assorted Transformers fics to rec (part two!)
first list here! have more fics i missed the first time or discovered since then or were recommended to me by others! if you decide to read these, i recommend leaving a comment if you can to encourage the writers and show some love! 🥰 note: the ones marked with * were ones i read a long time ago and did not reread before adding them to this list, so i am going off the good vibes in my memory
An Act of Revenge for Crimes Uncommitted
canon soup, incomplete, AO3. young Orion Pax wakes up mutilated, empurata'd, and his assailants punished him for the crimes of one Optimus Prime. ooooo this is kind of heartwrenching, truly intriguing and unjust and mmmmm drama. time travel, gore, mind the tags here, a fascinating look at a bad timeline! some of the functionism stuff in here actually helped inspire my own functionist setup in SNAP
Blackout and Reboot
canon soup, complete multichap, AO3. amnesia was not on the table when Thundercracker agreed to go undercover as a human. giant robot aliens weren't on the table when Marissa took it upon herself to help the weirdest guy she'd ever met. it's a match made in heaven. i love this fic okay it's got some fantastic wth moments and TC being TC and Marissa being awesome and just. i like it. the writing could use some technical polish but the action and plot concept are good, and the fun alien/human interactions are my jam. has a sequel i haven't read
Canonfodder*
TFP, incomplete, Spacebattles. a series of harrowing updates from a poor hapless nobody isekai'd into the body of a Vehicon on dead Cybertron, and all the nonsense that spirals from there. i like this one, the pacing can get a lil jagged and the technical skill of the writing is a bit off but that's often the nature of these forum fics, i didn't mind it. definitely love the inclusion of Kup, and space video games, and the limited but interesting choices the protag can make when presented with such a dismal situation makes for a very compelling, journal-style story. if you don't know how to navigate forum fics like this, just use the links in the first post to skip to each snippet
Catching Feelings
TFA, oneshot with sequel, AO3. Bumblebee and Charlie are clearly a Thing, so what's Optimus doing thinking about her so much? honestly i just like this ship concept especially in a TFA context, it's very cute and awwwww poor Op, sorry you're experiencing emotions!
Commonality and Misunderstandings
canon soup, incomplete, AO3. a collection of scenes showing just how humans and mecha can figure each other out, no matter how wide the cross-cultural divide. this is cute! i like the human OCs and the shenanigans. talks about gender perceptions, has some mech-preg mentions, and hits some good emotional moments
the consequences of being a vehicle on Earth - even if only as a part-timer
TFA, oneshot, AO3. out of everyone who has to deal with the legality of autonomous sentient vehicles, it's Fanzone. dear god, save him. a very funny little read that honestly addresses some things i constantly wonder about re: driving laws and the bots. nothing more tortuous than the DMV!
Curious Thing, Isn't It?
vaguely G1, oneshot, AO3. the Ark crew, freshly crashed on Earth and uncomprehending of English, discover one of the tiny squishy native inhabitants. a very cute little scene, i love the variety of reactions and how they treat the kid they found
A Fourth to Remember
G1, oneshot, AO3. it's the 4th of July, and Wheeljack has taken it upon himself to make a fireworks show. lovely little story of his typical nonsense taken large-scale, and some interesting culture collision too!
The Great Space Opera
IDW/TFP crossover, incomplete, AO3. Brainstorm does a whoopsie and uh oh, is that Team Prime in the Lost Light? only a little bit written but VERY fun and i love the mindbending reactions of Ratchet meeting Ratchet. the whole premise is just. mwah
Introduction to Cybertronian Biomechanics
canon soup, incomplete, AO3. a small collection of medical essays and articles detailing a breakdown of anatomy. really fascinating, very coherent explanation that manages to condense canon and fanon into something understandable, perhaps even plausible!
Liberty Island's Decisive Battle: Godzilla vs Trypticon!
Aligned/Godzilla crossover, oneshot, AO3. when Trypticon is resurrected by dark energon and heads towards New York, Fowler remembers a certain other giant lizard monster that might be able to help. Rescue Bots cameo, Miko gets to speak Japanese, Godzilla is awesome, this is just the fic ever
Malto Family Search & Rescue
ES, oneshot, AO3. a Decepticon named Thundercracker shows up at the Malto home in the middle of the night to beg a vital favor: help find his lost dog! SUCH a cute and good and wonderful little fic that fits right in to canon!! i love TC and i love the Malto family interactions and just. oogh lovely little fic. has sequels that i am saving for a rainy day pick me up
marriages of convenience (and the inconvenience of explaining them)
IDW, oneshot, AO3. Minimus is a widower. this fun fact is dropped rather unceremoniously. the painful awkwardness is marvelously in character, there are feelings and funnies and an uncomfortably heartfelt discussion about this matter-of-fact revelation that manages to characterize each of them so well, especially Minimus
Murder Mystery Night
IDW, oneshot, AO3. it's NIGHTBEAT'S NIGHT, BABY! lovely little mystery following around the Lost Light's greatest detective when a fun game night is abruptly shut down by a real actual murder! can Nightbeat find the killer in time?
nothing is more sacred than any other thing
vaguely G1, oneshot, AO3. Skyfire is a nerdy scientist with nerdy friends, which means most shenanigans surrounding him are nerdy. very cute and fun little fic about friends and mushrooms and Starscream being duped! first in a series of oneshots that i haven't gotten around to reading yet but look equally lovely
Objectification
G1, oneshot, AO3. a human and a Cybertronian have very different opinions on who exactly the victim is in an oversexualized music video. stupid funny and good, just the way i like it! last line kills me
Optimus Prime is Destined to Die!!
canon soup AU, incomplete, AO3. poor little Orion is isekai'd into a Cybertronian fantasy light novel as one of the soon-to-die forgettable side characters: the cold prince Optimus Prime. supposed to be MegOp but that hasn't really shown up yet. fantastic premise i leapt at immediately, with interesting royal politics and classic isekai tropey vibes. it's a little slow in places from a lot of (warranted!) purple prose introspection, but i find it cool enough to read through and follow poor Orion adjusting to his new existence!
Return Me to the Stars
TFA AU, incomplete, AO3. when a near-dead little Prime is picked up by the Nemesis, it sparks a lot of shenanigans, mysteries, and interesting political developments, all thanks to Optimus being Optimus. i really love the way this fic is developing, with a terrified Autobot in enemy territory doing the best he can, an expanded cast of Decepticons, a lot of fun worldbuilding, and very engaging and dynamic interactions. features a good bit of whump for our tough lil Prime. tagged as MegOP which is still slowly developing, pretty realistically taking their time to find some kind of even footing without breaking their characterization which i greatly appreciate! the writing itself could use some spellchecking but the plot and pacing are very engaging nonetheless
Scaredy-Car
G1, oneshot, AO3. i love a good comedic misunderstanding and boy the assumptions people are making about Breakdown are WHOOF. kinda cracky, a smidgeon dirty, and just the right amount of loserness that is the entirety of the Decepticon army
The Season of the Smallest Stars
sorta IDW/Stardew Valley crossover?, incomplete, AO3. you weren't expecting a small troop of adorable little robots to help you with your farmwork. a very soft cute little fic, i love it!!! never played SV but it's easy enough to follow along anyway, and i love the cute beeping Lost Light bots helping out our farmer
Second Star From Morning
technically IDW, incomplete, AO3. only a little bit written but SELF INSERT BABYYYYYYYYY gotta love it when your protagonists are aware that this is in fact a fictional character! the panic, the questions, the wahuh?? captivating premise, i hope the author comes back to it someday
Skywarp And The Wonders Of The Unnatural World
G1, oneshot, AO3. their summary sums it up best: "The Elite Trine have a very serious and mature debate on the existence of mythical creatures." extremely funny to me, i LOVE when they're stupid and petty and catty and silly!! Skywarp is so dumb i love him so much
Small Problems*
G1, ongoing series, AO3. average human Crystal finds some shrunken Autobots lost in the big city, and her life only gets weirder from there. an OC-centric series that--spoilers for later in the series--may have been one of the original "human turned into Transformer" fics! the whole series goes from sweet and funny to heartwrenching and angsty, with a lot of in between. i love the OC and sympathize with the horrible things she ends up going through, and also the heights to which she rises! slowburn Prowl/OC, with a bit of love triangle with Jazz in there too (funfact this was the second ever piece of media in which i encountered Blurr)
Sparkless
TFP, incomplete, AO3. a Vehicon left behind finds itself fixed up by a human, and might just gain some personhood along the way. a VERY sweet little story oogh i love this Vehicon!! poor thing i want to give them hot chocolate and a blankie. it's a lovely story with an intriguing premise
Stop Me*
TFP, incomplete (but with over 200 chapters), FFN. Starscream nearly dies at the claws of the Predacons... and then he's alive again, in the past, as if none of that ever happened. a rather (in?)famous fic in the fandom, i've found, although when i first read it i didn't know that. a very interesting take on a Starscream redemption AU, paired with some fascinating outlier power moments! a little bit wooby about Screamer (maybe a lot wooby?), a lot of whump, a lot of emotion, maybe some hints of StarOP idk if that's become an actual ship since i last checked. ymmv on this one depending on your Starscream opinions but i was hooked for the whole time for sure! i need to catch up, it's technically still updating. also the author has another, shorter, complete Starscream redemption fic which i also enjoyed, check that out too
A Streetcar Named Traitor
G1, oneshot, AO3. Megatron doesn't take Starscream's defection well and Optimus has had enough. very stupid, very funny, makes me cackle as Megsy gets dunked on
Sudden Active Development... I certainly feel SAD at the moment*
TFP, incomplete, Spacebattles. another isekai forum fic, this time somebody gets dropped into the body of Nemesis Prime and has to deal with running around as an Optimus lookalike! i like the misunderstandings and the process of adapting to a strange new body. some stilted dialogue, and it gets a little weird about gender perception but i can gloss over that. ramps up with more canon characters, a sprinkling of OCs, and completely taking canon off the rails within the last few posts! this one has threadmarks for easy navigation
Turning Points*
vaguely G1 AU, incomplete, FFN. Prowl was one of the most brilliant tacticians among the Decepticons, and then they destroyed his home. it's gonna be a long climb into the good graces of the Autobots for this defector. an absolutely fantastic character driven piece with a brilliant premise, i love how Prowl is written. and the politics of defecting and dealing with a security hazard, mmmmm good!
An Uneasy Partnership*
sorta G1/Armada/canon soup?, ongoing series, FFN. Alexis keeps an unruly Starscream in her barn. this can only go well. this series is WILD, it escalates and gets worse and then better and then worse again, you root for Screamer and then you hate him, poor Alexis is on a constant horrid rollercoaster but hey, (spoilers), she gets a cool robot body and also a tyrant king boyfriend out of it??? but man is it a long, manipulative, whumpy road to get there. the powerplays and emotional turmoil in their dynamic just keep going and it's fascinating, although probably not for you if you don't like bad power imbalances. it's the end of the world as we know it and whatever comes on the other end is going to be only as good as you make of it. i think this series may also be sort of (in)famous in the fandom? idk i don't pay attention that well
Untitled
IDW, drabble, tumblr. in an unexpected meetcute, Minimus finds himself rescuing Rung. honestly it's just a quick little concept of a conversation but it has captivated me and i'm obsessed with it

Tumblr media
Art and Fanfic AU by MelSpyRose
SEASON 3:
Chapter 40: Fire in the Sky
Megatron is frustrated now that he doesn't have his son, Orion Eclipse, as his heir or Starscream as his second-in-command since they've betrayed him. But then, Jhiaxus arrives and he offers to help Megatron and his Decepticons with their quest for revenge. Meanwhile, Knockout talks to his partner, Breakdown, about his past friendship with Starscream and he even mentions how Starscream was betrayed by his former friend, Skyfire, who renounced the Decepticons and joined the Autobots during the Great Autobot-Decepticon War. Jhiaxus tells Megatron that he can be his new second-in-command if he can help him destroy Optimus Prime and claim both the Allspark and the Matrix of Leadership.
Optimus Prime and his team of Autobots return to Earth which they've considered to be their second home where they find a frozen Autobot in the Arctic Circle. They thaw him out of the block of ice and the Autobot introduces himself as Skyfire. Meanwhile, Starscream, Slipstream, and their fellow Seekers plan on overthrowing Megatron so that the Decepticons can have a new leader since Megatron has become dangerously powerful and unhinged after Blackarachnia turned him into a triple-changer. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime and his team of Autobots bring Skyfire back to their base in Detroit where they introduce Skyfire to Sari Sumdac.
As it turns out, Optimus Prime and the Autobots have been collecting the techno-organic Energon over the past few months and they've had Decepticon encounters because the Decepticons want to collect the techno-organic Energon for Megatron to use for his schemes. Now that it seems that all the techno-organic Energon has been collected while most of them were stolen by the Decepticons, they now have to come up with a plan to make sure that Megatron doesn't try to destroy the Earth again. Skyfire decides to join Optimus Prime and his team on their mission to protect the Earth and humanity from the evil forces of the Decepticons.
