📸 @ourwhisky: Singer Ed Sheeran popped into @dewarsaberfeldy - his favourite whisky distillery - this week for a wee visit. Ed is such a big fan of the whisky and the town of Aberfeldy that he has a tattoo of the label on his arm! 🥃 "You can go to any Scots or Irish bar in the world and they have a bottle of Aberfeldy. I was in a bar in Germany and the guy had it - I showed him the tattoo and he gave me a free shot!"

Online festival from OurWhisky raises thousands for The Drinks Trust charity

At the beginning of this year, with the encouragement of OurWhisky, some Badass Bartender Babes and my incredible partner Makram Salha, I filed a #complaint with the #ScotchWhiskyAssociation regarding a #Scotch #Whisky #brand's #sexist #marketing which violated the #SWA's Code of Practice for Responsible Marketing and Promotion of Scotch Whisky: "The brand’s Instagram account illustrates a repetitive habit of objectifying women through highly sexualized imagery, in some instances completely naked and without any relevance to the brand/industry. This outdated message helps perpetuate the belief that women are sexual aspirations, rather than valued consumers and celebrated tradespeople." I am delighted to share that today the SWA has upheld the complaint, despite the brand team's appeal, and instructed them to remove #advertisement.s in question sending a clear, loud and official message that this sort of lazy, outdated, unimaginative, tasteless and sexist #advertising is not welcome in #ScotchWhisky. Thank you to the SWA, Georgie Bell, Makram Salha & all the Badass Bartender Babes who inspire me.
