Trick or Alice but better: Part 1

Trick or Alice is an R-18 otome game created by Little Cheese in 2012, the same company behind the yandere game Kuro to Kin no Akanai Kagi. It’s based off of the famous Alice in Wonderland book series by Louis Carroll. Content warning for mentions of sexual content.

From what I heard from people who played it, not only did the game tell it’s story in a very confusing way, but it was also boring due to it’s slow pace. Although, I did hear that 3/5 of the love interests’ romance was written pretty decently. For my revised version, I’ll be ditching the rape, incest, and the little pedophilia the game had for obvious reasons. I’m also not making it an otome game, let alone an R-18 game. The art style looks very cute and colorful, so it’s very disturbing to see these adorable looking characters doing the devil’s tango. The game is also so plot focused that the romacne would feel a little forced if that makes sense. 

I would also have the story be told episodically, but it has an ongoing plot in the backround, similar to Bustafellows, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Season 1 and Season 2-A of The Owl House. That way, the character interactions would feel more concise and light-hearted rather than boring and dragged out. I also would have the Black Rabbit not be Louis Carroll himself, but rather his own person that happened to have created Wonderland. He would also physically look like an adult, since the “looks like a child, but is actually an adult” trope is gross, especially if you’re doing it on a real person. The Wonderland animals would also look like anthropomorphic animals rather than people with animal ears and tails.

Revised version:

White Rabbit and Chrono, The Mad Hatter, were born in a white void, or a “blank page” if you will. White Rabbit had magic, so he was able to conjure up basic needs, like a home, food and water. Outside of their little home, they rest of the world around them was nothing but white. For the longest time, they were fine with this, since they were only fine with each other. The White Rabbit, in spite of his stoic personallity, was always more imaginative. Chrono, despite his more outgoing behavior, preffered to follow the rules. The one thing both of them were worried about was time and what they could make use of it. In spite of their differences, they were close friends. They had plenty of tea parties together and White Rabbit would teach Chrono a few magic tricks. However, when they became adults, White Rabbit felt alone and wanted to make this void more than just a “blank page.” Chrono felt content with this way of living, but he was fine with what the White Rabbit wanted so he could be happy.

White Rabbit decided to create a book titled “Wonderland.” Whatever he writes in the book, it would come to life in the white void. He created a world called Wonderland, a paradise where anything could happen. With Wonderland came the concept of Time, which took the form of a baby girl. White Rabbit and Chrono decided to raise Time together as their child. More specifically, Chrono was the dad, while White Rabbit was more like an uncle figure to Time. In return, White Rabbit created the Queen of Hearts to create some semblance of order for Chrono. Eventually, other residence were born in Wonderland due to the world’s influence, including a cat who smiles a lot, twins made from shadows and light, and a dormouse who liked to sleep a lot. Their names are Chesire, Shadow, Light, and Round respectively. 

However, as the pages of the book became worn out over time, it created rifts, or rabbit holes, that led to other worlds. White Rabbit went to these worlds to close the rabbit holes so nothing will go through Wonderland, all the while making sure he’s 10 minutes early to Chrono’s tea party. What the White Rabbit didn’t know was that a little girl named Alice Liddell from the human world had followed him before he could close the last rabbit hole. Due to Alice now being trapped in Wonderland, White Rabbit felt it was his rsponsibility to look after Alice for the time being. White Rabbit looked after Alice like a doting father, while Chrono acted more like a fun uncle. Alice and Time grew up together like sisters, inseperable in spite of Alice’s cheeful and upbeat personality to Time’s more reserved and calm behavior. 

Over time, Chrono began to resent Alice due to her growing up rather selfish. This was due to White Rabbit spoiling her and giving her whatever she wanted to make her happy. He also felt like Alice took White Rabbit’s time away from Chrono and Time, as the two friends started to drift apart. Chrono complained about this to Time and a sleeping Round after his tea parties, beleiveing that if Alice hadn’t fallen down the rabbit hole, then White Rabbit wouldn’t have been so preocupied. But then…Chrono had an idea…an awful idea…Chrono had a wonderful, AWFUL idea…He was going to kill Alice…This resulted in a chase sequence as White Rabbit tried to protect Alice from the mad Chrono.