When our heroes head over to a forest, Starscream and his clones come out of hiding and have Optimus Prime and his team outnumbered. When Starscream sees Skyfire, memories of Skyfire betraying Starscream and renouncing the Decepticons to join the Autobots cause the Seeker to go after Skyfire in an attempt to make him pay for betraying him many stellar cycles ago. Optimus Prime tries to stop Starscream and he tries to convince him and Slipstream to join the Autobots so that they can work on defeating Megatron once and for all, but Starscream and Slipstream refuse. Sari Sumdac knew that Slipstream being reformed was too good to be true as she just goes back to her evil ways and works with Starscream.
The Autobots fight the Seekers and Skyfire helps our heroes while at the same time, Starscream tries to destroy Skyfire as payback for betraying him many stellar cycles ago. When the City Speaker, Windblade, comes to help Optimus and his team fight off the Seekers, she saves Skyfire before Starscream kills him and Starscream fights Windblade and Skyfire before Starscream retreats with Slipstream and the Seekers. Afterward, Optimus Prime and his Autobot team return to the Autobot base to have Ratchet mend their injuries.
Chapter 41: The Decepticon Menace
Optimus Prime goes to an abandoned building to investigate a crime scene that Captain Fanzone spoke about when suddenly, Optimus Prime confronts a shadowy figure with piercing red eyes. To his shock, the figure reveals himself as Sentinel Prime, now reborn as the vengeful Decepticon renamed, Jhiaxus. Jhiaxus blames Optimus for his downfall as Sentinel Prime and vows to exact revenge on him, accusing him of stealing his girlfriend, Elita-One.
Despite Optimus's attempts to reason with him, Jhiaxus insists on his new identity and launches a fierce attack. The battle between them is intense, with Jhiaxus using his enhanced strength, claws, and lasers, while Optimus counters with his Energon axe and strategic prowess. Their fight spills out of the building into the moonlit night, highlighting their contrasting approaches—Jhiaxus's brute force against Optimus's determined resolve.
Optimus urges Jhiaxus to embrace redemption, but Jhiaxus, driven by anger and vengeance, refuses. Their clash continues, with Optimus leveraging his values of courage and compassion. The confrontation reaches a critical point at a nearby chemical factory, where Optimus leads Jhiaxus for a showdown.
As the power plant's machinery hums ominously, the battle escalates. Optimus's unwavering dedication to justice fuels his efforts, hoping to reach the remnants of Sentinel Prime within Jhiaxus. Despite Jhiaxus's taunts and fury, Optimus remains resolute, fighting not just for victory, but for the hope that even the darkest spark can find redemption. The clash between Optimus Prime and Jhiaxus becomes a pivotal struggle, with the fate of their world hanging in the balance.
Elita-One arrives just in time to aid Optimus Prime, drawing her weapon against Jhiaxus. Recognizing his former lover, Jhiaxus expresses surprise at her return to normalcy. Confused, Elita-One doesn't initially recognize him. Jhiaxus reveals their past and accuses her of choosing Optimus over him. When Elita-One realizes his identity, Jhiaxus angrily asserts his new persona. Their confrontation sets the stage for a complex battle, highlighting their deep personal history and transformed identities. Optimus Prime warns Elita-One to leave, but Jhiaxus attacks him. Elita-One confronts Jhiaxus, aiming her weapon at him. Jhiaxus taunts her and reveals Optimus Prime's involvement in Sentinel Prime's death and rebirth into Jhiaxus. Optimus Prime intervenes, but Jhiaxus threatens to conquer Cybertron and take Elita as his own. Elita asserts her independence.
Jhiaxus tells Elita-One and Optimus Prime that he is no longer Sentinel Prime and that he now works for Megatron as a Decepticon. Optimus Prime tries to reason with Jhiaxus, but Jhiaxus refuses to listen to reason as he tries to kidnap Elita-One so that he can force her to love him. Elita-One and Optimus Prime work together in fighting off Jhiaxus and the Decepticon flees after promising that he will return to exact his revenge on Optimus Prime. When Captain Fanzone asks Optimus Prime what had happened, Optimus explains that Sentinel Prime is back from the dead, but is now reborn as Jhiaxus!
Chapter 42: Confrontation
On Cybertron, Orion Eclipse reunites with his long-lost mother, Firestar, after believing her to be dead for many stellar cycles. Their emotional reunion reveals Megatron's deception, as Orion learns that his mother didn't perish at the hands of the Autobots but instead divorced Megatron and disappeared. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime grapples with guilt over Sentinel Prime's transformation into Jhiaxus, but Elita-One reassures him, emphasizing Sentinel's betrayal of his principles.
Optimus Prime starts to remember his childhood and he starts to remember his friendship with Sentinel Prime, Elita-One, and even Megatron. After some consideration, Optimus Prime decides that he should find and confront Jhiaxus. But when he arrived in Detroit, he found out that Jhiaxus attacked Professor Issac Sumdac and that he's been hospitalized and is now in a coma, leaving his daughter, Sari Sumdac to feel depressed and heartbroken and traumatized by what happened to her father. Optimus Prime decides to go after Jhiaxus and take him down to avenge Sari's father.
In the heart of Detroit, Optimus Prime confronts his former comrade-turned-nemesis, Jhiaxus, amidst the aftermath of Jhiaxus's brutal assault on Professor Issac Sumdac. As the two clash, emotions run high, with Optimus demanding answers and Jhiaxus harboring deep-seated resentment towards his former friend.
Despite Optimus's attempts to reach out and reconcile, Jhiaxus remains consumed by his thirst for revenge and his desire for power. The confrontation escalates into a fierce battle, with the fate of Earth and Cybertron hanging in the balance. As the echoes of their conflict fade into the night, Optimus Prime remains steadfast in his commitment to protecting the innocent and fighting for what's right, even in the face of overwhelming darkness.
Jhiaxus steals the Magnus Hammer from Optimus Prime and prepares to kill him. At that moment, Sari Sumdac, driven by the desire to avenge her father, attacks Jhiaxus with all her might. As she is about to defeat him, Optimus Prime intervenes to stop her. Taking advantage of the distraction, Jhiaxus transforms into a jet and escapes. Optimus Prime tells Sari Sumdac that seeking revenge won't save her father, but Sari refuses to let Jhiaxus get away with his crimes. Meanwhile, Jhiaxus swears to get his hands on the Allspark and the Matrix of Leadership and says that he won't rest until he gets what he wants.
Chapter 43: Blow Off Some Steam
Harold Attinger and the steampunk vigilante group S.T.E.A.M. return, along with the villain Meltdown. Attinger asks Meltdown to create a mutagen to transform him into a powerful robot-slaying machine. However, things go awry when the Autobots accidentally spill the mutagen on both Attinger and Meltdown, resulting in them becoming a combined steampunk and acid-powered golem monster.
Meanwhile, a mysterious police car frequently visits Sari, offering her comfort after the tragic events caused by Jhiaxus. Finding solace in her new friend and therapy pet, Sari later discovers that the police car is Prowl, who has been reborn as a police car. When the combined steampunk and acid-powered golem monster, dubbed "Acidsteam," attacks Detroit to lure the Autobots out of hiding, Prowl merges his Allspark spirit with the police car, returning to life. He joins forces with Optimus Prime and the Autobots to defeat Acidsteam and protect the city.
After working together to defeat Acidsteam, Optimus Prime and his Autobot and human friends are overjoyed to have their comrade, Prowl, back from the dead and with a new look. Prowl tells our heroes about his afterlife in the Allspark and how he's seen the future of things yet to come. After Prowl is reunited with the Autobots after coming back from the dead, he joins Optimus Prime and his team on their quest to safeguard the techno-organic Energon and to defeat Megatron and the Decepticons once and for all to save both Earth and Cybertron from their threats. Meanwhile, Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet gain a new goal of ending the rivalry between Decepticons and Autobots when they get transported to a distant planet during a battle with Henry Masterson and are met by the dragon Predacons and the true Predaking.
Chapter 44: A Head Start
When Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet encounter Predaking and the Predacons, the Predacon leader explains that they were transported to a distant planet by a mysterious space bridge portal that appeared in their prison cell. Faced with the challenge of returning to Earth, Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet must devise a plan to avoid being stranded in this new world. Suddenly, Henry Masterson, also known as The Headmaster, appears and takes control of Predaking's body, detaching Predaking's still-living head. Forced to team up with the Predacons, Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet must work together to reunite Predaking's head with his body, which has been stolen by The Headmaster.
After a fierce battle, Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet successfully defeat the Headmaster, reattaching Predaking's head to his body. In their search for a way back to Earth, they find another space bridge portal. As they prepare to leave, the Predacons express their gratitude and bid farewell to Orion and Altair. With Henry Masterson arrested by the police, the group steps through the portal, returning safely to Earth.
Chapter 45: Beast Wars
Megatron II has taken over as the new leader of the Predacons, while Optimus Primal leads a reformed group of Predacons now known as the Maximals. Meanwhile, a mysterious spider-like figure named Airachnid, who bears a striking resemblance to Blackarachnia, discovers Meltdown's former mutant pets and Colossus. Using techno-organic Energon, she transforms them into Predacons: Nightscream the bat, Hammerjaw the shark, and Stockade the pangolin-gorilla hybrid. However, Nightscream, once a troubled teen striving for redemption after his father's death, chooses to join the Maximals, determined not to repeat the dark path of his past.
Dinobot, disillusioned with Megatron II and the Predacons, defects to the Maximals along with his sister, Delta, who falls in love with their leader, Optimus Primal. Optimus Primal adopts the young and eager Cheetor as his foster son, creating a familial bond within the group. The Maximals learn about a powerful artifact called the Golden Disk, which they must secure before Megatron II and the Predacons can use it for their sinister plans to conquer Cybertron.
Embarking on a perilous quest, the Maximals race against time to find the Golden Disk. Dinobot's knowledge of Predacon tactics and Delta's support strengthened the team. Throughout their journey, they face numerous challenges and clashes with the Predacons. Cheetor, eager to prove himself, learns valuable lessons under Optimus Primal's guidance. In a final confrontation, the Maximals manage to secure the Golden Disk, thwarting Megatron II's schemes. This victory solidifies Dinobot and Delta's place among the Maximals, and strengthens the bonds within the team, guiding them towards a hopeful future for Cybertron.
Chapter 46: United We Stand, Divided We Fall
Jhiaxus, initially an ally to Megatron and his Decepticons, aids them in stealing techno-organic Energon from the Autobots and captures key figures like Slipstream, Starscream, and the Seekers. However, Jhiaxus soon reveals his true intentions by betraying and overthrowing Megatron, establishing himself as a formidable leader. With the Stunticons and Combaticons under his command, Jhiaxus forces the Decepticons into submission. In a surprising turn of events, Megatron survives and he gathers his minions and plans to ally with his nemesis, Optimus Prime, and the Autobots to thwart Jhiaxus's sinister plans. As Jhiaxus schemes to conquer Cybertron, seize the Allspark and Matrix of Leadership, and destroy Earth, Megatron and Optimus Prime unite their forces to stop him. Their alliance becomes crucial in preventing Jhiaxus from wielding ultimate power and ensuring the safety of both worlds.
The Stunticons combine into Menasor and the Combaticons combine into Bruticus as they've been sent by their new master, Jhiaxus, to destroy the Autobots and get the Allspark and the Matrix of Leadership. Optimus Prime and his Autobot team have found a way to combine into one Autobot combiner with Prowl as the sword, Jazz as the right arm, Optimus Prime as the torso, Bumblebee as the chest, Arcee as the left arm, Ratchet as the right leg, Bulkhead as the lower waist, and Ironhide as the left leg. Together, the Autobots combine into Autonomous Maximus. After defeating Bruticus and Menasor, Autonomous Maximus tries to defeat Jhiaxus, but he's proven too difficult to defeat as he easily defeats the Autobots before leaving.
Optimus Prime and his Autobots find themselves in the Sahara Desert, strategizing on how to defeat their arch-enemy, Jhiaxus, once and for all. Suddenly, Megatron arrives with Shockwave, Knockout, Breakdown, Blitzwing, Lugnut, and a squadron of Vehicon clone troopers. Despite the tension, Megatron surprises everyone by proposing a truce rather than a battle. Optimus cautiously engages with Megatron, questioning his motives and intentions. Megatron offers a compelling proposition: to join forces against their common enemy, Jhiaxus, whose threat looms large over Earth and the galaxy. Although skeptical, Optimus acknowledges the gravity of the situation and the potential benefits of an alliance.
As they negotiate terms, Megatron's desire for revenge against Jhiaxus becomes evident, driving his eagerness for cooperation. Despite their deep-rooted animosity, Optimus sees the necessity of putting aside past grievances for the greater good. After careful consideration, Optimus reluctantly agrees to Megatron's proposal, understanding that their alliance is temporary and fraught with risks. With the fate of Earth and Cybertron hanging in the balance, Optimus and Megatron embark on an uneasy partnership, knowing that betrayal could have dire consequences for both sides.
Chapter 47: Teamwork
Optimus Prime and his Autobot friends team up with their nemesis, Megatron, to defeat Jhiaxus. Meanwhile, Orion Eclipse spends some time with his mother, Firestar while his girlfriend, Altair Comet spends some time with her mother, Elita-One. Orion had learned where his mother had been all this time and Firestar had already explained to her son how she divorced Megatron and returned to the Autobots and how she wasn't allowed nor was she able to save Orion from his evil father. Firestar reveals to her son that he had a younger sister named Vespera and how she was much like her father. Firestar told Orion how Vespera turned to evil, renounced the Autobots, and joined the Decepticons.
