DC x DP Prompt: Ouranos Reborn
The JL learn of a prophecy stating that Ouranus would be reborn in mortal flesh, die and revive, and gain the power to destroy the world.
A cult tries to summon Ouranus back into the world and the heroes try to stop them.
They fail.
The ritual is completed and inside the summoning circle is a teenaged Caucasian boy with a NASA sweatshirt who looks just as confused as the rest of them.
TLDR: Danny is the reincarnation of Ouranus and the future Ancient of Space.

Creation
Before there was Chaos, there was nothing. Chaos, in all their glory, was nothingness. However, once a consciousness formed, They desired to create. Chaos' first creation was the primordial goddess Gaia.
Gaia was the mother earth. In all primordial fashion she could roam as a humanoid on earth. And she was beautiful. With skin made from soil and hair of hanging moss and vines, she visited her realm with love and hope.
After hundreds of years, Gaia grew bored and lonely. To combat her problems, she asked her creator to make her a companion. Chaos heard her prayers and constructed a dome to cover the earth. Chaos constructed her husband’s domain, the sky.
And from the sky, came Ouranus.
What was there to stop Chaos from making more Primordials? From that thought out spawned the seas, the air, and the Pit.
At first, things seemed perfect. But as time moved on, things began to change. Tensions rose as all three realms gained sentience. Not for the air, however, Aither didn’t care about anything of importance. But Pontus, Tartarus, and Ouranus could tell that Gaia was important.
All three primordials fought for her affections, but only one prevailed. Ouranus and Gaia married in the sky, creating the first constellations. During the fights, the great Gap found Themselves drawn towards Tartarus. They decided to pay Tartarus a small visit.
Chaos went down to the pit of Tartarus with a proposition. They would help the Pit make Gaia ‘jealous’ in exchange for one night together. Tartarus agreed, and from that agreement spawned Nyx, goddess of the night and darkness.
Gaia wasn’t jealous, of course. For now, she was happily married to Ouranus.
After Nyx was born, Chaos grew dormant. They had been around for millennia and needed a break. They stayed around for a bit, but eventually They went to sleep for the first time in years.
Gaia and Ouranus were happy together, they were young and in love. They were foolish for thinking that would last. In the last year that the Gap was around, Gaia gave birth to twelve children. They were called the Titans and they were large, tall, and powerful humanoids.
Ouranus despised fatherhood and his children. He left to the skies, leaving Gaia to raise twelve children by herself. He was distant and morose. He despised going to earth but he also despised how much happier Gaia was with their kids than with him.
Ouranus and Gaia decided to try again, thinking that surely things would turn out better if they were both in the picture.
The Earth and Sky embrace once more.
Another set of kids were born, triplets. But unlike the Titans, they were not as pleasing to look at. Each child was born with one eyeball in the middle of their foreheads. These were the Elder Cyclopes, and Gaia adored them.
Ouranus was seething. He couldn’t see why Gaia loved these monstrous children. He couldn’t fathom how they brought her joy. So he wrapped them in chains, tossing them into the Pit.
Gaia was furious, those were their children! She yelled and screamed and cried for Ouranus to give them back. She loathed how he dismissed her so quickly.  But she still loved him.
And eventually, he came back to try again. And eventually, she came around. So they had a second set of triplets, these ones more monstrous than the last. The Hecatonchires were each born with fifty faces and one hundred arms. Once again, Ouranus was repulsed. Once again, their children were wrapped in chains and thrown into Tartarus.
Gaia was outraged. She had raised twelve children all by herself and was throwing it all away for someone who has  done nothing for her. Gaia told Ouranus to get off her ground. He didn’t deserve her or their children, and that he will pay for his choices.
Ouranus didn’t believe her, but he left to escape her yelling. He left Gaia to her own devices. Not knowing that a plot against him was already being hatched.
Gaia returned to the Titans with the first weapon, the first scythe. She asked them to get rid of their father, permanently. The Titans were uneasy because how does one kill a god?
All except one backed down from the challenge, Kronos, the youngest and cruelest titan. Kronos knew exactly how they should commit this act. First, Gaia would lure Ouranus down, enticing him with forgiveness. Then, four titans would hold their father down. Finally, he would use the scythe to cut their father into pieces.