White Rabbit decided to use his powers to create a pocket demension for Alice and himself to hide in. This world was called “The Looking Glass World” due to it looking like the human world Alice resided in, and it had humanoid clones of all the Wonderland residnece, aside from Chrono. The only one able to enter in and out of this world was Chesire Cat, who took the form of a stray cat that visited Alice whenever he entered the Looking Glass World. White Rabbit took Alice’s memories as an attempt to keep her safe, as he dons the name “Henry Liddell” and pretends to be her father. Due to using a lot of powers to make the dimention, White Rabbit’s fur turns black, making him the “Black Rabbit” instead. Meanwhile, Chrono took Black Rabbit’s book during the chase, which caused him to gain the abilities to create Wondeland in his own image. However, he descovers the Black Rabbit placed a “bookmark” of sorts to prevent Chrono from using it. This “bookmark” was Elizabeth, a talking plant that resides in the Queen of Hearts’ garden. What the Black Rabbit didn’t know was that this would cause Wonderland to be stuck in a time loop due to the book being stuck in place. Chrono uses this to his advantage, where while he can’t use the book itself, he can use Time to change the events that happen in each repeating day. He kills the Queen of Hearts without anyone’s knowledge except Time, and pretends to be her via the book’s magic. The residents notice how the once nice Queen of Hearts became a tyranical dictator, forcing everyone to go by her rules, or else, they’ll be off with their heads. Chrono as the Queen of Hearts killed anyone who apposed his rule, using Time to make their and the real Queen of Hearts’ deaths permanent. Chrono is also able to enter the Looking Glass World, pretending to be a doctor at Alice’s school without Black Rabbit’s knowledge.

A few months pass by in the Looking Glass World, where after Alice’s 16th bithday, Black Rabbit was going to tell Alice everything and return her back to her world. However, at midnight, a gaint rabbit hole caused by Chrono destroys the Looking Glass World and forces Alice and Black Rabbit to return to Wonderland. Alice slowly regains this information as she meets her friends again, trying to find the Black Rabbit in the process. After her journey of trying to be a better person and friend than the one she was before losing her memories, she finds Black Rabbit hiding in the remains of the Looking Glass World. He explains everything to her and apologizes for not being a better parental figure and erasing her memories. Alice also apologizes for causing Black Rabbit and Chrono’s relationship to break, but he assures Alice that it’s between them and none of that was her fault. 

In the finale, they return to Wonderland to defeat Chrono with the help of the other residence. Elizabeth decides to sacrifice themselves for the sake of Wonderland and ends up in the Looking Glass World, releasing the seal from the book and causing an end to the time loop. Black Rabbit gets his book back and Time takes her revenge on Chrono by rapidly increasing his time, with him dying of old age Mother Gothel style. Black Rabbit decides to let everyone use the book to loosen the world of Wonderland, while keeping some rules in place, like no murdering people for example. In the epilogue, an adult Alice desides to return to her own world after the book ran out of room and Black Rabbit dies. She says goodbye to all of her friends and family before leaving, and they allow her to take the book with her so she will always be reminded of Wonderland. In Wonderland, an adult Time oversees the world to make sure things are going smoothly. In the real world, Alice discovers that Elizabeth is now human and the Black Rabbit, before his death, combined the Looking Glass World and the human world into one. Alice and Elizabeth live together in a cottage, as they take care of a calico rabbit, cat, and mouse. Alice and Elizabeth ocassionally visit Wonderland when they want to. Alice creates her own book series based on her adventures in Wonderland and becomes a famous novellest, using the pseudonym “Louis Carroll.” Elizabeth is a famous fasion model and broadway actor and director, adaptaing some of Alice’s novels into movies. 

Part two will contain character information and their involvement in the story, as well as some ideas for gamepley.

Hakuoki Zuisouroku DS - Memories Unlock Completion

(no idea what else to call this but i reserve the right to do whatever as translator)

In the DS version of Zuisouroku, after you obtain all the memories with one of the main guys, supposedly this content unlocks.... To my knowledge, this is ds-exclusive content since I haven’t seen anything like it in my vita version of Zuisouroku and well, i’ve never played any other versions of the game in Japanese.... also i’ve never seen this mentioned in other CH translations of the psp game.

Still.... i kinda felt i might as well translate this cuz i did find it... along with what will I will be posting next time... which will be my last zuisouroku game translation post.

L’anime debutterà in Giappone il 13 novembre.

Svelato un primo breve video promozionale per il nuovo OVA ispirato al popolare franchise otome di “Hakuoki”. L’anime sarà composto in tutto da 3 episodi che verranno distribuiti sia in streaming sulla piattaforma giapponese U-NEXT, che in home video.

Le puntate saranno disponibili online rispettivamente dal 13 novembre, 11 dicembre e 29 gennaio 2022. I box Blu-ray e Dvd invece usciranno il 24 dicembre, 28 gennaio 2022 e il 25 febbraio 2022.

Lo staff sarà lo stesso dei precedenti adattamenti: La regia presso STUDIO DEEN (Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. In questa storica visual novel fantasy, vestirai i panni della giovane Chizuru, determinata a trovare suo padre in mezzo al dramma di Kyoto nel periodo Bakumatsu. Turns out Date Masamune has even more designs and versions than I originally thought! So here’s another list adding to my 2 earlier posts about the many variations of Date Masamune - the One-Eyed Dragon in anime, manga, video games, and movies!