Meanwhile, Altair Comet talks to her mother about how she and Orion Eclipse have come up with the intention to end the never-ending war between the Autobots and the Decepticons by uniting the two factions to start a new era of peace and unity. However, Elita-One tells her daughter that the Decepticons and the Autobots won't end their civil war peacefully so easily. But Altair says that there has to be a solution for the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons to end. Back on Earth, Optimus Prime and Megatron and their Autobot and Decepticon armada work together to fight against their common enemy, Jhiaxus.
Jhiaxus orders the Stunticons and the Combaticons to destroy the Autobots and Decepticons, but they turn against their master after combining into Menasor and Bruticus. Being outnumbered, Jhiaxus flees, allowing Megatron to become the leader of the Decepticons once again. After Jhiaxus escapes, Optimus and Megatron part ways and they return to being enemies once more. Optimus Prime and his Autobots decided to return to Detroit where they can help Sari Sumdac who is still traumatized by her father's near-death experience which put him into a coma after he was attacked by Jhiaxus. Meanwhile, on a moon in outer space, Jhiaxus discovers that he can shapeshift, disguise himself, and alter his appearance, and he comes up with an evil revenge scheme and decides to use his shapeshifting abilities to his advantage.
Chapter 48: Rise of the Tyrant
Two days after the Autobots and Decepticons united to defeat Jhiaxus, Optimus Prime and his team focused on helping Sari Sumdac while her father, Professor Sumdac, remained in a coma at the hospital. One night, Optimus Prime received a call from Elita-One, asking to meet at an abandoned building. He instructed Bumblebee, Arcee, Ironhide, Jazz, Prowl, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Sari Sumdac, Orion Eclipse, Altair Comet, Steve the Vehibot, Grimlock, and the Dinobots, and Smokescreen to stay at Sumdac Tower while he went to find Elita-One. Upon arriving at the building, Optimus Prime was ambushed by Jhiaxus, who revealed his ability to shapeshift and mimic voices. Realizing it was his nemesis, not his wife, who had summoned him, Optimus Prime attempted to reason with Jhiaxus.
However, the Decepticon remained resolute in his ways, nearly killing Optimus Prime and throwing him into the ocean from a bridge. Jhiaxus then took on the form of Optimus Prime, intending to lead the Autobots back to Cybertron under the guise of Optimus and conquer it. Red Alert arrives on Earth at Ratchet's request to serve as Sari Sumdac's nurse. Meanwhile, Jhiaxus reveals himself disguised as Optimus Prime before transforming into Sentinel Magnus. In Cybertron's throne room, Jhiaxus, taking the form of Sentinel Prime as a Magnus, confronts Ratchet, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Jazz, demanding their submission. The Autobots refuse to bow before a false leader, leading Jhiaxus to reveal his true form and unleash his army of brainwashed Autobot soldiers, igniting chaos and battle across Cybertron. His sinister plan includes forcing Elita-One into marriage to solidify his control over the planet.
During the clash, Jhiaxus captures Elita-One and her daughter, Altair Comet, along with several Autobots. He manipulates Elita-One with threats against her loved ones, coercing her into agreeing to marry him to save them. Meanwhile, on Earth, Optimus Prime is found severely wounded by Orion Eclipse, Sari Sumdac, and Smokescreen. They bring him back to their base, where Red Alert works tirelessly to heal him, knowing that Optimus's survival is crucial for Cybertron's liberation from Jhiaxus's tyranny. As the Autobots struggle against Jhiaxus's forces, the fate of Cybertron hangs in the balance, dependent on Optimus Prime's recovery and their resilience in the face of overwhelming darkness.
Chapter 49: The Last Stand
Sari Sumdac and Red Alert work tirelessly to heal Optimus Prime's wounds, ultimately saving his life. Once recovered, Optimus Prime returns to Cybertron, only to find the planet conquered and enslaved by Jhiaxus. Determined to liberate his world from Decepticon tyranny, Optimus frees his Autobot team and rescues his daughter, Altair Comet, before racing against time to save his wife, Elita-One, from a forced marriage to Jhiaxus. Crashing the wedding, Optimus Prime confronts Jhiaxus and the two battle fiercely for Elita-One's freedom. However, Jhiaxus knocks Optimus unconscious and kidnaps him. When Optimus awakens, he finds himself on Arachna 7, the same organic planet where Elita-One was presumed dead and transformed into Blackarachnia many stellar cycles ago.
Jhiaxus reveals his evil plan to leave Optimus to die on Arachna 7. He torments Optimus by transforming into Elita-One and Blackarachnia, reminding him of the tragic past. Tying Optimus on a rock, Jhiaxus declares that he will suffer a similar fate and become a freak like Blackarachnia. Disguising himself as Optimus Prime, Jhiaxus leaves the real Optimus to be surrounded by giant spiders. Optimus Prime, using his resolve and strength, manages to break free from his restraints and evade the giant spiders. He quickly commlinks Elita-One, urgently requesting her rescue from Arachna 7. Meanwhile, Jhiaxus, still in disguise as Optimus Prime, tries to deceive the Autobots, manipulating them with his false identity.
Elita-One, upon receiving Optimus's distress call, rushes to his location with a team of Autobots. They successfully rescued Optimus from Arachna 7 and confronted Jhiaxus together. The real Optimus Prime and Elita-One expose Jhiaxus's true nature, revealing his deceit to the Autobots. Enraged by Jhiaxus's betrayal and his crimes, the Autobots attempt to arrest him. However, Jhiaxus manages to flee, making his way back to Earth, and leaving a trail of chaos in his wake. Optimus Prime and his Autobot friends return to Earth on a mission to defeat Jhiaxus once and for all. Optimus confronts Jhiaxus and they begin their final battle. In an epic battle, Optimus Prime unleashes the power of the Matrix of Leadership and when it hits Jhiaxus, Optimus thinks that he killed him at first, but then he is shocked to discover that the Matrix of Leadership had magically turned Jhiaxus back into Sentinel Prime somehow.
Thankfully, the Matrix not only turned Jhiaxus back into Sentinel Prime, but it also gave him amnesia. After defeating Jhiaxus with the Matrix of Leadership and turning Jhiaxus back into Sentinel Prime, Optimus aims to help him recall his true identity and reform him for good. Bumblebee proposes imprisonment for Sentinel's past crimes, while Bulkhead argues he's no longer a threat. After deliberation, the Autobots return Sentinel to Cybertron. Optimus Prime pardons him before guiding his redemption, as Sentinel grapples with guilt over his actions as Jhiaxus. In the dimly lit chamber of Metroplex, Sentinel Prime confronted Optimus Prime, his voice filled with remorse as he grappled with his past actions. Sentinel expressed deep guilt over his betrayals and crimes, questioning whether he could ever be forgiven. Optimus Prime, embodying compassion, assured Sentinel of the potential for change and redemption, drawing a parallel to Elita-One's transformation from Blackarachnia.
Optimus explained that he believed in Sentinel's capacity to reform, despite his deep remorse and the severe consequences of his actions. He acknowledged Sentinel's pain and the self-doubt stemming from his fall from grace and the choices that led him away from the Autobots and into the hands of the Decepticons. Offering words of comfort, Optimus urged Sentinel to forgive himself. They emphasized that redemption might be possible, though it would require time and effort to regain trust and prove his allegiance to the Autobots again. Sentinel, moved by Optimus's forgiveness and support, expressed a desire to change and to earn back his place among the Autobots. Reassured by Optimus's outstretched hand of friendship, Sentinel felt a spark of hope for redemption and reform. Optimus's acceptance and belief in his capacity to change marked the beginning of Sentinel's journey towards self-forgiveness and reintegration into the Autobot ranks, hinting at the possibility of redemption.
SEASON 4:
Chapter 50: A Second Chance
After Sentinel Prime was no longer the evil Decepticon war criminal, Jhiaxus, he tries to regain the trust of his former Autobot friends, but they gave him the cold shoulder. Bumblebee couldn't forgive Sentinel after he crushed his voice box one time to make him mute to prevent him from telling everyone about Sentinel's treachery which left Bumblebee traumatized even after Ratchet repaired his voice box which Sentinel Prime crushed when he turned to evil by Doomsayer.
Sentinel becomes a social outcast and Optimus Prime would try to help his former enemy as Sentinel Prime struggles with his reformation. One night, Sentinel Prime was in his room when he saw his evil reflection in the mirror haunting him and reminding Sentinel that he'll never be forgiven for the crimes he committed. The next day, Sentinel Prime meets Skyfire, the esteemed explorer and scientist of the Cybertronian Council. Skyfire empathizes with Sentinel, sharing that he understands his pain and remorse, having once been a villain himself.
Sentinel laments that he will never be fit to lead Cybertron, especially now that Optimus Prime has officially succeeded the late Ultra Magnus as Magnus while still retaining the title of Prime. Skyfire reassures Sentinel, advising him to be patient and trust that forgiveness will come in time, now that Optimus has pardoned him for his crimes as Jhiaxus. Buoyed by Skyfire's words, Sentinel Prime prepares to embrace his second chance and rejoin the Autobots.
Chapter 51: The Rise of Safeguard
Sentinel Prime tries to mend his relationship with the twin brothers, Jetfire and Jetstorm, but they hesitate to trust their former ally. As Sentinel recalled, Jetfire and Jetstorm were born because the Autobot Elite Guarded intended to use the captive Starscream to help create the first flying Autobot. But the resulting twin brothers, Jetfire and Jetstorm were more than they bargained for. Sentinel then gets a flashback where in response to Decepticon uprisings on the galaxy's rim, Ultra Magnus sends a secure message to Autobot troops, urging a strong show of force to assert Autobot superiority. While he doesn't see the need to revive Project Omega, he considers unorthodox upgrades, including installing unprecedented flight protocols in Autobots, using data from the captured Decepticon Starscream. Despite skepticism from Sentinel Prime and Jazz, Magnus believes Starscream's programming holds the key.
Although Starscream escapes, Magnus successfully announces to the Autobot Council that the data download was completed. He assigned Perceptor to begin Project Safeguard, advising him to use expendable test subjects from farms and refineries instead of Elite Guard resources. A pair of refinery bots cause a catastrophic industrial accident and are sent to the Ministry of Science as "volunteers" for Perceptor's experiment. Using the split protoforms, Perceptor sees an opportunity to advance Project Safeguard despite Wheeljack's concerns about potential side effects. Over a deca-cycle, the twins undergo an upgrade process, and their reinforced structures are ready for presentation to Ultra Magnus.
Magnus assigns the newly named Jetfire and Jetstorm to Sentinel Prime for training, despite Sentinel's resentment. The twins excel in combat tests but destroy much of the training grounds, leading Magnus to suggest simulated combat. Jazz oversees their training, finding them overconfident due to their flight abilities. Perceptor proposes using Starscream's programming to upgrade the combat simulator. In the simulator, the twins easily defeat drone troops but struggle against a simulated Starscream, who brutalizes them and prepares to mutilate Jetstorm. Perceptor, alarmed by the unexpected sadism of the simulation, finds the simulator rigs arcing with electricity, preventing the Elite Guard from intervening.
Jetfire, enraged by Starscream's attack on his brother, discovers he can project flames, blasting Starscream away. This new ability endangers the facility as Jetfire's body becomes immolated in the simulator rig. His sibling, Jetstorm, manifests the ability to produce intense cold with his wind turbines, balancing Jetfire's flames. Despite their new powers, Starscream floors the twins again, prompting them to merge into a powerful gestalt form, Safeguard. In this form, they finally defeat Starscream, allowing Perceptor to end the simulation. Impressed by their capabilities, Ultra Magnus inducts the twins as junior officers in the Elite Guard and assigns them to join Sentinel Prime in the pursuit of the Autobot traitor, Waspinator.
Chapter 52: Trial and Error
Orion Eclipse helps Optimus Prime and the Autobots defeat and arrest Megatron and his Decepticons before they bring Megatron back to Cybertron to put him on trial. Sentinel Prime has a nightmare about him being haunted and tormented by his inner Decepticon, Jhiaxus. When Sentinel wakes up from his nightmare, Skyfire comforts him and he tells him that he won't become a Decepticon again. Sentinel worries that he won't be a good Autobot and he fears of becoming evil again, but Skyfire, Jetfire, and Jetstorm reassure Sentinel Prime that he won't become Jhiaxus again.
The trial at Jekka Amphitheatre begins in earnest as Team Athenia brings Megatron to court while keeping him in stasis cuffs and with a mouth clamp ala Hannibal Lecter style. Megatron confides in Optimus Prime that the Prime's moral code will ensure proper due process. Alpha Trion lists Megatron's many crimes, and when Megatron pleads innocence, Orion Eclipse loudly denounces his father, Megatron and tells the crowd that he deserves life in prison for being an abusive father. The witnesses for the prosecution, Blitzwing, Shockwave, and Lugnut zealously confirm Megatron's plans for global domination.