Gaia wasn’t fond of her son’s plan, but she went along with it. Gaia invited Ouranus down to discuss their children and relationship.
And like clockwork, he took the bait.
While Gaia and Ouranus were conversing, Krios, Koios, Hyperion, and Iapetus were waiting for their brother’s signal. They waited and waited until they saw it, a quickly dying tree. Then they pounced.
When Ouranus was restricted by 4 of his sons, he didn’t even know their names. Then Kronos came out from his hiding spot, scythe in hand. Kronos smiled cruelly at his father, he would enjoy what happened next.
Kronos hacked his father into pieces, but not without consequence. Before he died, Ouranus cursed Kronos to have the same fate as him, overthrown by his children. Yet Kronos didn’t care, he was now king.
When Kronos was finished, he threw his father's remains into the oceans. Ouranus' blood was spilled everywhere and from it spawned all sorts of mystical creatures. The dangerous Furies, daimons of punishment. The ethereal nymphs, spirits of nature. The wild satyrs, half goat party animals. And finally, born from sea foam and the blood of Ouranus, Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty.

Zeus swallowed Metis after a prophecy told him that she would give birth to a son that will overthrow him.
Dude literally said: "Don't eat the children, eat the mother instead."
Ouranus: Overthrown and maimed by his youngest son, Kronos.
Kronos: Overthrown by his youngest son Zeus
Zeus: can't be Overthrown by his youngest son if he keeps having kids.

Bharani : the birth of Venus.
Part 1
Tumblr media
Let's talk about ancient godesses of love and Bharani nakshatra.
I will base my research on the legend of the dead and resurrected god present in many religious myths coming from the middle east (ps : i'm sorry in advance for the grammar, syntax or spelling mistakes that you may find in this post, english is not my first language)
Bharani, situated in the heart of the rashi of aries is governed by Shukr: Venus but also by Yami and Yama in vedic mythology who are twins and gods respectfully of life and death.
Tumblr media
Yama, the main deity of Bharani is said to be one of "8 celestial gatekeepers, who guards eight directional doorways or exits through which souls travel from an earthly plane to other planes of existence" making him the lord of Dharma since at one's death, he decides basing on his actions in what plane should one reincarnate.
Tumblr media
Since Yama is responsible for directing the flow of life on Earth the association between bharani and the yoni becomes evident: the female reproducting system serves as a portal for souls to take on a physical form. So bharani as Claire Nakti perfectly described it relates to the feminine ability to receive, hold, nurture and ultimately transform through the womb.
Because Bharani aligns itself with all the feminine qualities by excellence it makes sense as to why Venus is it's ruler.
Venus is the roman name for the goddess Aphrodite: in greek mythology. She is said to be the goddess of love and beauty at large but also the goddess of war and sexuality. First because the ancient greeks saw the duality that links love to war and how they seem to come together through sex.
Also, Aphrodite is said to be born from the sperm of Ouranos when his testicules got cut by his son Saturn as he was always feconding Gaia, the Earth and causing her distress: he was acting cruel regarding their children. The sperm of Ouranus got mixed up with the foam of the Ocean creating Aphrodite which means "risen from the foam". So it was interesting to see that as Shukr also means sperm in sanskrit and it shows the origin of Venus as a fertility goddess too.
Tumblr media
This conception of Aphrodite directly links her to ancient goddesses of love such as Ishtar or Inana in Mesopotamian/summerian mythology or Isis in egyptian mythology. Most of the time, these goddesses are the female counterpart of a god that was once mortal, got cursed, died and then came back to life for them to form an immortal couple.
In the case of Ishtar, her consort is Dumuzi or Tammuz and Osiris is the consort of Isis.
In Mesopotamian mythology :
Ishtar or Inana in sumerian is the goddess of love and sexuality, beauty, fertility as well as war because of her status as a " bloody goddess" mostly refering to her character in plenty of myths.
Tumblr media
For example: in one story, she became infatuated with the king Gilgamesh, but the latter knowing her fierce reputation, refused her advances. As a result she got furious and unleashed the celestial Bull on Earth which resulted in 7 years of plagues. This celestial bull was later defeated by Gilgamesh and Endiku, and its corpse was throwed in front of Inana. Blinded by rage, she decided that as a punition Enkidu must die and sad at the death of his bestfriend Gilgamesh began his journey to find a cure to Death.