Until I started digging around for more versions of the famous Lord of Oshu, I kept finding these wonderful historical styled portraits of him and many other famous warlords. After researching a bit, most of these pictures come from Nobunaga’s Ambition, a game series I’d heard of but never looked into really, (since it’s a strategy game like Total War Shogun and that’s not really my kind of game-play). I especially never knew just how extensive the games were! And there are so many wonderful depictions of the One-Eyed-Dragon in these games! The series seems to span the Sengoku Jidai record and depicts Masamune at various ages during his military career.

In this game, Masamune apparently has some ability to transform into a...winged Orochi-ish snake-dragon dude form..??? Looks like he’s got a ‘cursed eye’ issue or something.

There are so many more, but the last one from this series I’ll show is from Samurai Cats (mobile game adaptation of Nobunaga’s Ambition)

The re-designs of the samurai warlords into cat versions are actually really cute! This render is from Guruguru Dungeon Nobunyaga.

There was even a stage play for it!!!!

Daikoukai Jidai V (PC game)

The 5th game in the Uncharted Waters series, where you play as a naval explorer traveling the world in search of a rare treasure and along the way meet countless historical figures from many countries.

Points go to this game also for Masamune with beautiful long hair!!

Masamune’s Love and Ambition: (Feature Film)

In one of my earlier Masamune versions posts, I listed a 50+ episode NHK drama series re-telling the life story of Masamune. Well, here’s a version that condenses that tale into a 2hr movie. It follows the historical account of Masamune from his youth until the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, depicting his first battles, the unifying of Oshu, the loss of his Father Terumune, and the heart-wrenching drama between him and his mother Yoshihime.

Hyouge Mono (Anime) -  This version comes from an anime which aired back in 2011-2012, one I hadn’t heard of before. The show mainly follows the story of a samurai in service to Nobunaga and his quest to perfect the art of tea ceremony. Masamune has occasional appearances amidst the plethora of historical samurai figures. And the way he’’s portrayed is kinda kooky and over-dramatic, spouting his lines in a very kabuki-like tone. Which, from the few episodes I found him in, had me laughing pretty hard. I did enjoy that some famous events in Masamune’s history were depicted in the show, such as when he appeared before Hideyoshi in white clothes as apology for his lateness to Odawara, and when he later paraded toward Osaka castle carrying a huge golden cross. Surprisingly, he’s voiced by the same actor as in Sengoku Basara: the one-and-only Kazuya Nakai!!!! (Screenshots from Episode 37)

Masamune Date-nicle (anime)

A short anime depicting the adventures of young Masamune as he comes-of-age in his hometown of Mutsu Province. The show was actually made to help promote awareness of the Fukushima area after the devastating tsunami disaster of 2011.

Samurai Love Ballad (mobile Otome game)

This is actually a very popular version that somehow slipped under my radar. A typical otome game where the player can choose to build a relationship with a number of very beautiful samurai. Here Masamune is portrayed with Katakura Kojuro kneeling at his side.

He’s usually depicted wearing kimono but will sometimes don the crescent moon helmet when going off to battle.

Sengoku Providence Online (Action RPG Game)

And we have another gender-swap design! This online mobile game features many collectible ‘princess’ versions of famous samurai warlords, sorted into different ‘element’ categories. And when certain items or abilities are equipped they can change appearance into ‘evolved’ and ‘god’ forms. Masamune is of the wind element, and the render, of course, has dragon style colors and motifs. This is the ‘evolution’ appearance, but there are 2 others, the base appearance and ‘god’ form.

I think that makes a long enough post for now. Haha! I’ll continue my search and maybe post a 4th list in the future. I mean Date Masamune is super famous so it’s not surprising my lists are so long! Enjoy and Party On!

1. WHAT GOT YOU INTO SLBP, AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THROWING MONEY AT

Ah, actually I’ve been with Voltage since 2012 (WOO 5 YRS OTOME LIFE XD), so one day while lurking anonymously, someone’s blog reblog this particular post:

And IT’S LOVE AT THE FIRST SIGHT. So I download Tenka for a while but stop since my Japanese is so weak, then play it again after playing SLBP for some while. And I’m playing SLBP since the first day the apps in the Google Store xD Throwing moneyyyy, I think starts from Ieyasu route? I’m curious about that petulant brat and cannot wait for 5 passes every day, ends up buying all sets to finish him hahaha xD. Not spending money yet at Tenka, would be for Saizo sequel perhaps ^^

2. WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER, AND WHY? WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO THEM?

If my URL is not obvious, yeah, I’m one of Saizo little ladies. I mean, I’m intrigued by this apps coz of him in the first place hahahaha xD Well, he has all my ideals that create my bias.