Even with the trial being a dead cert, Optimus introduces the only witness for the defense, Megatron himself. The Decepticon leader's proclamations of returning Cybertron to its golden age at the heart of an empire sway the audience, an audience too young to remember the horrors of the war; an audience that were disillusioned by Sentinel's restrictive leadership when Sentinel Prime was about to become Cybertron's new ruler before his downfall which led him to be corrupted by Doomsayer.
Optimus realizes too late that Megatron's plan was to radicalize this audience with a few well-chosen words, with Optimus Prime himself given a front-row seat for Megatron's final victory! With a riot about to break out, matters are complicated further by the arrival of Strika and Team Chaar! Sentinel Prime tries to redeem himself and help Optimus and the Autobots by getting the Powermaster armor, but his motor relays are disabled by Scalpel. Optimus overhears the immobilized Sentinel that this wasn't the way things were meant to go.
Megatron and his Decepticons flee and Megatron vows to get his revenge on his son, Orion Eclipse, for betraying him, but his ex-wife, Firestar says that she won't allow him near their son as long as she lives. After Megatron and the Decepticons leave Cybertron and return to their fortress of Kaon on Earth, Optimus Prime holds the Matrix of Leadership as well as the Allspark Matrix and Alpha Trion thinks about what must be done to keep the Allspark Matrix safe. Sentinel Prime is unhappy that he failed to help the Autobots and says that he'll never prove that he's reformed and Sentinel Prime starts to feel like he doesn't belong on Cybertron since no Autobot will ever accept or forgive him for the crimes he committed in the past even though Optimus Prime has pardoned Sentinel for betraying the Autobots.
Chapter 53: Dinobots and Dilemmas
Sideswipe has greatly improved since becoming an Autobot and training at the Autobot Academy. He has befriended Grimlock and the Dinobots, while Wheeljack has devised a way to create more Dinobots, believing they will be invaluable to the Autobots.
Strongarm, now a cadet after training at the Autobot Police Academy, experiences flashbacks of her old friend, Nightra. Many stellar cycles ago, Strongarm and Nightra were best friends and fellow cadets at the academy. They got into trouble together, including an incident where Dropforge caught them drag-racing in the Hall of Studies and another where they tried to arrest a Wrecker for speeding, resulting in damage to Nightra's Autobot insignia and identity signal.
Nightra's downfall came when she was caught with a keyfile for one of her exams. She tried to persuade Strongarm to take the blame, but Strongarm refused to lie under questioning by the Academy's Proctors, leading to Nightra's expulsion. Afterward, Nightra turned to a life of crime and disappeared from Strongarm's life.
In the present, Strongarm spends some time with her siblings, Ultra Violet and Plasma Storm, and their mother, Violet Star, who remains deeply saddened by the loss of her husband, Ultra Magnus. Wheeljack introduces his new Dinobots: Slag, the Stegosaurus; Sludge, the Brontosaurus; and Slash, the female Velociraptor. These Dinobots join Grimlock, Snarl, and Swoop, and together, they, along with Sideswipe, enjoy some time together. Sunstreaker and Roadbuster take responsibility for the Dinobots, while Sideswipe visits Strongarm. He shares his own experience of losing a parent, recounting how he and his twin brother, Sunstreaker, were orphaned as children before being raised by Roadbuster. Meanwhile, the Autobot Academy welcomes a new recruit, Sentry, who is eager to begin his training to become an Autobot.
Chapter 54: Turn of the Tide
Optimus Prime and the Autobots return to Earth and they find out that Megatron and his Decepticons have attacked Detroit. Sari Sumdac faces Megatron despite Bulkhead and Bumblebee warning her not to fight the Decepticon leader. Sari Sumdac fights Megatron at a destroyed city of Detroit that is now in flames. Megatron tries to convince Sari to join him so that he can help her find out about her origins, but she refuses and then Megatron throws the biggest bombshell at her, that he created her the whole time.
Megatron reveals to Sari Sumdac that she is half-Cybertronian because he created her protoform and placed it in Professor Sumdac's lab, making him her true father. Despite Sari's initial denial and anger, Megatron insists she join the Decepticons, offering her a choice: either help them defeat the Autobots or watch her friends die. After a futile struggle, Sari reluctantly accepts Megatron's offer, tearfully accepting a special key from him that transforms her into a powerful warrior. She sorrowfully acknowledges her new allegiance, apologizing to Optimus, her human father, and her friends.
Megatron gives Sari Sumdac a Decepticon key which turns her into a humanoid Decepticon warrior with red eyes and silver hair. Professor Issac Sumdac who has now recovered from his injuries he got from Jhiaxus and has finally awakened from his coma, finds out what is happening as his daughter, Sari, attacks the Autobots while she's under Megatron's control. Professor Sumdac rushes to help his daughter snap out of Megatron's control until Prowl manages to remove the Decepticon key from Sari's chest, reverting her back to normal. Sari turns against Megatron and she was about to kill him until Orion Eclipse's long-lost evil sister, Vespera intervened and she gets to become Megatron's true new heir to the Decepticon empire after joining her father's side.
Megatron and his long-lost daughter, Vespera, prepare to annihilate Optimus Prime and the Autobots. But then, Team Athenia and Rodimus Prime arrive on Earth to assist Optimus Prime, the Autobots, and the Sari Sumdac in defeating Megatron, the Decepticons and Team Chaar. Megatron quickly offers Optimus a place at his side in a new Decepticon empire, forsaking the corrupt Autobot government. Optimus tells Megatron that the Autobots will never bow to a tyrant and threatens to put Megatron down for good!
Sari and the Autobots have overpowered the Decepticons and Sari, saying that she finally knows her destiny, she imbues Powermaster Optimus and the Magnus Hammer with AllSpark energy. Optimus quips that with the power of the AllSpark and the symbol of Cybertronian leadership, he now possesses everything Megatron ever wanted — and gives it to him, severing Megatron's head!
With Megatron defeated, Vespera orders the Decepticons and Team Chaar to retreat to Kaon to have Knockout, the Decepticon medic, repair Megatron and reattach his severed head. Team Athenia and Rodimus Prime arrive on Earth to assist Optimus Prime, the Autobots, and the Centurions in defeating Megatron, the Decepticons, the Predacons, and Team Chaar. With Megatron defeated, Vespera orders the Decepticons and Team Chaar to retreat to Kaon to have Knockout, the Decepticon medic, repair Megatron and reattach his severed head.
Triumphant, our heroes celebrate the salvation of Detroit and Earth. Sari realizes her true identity and place, declaring that she belongs on Earth. She vows to continue having adventures with Optimus and the Autobots, who are not just her friends and guardians, but her family.
Chapter 55: Loose Ends
With the AllSpark returned to Cybertron, Alpha Trion explains that it must be returned to its source, the Well of All Sparks, in order to restore its ability to birth new life to Cybertron. For this mission, and for her connection to the AllSpark, he chooses Sari, to be accompanied by Bumblebee and Bulkhead. The three journey under Cybertron's surface, where Bulkhead discovers a mural relating the AllSpark's mythic origins: it rose out of the Well and breathed life into the planet.
Its container was forged by a mysterious hammer that fell out of the sky – one that would come to the symbol and weapon of the Autobot leader. This Magnus Hammer made the Autobots powerful enough that they created a universe-spanning empire.
The team are attacked by Inferno and Antagony, Blackarachnia's Predacon experiments in league with Megatron II and Airachnid! Megatron II seeks to dissect Sari and learn the secrets of organic technology so he can change Cybertron's destiny forever! Fleeing the Predacons, Sari, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead come face to face with the Well of All Spark's automated defences...the Centurion droids!
Chapter 56: The Secret Origin of Sari Sumdac
At the Well of All Sparks, Sari defends her friends from the Centurions' attack by using the AllSpark container as a shield, correctly reasoning that the Centurions would not attack something birthed from the Well. Sari, Bumblebee and Bulkhead head into the Well chamber while the Centurions hold off the Predacons. Sari drops the AllSpark into the Well.
Prowl's astral form appears, telling Sari that it's time for her reward: the answer she seeks. Prowl tells them that the AllSpark is a collective consciousness that exists across time and space, showing the three Autobots visions of their past, present and future adventures. Prowl reveals that it was the AllSpark that placed her protoform in Sumdac's lab, with the intention that Sari grew to be an avatar for its power and to bridge the worlds of human and Transformer.
Sari became the AllSpark's agent, then the conduit for its power, and as Prowl's spirit returns to his body when it's revealed that Prowl now has the power of astral projection, he tells her that it has one last job for her. The skirmish between Sari, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, the Predacons, and the Centurions erupts into the amphitheatre. Bumblebee opens up a space bridge portal which sends the Predacons back to a primitive planet where the Maximals and the Predacons live. Using the AllSpark's omnipotence, Sari makes use of the vision-granting ability demonstrated by Prowl to reveal that Doomsayer will return and he and his own minions will try to steal the Matrix of Leadership in order to summon an evil god who is a much bigger threat than Megatron: Unicron.
Chapter 57: Instruments of Destruction
Doomsayer has returned, reuniting with his Destructicon armada, known as the Inner Circle and the Cult of Unicron. He expresses his longing for their reunion, eager to collaborate on summoning Unicron to devour Earth and Cybertron. Their plan centers on finding the Matrix of Leadership, which they intend to use to summon Unicron. Meanwhile, Sentinel Prime is plagued by nightmares of his former evil self, Jhiaxus, leaving him sleepless for days. This worries Optimus Prime and the other Autobots. Sentinel confides in Optimus about his fear of reverting to a Decepticon, but Optimus reassures him that it won't happen.
Later that day, Sentinel Prime visits Skyfire, the esteemed explorer and scientist of the Cybertronian Council.
Sari Sumdac, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead warn Optimus Prime and the others about Doomsayer's plan to steal the Matrix of Leadership and summon Unicron. When Doomsayer and his Destructicons arrive at their hidden lair on Earth, they have already recruited Starscream, Slipstream, and the Seekers. Doomsayer convinced them to join the Destructicons by promising Starscream help in overthrowing Megatron, allowing him to become the new leader of the Decepticons. Though initially skeptical, Starscream reluctantly accepted the offer, and he and Slipstream joined forces with Doomsayer and his armada.
Meanwhile, Ironhide, Jazz, Ratchet, Arcee, Prowl, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Orion Eclipse, Altair Comet, and Bulkhead are aboard Omega Supreme in his ship mode, traveling outside Cybertron with some Energon reserves. Suddenly, they are attacked by a group of evil robots: Doomsayer, Starscream, Slipstream, the Starscream clones, and the Destructicons. Doomsayer demands the Autobots reveal the location of the Matrix of Leadership. Orion confronts Doomsayer to protect his comrades. Recognizing Orion Eclipse, Doomsayer reveals he knew Orion as an infant and explains how he was once Megatron's Decepticon general before being banished for plotting to overthrow Megatron. Doomsayer then asks Orion Eclipse to join him and Starscream in killing Megatron, but Orion refuses, leading to a fierce battle inside Omega Supreme.
Doomsayer unleashes his Dark Energon lightning, damaging and poisoning Omega Supreme. Desperate, Orion Eclipse and the Autobots contact Rodimus Prime and the Elite Guard for help before Omega Supreme goes offline. Leaving the heroes and Omega Supreme to die in space, Doomsayer and his followers focus on killing Optimus Prime and seizing the Matrix of Leadership. Rodimus Prime and the Elite Guard arrived just in time to rescue Orion Eclipse and his crew. The Autobots bring Omega Supreme back to Cybertron and work tirelessly to save him from the toxic effects of Dark Energon. They manage to neutralize the poison without succumbing to its deadly energy, but Omega Supreme falls into a coma rather than dying.
Chapter 58: Embracing the Unexpected
While the Autobots work to ensure Omega Supreme doesn't go offline, Optimus Prime has a family reunion with his younger son, Sentry, who has joined the Autobot Academy and befriended Sideswipe and Strongarm. Bumblebee also befriends Strongarm and Sideswipe, while Optimus introduces Sentry to his long-lost mother, Elita-One. Optimus and Elita-One then have a private conversation about Sentry's origins and why Optimus never told her about him. Optimus explains that Sentry is adopted, but Sentry himself is unaware of this. Altair Comet also reunites with her younger brother, Sentry, introducing him to her boyfriend, Orion Eclipse.
Elita-One privately tells Optimus that Sentry bears a striking resemblance to Sentinel Prime, sparking her curiosity about Sentinel's potential family members beyond his deceased parents. Optimus admits he also noticed the similarity when he first adopted Sentry many stellar cycles ago. He insists that Sentry must not learn about his adoption yet, but Elita-One suggests they conduct a CNA test to discover Sentry's biological parents. Later that day, Sentinel Prime informs Optimus Prime that he is leaving Cybertron, feeling that he no longer belongs there. Despite Optimus's plea for him to stay, Sentinel insists that his departure will be better for everyone on Cybertron. After a heartfelt farewell, Sentinel Prime takes his spaceship and leaves the planet, with Optimus bidding goodbye to his former rival and friend.
Optimus Prime then heads to Metroplex for a meeting with the Autobot High Council. He discusses with Alpha Trion the potential threat posed by Doomsayer, his Destructicons, Starscream, and Slipstream. Optimus warns that if they obtain the Matrix of Leadership, they could summon Unicron, who is far more dangerous than Megatron. The return of Unicron would threaten both Cybertron and Earth, as he would devour both worlds.