Bharani is a fierce or Ugra nakshatra meaning that its nature is agressive, bold and assertive in pursuing their goals. They are ruthless in the process of accompling what they desire the most and are inclined to extreme mood swings that can result in them to be "blinded" by their extreme emotions perfectly expressing the passionate character of Venus and her other equivalents in differents pantheons of antiquity.
Inana/ Ishtar's story with Dumuzi/Tammur begins as she was convinced to chose him by her brother Utu. Then she got married with the shepphard Dumuzi instead of whom she prefered the farmer: Enkinmdou. During the courtship, Inana prefered the fine textile of the farmer and his beer rather than the thick wool and milk of Dumuzi. The preference for the shepphard illustrates that at the time the Mesopotamian civilisation was known for their proliferent agriculture with the egyptians in the region, so this myth encapsulate the opposition between nomads and sendatary people at this specifific time period.
Tumblr media
By the way, another symbol of Bharani is the cave and traditionnaly, the cave was used as a storage room for food. Also Bharani's purpose is Artha so these individuals are motivated to accumalate resources and provide safety and security, so Bharani can be linked to the exploitation of natural ressources like the soil illustrating the preference of Ishtar for the farmer. This is reinforced also by its Earth element.
So coming back to the myth, in a mesopotamian text called Inana's Descent to the Underworld, the goddess goes to Kur (hell) with the intent of conquering it, and her sister Ereshkigal who rules the Underworld, kills her. She learns that she can escape if she finds a sacrifice to replace her, in her search, she encounters servants who were mourning her death however she finds Dumuzi relaxing on a throne being entertained by enslaved girls. Enraged by his disloyalty she selects him as a sacrifice and he is dragged to the Underworld by demons.
He is eventually resurrected by Inana and they become an "immortal couple" as he may only come back to life for half of the year, being replaced by his son (?) who is also his reincarnation for the other half of the same years, so describing the cycle of regeneration of life.
Other mythologycal stories of goddesses in the near east describe a similar patterns:
The goddess Asherah is described as being the mother and the lover of her son Adonis.
Tumblr media
The goddess Cybele in the phrygian pantheon takes the form of an old woman as she described as the mother of everything and of all. And at the same time she is the consort of Attis who his her own son (wtf ?)
Tumblr media
Also, Yama and Yami are implicated in a incestuous entanglement where his sister Yama wanted to lay with him however he refused establishing himself as a god with an infaillible moral campus.
All of these representations illustrate the relation between the masculine and the feminine, life and regenration which are all topics related to Bharani nakshatra. Women by their capacity to give life are seen as the source of life and therefore are eternal as they are able to regenarate themselves through daughters which are identical to them whereas man who is unable to reproduce by himself, is therefore mortal feels the need to associate with her to resurrect through a son who is identical to him. Bharani exiting as the embodiment of the link between "the father and the offspring" which is the feminine vessel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this is certainly part 1, I think that these ancient myths are where Claire Nakti found her inspiration for her series on Bharani.

APHRODITE
“Muse, tell me the deeds of golden Aphrodite the Cyprian, who stirs up sweet passion in the gods and subdues the tribes of mortal men and birds that fly in air and all the many creatures that the dry land rears, and all that the sea: all these love the deeds of rich-crowned Cytherea."   (-Homeric Hymn, translated by H.G. Evelyn white)
APHRODITE (a-fruh-DIE-tee) (Roman- Venus); The goddess of love, pleasure, and fertility, was born from Ouranus' severed penis which was cast down into the sea by his son, the titan Cronus, and the resulting sea spray. While in some versions she is the daughter of Zeus and a sea nymph name Dione.
She reclines upon a swan (early depictions in ancient Greek art show her riding a swan, a symbol of grace and divinity) and underneath is the commonly portrayed scallop shell. Aphrodite holds her sacred golden Apple of Discord, won by Paris choosing her in the beauty contest between her, Athena, and Hera. Upon her waist sits a golden chastity belt, said to invoke lust in gods and mortals alike.
