groups to tackle you to the floor for cuddles and scratches, and the much larger cream wolves that will jump up on the bed with you and leave the three of you virtually no room to move (yes they have all been told to calm down and stop doing both of these things, no it hasn’t worked)
both of these men are extremely protective over you and would sooner let themselves crumble than allow any harm to come to you. at times this protectiveness can border on overbearing (especially given how intense they can both get about keeping you well away from any dangerous areas or individuals), but trust that they have your best interests at heart… just know that after you enter this relationship you will not be left alone for longer than a few moments at a time, either having one (or both) of your boyfriends by your side or having some of their dogs sticking close by to ensure that you don’t get hurt
whenever you get sick or injured these two become the ultimate caretakers: making sure you eat and drink enough each day, forcing you to take your medicine, refusing you to let you do things on your own, (lovingly) scolding you for not taking care of yourself, and getting into arguments with each other over who gets to do what for you (which would be cute… if you weren’t dealing with a migraine at the time)
after the war against dark enchantress cookie has come to a close, crunchy chip cookie returns to his post up in the mountains outside of the dark cacao kingdom while red velvet cookie chooses to stay at home and takes care of things in the domestic sphere. it’s a welcome change of pace after a lifetime of training and combat and violence, and he enjoys getting the chance to slow down and just take care of things for once (spoiling the dogs, putting his stronger cake arm to use by doing repairs around the house, catching up on chores, and running actual normal errands unrelated to the cake tower for the first time in his life), and he finds he actually has a talent for cooking and baking. this means that both you and crunchy chip cookie get to come home to a good hot meal everyday after work, which is always very openly appreciated (what with your compliments and the way that crunchy chip cookie scarfs it all down without any hesitation)
related to the previous point, but unless you opt to work with crunchy chip cookie in the mountains it’s inevitable that you’ll end up spending much more one-on-one time with red velvet cookie. of course he does his best to make up for his absence when he’s home with you both, but the fact still remains that red velvet cookie has the freedom to be by your side much more often than your other boyfriend does
both love it when you wear their clothing — red velvet cookie just happens to be much more subtle about it (won’t ask you to wear anything and won’t comment on it when he sees you in his jacket, but you will catch him smiling and staring at you when he thinks you’re not looking) while crunchy chip cookie is very blatant about how much he appreciates the sight (placing his coat over your shoulders even when you’re not cold, complimenting you for ‘looking good’ in his clothes, and getting a smug look on his face when others notice that you’re wearing something of his)
red velvet cookie prefers more relaxed dates (e.g. walking the cake hounds together, staying inside and reading, maybe going to a nice restaurant every once in a while), whereas crunchy chip cookie prefers more active and spontaneous dates (e.g. hiking, camping, etc.), and depending on your personal preferences the three of you tend to alternate between the two extremes on each date — though that doesn’t mean they won’t playfully complain about each other’s choices when conversations start to lull (e.g. calling a quiet night in ‘boring’ or commenting on how an impromptu climbing trip up the nearest mountain is ‘way too much’ for a weekday… but don’t worry too much, these complaints and arguments are mostly in jest and as long as you’re with them they don’t really mind what you’re doing)
crunchy chip cookie tends to stick to shorter pet names that are quicker and simpler to say (e.g. ‘babe’, ‘sweets’, or a shortened variation of your name), while red velvet cookie leans towards more traditional terms of endearment (like ‘darling’, ‘my love’, or ‘my heart’). for each other, though, they generally just tend to use their names… old habits die hard, apparently
both of them are quite physically affectionate but they go about it in different ways
red velvet cookie is more intentional in how he shows his physical affection: carrying you around in his arms when he notices you starting to ache or tire from walking, pulling you into his side with his larger prosthetic arm and rubbing his face into your neck when he’s feeling jealous, curling up against you and nuzzling his nose against your hair when you’re sleeping because that’s the only way he’ll get a good night’s sleep, massaging your shoulders and back when he notices you’ve been overexerting yourself, etc.
crunchy chip cookie, meanwhile, is much more casual about how he goes about being physically affectionate with you: slinging an arm across your shoulders or around your waist when you’re waiting in line for food, kissing your temple and messing up your hair when he passes by you when you’re relaxing at home, resting a hand on your back when you’re curled up on his chest in bed, flicking you on your nose when he thinks you’re being (affectionately) annoying, etc.
whenever crunchy chip cookie has to travel for work and he can’t take you two with him for one reason or another, he takes some items of yours to stop him from feeling homesick (even if he refuses to admit how much he actually misses you guys when he’s away) — usually this consists of a photograph of the three of you together, and some items soaked in your respective perfumes/colognes/scents to make it easier for him to fall asleep… cute
