Ascended Sally au: Sally has ascended and trying to force help the others ascend too, unfortunately they won't let her help them. They keep locking themselves inside their houses during the night and don't go into the forest anymore, but that's ok she will find a way to help them ascend too. The others are try to find a way to bring Sally back to normal but they’re running out of hope.

I am Never Going to Get You Back, Am I?

Prologue (!!SPOILERS!!)

He struggled to grasp the doorknob, his hands shaking. But this time, Sunny wasn't scared - he was weak. So weak that he had trapped himself in his dreams for four long years before Kel had broken into his house and dragged him out by the collar of his shirt. He felt like he had been beaten down by life, but at least he had managed to defeat Omori. Things had to get better eventually, if not for him, then for Basil. Kel, Aubrey, and Hero deserved to know the truth about Mari's death. As the door opened, Sunny's eyes were empty as he entered the silent room.

Sunny’s voice was hollow and emotionless as he said, "There's something I need to tell you."

Hero was the first to reach Sunny. "It can wait," he said. "It's not important right now."

Sunny stood in silence for a long moment, while everyone else in the room gently tried to persuade him to leave. However, he resisted and remained where he was. He couldn't bring himself to look anyone in the eye, feeling his heart pounding and his newfound confidence slipping away. He reached up and brushed the bandages over his eye, then looked down at the floor with his remaining eye. "Mari, it's my fault."

His friends’ faces paled. "No, Sunny, it was her own choice," Kel tried to console him, but Sunny gently slapped his hand away; he didn't want comfort.

Sunny croaked, “It's my fault. Mari had nothing to do with it." The room fell silent. He struggled to contain his panic as he noticed a glimmer of hope in his own eyes, instead of the usual sadness he felt. His gaze then drifted towards Basil, who appeared troubled even in his unconscious state. Sunny blamed himself for Basil's condition and Mari's death.

“The day of the recital, she wouldn't stop yelling. I tried to run away and take a break, but my hands were already blistered, and I was scared. She suddenly blocked my way, and I couldn't think of anything else. In a moment of panic, I pushed her down the stairs, and she must’ve died on the impact." Sunny paused, not bothering to look at his friend's face, as he recounted the tragic event. “I dragged her to her bed, I thought she needed to rest… She wasn’t breathing.”

The words he had spoken felt easy, he felt fortunate that they were. “Then how did end up strung up like a decoration?” Aubrey said, and seethed. Her face was of contorted rage and sadness, tears fell down her face. Sunny looked at Basil again. All the guilt Basil had felt, what he had seen, it was Sunny’s fault. Everything was his fault. And he couldn’t escape it on his own, he needed someone else to carry their burden with them.

“Basil saw it, he didn’t want me to get in trouble. Basil found the jump rope, and we staged it.” A sharp pain ran across his face. Aubrey had just slapped him. He felt shocked, more so that she had the guts to slap him after he had just been severely injured. He barely looked back up tears welled at the sides of his eyes. But he was happy, and he didn’t want to be. His friends were so sad, but it was over. It had to be over.

Aubrey had run out of the room, Sunny could not see her expression. Hero followed his face contorted into a sob. He looked up, Kel was the only other conscious person left in the room. Sunny couldn’t say anything, he couldn’t muster any more courage than he had. Now it was his friend’s job to muster up their courage. Silent tears dropped from his face. Kel walked past him and exited the room, letting the door slam behind him. The truth was out, his friend’s sadness was the consequence.

“Sunny?”

Upon hearing Basil’s voice, Sunny turned around with tears streaming down his face. “Everything is going to be okay,” Sunny said with a reassuring smile.

“They know?” Basil said gently. Sunny nodded, the smile never fading. They were free, they were finally free. They didn’t have to carry around the guilt anymore. They didn’t have to be scared. Basil looked stunned for a moment, then he too smiled. Tears welled in the side of his eyes, happy tears. Though the immense guilt still lingered he was still able to smile. He stood at Basil’s side, their hands clenching.