Aphrodite had a lively entourage. Resting upon her arm, is Eros, the winged godling and her companion, (later becoming cupid in roman culture) who whispers sweet sensualities, while a couple Erotes(more winged godlings associated with sex and love) flitter above tossing flower petals. Frolicking at the lower left are three goddesses, the Charites(or Graces) who symbolize beauty, dancing, and banquets. Swimming atop the dolphin is a Nereid, a reference to Aphrodite's oceanic roots. and finally, above right, near the waterfall, are three more goddesses, the Horai, who represent the seasonal shifts and constellations.
But the goddess of love has a dark side, like when she punishes arcadian princess Atalanta and her lover Hippomenes for neglecting to honor the goddess. The Spartans worshipped an armored, warlike variation of the goddess; Aphrodite of Areia.

What is more correctly to use "us" or "os" on the end of the Theoi's names? Ouranos or Ouranus? Dionysus or Dionysos? And others.
Thank you!
I believe "os". Every ancient Greek version of their names that I've seen is the "os" ending. If you're ok with the latinized versions, you can still use "us". I sometimes alternate between them within my own worship, and my deities don't typically seem bothered by that. You're welcome to ask your deities directly what they'd prefer you to call them. c:

Ω PJO DEMIGOD HEADCANONS: 🌫️ OURANUS: PERSONIFICATION OF THE SKY 🌬️
Author’s note: *put head into hands* Alright, so I may or may not have went off from the usual formula (Do I even have a formula for writing these at this point?) and I think I may have made the primordial demigods here more cryptid cause they’re the literal by-product of primordial beings that are also half-mortal? I won’t be including the usual blurbs at the ending cause all of them are probably pushing the word limit Tumblr has but worry not, I made up for it by putting more storylines into the whole thing. PRIMORDIAL DEMIGODS MASTERLIST: [LINK]
You are literally made out of him, when though half-divine due to him getting chopped up into pieces. A piece of him ended up getting mixed with clay, and it took time for you to be formed properly. You rose out of the ground and grimaced when the first thing you saw was the earth .a.k.a. Gaea. Your first words were not “mama” or “papa” but instead a string of curses and your first tantrum was kicking at the earth on behalf of your father; your shrieks making the sky rumble.
As you can imagine, throwing a literal tantrum that shook the sky and the earth caught unwanted attention. You were approximately conscious and corporeal for exactly of 5 whole minutes before you heard an earth shattering scream, literally, before experiencing your first taste of pain erupting in your side and the next thing you knew you were rolling through the earth like a bad aeroplane landing and eating dirt and rocks.
Rage filled you as you got up and face whoever or whatever the cause of whatever that was, not even taking a second to see who it was before you swatted them hard into the air before you rose to the air with the sky at your command.
Only then, did you see who it was and you felt rage like you never felt before consume your entire being, which isn’t really long actually. There in front of you, you knew exactly who it was, the scent of Gaea sticking to them so intensely; just as you a child of Ouranus was born, so had a child of Gaea. You two faced each other and begun to attack each other, ripping into each other with all your might and recovering your wounds in your respective realms. Sufficient to say the earth and sky were moving was an understatement.
You were both throwing words of insults and anger at each other, fueled by the absolute hatred for the other’s treatment to your respective parent as if you were Ouranus and Gaea having a spat themselves. You were so caught up, you didn’t notice the skies warping to your emotions until the sky went dark and bright, with the earth being neutralised by a deep dark abyss before the child of Chaos appeared before you two with the child of Eros.
You didn’t remember much afterwards, only realising the child of Gaea looked very different then before, almost monstrous and unstable with the child of Eros telling you to calm down and focus on your form too. You last saw the child of Gaea being half-carried and dragged away from you and the people you were with by the other primordials with the child of Tartarus and Erebus giving a nod to the child of Chaos who stood between you all as they watched them disappear into the darkness.
With that over, you got quickly acquainted with the child of Chaos, Eros, and Hemera who told you about the circumstances. You didn’t even need to be convinced to join them along the way if you were going to have chances to encounter the child of Gaea, even though it was not for the right reasons. You didn’t care because you had an argument to settle.
Your power revolves around the sky. You can do something similar to a child of Zeus from flying, manipulating air, manipulating the weather, and so forth. However, there’s more as you can take on aspects of the sky from day and night; manipulating light and darkness. You can also pull the sky around you to hide if you need to, but that’s like pulling a blanket over yourself.