3. ARE YOU STILL PLAYING THE GAME ITSELF, OR ARE YOU JUST ACTIVE IN FANDOM?

I’m still actively playing, I always there for every 5 hours for checkpoints and coins purpose xD And I have all freaking SS for SLBP and Tenka Main Stories and Event Stories even from the first event for all characters, taking up almost 40GB in my laptop OMG hahaha. Well the events is not repeatable (maybe sometimes out of a sudden) and the only way to save them is ScreenShots xD Trash much lead to determination lololol.

Yeah, I guess I’m pretty active in fandom? I just love sharing snippets that I read from Tenka~

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE VOLTAGE FANDOM?

Open and the willingness to share for fangirling? Hahaha xD LOL So much creativity - great fanfics, fanarts, fanedits, comments, headcanons and I love how silly yet so entertaining at the same time. Plus, I’ve met lots of nice and great people who chats together, it’s pretty fun to have more friends to share private stories with. Keep up the good works and nice comments, guys!

1. WHAT GOT YOU INTO SLBP, AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN THROWING MONEY AT VOLTAGE?

SLBP was kind of new and circling around in the Voltage fandom as I noticed--and I thought, “I like otome, and I also really like history, what could go wrong?” Many things went wrong, clearly, because I’ve been at it for almost a year now (which is like... a long time for me to be invested in one thing lmfao). I first downloaded it around... the end of July 2016? I was on a road trip and was Bored As Shit sometimes so I needed something to pass the time. 

I’ve been throwing money at Voltage even longer, though--I played their premium games back when all they had was Pirates In Love and My Forged Wedding back in 2012 or so. I kind of lost interest before getting back into some of their apps in... 2015-ish? Though I really only pay for some of those routes when I’ve got gift Google Play cards these days LOL Plus I’ve... just found better otome in general on other portable consoles, so there’s that, too.

2. WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER, AND WHY? WHAT FIRST DREW YOU TO THEM?

This is actually a really hard question! I can’t really like, point to one of the main lords and say, “it’s this one, this guy’s my favorite.” I’d say I have a preference for the second set of lords over the first set, but even then, I don’t think I dislike any of the given love interests though I do have a lot of problems with Voltage’s writing lmfao.

If I had to choose... I think given the type of character I like, I actually have a big soft spot for Toshiie--and that’s also me saying that, given how much I hated his actual canon route. I have so many complaints I could write a whole essay on it (and no, it’s not just that one scene most people talk about--miss me with the love triangle bullshit, treatment of Sayuri, the fact that I didn’t feel like MC was actually that close with Toshiie at all, and Narimasa’s last minute two-bit villain act among many other things. Miss. Me. With. That. Shit.) I like him in side routes, usually--generally a very supportive friend, maybe kind of dumb but he means well, perhaps too brash for his own good, and he’s actually very caring and thoughtful? Though perhaps very overprotective at times. I like that about him--but again, I don’t think they showed any of that very well at all in his actual main story. Which is disappointing lol

In terms of enjoying the actual story and such, I think I could also give this spot to Kenshin--I was really, really surprised by how much I actually liked him and his route. When it comes to characters in positions of power that are usually rather amiable or seemingly kind, I’m always super wary--but Kenshin never hid any type of evil intent or secretly manipulative sides, and I found that kind of refreshing? Certainly he wasn’t some innocent party or anything, but he had more sides to him than I actually would’ve expected. Plus the Uesugi clan is really great--I’d read it over and over for the retainers alone, if I had to LOL

I also have... many side character loves that I can’t even begin to name, so I won’t start that laughs

3. ARE YOU STILL PLAYING THE GAME ITSELF, OR ARE YOU JUST ACTIVE IN FANDOM?

I’m very active in-game and usually check every couple of hours to stock up on skill points--those point walls can be a pain in the ass lol I just finished all the story events... rip

I’m not exactly as vocal about my SLBP stuff here on my personal, but I do run @slbpdrabbles​ on the side. All my dumbass headcanons and drabbles go over there and I’ve been blessed to have people request so much from me tbh y’all are too nice ahhhh

4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE VOLTAGE FANDOM?

There’s like, a lot of writers here I’ve noticed--which is sort of nice! I feel like there’s always a plethora of stuff to read (for the SLBP fandom, anyway). I think it’s a relatively very creative fandom as well? There’s so many AUs, headcanons, and discussions going around that I appreciate tbh

5. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU’D SEE MORE OF IN SAMURAI LOVE BALLAD PARTY?

Better writing/plot progression/character development. Hm... Routes are kind of a big task, but I’d be happy to see more side character events or side stories? From what I know like, Nobuyuki, Keiji, and (I wanna say) Kageie have had events in Tenka--I’d like to see those brought over to SLBP. Also more ladies! I always want more ladies. LMFAO

An Offer You Can't Refuse

  Anime can be a tricky business. Sometimes when looking for something new to watch, you find a diamond in the rough, and sometimes you find a fugazi. Wouldn't it be nice to have a benevolent benefactor in such trying times?