Meanwhile, Sentinel Prime travels far away from Cybertron to find a new home. He enters a planet called Caminus which is a world inhabited by fembots. After arriving on that planet, Sentinel Prime enters a city where he gets cat-called by fembots while trying to find a new home for him to spend his self-exile. Sentinel Prime would be sad and lonely as he finds himself alone in the city on the planet of Caminus. Sentinel Prime sat on a worn bench, feeling the weight of his burdens. His usual stoic demeanor faltered as he struggled with his emotions. A soft voice interrupted his thoughts, asking if he was okay. It belonged to a fembot named Vanguardia, who revealed she knew of him despite never meeting him before.
When she asked why he was crying, Sentinel initially denied it but soon admitted his tears. Vanguardia listened patiently as he recounted his past regrets and sins. She understood his quest for peace and redemption and offered her help, revealing she was the Queen of Caminus who had pardoned former criminals before. Surprised by her status, Sentinel apologized, but Vanguardia reassured him. Despite his initial reluctance and desire for solitude, Vanguardia's unwavering compassion and revelation that she liked him stirred hope in Sentinel. After a moment of vulnerability, he accepted her invitation to her palace. Walking side by side, Sentinel felt his burdens lighten slightly, finding hope and the promise of redemption in the kindness of a queen.
Chapter 59: Youthful Ties and Villainous Plots
Optimus Prime begins to miss Sentinel Prime, prompting a flashback to their childhood. He recalls when they were young, exploring the Sacred Temple of the Thirteen Original Primes, marveling at the stained-glass windows, including one depicting his mother, Thetas Prime, holding the Matrix of Leadership. Optimus also remembers playing with Sentinel and Elita-One as children, noting the romantic feelings both he and Sentinel had for her. As they grew older, Elita-One's affection for Optimus became clear.
The flashback shifts to their teenage years, when Optimus, Sentinel, and Elita-One attended prom together. At that time, Elita was dating Sentinel, but eventually, she chose to be with Optimus as they reached adulthood. In the present, Optimus holds the Matrix of Leadership, once his late mother's, vowing to use it wisely and protect it from enemies. Meanwhile, Sentinel Prime starts a new life in the city on the planet Caminus.
Sentinel Prime wants to see Queen Vanguardia again and hopes to start a friendship with her, despite the difference in their statuses. Meanwhile, on Cybertron, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Strongarm, Orion Eclipse, and Altair Comet form a team after winning a race, and Sideswipe strengthens his friendship with Grimlock and the Dinobots. Back on Earth, in Kaon on Dinobot Island, Megatron devises an evil plan to create a clone of Optimus Prime. He orders his loyal servant, Soundwave, and the bounty hunter, Lockdown, to steal Optimus Prime's CNA, enabling Shockwave and Knockout to proceed with Project Nemesis.
Elsewhere, in Doomsayer's hidden base on Earth, Doomsayer announces his plan to build an Interdimensional Space Bridge Portal to access alternate dimensions. Although Starscream finds this idea suspicious, Doomsayer convinces him to recruit the Constructicons for the task. Starscream and his Seekers fly to the last known location of the Constructicons, gather them, and bring them back to Doomsayer's lair. There, Doomsayer and his Destructicons compel the Constructicons to begin constructing the Interdimensional Space Bridge Portal.
Chapter 60: My New Arch-Nemesis
On the planet Caminus, Sentinel Prime reconnects with Queen Vanguardia and chooses to befriend her as he gets to know her better. Sentinel Prime shares with Vanguardia the reasons behind his departure from Cybertron, revealing his past as the evil Decepticon Jhiaxus before his reformation. Vanguardia forgives Sentinel for his past actions and words, and he explains his desire to become Magnus to honor Ultra Magnus's legacy and make him proud.
Sentinel also discusses his childhood, describing how his parents were killed by the Quintessons, after which Ultra Magnus took him in. Sentinel always yearned to become the leader of the Autobots and ruler of Cybertron. He acknowledges that perhaps he was never meant to succeed Ultra Magnus as Sentinel Magnus. Now, with Optimus Prime having taken on the role of the new ruler of Cybertron and Supreme Commander of the Autobots, Sentinel must seek his true destiny. Vanguardia believes that Sentinel's journey may have brought him to her planet to discover his true purpose.
Meanwhile, on Cybertron, Optimus Prime gets his CNA stolen by Shockwave after his ferocious encounter with the bounty hunter, Lockdown, who knocked the Autobot leader unconscious and he not only stole Optimus' CNA for Project Nemesis but Lockdown also stole the Matrix of Leadership from his chest. When Optimus regained consciousness, he is shocked to discover that the Matrix has been stolen. What's even more shocking is that Optimus had also been kidnapped by Lockdown and Shockwave. They take the Autobot leader back to Kaon on Earth where Lockdown gets his reward after he and Shockwave hand the Matrix of Leadership over to Megatron. Megatron orders Knockout and Shockwave to use Optimus' CNA to create a clone of Optimus for Project Nemesis.
Knockout and Shockwave give life to Optimus Prime's evil clone which they named "Nemesis Prime" at the science lab. After Nemesis Prime is created and programmed to obey Megatron and serve the Decepticons, Optimus Prime struggles with finding his way out of Decepticon captivity. In desperation, Optimus contacts his Autobot allies to rescue him and help him get the Matrix of Leadership back. Megatron tries to use the Matrix to make himself invincible, but the Matrix of Leadership doesn't give him its ultimate power as it finds the Decepticon leader unworthy. Bumblebee gets Optimus Prime's urgent call for help and Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots go aboard Rodimus Prime's space ship to travel back to Earth to rescue Optimus Prime. Back on Earth in Kaon, Optimus Prime tries to defend himself from his evil clone, Nemesis Prime, who attacks him and tries to terminate him for good.
Optimus Prime would try to combat Nemesis Prime, but realizes that the one bot he cannot defeat is himself as Nemesis has proven to be more powerful than Optimus. When Nemesis Prime defeats Optimus Prime, Megatron tells Optimus that it's not too late for him to join the Decepticons since Megatron and Optimus Prime were once best friends in their youth from when they were children, but Optimus refuses to become Megatron's slave and he gets beaten up by Nemesis Prime. Megatron would tell Optimus that he'll never be a good leader like his predecessor, Ultra Magnus, and that he will always lose. Optimus asks Megatron what he plans to do after he gets rid of him, but Megatron refuses to tell his archenemy his evil plans since he knows that Optimus will only tell his friends what Megatron is up to.
Chapter 61: Battlefront
Bulkhead and Bumblebee fight against Breakdown and Knockout with the help of Sideswipe, Strongarm, and Sari Sumdac and Orion Eclipse while Wheeljack, Prowl, Jazz, Ironhide, Smokescreen, Ratchet, Arcee, Cliffjumper, Steve, Rodimus Prime, Orion Eclipse, and Altair Comet all work together in rescuing Optimus Prime from the clutches of Megatron and the Decepticons. When our Autobot heroes find their way into the city of Kaon and break into Megatron's fortress, they fight a dozen Vehicon clone troopers as well as a few other Decepticons like Blitzwing, Lugnut, Soundwave, Lockdown, Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Ratbat and of course, the Decepticon leader himself—Megatron! Megatron wears the Matrix of Leadership in his chest and he introduces Nemesis Prime to our heroes while lying about Optimus Prime being killed. Enraged, Smokescreen fights Megatron to avenge Optimus Prime, but Smokescreen would be no match for Megatron before the Decepticon leader reveals to Smokescreen that he killed his parents and that he was the Decepticon leader who stole and adopted Smokescreen as a baby before the Autobots rescued Smokescreen as a child. Realizing that he's fighting against his parents' killer, Smokescreen is shocked and horrified.
Meanwhile, Sideswipe and Bumblebee fight against Knockout while Bulkhead and Strongarm fight against Breakdown. Breakdown loses his optic when Bulkhead violently strikes his archenemy in the face with his wrecking ball and Knockout gets his paint job ruined by Bumblebee which enraged him. Sideswipe tries to help Bumblebee defeat Knockout, but the Decepticon medic gets the upper hand and he zaps them both and Knockout even zaps Strongarm while Breakdown knocks Bulkhead unconscious. Sari Sumdac risks her own life to save her Autobot friends from the Decepticon duo and she unleashes her powers to fight off Breakdown and Knockout. Back in the fortress of Kaon, Lugnut tries to kill Steve for betraying the Decepticons and Steve says that he's no longer a Vehicon clone trooper but rather a Vehibot who will risk his own life to protect the Autobots. Optimus Prime regains consciousness and he sees his Autobot friends and family fighting against the Decepticons. Optimus, despite being injured, struggles to save his friends and family but gets caught by his evil clone, Nemesis Prime. Orion Eclipse intervenes and he fights Nemesis Prime to save Optimus Prime.
Rodimus Prime finds Smokescreen fighting against Megatron and he decides to help the young Autobot. Smokescreen failed to defeat Megatron to avenge the deaths of his parents and just when Megatron was about to deliver the final blow, Rodimus gets the Matrix of Leadership out of Megatron's chest and the Matrix finds Rodimus Prime worthy to wield its power due to his spark being pure. Rodimus Prime attempted to use the power of the Matrix of Leadership to save Smokescreen and kill Megatron once and for all, but he is suddenly stopped by Megatron's daughter, Vespera. Just when all hope seems lost, Orion Eclipse and Altair Comet have found a way to set the entire city of Kaon to self-destruct. Vespera fights her brother, Orion Eclipse, and she calls him a traitor to their father, Megatron, but Orion tells his sister that their father must be stopped no matter the cost. The Autobots and the Decepticons evacuate the city of Kaon before it explodes and the Autobots take Optimus Prime back to Cybertron to mend his wounds. Megatron and his Decepticon army have escaped, but have lost Nemesis Prime. But just when it seems like a happy ending for our heroes, little do our heroes and villains know is that Optimus Prime's evil clone still lives and has survived under the rubble of the destroyed city of Kaon.

Do you have any AUs you really like kicking around that you haven't talked about as much?
Yessss actually! I popped in a read more, if you don't mind
There's my Dynamo and rescuebots au, which I've written a bit about (and ended up freaking out halfway through the last ficlet of it😅)
I play a lot with my tfa Mockingbird oc and how they'd be created and introduced to the autobots
I had this old au was was based on the cyberformed earth concept but it was naturally based around a random character who wasn't autobot or Decepticon adjacent and almost in a sorta "okay fuck, the apocalypse happened, now i have to map the terrain and learn new things" way
I frequently find myself going back to the plotline of the tfp autobots capturing a semi-rogue Decepticon who just... stays there and both parties get attached. Sometimes said con was friends with orion and tronus before the war, sometimes not. I have found similar plotlines that are same but earthspark.
I've played around with a bayverse x tfp continuity before as i think they would compliment each other nicely worldbuilding wise
I've probably posted about it before but the idea of Megatron having a friend/amica/whatever in the backround who absolutely gave the shovel talk to Orion and is frothing at the intake to bestow said shovel consequences to Oppy for breaking Megatron's spark
Tfp but Whirl comes to earth plotline, and Bulkhead actually gets super protective of Whirl because he fucking knew what that guy went through and is gonna set things right this time
"Oh Fuck Overlord? On Earth? I guess the autobots, Decepticons, and humans have to work together against this menace"
I've posted about it before but the LL coming to the tfp universe
The Transformers: the play au me and Techni went back and forth on!
Posted about this before but a tfa "Decepticons win and most/all autobots are captured" situation where a moderately higher ranking Decepticon finds the situation sorta fucked up and slowly but surely acts as a double agent to betray the Decepticons and get as many autobots as possible onto drumroll here a tfa version of the Lost Light!
The one tfa oc Firefłight being a lazy big bastard with a frenemies-ish situation with Fanzone and pushing Starscream off of tall buildings
Naturally rescue bots plotlines that include them coming to the tfp base oh naturally
I don't talk about it a bunch but during Serotonin Syndrome two: electric boogaloo I went on an absolute streak with the tf: a&p au that was very much based on a single valveplug tfa megs x tfp optimus ficlet I saw
I had this one au i wrote a bit about where the matrix got damaged in a boom boom and Oppy had essentially the opposite of the Orion Arc happen— he was in his old frame but has the same memories and personality (ish). I think i called it Optimus Pax
My Liason from Hell bayverse au, from au dungeons!
The one au I made a loooong time ago around the 4/9/21 thing, which was oc x oc with one having an alt based on draco lizards and the other on striped hyenas— i believe both ended up carrying at the same time, it was Ferrous and Carnage? Yeah.
I talk so little about spinocon aus but they have so many storylines like way so many
O ooo oo o i sorta forgot about it but my "Why Earth? Always Earth?" Au that was an animorphs x Transformers au, i never truly followed up on that
Back when i was watching Supernatural oh i naturally made an au based on that that i never wrote down, I think Miko was sooorta like a wereworf but fox based? Yeah it was Sam and Dean meeting the autobots but we can put Castiel and Crowley in there too
Lottttts of ex-DJD plotlines where said character joins the autobots
Oh i had this one idea based on the humans cloning a Cybertronian from CNA samples but i didn't follow up on it
That one au idea i had where Megatron was gonna have a new kid and a few of his previous ones who have never met ever over the vorns finally meet and it's almost a nostalgia sorta au but has the tone of a will reading, like fuck they not only learned of eavh other recently but they're gonna have a sibling? And these kids are soooo different because megs made them during vastly different parts in his life, it was tfp/mtmte continuity mix
I've ran "Starscream meets the rescue bots" storylines beforr
Just way too many work together plotlines based on the quality of mercy series
The blatant isakai au storylines where each human that becomes a Cybertronian died in their respective universes and woke up in the tfp one in Cybertronian frames!