There’s another power to being a child of Ouranus but it takes time to control or harness. You may not be even to harness it completely for it may be too far out of your reach: The power of the stars. Considering the stars take place somewhat in the sky, you are able to tap into the power of the stars or at the least, communicate with them. However, which stars resonate with you is another thing as for some may or may not want to lend their help.
The power of the stars is what it says on the tin: this power allows you to tap into the stars itself, the embodiments of the stars in general and the individualistic star; like the astrological stars and maybe some individuals like Orion…and Zoe Nightshade. The power of the stars cannot be completely harnessed by you, but it is available to you. There may be a trial or requirements to access them, but that’ll depend on you of course.
And not be unironic, depending when and where you were born for your astrological houses will also help which of the astrological stars you’ll feel more in tune with and how well you can tap into their powers.
Your key feature is that you have both a weightless and heavy body. Your form reflecting a changing sky, while also being buoyant and volatile, sensitive to your emotion and change. In a sense, your form is simply there, but you can shed your physical self and walk among the air and spirits. When people look in the eyes, they see the sky that changes in colour and you can stare at it for hours that are never the same.

Venus & Lilith. Where Light and Dark meet. A reflection of the soul's true essence
THE LANGUAGE OF ASTROLOGY allows us to understand and connect with different areas of our lives—from the most personal, to the obscure.
Truth is, there is no such thing as black or white in our reality. We are multidimensional beings, able to deepen our thinking and connection with our environment by unravelling the secrets that lie within us using our intuition as a guide. The connection between Venus and Lilith depicts the true essence of the soul, the birth of one’s true self and identity, transmuted into flesh and bones. Our raw and untamed side meets the brightest, most authentic part of our soul—our spirituality.
Venus and Lilith represent the union between light and shadow, and how purity and desire can coexist. Though in order to understand this connection, we first need to delve into each of the archetypes separately and their myths. Venus in Astrology is considered one of the personal planets, meaning her aspects, signs and transits will feel very tangible (or personal) to us. Traditionally, Venus is connected with Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty and grace. Venus in a natal chart rules not only love, but also our possessions and desires. When we look at the ancient myths, it is quite ironic for me that the goddess of love was born out of war.
In ancient Greek mythology, the birth of Venus tells the story of how Aphrodite was born when Kronos (Saturn, lord of time and sacrifice) turned against his father Ouranus (Uranus, lord of heaven and enlightenment) and decides to castrate him —dropping his testicles into the ocean that ended up fertilising the sea. The name Aphrodite comes from the Greek word ‘aphros’ which means ‘sea foam’ produced by the violent ocean waves. There is a very thin line between pain and pleasure, though both can be seen through the archetype of Venus. This myth symbolises how something beautiful can be born from a bad/painful situation. The birth of new hope, purpose, and future.
ON THE OTHER HAND, the Lilith we will begin to describe, is also referred to as Black Moon Lilith in Astrology (and I feel it is important to state this since there are different Liliths in astrology, one of them being an asteroid). Black Moon Lilith is not an object but a mathematical point between the Earth and the Moon that always remains in the shadows. The Moon in Astrology is connected to our emotions, instincts and intuition. I sadly often see articles talking about Black Moon Lilith as one’s traumas, misfortune and suffering, however I like to refer to Black Moon Lilith as the untamed, raw, unfiltered part of ourselves that may clash with what is expected from us, creating a sense of discomfort and, in a way, rejection.
The mythology of Lilith goes far in history to Babylonian times, when the figure of Lilith was referred to as the untamed spouse of Adan. She refused to live under a specific law and reclaimed her sovereignty. She was true to herself and would not submit to any God or man, that is why she was expelled from Eden as she sought to fulfil her own pleasure. When looking at astrology, we can identify one’s power struggles by looking at their Lilith and Pluto placements. There is no specific theory as to what sign rules Lilith. However, from personal experience reading ancient texts and other books/articles—we could say Lilith feels at home in the sign of Scorpio, which is the opposite sign to Taurus (one of Venus’ domiciles). Here we begin to understand the correlation between both myths. How in many cases we have been forced to deny our desires in order to be accepted or loved. Both Venus and Lilith seek the same thing—pleasure. The appreciation of the beauty of life and how our feelings make us feel alive. Yes, both good and bad. Venus and Lilith invite us to reclaim our sovereignty by fully accepting who we are without dimming our light.