  Let “Cruising the Crunchy-Catalog” be your godfather. Each week we provide additional info and cultural context for a title in Crunchyroll's online library, in order to help anime fans decide whether they want to promote an unknown show into being a made man, or whether they'd prefer to send it to sleep with the fishes.

    What's La storia della Arcana Famiglia?

  La storia della Arcana Famiglia (Italian for “The Story of the Arcane Family”) is a 2012 TV anime with direction by Chiaki Kon (Junjo Romantica) and animation production by J.C. Staff (Taboo Tattoo). The series is based on the 2011 otome game visual novel developed by HuneX and published by Comfort for the PlayStation Portable system. Crunchyroll describes the story of Arcana Famiglia as follows:

    "I will decide my own path!" The prosperous island of Regalo in the Mediterranean Sea is protected by a vigilante group called "Arcana Famiglia." The group's members are granted special powers through contracts with the "Toracco." Felicitá, the only daughter of the Papa and head of the family, has her mother's beauty as well as superior skill with knives. Though she was raised deep in the island, at age 16 she takes her first steps into the spotlight as a member of the family. Then, at her birthday party, her father, Mondo, announces that he is retiring. He declares a competition to determine his successor - and Felicitá must marry the winner. Felicitá enters the competition herself, determined to win so that she can decide her own path. The curtain will soon rise on the battle that will determine her fate!

    If you're expecting (as I was) from that description to see an entire anime revolving around an elimination-style tournament involving gangsters with superhuman powers, that's not exactly what you'll get. Instead, the Arcano Duello is reserved for the final episode of the series, and the bulk of the story involves the main characters solving problems, unraveling the mysteries of their pasts, and quietly falling in love as they try to grow strong enough to win the contest and to rescue Felicitá from her fate.

    Stand By Me

  Aside from the Italian-influenced setting, one of the most prominent elements of La storia della Arcana Famiglia is the fantastical influence of the Toracco, magical beings in the shape of the 22 Major Arcana from a deck of Tarot cards. As the series progresses, it plumbs the mysteries of these enigmatic entities, revealing surprising details about their motivations, the nature of the powers that they grant, and the hidden drawbacks of the contracts that they form with human hosts.

In order to win the tournmaent, Felicitá and her friends must understand the Toracco, but will they be able to muster the courage and the strength of will required to do so?

    House of Cards

  Although La storia della Arcana Famiglia gets off to a (literally) explosive start, it is not primarily an action anime. Likewise, the story has its comedic moments, but the majority of the show concentrates on the burgeoning romance as most of the male cast falls for Felicitá and she grapples with both her own feelings and her sense of familial love and filial obligation.

Similarly, family drama plays a major role in the plot. Not everyone in the Arcana family shares the same blood-bonds, but they all must band together despite their differences in order to protect the peace of Regalo, and the series spends a lot of time exploring these relationships as the characters grow and their desires and motivations change.

    Family Matters

  Despite its larger-than-life elements – pirates, gangsters, magic, alchemy, etc. – La storia della Arcana Family is ultimately about the many different shapes and textures of love, such as the love between parents and their children, between siblings, between friends, and between romantic partners. It explores how families pull together when faced with adversity, and it concludes on a surprisingly upbeat and life-affirming note.

    On the Day My Daughter is to be Married

  Crunchyroll currently streams La storia della Arcana Famiglia in 28 territories, including the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The series is available in the original Japanese language with English subtitles. The series is also published on DVD and Bluray in North America by Sentai Filmworks, and this home video version also includes an English language dub.

    Perhaps because of its origins as a visual novel, La storia della Arcana Famiglia has an atypical narrative structure and it occupies an unusual place within the genres that it explores. While definitely an acquired taste, if you're in the mood for mystery, magic, and romance, and if the series is available in your area, then you should consider giving La storia della Arcana Famiglia a try.

Otomate Party 2012 Hakuoki Live Drama - Karakuri Oni with eng subs

*sigh* For some seriously insane whim, I decided that that I’d be making an srt file for the Hakuoki Karakuri Oni Drama from the 2012 Otomate Party..... meaning that I’d be translating this from Chinese into English (won’t be doing a biyori this month cuz of this). 

This was originally translated for the Hakuoki community by @kirakirachiizuru[her original post is here: https://kirakirachiizuru.tumblr.com/post/87178696005/hakuouki-live-reading-otomate-party-2012].

Anyway, while I did my own translation for this, I did use kirakirachiizuru’s original translation to supplement my own translations for this with her permission for this video as it appears that certain Japanese terms do not translate very well to Chinese, and some things did sounded better in her translations than in what I had translated..... also Kazama’s stuff is never easy for me to translate.