TFA AU: Humanformers
This was actually an AU I’ve thought about for a while, but was hesitant to share because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to explain it well. My writings on my AUs tend to disorganized already, so I wanted to wait to I could properly explain this AU idea before sharing. I think I can explain now, but in case you still don’t understand it, don’t be afraid to ask, and I’ll answer the best I can.
Humanformers
As the title hints, this is an AU where our beloved Autobots are humans.
In this AU, the main Autobots start out as humans, but gain the ability to turn into giant robots thanks to the Allspark.
However, in this AU, the bots they turn into had lives of their own on Cybertron. I wouldn’t really call this a reincarnation thing, more like they main characters were given the ability to transform into Autobots that had died.
I actually got inspiration from Steven Universe, mainly how Steven inherits his mother’s abilities after giving up her physical form for him to be born, but he inherits her problems as well and most of his enemies think he’s his mother when they first encounter him.
So that’s a major theme in this AU, the characters often have to deal with the consequences of their predecessors’ actions.
They’re basically Superheroes in this AU, more than they already are in the show. Meaning, they actually keep their identity a secret from others, with only Sari knowing their identity at first. Maybe Isaac Sumdac and Captain Fanzone later on.
And they basically look like their human forms from Human Error. It was there so might as well use it.
You know how in other TF shows, the main group are experienced and respected heroes? I’m going to use that here. While the crew in this AU basically have the same personalities as the canon, their predecessors’, the bots they turn into, were indeed those experienced and respected warriors. So while Decepticons and Autobots are expecting skilled heroes, what they really get is a bunch of rookies who have no idea what they’re doing or what’s really going on.
Characters
Optimus Prime: Orion Fanzone. That’s right, for this AU, he’ll be son of Captain Fanzone. He is a recent college graduate who just starts working at Sumdac Industries. While Fanzone isn’t too fond of machines, Orion would be pretty okay with them. He, of course, would be the reluctant leader of this team. At first, he would be pleased to be able to help people and be a hero, but he would be the most negatively effected by his predecessor’s past.
Prowl: Pierce Roberts. He’s a park ranger in this AU, which I thinks makes sense, since he loves nature in the show. I imagine him being least effected by his predecessor's past, and would even be sympathetic to what his predecessor went through, and the one who deals with having to deal with his predecessor’s past the best.
Ratchet: Rowen O’Donnell. A doctor, a veteran, and family friend to Captain Fanzone and Orion. He, at first, would want nothing to do with all of this, but would more or less be convinced to do so by Orion. Aside from Pierce, he would be more understanding to his predecessor's past, since, as a veteran himself, he can empathize with what his predecessor went through.
Bulkhead: Benjamin ‘Ben’ Hudson. A college student who is an art major. He would have a love-hate feeling for his new abilities. He would enjoy smashing things and would be pretty fun, but he would hate how much damage his accidently causes. He’ll learn to be more carefully and how to use his new abilities for his art.
Bumblebee: Barry Baker. A high school senior. I wanted to keep him as the youngest, but not too young. He would be the most excited about being able to turn into a giant robot and would, at first, be irresponsible with his new powers, but he would mature over time and learn that he can’t just play around with his power. ‘With Great Power comes Great Responsibility’.
Story
In this AU, during the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons over the Allspark, there was a finally battle between Megatron and Second-in-Command Optimus Prime, Top Medic Ratchet, Master Cyberninja Prowl, Wrecker Bulkhead, and Scout Bumblebee.
However, while the Autobots are victorious, Optimus Prime and his team did not survive, and their ship and the Allspark was lost. Many assumed the team killed Megatron, but Starscream had a hand in Megatron’s demise.
And as we know, Megatron and the ship would fall to Earth, with the ship falling to Lake Erie and Megatron being found by Isaac Sumdac.
The only thing that would remain of the original team would a shard of each of their sparks. And those shards would somehow find a way to the new team, and those shards would allow them to transform.
Eventually, the team would find a way to each other. For now, I imagine them all coming together during that monster attack during part 2 of the first episode “Transform and Roll Out!”
I imagine they had transformed at least once before the events of that episode, but that would be the first time they would’ve done so together. They’re fighting and teamwork would be sloppy and uncoordinated at first, but they would manage to get the job done and save Sari.
Shortly after their victory, the Allspark would call them to it, and wanting answers, the group would follow, with Sari being brought by Barry in secret.
But of course, they wouldn’t really get any answers as the Allspark is a very cryptic item. But it would still give Sari her key, which can still allow her to heal the crew in their robot forms and use it on other machines.
Sari would be the one who suggests they become superheroes. Barry and Ben would be quick to agree, Orion and Pierce would hesitate at first, but eventually agree, and Rowen would be “No, I’m too old for this.” Orion would eventually convince him to join.
So overall, the show would be about them being Superheroes, with only Sari knowing their identity and aiding them in whatever way she can.
But like a lot of superhero stories, it doesn’t take long before their secret lives as heroes start affecting their civilian lives, both in good and bad ways.
And it gets worse when Decepticons come after them, wanting to kill them for reasons the team doesn’t understand and thinking their someone else. Starscream would be the first, wanting to take the Allspark from them and gloating at how he killed Megatron, and they don’t even know what the heck he’s talking about.

A Rescue Bots AU where everything is the same, but at some point, Cody starts to use punk/emo/black clothes not because he feels sad, but because he likes the esthetic and Heatwave likes things with spikes.
And so, on the outside, he looks like a cool punk rocker but when someone talks to him he shows the warmest smile anyone could give!
His dad and family want their little sunshine back!
This would be fun to see!
I can see this happening sometime after season 3 or even season 4. He decides since he’s grown so much since meeting the bots, he wants to try a new look.
I imagine he would go punk/emo style because the style is cool, tough, and maybe to show he may be a nice guy, he isn’t a naive little kid.
At first, everyone would be greatly concerned and are worried something’s wrong with Cody.
But Cody would show that he’s still the sweet, compassionate boy they know and love, he just wants to try a new look.
Heatwave would definitely like the new look, I can even imagine he would aid Cody as he creates his new look.
Chase would disapprove, thinking Cody looks like a hooligan, but since Cody doesn’t engage in any illegal activity, he wouldn’t try to stop Cody.
Blades would not like it at all, thinking the new look is scary and he wants sweet Cody back.
Boulder wouldn’t really understand, but he would be supportive in Cody wanting to try new looks and styles.
Charlie would be concerned, but seeing that Cody is no different personality-wise, he would chalk it up as a phase and allow it.
Kade would think he looks like a punk and might pick on him about going through a goth-phase, but he wouldn’t really disapprove of the new look.
Dani would actually like it, but she would tease him a bit how Cody’s too sweet to really be punk/emo, but she would like the new look.
Graham would definitely be concerned and would question why Cody likes this aesthetic so much, but he wouldn’t really say that he doesn’t like it.
The town would definitely be surprised by Cody’s new look, but Cody would quickly put their worries to rest by proving that while he looks different, he’s still him.

Pokémon Bede's League Cards
Something that I've noticed and but never really paid much attention to (and I've never seen anyone else talk about it), is about Bede's League cards:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These Cards have two different signatures!
That might not be a big deal but on the major league cards, the regular and rare cards have mostly the exact same signature.
There are only three exceptions:
One Card having a signature while the other is blank. (Hop, Marnie, and Piers)
The signature being the same, just in different colors. (Melony, Mustard, and Honey)
Ball Guy only has one card.
Bede's card really stands out because the signature is entirely different. Maybe it's to symbolize he's in a better place, developed into a better person thanks to Opal's influence. He went from an orphan desperately trying to please his 'father figure' Rose, to a Gym Leader under the guidance of someone who actually cares about him and his well-being.
That's just my thought. If anyone else has thoughts on this, please share!
Honestly, this has been on my mind for so long, but this was before I was really invested in Tumblr and by the time I was, the game was out for a while, so I decided not to say anything about it. Until now, that is.

My #1 post of 2022
Pokemon Iono and Klara
When I first saw the new Gym leader, Iono, in the lastest trailers for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the first thing that came to mind was how similar she was to Klara from the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First glance, their designs are pretty similar to me, just different type themes, like Klara is Poison while Iono is Electric.
They both have pink hair with pokemon-themed hair accessories, Klara has a white Dustox bow and Iono has Magnemite hair things.
Those boots they have look rather similar, just, again, different themes.
They both present themselves as cute and bubbly, but there is something about them that indicates that that's not entirely who they are. Klara looks like a bubblegum pop girl, but is vindictive and calculating, and Iono looks cute and energetic, but those sharp teeth indicate that she is a fierce gym leader.
And they both seem to be focused on their popularity and image as well as their skills as gym leaders. Klara was an underground pop singer who decided to become a gym leader to become more popular and mostly wanted people to dote on her before getting serious about her training. And Iono is a streamer and influencer, so popularity must be an important thing for her, if her stream is any indication.
They give me the impression that if ever met, they would act like BFFs in public, but would be heated rivals, both in terms of popularity and skills as gym leaders.

The Masked Decepticon

Chapter 10: Of Two Sparks
"So... You're sayin' that you found this guy in the Arctic?" said Fanzone as he eyed the white shuttle. Skyfire visibly tensed, his large wings pulling close to each other as he stand in the park.
"Uhh... Yeah. He's the one who help stop the weather machine, Officer Fanzone," Optimus explained. The rest of Detroit doesn't know about the whole leader of Decepticons thing going on, and Optimus prefer to keep it that way.
Fanzone rubs the bridge of his nose and sighs, "Fine. Just, make sure he doesn't wreck anything. Having just one big guy is hard enough,"
As Optimus, Skyfire and the rest of Team Prime watches Fanzone drove away, the shuttle looks at the Prime, "So... What do I do now?"
"Well... I guess we help clean the snow," say Optimus. All around them was piles of snow as big as Bulkhead. It hasn't properly melted, so the bots are tasked with cleaning the roads for the time being.
"Alright. Say, can't we ask Star for help-"
Sari quickly hushed the shuttle, "Listen, he can't help. He's supposed to be our enemy,"
Skyfire frowned at the answer, "... I see,"
The shuttle simply turned to push some snow away from the roads, and the rest of the Autobots could only watch the shuttle doing his work in silence.
Ever since Skyfire was freed from the ice, Optimus and his team along with Starscream, Blitzwing and Lugnut told Skyfire what he had missed the last 2 billion years. And unfortunately, it also includes the war. Ever since then, Skyfire was distraught to find out what Starscream had done and gone through.
"I wish we can help him somehow. He looks so sad," say Sari.
"We need to find Megatron. If we can reason with him, then maybe we can try to make a truce between the Autobots and the Decepticons," Optimus explained.
"That is, if he's willing to reason. As much as I know, he is very stubborn," Ratchet grumbled.
"I know... But, I can't help but think that isn't all,"
Bumblebee looks at Optimus and glanced to Ratchet as he pushed some snow away using a makeshift shovel Bulkhead made, "Say, what actually happened to Optimus yesterday? He began talking weird things, like Megatron being a miner and somebot named Megatronus and all that stuff,"
"It was a long time ago. You see, the Council is the real authority in Cybertron, so they control everything, including the history of Cybertron. Megatron was a miner before, and Megatronus was his designation before the Decepticons became violent,"
"Why did the Decepticons became... Bad?" Sari asked.
"A very important mech was killed. As a result, the Decepticons waged war againsts the Autobots. Because of that, it was easy to paint them as the villains of the story,"
"Was that guy this Orion Pax guy?" she then whispered, "I mean, I heard Star talking about him often,"
"Yeah. But I don't know much about him. I've only known him from some of my friends from back then. Apparently, he's an archivist who is also the Autobot textbook example of good. But I'm afraid that's all I knew,"
"Huh, that's odd," say Bulkhead.
Ratchet paused and lower down his shovel, "How so?"
"The academy said that Orion Pax was an archivist who was killed in a Decepticon attack. They said Megatron offlined him,"
"Yeah. They said he was against the Decepticon movement and was offlined," Bumblebee added.
"Like I said, the Council changes even the history of Cybertron if they see the need to. A lot of things had changed from the real events, so no bot even knows who Orion Pax really is," Ratchet looks at Optimus, who is teaching Skyfire how to use a shovel, "It's sad that someone like him is forgotten in such a way,"
Xxx
In an unknown place, Isaac Sumdac is working on reverse engineering the warp gate. He had purposely slowing down his own progress, saying that it was difficult even for a man of science such as him, when in reality he was buying time in hopes the Autobots would find him in time.
He noticed that Megatron had left what looks to be a giant photograph near his cell. The warlord had retired to his berth room for the day, so Sumdac took the chance to have a proper look at it.