While Astrological interpretations tend to revolve around the signs, I have a different way to interpret Lilith and her meanings which is directly connected to the houses. Each house is ruled by one of the signs, so in a way, we are also encapsulating the essence of the signs within the houses. Though, I feel it is easier to understand all the different layers within the archetype of Lilith and its connection to Venus by primarily referring to the houses.

Been thinking about the nine houses and which planets they correspond to:
1st - We know it's Earth, but my brain requires this being a complete list.
2nd - Probably mars, seeing as they run the Cohort and mars is the Roman god of war.
3rd - I'd say Jupiter because Jupiter is the Roman version of Zeus who was born on Mount Ida and Corona and Ianthe are the princess' of Ida.
4th - Neptune... It's blue.
5th - I believe the 5th house to be Saturn because of Koniortos Court, Koniortos means raised dust or flying dust. Seems to me like it's alluding to Saturn's rings.
6th - Mercury, obviously it's the closest to Dominicus.
7th - Venus, we know from GtN that the 7th and the 6th are closer to Dominicus than the 1st and process of elimination. But also Cytherea comes from the 7th and Venus is the Roman name for Aphrodite, Cytherea of course also being another name for Aphrodite.
8th - This and the 4th are where I get a bit fuzzy but Uranus makes the most sense to me is named after Ouranus, who was the Titan in Greek mythology that personified the sky/the heavens, which fits their vibes. Plus they're assholes soooo...
9th - Pluto, super cold, receives little to no light from Dominicus, the smallest house. Need I go on.
P.S. I always imagine the house based around the Gas and Ice Giants actually being on their moons cause they all got tons, and they can't really be on the planets and necromancers not huge fans of space, so space stations seems unlikely.

Made an edit of my redesign of Kronos and Rhea which you can find HERE. Rhea was a free spirit while Kronos was very cautious, especially during the time he lead to usurp Ouranus. I actually remembered a piece of lore I came up with during this time, Ouranus could see anything above since he’s the personification sky so Gaia grew massive trees(?) to cover them and so that they can have some sort of shelter.

As a Ph.D. scholar at the Australian National University (ANU) from 2004 to 2007, I stayed at the University House. I chose to live there because it is near my Coombs Building office. It was only halfway through my studies that I appreciated its rich history dating back to its establishment in 1954 as the oldest residential college at the university. The University House has undergone significant changes to meet the diverse needs of its residents. Originally designed to house academic units and later as a residence for faculty, staff, and postgraduate students, the building has transformed into a multifunctional space that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern amenities. The dormitory section where I lived serves as housing for Ph.D. Students, the rest of the building has been converted into 150 hotel-style rooms for visitors. Designed by architect and professor Brian Lewis, the University House is recognized as a heritage site by ANU, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, and the Government of Australia. The ceremonial opening of the University House in 1954, graced by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, marked a significant milestone in its history. Over the years, the building has adapted to changing times and needs, transitioning from the traditional Oxbridge collegiate system to that of a manor with facilities attuned to the 21st century. The University House has been a venue for numerous academic and social gatherings, including traditional Oxbridge formal dinners and free wine tastings for Ph.D. residents on Wednesday evenings. Its illustrious history is further enriched by the distinguished individuals who have resided within its walls, such as Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. A standout moment during my time at the University House was the visit by Crown Prince Frederick and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark in 2005, during which a memorandum of understanding was signed between ANU and universities in Copenhagen and Aarhus. It was unforgettable because I was busy writing my dissertation in my office daily from 12 noon till 5 a.m. I did not receive last-minute word about vacating the dorm premises after breakfast because Danish guests will be passing through. I was showering leisurely before noon, after waking up, minutes before the VIPs dropped by, when security knocked and slipped a note under my door, frantically instructing me to get properly dressed ASAP. The University House has become a heritage-listed boutique hotel with various dining options and event spaces. Despite facing challenges like the hailstorm damage in January 2020, the building is resilient and undergoing restoration to continue its legacy of academic excellence and cultural significance for future generations to appreciate. As University House continues to thrive, its importance within the ANU community remains unwavering, ensuring its place in its rich history for generations to come. #australiannationaluniversity

I hate the fact that the only things we know about Koios/Coeus/Polus is that he is the son of Gaia and Ouranus, he was the father of Leto and Asteria, and that a late roman source says he went mad and escaped tartarus. anything else are just assumptions about his name (Coeus means query, so he is treated like a god of intelligence/knowledge; and Polus refers to the northern pillar that held Ouranus when Cronos castrated him)
I'm so interested in worshipping him but there's barely any information 😭

I mentioned one of Zeus's titles is the God of Hospitality.