Elle décide de partir pour Wind Bloom à la recherche de sa mère lorsque sa grand mère décède, et fais connaissance avec Nina Wang, une étudiante de l’école Garderobe qui forme les otomes, et Mashiro Blanc de Windbloom, la princesse du royaume. Leur rencontre s’accompagne de grabuge avec l’apparition de monstres qui seront vites maîtrisés par Shizuru, une Mai Star Otome, qui sont des femmes guerrières vouant leur vie à la protection de leur maître. Subjuguée par la prestance et la puissance de Shizuru, Arika décide qu’elle veut entrer dans l’école de Garderobe, et ainsi devenir une Mai Star Otome.

Un anime vraiment super sympa(Même si il y a pleins de fan services) Il ne faut pas se fier au coté bon enfant des premiers épisodes au début le coté un peu mécha m’a rebutée et j”ai eu beaucoup de mal a m’y mettre( J’ai recommencée la série 3 fois pour réussir a rentrée dedans) Mais une fois lancée j’ai dévorer la série d’une traite même si j’ai trouvée l’héroïne agaçante sur la première partie mais on fini par l’apprécier ❤ et les ost sont vraiment magnifique (Ma chanson préféré <3):

Hakuoki, nuovo OVA in cantiere per il franchise

Il nuovo capitolo della serie introdurrà il personaggio di Sakai Hyogo.

Annunciata la produzione di un nuovo OVA ispirato al popolare franchise otome di “Hakuoki”. Il nuovo adattamento animato della serie non ha una data di uscita per ora, ma è stato confermato che introdurrà il personaggio di Sakai Hyogo, del quale è stato diffuso un primo bozzetto, che vedete qui di seguito.

L’originale videogioco, che ha data vita alla saga, è uscito originariamente per Playstation 2 nel settembre del 2008, ma è poi arrivato anche in Occidente nella sua versione rimasterizzata, divisa in due parti chiamate “Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds” e “Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms”. Nel 2010 è stato pubblicato anche un prequel della visual novel, intitolato “Hakuouki Reimeiroku”, mentre di recente sono stati rilasciati due novi capitoli della saga dal titolo “Hakuoki Shinkai: Tsukikage no Sho” e “Hakuoki Shinkai: Ginsei no Sho”.

                         Yasu is prolific Japanese artist, illustrator, character and product designer from Nagoya Japan. Yasu is a veteran of the Tokyo Design Festa show having exhibited there many times under her brand name "Yorozu zakka Ebineko-ya" Ebineko Character Goods Company. Yasu’s original character designs come alive in a wide variety of media including plush, resin, soft vinyl, drawings, paintings, messaging stickers, and more! Her trademark character is “Ebineko” - a half cat and half shrimp character that seems to have gotten himself into some tempura batter. “Ebineko” was released as a soft vinyl toy earlier this year - Yasu sculpted the figure herself and painstakingly hand-paints every release. Her figure line-up has recently expanded featuring several new soft vinyl figures; “Same” - the three eyed shark, “Yamorin” - the Gekko Dragon plus a cute mini version of “Ebineko “are all on the way. She exhibited at the Taipei Toy Festival last year and did a live painting performance. She will be having a show in Shanghai in October with fellow artists Teresa Chiba, Hikari Bambi and Hinatique. Teresa Chiba

Teresa Chiba is a Japanese Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Through her own art production label - Production_Genmu - she releases creative works in a wide variety of disciplines including Yukata (summer kimono), daily items and live performances in addition to her illustrations and designs. Many of Teresa’s works are based on traditional Japanese motifs including Kabuki and Folk Art. Her illustration work celebrates the ‘Kabuki Otome” - the teenage girls of Kabuki who are passionate, brave, yet sensitive. She combines the pieces of their rock spirit with girly characteristics and encourages the girls of today to find themselves in Kabuki too. Her designer toys are inspired by Japanese folk art. “KIBUNADON” was her first design toy - fish Kaiju toy - which was released from Maxtoy company (USA) in 2014. Her newest toy design - INU-HARIGON - was self-produced and has already seen releases in a variety of colorways. The character is very popular and has recently been picked up by MEDICOM Toy (Japan), as both a Gacha toy in Vinyl Artist Gacha series 11, and as a Bearbrick in series 34.              Simone Legno is the Co-founder and Creative Director of tokidoki. Born in Rome, Italy, Legno, drew incessantly as a child. Kaori Hinata(Hinatique)

