Oukitel WP1 arrives with IP68 Certifications and Wireless Charging

Oukitel WP1 is now officially available on shopping stores for pre-order. The device is the latest installment to the WP series from Oukitel. The WP1 is the watered-down variant of the Oukitel WP2 smartphone, but still packs a bunch. It's powered by the Helio P23 chip and supports wireless charging as well. Although, there's no notch here like we saw on the Oukitel C12 Pro. Lets find out more.

Design

The WP1 was designed with a combination of Polycarbonate and Aluminium alloy, this gives the device an IP68 rating. It's water and dust resistant, looking absolutely rugged from the outside. The dual rear shooters starts a vertical train at the top middle, while the fingerprint scanner follows underneath. The device was introduced in Black, Orange and Green colors.

Display

The frobt is built around a 5.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD 18:9 standard display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 293 pixel per inch density for immersive visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 65.15% screen-to-body ratio.

Software and Hardware

It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, the Helio P23 chipset from MediaTek sits behind the screen, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.0GHz for a smooth ride. The ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB internal storage space which are expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. It boasts of 4GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.

Camera

The dual 13MP + 2MP shooters handles everything photography from the back. The phone can shoot 1080p videos as well. For taking selfies, there's a single 5MP selfie shooter for all your selfies.

Battery

Powering up the WP1 is a 5000mAh battery capacity with fast and wireless charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn't take up to 3 hours.