And that may be way Jason was left to die.
Because he called his father, the stricter and more disciplined counterpart of Zeus, Jupiter unwise.
Something he didn't take kindly too at all.
And as such left Jason to die.
But what if it didn't stop there?
What if Jupiter wasn't satisfied with his son being stabbed to death?
Because, you see there's a person in Greek mythology who broke the rules of hospitality.
And ended up being sentenced to eternity in Tartarus.
A person who's shockingly enough appeared in the series.
I am of course talking about Tantalus.
Now I know this sounds completly insane because Tantalus's crimes are waay worse than anything Jason ever did.
Given the God's were over for dinner and he had the great idea to murdered his son and tried to feed him too the God's.
A lot worse than simply speaking out of turn and insulting your father.
Who is also the King of Olympus.
But that's not the only version of his myth.
There's another where he simply steals ambrosia and necter from them.
And still gets his eternal punishment.
But I think it's less about what Jason did and more what he could do.
Remember in Greek Mythology there's a theme of sons overthrowing their fathers.
With Ouranus being overgrown by Kronos who was than overthrown by Zeus.
So Zeus is definitely got an eye out incase any of his sons try and come at him bro.
Notice that Jason calls his father unwise.
Calling into question his decisions and in a time where Olympus is basically on lock down and everyone now more than ever is looking to hanging on Zeus's word.
This is essentially treason.
Zeus is a King afterall, son of not Jason is openly defying his father in the middle of his throne room.
And what if the others think him unwise? Think him unfit to lead, they could overthrow him.
Jason could overthrow him.
We know he wouldn't, Jason doesn't want to lead anyone.
Boy just wants a simple and quiet life building shrines and growing old with the one he loves.
But of course Zeus doesn't know that.
And if you look at a lot of children of Zeus, they have that audacity and yearn for power.
Hell Jason's namesake was like that.
I mentioned Tantalus not only as an example of breaking hospitality and offending the God's.
Through murder, accidental camnablism and even just petty theft.
But because Tantalus is a son of Zeus.
Yeah the guy with arguably the worst punishment in Tartarus was sent by his father for stealing.
Among other things but depends what myth you read.
I know the pjo version of Tantalus follows the accidental camnablism route but this is just me looking bout.
Heracles did say its hard to be a child of Zeus.
So instead of Jason getting Elysium like he deserves, imagine Jupiter appearing and just like yeah you insulted me that one time it's time to go to Tartarus for you.
To make an example of him.
And wouldn't that be the biggest slap to the face.
Jason who lived and died as not a son but a soilder.
His father leaves him to die.
And than calls on his soul because you son were so beloved.
By both mortal and immortal like.
You valued minor God's and spread kindness to all.
And I can't have you living your afterlife in peace.
Because your a threat to my rule.
Because people rallied behind you when they should have rallied behind me.
You undermined my rule.
And I am going to make sure you suffer for it.
That the whole world knows you are nothing but a memory to be forgotten.
Nothing a lost hero.
The son of Jupiter ensnared in chains. Forced to fight the monsters of Tartarus for all eternity.
And no ones going to come for him.
You call for help.
But no one came.
Because your dead.
Your nothing but a shadow, a spark that went out.
You have your life to the God's, you did everything you were supposed to and you still lose.
And Jason, Jason looks at the chains and the monster roaring at him.
And he roars back.
He tackles it, ripping out its neck with his teeth. His arms are chained behind him.
Something inside him shatters.
He feels nothing but rage.
And he swears, swears on the Styx itself that he will have his revenge.
Nico doesn't know where Jason ended up but he hoped it was a good place.
How wrong he was.
