Comme des Garçons x Otomo Katsuhiro.
In 2013, the Comme des Garçons physical mailers featured the work of Katsuhiro Otomo, the first Japanese artist to ever be featured in Comme des Garçons mail outs.

Both Otomo and Kawakubo stand as pioneers in their fields, inspiring fashion and anime fans all over the globe. In the late 80s, Otomo did with Akira what Kawakubo did with Comme des Garçons in Paris in the early 80s: marking the beginning of a new era for their industry.

Being part of the big three, Kawakubo introduced the second wave of Japanese fashion to the world, while Otomo captivated global audiences, directing the eyes of the world to anime and giving the genre widespread appeal.
Yet it took until 2013 for Comme des Garçons to look at a Japanese creator for the artwork of their mailer. The result is a collection of stunning printed Otomo artworks in collaboration with NoBrow press, featuring a variety of Otomo’s most iconic work.

Otomo Katsuhiro's Cats Head Home at Dawn
Otomo Katsuhiro has the best taste for drawing an Eroica parody manga.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks to @skyblep mentioning that this manga exists, I finally got around to reading this one shot. Cats Head Home at Dawn (猫はよく朝方に帰ってくる - Neko wa Yoku Asagata ni Kaette Kuru) was first published in Young Comic in 1981, and was later compiled in Otomo's SOS Dai Tokyo Tankentai (SOS大東京探検隊) anthology. In the afterword, he clearly states that this hard-boiled detective story was drawn as an Eroica parody.
All Eroica fans should check this manga out to laugh at Detective notKlaus looking for a cat.

Otomo is a Klaus bully.
Bonus: What Aoike said about this manga in her Manben episode (naokiurasawa.com looks down at the moment, but we all know how great of a person the owner of the site is for subbing Manben episodes)

Fairytales in manga and anime.
Hansel to Gretel / Hansel and Gretel. This is an early work of Otomo Katsuhiro, the renowned creator of AKIRA. In this manga anthology, several fairytales and folktales are collected and retold but in the strangest, most surrealistic and irreverent ways as a set of ridiculous, cruel, funny and grotesque stories. This manga was notably influenced by various European artstyles, from the works Moebius to the paintings of Bosch.