Kaori Hinata is a Japanese artist, illustrator and character designer. The overarching theme of her creative works is "The Cuteness of antiques and Nostalgia”. She loves drawing pictures, live painting and making Knick Knacks in felt, ceramics and other materials. Kaori’s first toy release was Kaiju Kinora - a cute little mushroom monster produced by Max Toy in 2015. Kaori continues to produce resin figures which she sculpts and paints herself. Her newest original character is called "Morris - The Cat with Antlers". Morris is a cat boy - but different from the average cat because he has big antlers on his head. “Morris” has proved to be a very popular character and will be released as a sofubi figure this fall. Additionally the character will be featured in the Medicom’s VAG (Vinyl Artist Gatcha) Series 12 and has been featured in mini picture book also released by Medicom. Her works has been featured in many exhibitions in Japan, and recently had a show in Taiwan at the Wrong Gallery with Teresa Chiba and Hikari Bambi. In addition to her own original characters, Kaori has produced collaborations with many popular properties including STAR WARS, ULTRAMAN, MAZINGER-Z, GACHAPIN & MUKKU and THE POWERPUFF GIRLS. Probably the world-first idol group to combine idol activities with cleaning activities, Tokyo CLEAR’S is an idol group with active sister groups in 9 different areas around Japan. TAKU INOUE

A popular sound designer, composer and DJ, Taku Inoue is one of the rising stars in in the club scene in Japan. Known for his cult hit songs in both fighting and idol games, he also composes for singers and does official remixes. In 2017 he co-composed and arranged the ending theme song for the anime “Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul” titled ”拝啓グッバイさようなら”, which was performed by the singer & rapper DAOKO. Shouya Namai

Shouya Namai started his DJ and composing activities back in 2006, with his music focus spanning across different genres from Trance dance music to pop music. REDSHiFT is one of the earliest VOCALOID producer units from Indonesia. The group consists of music producer, lyricist and illustrators. Masayoshi Minoshima is easily one of the best known producers in the Touhou Doujin music scene. His record label Alstroemeria Records, established in 2003, is rife with elements of House, Trance, UK Hardcore and Dancehall amongst a spectrum of genres, reflecting his musical versatility. Minoshima’s Touhou arrangements primarily showcase Techno and House music. In 2007, the genius producer was brought icon status by his arrangement and shadow-art video for “Bad Apple!!” – a staple with the Touhou fan base. Minoshima has since expanded his capabilities to producing and composing original tracks for major commercial projects and Japanese entertainment giants Konami and Taito.

DJ MarGenal started his DJ activities back in 2007 after coming in contact with club culture from hip hop music. Now, he plays at the heart of Anisong DJ boom “Anisong Index!!” event as one of the top artists. Skillful and experienced, he plays at regular events and other Anisong events all over Japan. In 2013 alone, he played in LISANI Night and Akinet Music Festival organized by the famous Akihabara Anisong club MOGRA. In 2014, he was invited to be the backup DJ for the Anisong singer ZAQ for notable events such as “AJ Night” and “Animesia”. D.watt (IOSYS)

D.watt is the multi-talented artist from the famous music production team "IOSYS" of Sapporo. A familiar name in Akihabara subculture scene like "Nico Nico Douga", anime, games scene. In the recent years D.watt has provided music and remixes to music game giants like SEGA, KONAMI, TAITO, NAMCO. Cheerful and bubbly, Hong Kong based popular cosplayer Siutao always strive for her best in cosplay, regardless in prop-making or sewing (she is especially fond of doing props!). Leon Chiro

Leon Chiro is a professional cosplayer from Italy, and the official cosplayer for large video game companies such as Ubisoft (Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs), Square Enix (Gladiolus - Final Fantasy XV), Capcom (Devil May Cry) and many more. He currently works for Riot Games as the official cos-model for the champion Rakan from League of Legends. Mirka Andolfo

Italian artist, Mirka is actually working at DC Comics on “Teen Titans” within the “Metal” event, “Wonder Woman” (with Greg Rucka and Shea Fontana) and “Bombshells” (with Marguerite Bennet). In Europe, she’s also an acclaimed author, thanks to her best seller creator-owned series as “Sacred/Profane” and “Unnatural”, sold in many countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands...). She started very young her career as colorist, working on important international properties like “Mickey Mouse”, “Geronimo Stilton”, “Ice Age” and “Adventure Time”.

Hiro Kanzaki

A multi talented individual, Hiroyuki ODA is widely known within the anime industry for his involvement with many hit titles in Japan’s anime scene. Going under the alias of Hiro Kanzaki, he have provided original character design to some of the most memorable anime in the recent times namely My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, Eromanga Sensei and Go! Go! 575, where he also provides the art illustration for the original light novel. As an animator, Hiroyuki ODA have worked on many hit titles such as Eureka Seven: AO, Rozen Maiden, Ichigo Mashimaro and most notably HEROMAN. Breaking out of illustration and animation world, he is known to be rocking the dance floor as DJ HanasoumenP (HSP) in NicoNico Douga. In the midst of this busy schedule, he is also known to participate in Comiket as the circle “tabgraphics”.

Joyce Chin

Joyce Chin has been working in comics since 1995 when she pencilled for Guy Gardner: Warrior for DC. Since then, she has been working on many other titles, interiors and covers on stories for the Hulk, Spider-man, Green Lantern, Witchblade, Red Sonja, and many others through various publishers. Currently, other than pencilling and inking Marvel covers, she also works on book, game, magazine and toy packaging illustrations.

