Despite their independence, the Swiss remain neutral during conflicts, making the country a haven of diplomacy. In 1848, the Swiss federal state was established solidifying modern Switzerland's political structure. The country's policy of armed neutrality during the world wars therefore enhanced its reputation for peace, Swiss society is characterize by its diversity. The country's population is a mix of German, French, Italian, and Romans speakers. Its linguistic diversity reflects the coexistence of different cultural traditions and values, contributing to a multicultural society. The Swiss are known for their strong sense of community, punctuality, and precision.

During my visit in Switzerland I spend $70 to $100 per day and this includes staying in budget accomodations, eating budget restaurants, and using public transportation. But for mid range travelers, you can expect to spend around $200 to $300 per day. Switzerland has strict regulations that visitors should be aware of. It is essential and maintain cleanliness. Also, Switzerland is known for its impeccable public transportation, and understanding the timetables and ticketing system is crucial for an enjoyable visit.

Switzerland's culture and traditions are deeply rooted in its diverse linguistic regions, each in its own unique customs and heritage. And some of the Swiss culture and tradition are;

Festivities include fireworks, parades, and gatherings in towns and cities flags and enjoy traditional Swiss foods, including raclette and fondae. Swiss National Day is a time for the people of Switzerland to come together and commemorate their shared culture, history, and unity as a nation.

About the country's climate, it varies base on location and altitude. The alpine regions have cold winters and mild summers, making them ideal for winter sports. The lowlands experience milder winters and warmer summers. Swiss weather can be unpredictable, so its wise to dress in layers and be prepared for sudden changes.

It was surprising to hear from Rainier after a few months of missing their usual conversations about the town’s history and the mysteries surrounding the legends and myths of the Beast supposedly buried beneath the earth. It wasn’t like he broke contact but it did feel like he was holding back on their usual spheres of interest which they tended to discuss at length and in-depth whenever they met. She found it peculiar but almost understandable since this relative silence and sudden lack of interest in the topic on his part seemed to correspond with last year’s Ren Faire fiasco. Amy could put two and two together, she had her doubts and thoughts on it but didn’t press the man. He was old and wise and would come to her with renewed and once again open communication pathways when it was time.

Perhaps that time has come. Amy drove her teal grey Mini Cooper through the automated gates and into a wide driveway of an Ashmore estate she hadn’t visited before (she rarely found herself in Ashmore in general), for a moment marveling at the impressive and very satisfyingly blended combination of modern architecture and nature, getting the vibe of futuristic living that was adapted to sustain a highly eco-friendly environment. It was a wonder how a place this large could look so sterile, tidy and white while at the same time have trees, vines, flowers and grass all over it.

Leaving her car parked under the spacious carport covered in Boston ivy, her cone-heeled red shoes clicked against the bluestone walkway that lead her to the main door, where she buzzed the very technologically advanced intercom which felt like this intelligent AI taking care of a home that might just be a little bit smarter than her. A robotic voice coming from its speaker alerted her that ‘the door had been opened’ and that she ‘may enter’. So she did, walking into a vast space that matched the outdoor look. She read about these futuristic designs before, vaguely recalling them being called biophilic interior design. It was beautiful, a perfectionist’s dream come true if they could keep up with the maintenance, but she couldn’t imagine anyone living comfortably in a space that large and… contradicting. This is how Rainier would find her, gawking in the foyer, a flash of color among all the glossy white and green.

Listening experience of 'The Visitors' by Ragnar Kjartansson, consisting of 9 channel video projections and sound. Each channel has its own room tone, with the exception of one outdoor shot that is rich with insect ambient sounds. Most visitors sit fairly centred in the space, watching the musicians on the screens. But, by moving through the space, playing with proximity and distance, live movements and small details unique to each sonic space is revealed, eg.; splash of the bathtub (which is also intentionally used in the composition eventually), taps of instruments being arranged, mumbles, low sung words, breath...

Movement through the exhibition space results in a more dynamic listening experience. Yet the way the projections are setup does not invite this play of proximity and distance for the viewer as when I moved through the space, my shadow was projected onto each screen. It was difficult not to obstruct other people's view as the speaker(s) were placed in the centre of each image. In this case there was conflict between my ability to follow ears and eyes while interacting with the work.

Do these distinct room tones and outside ambiences matter less to the artist? Is there a listening hierarchy here in the way that the vocals and music are aligned and foregrounded to draw our focus? Is it disregard for ambiences? I mean, it's ok if it is. Instead of a clean studio like recording, I found all of these small ambient sounds gave life to the work; we hear a lived-in space, we hear old mansion architecture, a space that is alive, and with one performer per room we have an allusion to the synchronization of the performers through space and time.

"Explore – Projection Mapping at Art on theMART 2022" is part of a massive digital art installation that illuminates the surface of theMART building in Chicago. This project is one of the largest permanent projection mapping globally, using advanced projection technology and sound to create an immersive experience.

The installation uses 34 Christie Boxer 4K30 projectors to cast light onto the building’s south surface. These high-brightness projectors ensure clear visuals even surrounding in city lights.