But when he looked back up again, he caught a glimpse of something out the window. Omori. He diverted his gaze. He didn’t want to focus on that for now. They spent minutes there, both unmoving. Sunny’s smile had turned into a more genuine one. His dull eyes retook their place. But he was finally feeling something, anything but pure dullness.

20. your very first fandom!

My first fandom was Fairytail and gosh I have so many memories about it. While I have my reservations about fanservice and story plot holes, the power of friendship actually (mostly) made sense and the found family that is the guild is very sweet. I was mesmerized by all the magic types and many likable characters. I even used to tell fanfics to my friend who got me into it (yes, "tell" because I had no idea what fanfic was, so I just imagined random stories. I never thought them out or finished them but it was incredibly fun).

However, I didn't really see the fandom until later, when third season came out. It was light-hearted, memey and fixated on power scales and ships. I didn't exactly join it because I never interacted with anyone (given some hot takes of mine maybe it's a good thing) but there was plenty of material to read and analyse. And I was obsessed so I count it as my fandom

Also my second most powerful hyperfixation, Freed Justine. It was awkward waiting for this guy to appear at least somewhere while majority of fandom was into ships and main characters. But then I saw that someone wrote fanfics about him, there were plenty of fanarts. My thirst for information was more or less satisfied. He became so inspiring that I ended up creating oc based on him (partly because I didn't like his canon character development but hey I shouldn't be negative here)

There are many like Dungeon Meshi, Omori, Parties are for losers and School bus graveyard

Dungeon Meshi seems comforting for some reason, maybe due to Senshi (that's his name, right?) and how he promotes healthy eating habits. And memes about characters being different kind of autistic. If I join this fandom know it was power of autism all along

I know some events from Omori but not the whole story. I heard it's depressing so I don't want to be sad, I have real life and yttd already. But at the same time I'm intrigued by its fighting system and well, sometimes I'm attracted to tragedy

Parties are for losers is something I have googled and read about but ultimately I didn't watch anything. So maybe once I'll finally give it a try

And I have read a bit of school bus graveyard but I decided that one hyperfixation is enough. Even though it is an interesting webtoon.

24. how has fandom positively impacted your life? (Yttd)

Right now I adore our fandom! It is so cozy and funny and I'm glad to be part of it! Honestly, before I began posting I was afraid of hate or that my takes were wrong etc, but people were far more accepting. I argued only once about my opinions and even then it was a civilised discussion. Some tumblrinas followed me, I followed back and I got to know those people better. So even if my life is hard I know that there are people here that care. It's heartwarming to know

If I'm talking about yttd as a game it's going to be too long but in a nutshell it really makes me think. What is good, what is bad, what is justified? What makes us human, what is weakness and what is strength? It is not black and white, yttd shows how different perspectives define our understanding of these concepts. And one of many conclusions I've come to is that we should believe in ourselves and try to stay true to our beliefs as much as possible

Also, English language practice. English is nowhere near my mother tongue so I make ungodly amount of mistakes. But with practice I am improving little by little. And I'm grateful that there's absolutely no semblance of hate due to grammatically incorrect sentences and the like

24. how has fandom positively impacted your life? (Undertale)

I didn't actively participate in it but it was so creative! So many AUs, so many ideas. I loved listening to musicals (which also helped me understand English orally). I am still inspired to do something like this. I dream of creating musicals for my favorite games (I've tried to write lyrics for battle of wits from Exit/corners but I have no idea if the result is fine). And some of my ocs come from Undertale's souls because I loved the concept of souls and their abilities

This comforting game also made me think about forgiveness and the whole complexity of monsterkind's situation. I really sympathise with overwhelming majority of them. Is violence an option? Is it the last resort? Such lessons are impactful even if you're the one choosing the answer

fic ideas i have but will prob never write (or finish)

half of these don't really have names so ill just call them whatever the doc is named OOOOOO OYASUMI omori fic, hikikomori route where sunny can't sleep through the night thus progressing to the next day. based on my own gameplay where in my first run was the hikikomori route (which i did not know at the time) so the first ending i got was this endless night (didn't know i could die in black space at the time). wanted to write about sunny slowly completing everything you could do in headspace till, well, idk lost the vision. wanted to kinda write about how dragging it feels to wake up fall back asleep then wake up again only for a minute to past. wanted it to feel ig defeating, if i was to continue it today maybe id slow burn it into the hiki ending? make it a very depressing crawl to the end