James C. Mulligan

James C. Mulligan's fine artwork is recognized internationally and collected by famous personalities from Hugh Hefner, Dick Van Dyke, Oscar winning composer Richard M. Sherman, Brad Pitt to Holly Madison, Fred Durst, Roger Daltrey and many others. James also works with corporate clients including: Disney, Lucas Films, Warner Brothers, Hollywood, Magic Castle, Lexus and Playboy whereby he won an art direction award for Playmate of the Year. He is also the estate's official artist for Elvis Presley Enterprises and working with notable organizations and companies. Frank Cho

Frank Cho is an Emmy Award-winning and critically acclaimed writer and illustrator. He is known for his newspaper comic strip series, Liberty Meadows, as well as for books such as Mighty Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, Shanna the She- Devil, the Hulk and Savage Wolverine for Marvel Comics. As of this year, he is the cover artist for Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn at DC Comics.

Frank Cho is noted for classical and energetic figure art, beautiful women illustrations, humorous writings and adventure stories.

He is currently working on several creator-owned projects, Skybourne at Boom Studios, Guns & Dinos at Image Comics, and World of Payne with novelist Tom Sniegoski for Flesk Publications. When he’s not writing and drawing, Frank Cho is napping.

David mack is the Emmy nominated, New York Times Best Selling Author & Artist of KABUKI, writer of Marvel's Daredevil, cover artist of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, Jessica Jones, & Fight Club 2 by Chuck Palahniuk. Artist on Jessica Jones opening titles & Captain America The Winter Soldier film titles & US Comic Book Ambassador of Arts & Story for US State Dept. Mack created artwork for the the opening titles of the new Jessica Jones Netflix TV series (winner of the Peabody Award), based on the book he was co-collaborator on. The opening titles he worked on with Imaginary Forces garnered an Emmy Nomination in the category of Outstanding Main Titles. For the Academy Award nominated film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Mack created the art & concept for the titles sequence with Sarofsky Designs, which received recognition for the Excellence in Titles Design Award. Mack contributed artwork for the opening titles of Robert Rodriguez's Matador TV series with Sarofsky designs, and contributed art (and a cameo role) for the Powers TV series at Sony. Adi Granov

Adi works as an illustrator and designer primarily for Marvel. His most notable works include the Iron Man: Extremis series, written by Warren Ellis, and his role as a conceptual designer and illustrator on the Iron Man films and the Avengers. He worked on key character designs and created keyframe illustrations for the action sequences. He recently completed work on the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther movies. For comic work Adi is currently under an exclusive contract with Marvel and has produced covers for multiple series over the last few years, as well as a number of short interior stories. He has also designed statues for companies such as Kotobukiya and Sideshow, and has created album cover art and tour posters for multi-platinum selling rock band, Tool. Adi currently lives in England with his wife, Tamsin, and their two very weird cats. He likes aeroplanes, trains and cars, and working on his 1967 Lotus Elan.

Arthur Adams, a self-taught artist, became a fan favorite when, at the age of 19, he left his job making pizzas for the masses to pencil the critically-acclaimed Longshot limited series, written by Ann Nocenti and published in 1985 by Marvel Comics. He has been in high demand as an artist since. Adams' highly distinctive and detailed artwork gained him considerable popularity amongst fans and editors, if not his inkers, and he's enjoyed being a cover artist, and the artist and sometime writer for miniseries, specials, and annuals. These days, in order to spare inkers the pain, his work is largely shot directly from pencils or inked by himself, with some exceptions. In his career, Arthur has worked on many titles, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X men, Godzilla, Vampirella, Rocketeer, the Authority, Danger Girl, Excalibur, and the Hulk, to name a few. He also launched his creator owned, written, and drawn series Monkeyman and O'Brian in 1993 with Dark Horse Comics "Legend" imprint. He also had a ten-issue run on an anthology series featuring the character Jonnie Future. The eight page Jonnie Future stories appeared in Tom Strong's Terrific Tales (2002–2004). More recently, Arthur has been working on Ultimate X for Marvel Comics with writer Jeph Loeb, and issue one launched in 2010. Adams has provided cover images for issues of the Justice League of America, Appleseed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Green Lantern, Hulk, Avengers, X Men, Red Sonja, Superman, Batman, and Vampirella, among other titles. In addition to his work in comic books, he has also produced popular commercial art, such as numerous illustrations for trading cards, posters, shirts, and various other comics-related merchandise. Outside the field of comics, he has also provided illustrations for various magazines, movies, video games, and worked in toy design, packaging art, and even a series of X-Men-themed Campbell Soup cans. Arthur lives in Northern California in the woods somewhere, like his hero, Bigfoot. When told he should have a "Web" site he went outside and tried to spin his own web.