The scientist could see what looks to be a young Megatron with eight other Decepticons, according to the insignia they wore. What caught Sumdac's attention was a red and blue Decepticon. His face was covered by a mask. He was wrapping his arm around Megatron's shoulder, seemingly to smile. The warlord was also smiling in the picture.
Sumdac rubbed his eyes and looks at the red and blue robot near Megatron. He looks a lot like Optimus. But then, it might be just a simple coincidence. Maybe their paint colour is like clothes, and the mech just happened to have the same colour as Optimus.
Sumdac decided to clean his tools, knowing that his questions will not be answered. As he did, he began to worry about Sari. He hoped with all his heart that his daughter is alright.
Xxx
Nighttime fell on Detroit. Skyfire walked around the empty streets, careful not to crush anything with his pedes. He still can't get his processor off the fact that a war had occurred while he was in stasis lock, that he had left Ulchtar all by himself, and that his sparkmate had offlined many sparks. And that barely even scratching the surface of what had happened.
The shuttle ended up in an empty parking lot. He sat down and puts his face in his servos. This is too much to take in.
A pair of purple optics watched the shuttle carefully. He stepped out from his hiding spot and towards Skyfire, "Well, what do we have here?"
"Wha- who are you?"
"Calm down, I'm just a mech from Cybertron like you,"
"Oh,"
The mech held out a servo, "The designation is Swindle, nice to meet you,"
"I'm Skyfire,"
"So, what seems to be bothering you, big guy?"
"Nothing... It just... My sparkmate... I've just found out he's on a different faction and our sides are fighting,"
"Oh, so your spark mate's a Decepticon? Tell me, who is it?"
"His name is Ulchtar,"
Swindle rubs his chin as he muttered, "Hmm... Ulchtar, Ulchtar... Nope, never heard of him. Is that a Vosian designation?"
"Yeah. Although, I've heard from Optimus that he was called Starscream now,"
If Swindle was drinking oil, he would immediately spat it out. He shook his helm and looks at Skyfire with wide optics, "Wait, that Starscream!? As in, the second-in-command and the Decepticon's Air Commander!? That Starscream!!?"
"Yeah,"
"And... You've just know,"
"I was trapped in ice for 2 billion years, I've just got out two cycles ago,"
Swindle took a moment to process. Starscream had a Conjunx is probably the most shocking thing Swindle had heard in his entire lifetime. And he had lived for a very long time.
Then, an idea struck to him. A business idea.
The bot smiled and looks at Skyfire, "You know, you wanna hang out at my place? I got some Energon fit for flight frames,"
"It's alright. I have to go home now,"
Not wanting to let go of an opportunity to make big cash, Swindle shoots the shuttle with an electric shock. Skyfire screams in pain as he fell to his knees, he looks at Swindle who shoots again. The shuttle fell unconscious, and Swindle smiled, "No hard feelings, but business is business,"
Xxx
Starscream looks outside from his hideout in the mines. Something is wrong.
Xxx
The sun haven't rise the next morning, but Optimus could hear the sounds of Starscream's turbines outside. Due to their frequent visits, he had memorized the sounds of the Decepticon's engines.
He opened the garage doors and saw Starscream standing anxiously, "Starscream? What are you doing here, its still so early in the morning?"
"Is Skyfire here?"
"... No. Actually, he hadn't returned home last night,"
"I'm going to search for him. Can you help?"
"Sure," Optimus switches into his Decepticon form and transforms, "Let's go,"
Xxx
Skyfire groaned as he woke up. He recalled the events of last night, and his optics snapped wide open. He was locked in an energy cage, and saw Swindle in front of him, "You!"
"Yes, me,"
"What are you doing!? Let me go!"
"Calm down. I'm using you as bait. I'll let you go once I get what I want,"
"What do you mean bait?"
"Isn't it obvious? Lord Megatron wants his second-in-command back,"
If Skyfire had skin, it would have turned paper white. He can't let Megatron get his servos on Ulchtar. Who knows what he'll do to him.
'Ulchtar... Please, don't come...!' Skyfire desperately hoped.
Xxx
"I've searched the whole city, he's nowhere to be found!" Starscream yelled through the comm. Convoy winced at the volume, "Calm down. I think I got a lead. There's huge ped marks at the parking lot, and I'm following the tire tracks. I'll tell you the location when I get there,"
Convoy follows the tracks which lead into a more secluded location in Detroit. He sneaks into a warehouse and saw Swindle, 'I should've known...' he thought.
As he was about to enter, he heard the sound of a helicopter's blades spinning. Convoy looks around for a way to hide and pulls over a ragged cloth as he transforms into his alt mode. He turned on his audials to the max, listening.
Swindle looks the as the grey helicopter transforms into the Decepticon warlord himself, Megatron.
"Finally, you're here,"
Megatron glared at Swindle and looks at Skyfire in the cell, "You promised me Starscream. Not an Autobot shuttle,"
"Relax, boss. He's just bait. I'm sure the Seeker will come and save his sparkmate,"
"... I see,"
"Slag...! Starscream, don't come, it's a trap!" Convoy yells into the comm. Unfortunately, he briefly forgot that Megatron and Swindle were still there, "Who's there!? Show yourself!"
Convoy mentally covers his mouth as he realised he had yelled it out loud.
Megatron steps out of the warehouse, and shoots at a stack of crates, threatening the eavesdropper to come out, "Come on out and fight me head on,"
"Very well then," Convoy throws off the cloth and unsheaths his sword, "I will fight you, just as you ask,"
As Megatron turns to look at his opponent, his optics widened. Standing in front of him was a mech with sleek black paint job. Navy blue lines and red metal decorates his chassis giving some colour from the monochromatic pallete he had. Despite the mech's face was covered by a battle mask, his red optics are glaring straight into his spark.
It was just a split second, but the way the cape was thrown off and the way his opponent held his blade, Megatronus swore he saw Orion standing in front of him.
He was snapped from his thoughts when the mech lunged forward, their blades clashing against each other. Up close, Megatron could see the Decepticon insignia painted on the mech's left shoulder, "You're a Decepticon...!
Xxx
Starscream peered down from the building he landed on. He could see Convoy fighting Megatron, and a scan on the warehouse resulted in Skyfire and Swindle's spark being in there. The Seeker flew behind the warehouse, careful not to make much noise, which was surprisingly easy due to the clashing of swords outside.
As Starscream was about to open the back door, it skids open and he saw Skyfire in a cell with Swindle behind trying to escape.
"Uh... Hi?"
Starscream wordlessly aimed his nullray at the conmech.
Xxx
"So, tell me your designation,"
Convoy stared at Megatron before answering, "Why should I?"
"Manners, of course,"
"You're the one who should introduce yourself to me,"
Megatron grits his dentae, "Do not take me lightly. You do realise I am the leader of the Decepticon itself, do you?"
Convoy closes his optic and puts a hand under his chin. He tilted his helm in mock curiosity, "Really? Last time I checked, whoever defeats the previous leader became the new leader. You got defeated by a small Autobot," he opened an optic and looks at Megatron, "And I defeated him. Which makes me the leader, right?"
The warlord stood in silence before chuckling, "You think you can fool me so easily? Where are your proof?
"My second-in-command is all the proof you need," he glanced to the warehouse, where Starscream stepped out, Skyfire following behind.
"It's true. He is the leader. If you don't believe me, ask Strika and Lugnut about it,"
Megatron's face turned into one of pure shock, "How!? How did you get Starscream of all mech on your side?"
"He asked for help searching for his missing Conjunx, and I helped. Now if you'll let us. I want to go back to base and recharge. I stayed up till late night," said Convoy.
He stopped and turned to Megatron, "Oh, and my designation is Dark Convoy. Don't forget that, Lord Megatron,"
With that, he transforms into his altmode and drove off. Starscream and Skyfire also took off, leaving Megatron alone.
Swindle, who was watching everything from the back was confused. The Decepticons have a new leader?
Xxx
"Where the scrap did you go? I was about to make a search party just now!" Ratchet lectured Optimus. The Prime just smiled awkwardly, "Starscream came this morning and said Sky was kidnapped. So I was helping him search. Turns out Swindle kidnapped him to use as bait to catch Starscream for Megatron,"
"I see. Still, I'm glad you didn't meet Megatron in your Decepticon alter ego, right?"
Optimus, Starscream and Skyfire looks at each other awkwardly.
"Are you kidding me!!?"
Xxx
Back at Megatron's hideout, he was sitting in his throne, staring into space. Dark Convoy. He's a curious mech indeed. He'll need to observe this mysterious new leader more.

Ok so Bluescreen!Optimus in my head would be so bright. Like, of course he would be upset without knowing who he was and the team wouldn't be able to help much since they don't really know him nor are they able to get a hold of Cybertron cause of reasons? Not sure what the issue was but yeah.
But like, without his past and all those uptight lessons at the Academy, etc, etc, this is a chance for Optimus' innocence and deep down personality to come out.
So basically, Orion Pax.
Like some bits of G1 and Prime of course. Like, Optimus would have this innocence about him, like trusting people and mechs he most likely shouldn't. Of course, his team comes first but that people pleaser part of his original personality does pop up. Not like a duty, but more like he just doesn't like people upset with him and tries his best to help everyone and make sure they all get what they want.
Also, he more willing to put himself out there. He isn't all about rules and codes, but more like having some proper fun without causing any trouble. No real law breaking but he fine with any crazy outing Sari or Bee would suggest. Going out to the park with Prowl, totally gets Bulkhead's need to paint as well.
Also, thirst to know about people and things. Like the rest of his team, Optimus loves Earth and its' people. He tends to learn about their history, this society and culture. While he also wants to learn of who he is and Cybertron, here is a whole new organic world that never knew of life beyond itself. Wants to take it all in.
Spends time with Professor Sumdac to learn about his business, asking Fanzone about his job and trying to stay out of his way but be friendly. Just trying to make friends and learn about their new home.
He love the Dino Park. The whole idea of these animals were once the dominated lifeforms of their planet and how there are animals alive that are related them is so fascinating.
Ok, writing this out, its like Orion and Rescue Bots Boulder and Blades in there as well...

Birth And Name
You carry the one and only Ultra Magnus' sparklings.
It hurt, it really did hurt to see your loved one in Spark Support. You sat on your seat next to your beloved Ultra Magnus, holding his only intact arm, seeing that his whole left arm was missing. You knew Magnus wouldn't go down without a fight so how come there wasn't any proof of his opponent? You knew better, this was an assassination from Decepticons.
"Hey, Ultra noob..." You gently said, hoping that he could hear you through the coma he had fallen into. You used to call him Ultra noob ages ago back in your training days and he hated that name. Maybe calling him with it would bring him back to light. You smiled sadly and took his intact hand and placed it against your sizeable abdomen.
"Can you feel them? Your little sparklings are taking all the space in my tank." You grinned wider, imagining his face if he knew that you were carrying two protoforms in your tank. Not one, but two! He would no doubt be a proud sire.
You checked your internal clock and saw you were running late. You put your lover's hand back to his side and got up to leave, but not without leaving a kiss to your Magnus' cheek. "I'll be right back my love."
You couldn't drive well in your situation so it took you a moment, but you made it into Autobot Council. Everyone turned to look at you and you cursed your luck. They had already started the meeting.
The members like Botanica of the council made way for you in honor and you nodded at her, thanking her silently for letting you take the seat that wouldn't put any more strain on your spinal strut.
You weren't an official member of the council, but in this dark time with Ultra Magnus in a coma, you were given honorary membership in his place. As you took your seat, everyone turned their attention back to the problem at hand. Sentinel Prime.
"I'm telling you old coots, I'm just taking my rightful place as Magnus! I'm his rightful successor!" The blue bot with a huge chin shouted. You grimaced and Alpha Trion copied you. "You have no right in my mind to take over Ultra Magnus' place as Magnus."
"You wouldn't know, you haven't fought against these Decepticons who did this to Magnus in million years! You have grown weak Alpha Trion!"
"If I may say, you haven't exactly been fighting against the Cons either, Sentinel." You jabbed and you took huge pleasure seeing the mech ground his denta in your direction. "What I heard, you were frozen in fear when you first time met a Decepticon!"
Sentinel was mad and with a good reason, but then he grinned and you felt like something bad was about to happen.
"Senators, all due respect I believe carrying has clouded their ability to make such major decisions." He said smugly and you saw red in fury.
"How dare you, Sentinel Prime!?" You screeched, jumping up from your seat and slamming your hands against the table. "My Magnus would never stand so low as you!"
"And what do we really know about them? They just disappeared millions of years ago and suddenly appear on this planet called Earth, where Decepticons had made their headquarters!"
"Decepticons that you overlooked and failed to inform to our Magnus!" You couldn't stop yourself, you were pissed beyond saving. "You know Sentinel, I'm actually happy that the Hammer was stolen because as long as my spark still shines I would never give Magnus Hammer in your incapable hands!"
"See what I mean!? They can't be trusted!"
"You little...!" You growled, but the damage was done. The members of the Council were whispering and talking to each other through commlinks and you weren't included in these conversations. The Alpha Orion turned to look at you apologetically. "I am sorry to inform you, but we must ask you to leave this decision to Autobot High Council."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. They were actually believing the lies Sentinel was spouting? You were about to start a whole new war, but you felt pain shot in your abdomen. You cried out and doubled over, falling on the ground in pain as you held your abdomen.