i drink till im drunk, smoke till im high p5 (vanilla royal wasn't a thing at the time) AU fic where the metaverse isn't a thing instead they use scopolamine. inspired by the scopolamine documentary by vice. exactly as i said a retelling of the main story with no powers, never actually started writing it since i wanted to nail out the specifics first like how the PT would get the drug n etc. looking at my notes like under half of them just die via OD damn. i remember id wanted to make it a one shot n focus on the PTs mental state/thought process and how they would devolve into doing this. a change i wrote them targeting Sugimura instead of Okumura cuz haru doesn't want to do that to her dad. Sae same deal, also didn't brainstorm a reason why Makoto joins (or maybe she wouldnt't? hm? hm?) tho i have notes on the blackmail thing still happening. idk how id play it out, whether i have her join or be a confidant. no full notes on Shido tho with Akechi thinking the drugging is inhumane and excessive tho also looking into Shido. don't know if i wanted to have Akechi be a normal detective or something? i could keep in his anger for Shido and have that be the reason he'd help the PTs i dunno. heres a direct note that i have: "Honestly not really a team but just all angry together. Akira druggy backstory is revealed" so akira would somehow supply the scopolamine, like i said never fully ironed that out.

and in that moment you knew you waited to long splatoon fic where a human gets reincarnated into a inkling! made this during splat 2 so id be based in inkopolis and no lore from rise of mammalians. wanted it to be very introspective with the protag living through the time before the end of humanity. so while they wouldn't have experienced it the fear and trauma of being so close to the end like that would carry onto her inkling life. while i didn't note it down i think i wanted the protag not to fully know how humanity ended, yeah obviously there was a rise in sea levels but the details? unknown. the protag would see the world of splatoon and look at it with a objective view while living through it (maybe even lost in life burden with the knowledge of a sunken humanity), though i thought of tartar being apart of the story (which the protag would argue humanity n etc with). don't know if id make it post octo expansion or pre and if i write about tartar id probably write in the squidbeak splatoon. so protag would hear about tartar somehow and go looking n which agent 4 notices and starts following them etc etc, leads to tar and reveals protag is reincarnated! idk. i want protag and tar to talk tho, with separate ideals too like tar: fuck this world. protag: this isnt our world anymore (longing yearning angst, youll never see your love ones or anything close to them ever again). squidbeak could be the fun optimists or something. just a fic about splatoon from the world it was before.

I JUST WANTED YOU TO WATCH ME DISSOLVEEEE SLOWLYYY genshin impact fic wooo, easy synopsis from notes: "aether drinks. cuz paimon is dead" this fic is actually half written! i just lost motive and never continued (tho maybe i will? not anytime soon tho :/). a short story on well aether drinking, running into venti, and the clear sense that something is wrong; nothing outright yet from the get go but aether is clearly unhappy. writing focused on aethers very clear mental distraught and regret (which would be more revealed further into the story). i honestly forgot how i wanted the reveal to go (didn't write it down good going me) but basically aether is tricked by lumine to kill paimon because she holds their sealed power. hm maybe less tricked more forced and pressured into killing piamon, nonetheless aether feels awful and would subsequently drink to forget and confess to venti about what hes done.

press 'E' to open inventory sword art online fic, every so often i think about sao ok. this would be a season 1 fic centered around kirito and his time in the moonlit black cats and how it effects him thru the Aincrad arc, represented by a black coat. based on the different jacket he used with the black cats had the idea that it was given to kirito by them as a kinda welcoming uniform thing. anyways they die and he keeps the jacket in his inventory as a memento. heres the rough notes of the plot: Kirito almost throws the jacket away after in fear and survivor guilt (he doesn't) Kirito then keeps it in his inv 24/7 Asuna could question it maybe ? idk He pulls it out in moments for comfort (but only after a long time he gotta get over the deaths first) One day he wears it (end woo)