The protoforms...! They were early!
Alpha Orion jumped up and immediately ordered you to be taken to medbay and while Sentinel screamed how you were faking it, you were taken to a safe space where your little litter was delivered. You were ordered to bedrest but you wouldn't let them take your little miracles away from you. You let Red Alert check them, but that was it, you wouldn't hand them over to anyone.
The gray little things were smaller than would have been ideal, but it didn't matter to you if they were small for their own good. They were your and your Ultra Magnus' little cuties.
But with you bedridden, you could do nothing to prevent Sentinel from becoming the next Magnus. You had to focus on keeping your sparklings safe. Sentinel would no doubt try to get revenge on you for talking against you and you feared he would try to take away your little sparklings.
Time went by and you nursed your little ones and they were soon taking their own form. They were warm against you as you watched days for them to grow. The older one took on a gray coating and the younger twin turned green and white. What was odd were their optics. They were crimson. You wondered where that coding came from, but you loved your sparklings from the bottom of your spark.
When you heard that Longarm Prime had tried to kill your Conjunx Ultra Magnus, you gave twins to the nurse and rushed to the scene where doctors were hassling over your lover and guards were looking for any evidence of the traitor. You were panting when you got to the scene and you wanted nothing more than to run over Ultra Magnus and hold him close, but security wouldn't let you.
"Give them the space they need to work." Came a scruffy voice and you turned to see an old ambulance standing on the side, much like you. You looked at the bot up and down and you thought he looked familiar. "Excuse me, but who are you?"
"Name's Ratchet. I'm a part of Optimus Prime's group back in Earth."
"Wait...!" You looked at the old mech from up to down. "You're that Ratchet! You're a war hero!"
"Haven't been hero, never was." He grunted and turned to look at the Ultra Magnus, "I chased off Shockwave who was here to kill Ultra Magnus. He shouldn't try that again."
"Chivalrous Ratchet, you have saved my Conjunx's life." You smiled and bowed lightly like you older warriors tended to do to one another.
"You show braveness and honor." You said before you grimaced, "Unlike that backstabbing Sentinel...!"
"Speaking of him..." Ratchet grumbled and hoisted up the Magnus Hammer and offered it to you. "I believe this should belong to you. As Ultra Magnus' Conjunx Endura."
"Magnus Hammer...!" You awed as you gracefully took the hammer offered to you. "But how...?"
"Shockwave had it. I believe that he is also responsible for what happened to Ultra Magnus."
"That sleazy piece of...!" You cursed under your breath and closed your eyes. You wanted to hunt him down and make him pay like you used to do in your younger days back in the war, but you were a carrier now and you had two lovely sparklings waiting for you to return back to them.
"I must stop Sentinel from getting the hammer." You said and pushed the hammer cab into the medic's hands. "Take it with you back to Earth! I will not let that backstabbing Sentinel get it."
"Will do," Ratchet promised, but you couldn't let him return to Earth just yet. You placed your hand over his shoulder plate and smiled. "Please, before you go, I must as you to join me in medbay."
"Gotta be quick. Sentinel is coming back soon."
"Can we be quick because I want to go back to Earth as soon as possible!?" Came an angry man's voice and you blinked in surprise. You looked around but saw no bot around.
"What in the name off-?"
"Down here."
You looked down and you couldn't believe what your old optics were seeing. A human? On Cybertron? You blinked and looked at Ratchet for answers. He grunted. "Captain Fanzone got sucked here and I came to rescue him. He helped to chase off Shockwave."
"Really?" You had trouble understanding what you were hearing. You spent a good while back in Earth, but you never heard a human saving an Autobot. But if it was true then this human was a hero as well. You smiled to little big human and picked him up, much to his dismay.
"Hey, watch it!"
"Captain Fanzone was it? You helped to save my Conjunx' life. I would appreciate it if you joined Ratchet and me in medbay before you leave."
"Alright, but make it quick. I can't stand machines and I have certainly had my fill today."
"I can understand that." You smiled and lead the medic and human to medbay where your little twins were resting in their separated beds. Ratchet's and Captain's optics and eyes widened and the human let out a word that sounded much like a curse.
You smiled and motioned towards the babies. "You two saved my Conjunx's life. It would be an honor for me if you would name our sparklings."
"God. They come as babies now also?" Captain asked and you gave a short laugh. This human was funny. Ratchet took a long look at the green and grey sparklings and pointed at the grey one. "Dominus. A strong name for the son of Ultra Magnus."
"Dominus..." You tried the name and smiled. "I love it. Will you name the younger one sir Fanzone?"
"Well, it sure isn't the smallest machine... But it is the smallest alien machine I've seen..." The man rubbed his chin and looked at you, "How about Minimus?"
"That's...  A fitting name." You smiled and leaned over to wiggle your servos at the newborn. "Hi Dominus! Greetings Minimus! Your carrier and sire love you so much...!"
Your spark skipped in joy when you saw your boys open their optics and look at you. You smiled and kissed them both. You had a feeling things would get better from there.

I like the one where Sari is involved with the humanformers. Does she know anyone else besides the Automen?
Well in that AU, Sari is basically raised by Optimus, since Issac Sumdac had no time to look after her, sad as it sounds, since he was so busy. So he turned to Fanzone and the crew. Optimus or Orion, decided to be the one to look after her. Turns out, Sari and Orion bonded very well and became very much like a real family.
In this AU, we focus when Sari is growing up, she’s about 5 years old and meets the Automen who are basically like, the Avengers. She loves them all.

How does Sentinel feel about Orion/Optimus when he first meets him?
Explored this a bit in this post. Check it out when you can.
When he first learns of a bot that looks like Optimus on Earth, he is at first conflicted. While he's mad at Optimus after everything that's happened between them, he's also hopeful that maybe they can reconcile and be friends again.
But when he learns that no, it's just an organic using his powers, Sentinel is disappointed, horrified that an organic has Optimus' spark, and grieves at the loss of his friend, because as angry as he is, he did genuinely care for Optimus and now he's feels like he's lost both of his closest friends.
When they meet, Sentinel is his usual mean self to Orion and the rest of the new team.
But overtime, as much as he hates to admit it, he actually starts to like Orion, since not just because he can turn into Optimus, but because Orion reminds him of the Optimus he knew before their falling out. And there are moments where he accidently calls Orion 'Optimus', even when he's a human.
Orion doesn't like Sentinel and sees him as a jerk, but similar with Blackarachnia, Orion puts up with Sentinel's attitude, since he believes Sentinel has a right, at least to a degree, to be angry at Optimus, and like Blackarachnia, he can tell Sentinel misses Optimus more than he cares to admit.
But despite missing his former friend, Sentinel still acknowledges what Optimus hurt him and he is quick to tell Orion that Optimus isn't as heroic as others paint him to be, something Orion is fully aware of, and the two would weirdly bond over that.
Interestingly, Sentinel is able to help Orion realize that he doesn't need to take responsibility for what Optimus did, that while he may be cleaning up the mess, he isn't the one that created it and shouldn't have to carry the guilt.
While I never see the two becoming friends, Sentinel never truly hates Orion as much he would want you to believe.
Sorry if this is disorganized and hard to understand. Feel free to ask more if you don't understand.

In your humanformers TFA AU, has there ever been some traumatic event that has left the characters with scars both mental and physical?
Definitely the bots. War can do that, and they couldn't (and even felt they shouldn't) get help for their issues.
Optimus Prime: While the Great War was a traumatizing time for many bots, what scars Optimus is what he had done during the war. He made sacrifices and did things he's not proud of during the War, including to become second-in-command. The loss of Elita was especially traumatizing and losing his friendship with Sentinel would be hard on him to. To cope, he would adopt the idea that these were necessary sacrifices for the greater good.
Ratchet: Not being able to help Arcee and his encounter with Lockdown would be very traumatic for him. This is actually one of the reasons why Ratchet prefers to bury himself in his work, so he can try to distract himself from remembering this. It doesn't work, but he still tries.
Bumblebee: As mentioned, he's pretty young, basically a child, so the war itself was traumatic for him. But no one knew the real affect it had on him, as he presented himself as a strong and stoic warrior to maintain respect from his peers, believing that he's weak if he allows his moments to affect him.
Prowl: Not sure if this is really traumatic, but the death of Yoketron left a major mark on him. Yoketron was the first person to be so kind to him, and he feels he owes everything to Yoketron. And to lose the one person you believed cared about you would have an effect on anyone. Since then, his only goal, even after joining the Autobot Army, is to find the bot that killed his master and get his revenge.
Bulkhead: His time within the wreckers would have a share of traumatic moments. As some of the best warriors the Autobots, he's done his fair share of doing things he's not proud of to protect his image, and the violence he committed, endured, and witnessed has scarred him in more ways than one. Like the others, to protect his image, he continues doing these things and doesn't go seek help for his problems, which in way, encourages his reputation.
As for the humans, I'm not sure if traumatic is the word, but they've had their own experiences that really left a mark on them, some during their time as heroes, and others from before.
Orion: Since coming across the spark fragment of Optimus Prime, there have been a lot of tough experiences. Bots trying to kill him and his friends and bots mad at him, thinking he's someone else, and of course, making sure no one knows his secret life, especially his father.
Rowen: I mentioned that he's a veteran, so he's served as a medic for the army. So, he's already seen his share of things that would traumatize a person, and as a doctor, he's had tough times there, especially regarding a patient. So, there are moments when hero work could trigger a traumatic memory.
Barry: His encounter with Wasp would be pretty close to traumatic for him, since there's a crazy bot that wants to kill him, believing he's someone else. And Barry is still technically a kid, so to have a giant robot who is so intent on killing him specifically is a source of nightmares for this guy.
Pierce: Imagine after working with Lockdown and seeing how aggressive and careless he was starting to become would have an effect on him. It would motivate him to watch himself more.
Ben: Growing up, I imagine he's been bullied a lot and people judge him before they get to know him, which has left a mark on him and his confidence at times. And, if I keep what happens in Headmaster in this AU, losing his body as a robot would be traumatic for the poor guy.
And unlike their predecessors, they are able to find help and they help each other go through their tough moments.

Humanformers Characters
I mentioned in the first Humanformers post that the humans’ cybertrionian forms had their own lives before their abilities were transferred to the new team. So I thought it would be fun to share more about their character and their backgrounds in this AU. If the original team are nothing like they are in the show, that’s the point, those personalities go to the new team.
TFA AU Humanformers
Humanformers Characters 2
The Original Team
Optimus Prime: He was Second-In-Command of the Autobot army and a close confidant of Ultra Magnus himself. He was regarded as a great leader and many thought he would be come the next magnus. He was seen as stoic, brave, wise, and always knew what to do. But you don’t get to a position as high as him without having to make a few sacrifices, but he would try not to dwell on those sacrifices for too long, because it was all for the greater good as the needs of many outweigh the needs of a few, and besides, what’s done and is done, he can’t go back, even if he wants to. He wouldn’t share these feelings with anyone, not even Ultra Magnus.
Ratchet: Considered the best medic in the Autobot army, Ratchet was also a close friend to Ultra Magnus. Despite his gruff exterior,  he was seen as the best of the best, there was no injury he couldn’t fix, and he had been able to pass his skills and knowledge down to others, such Red Alert. But in a way, he was placed on a pedestal, so when there were patients that he couldn’t help, it hit him hard. And physically, he could fix people, but psychological/mental/emotional was another story. And he wasn’t good at taking care of himself, emotionally, so he would often pour himself into his work to distract himself.
Prowl: A talented Cyberninja, trained by the best, Yoketron himself. He is seen as the kind of Cyberninja all others should aspire to be. He was a master of stealth, a skilled fighter, and something of a spy master. But despite his great skill, he isn’t without his own secrets. He technically didn’t finish his training because his master died before he could master Processor Over Matter, and his reasons of joining the War are not as noble as others think. He primarily joined to find the bot that killed Yoketron and get his revenge. Naturally, he wouldn’t tell anyone this and while he would serve the the Autobots army loyally, his number one concern is killing the bot that killed his master.
Bulkhead: He was a fierce wrecker, admired by Autobots for his strength and even feared by both Decepticons and Autobots. He is one of the toughest wreckers the Autobots have known and is said to be proud of his strength and have a fierce temper, wanting to hit first and ask questions later. But the truth is he was much smarter and softer than others thought he was. He was knowledgeable on space bridges and didn’t really have such a bad temper, in fact, he was quite sensitive. But in a time of War, being soft would be seen as weak, and no one would ever believe he was anything more than a dumb brute, so at that point, he let others think whatever they thought, he didn’t bother trying to convince them otherwise, no matter how much he hated it.
Bumblebee: Although he was just a scout at the time, he was still someone to be respected. He managed to climb ranks very quickly despite his young age. He was a bot of few words, but took his job seriously and was ready to fight with his speed and agility. But he was still young, almost a child, so having to fight in a war at a young age can take a toll on you. So despite the praise and respect he would get from fellow soldiers and superiors, it wasn’t enough to help him handle all the horrific things the War makes him see, but keeps these feelings to himself so he doesn’t seem like a scared child and lose respect he worked hard to earn.
The New Crew
Orion Fanzone: The only son and child of Captain Fanzone, Orion is something of a boyscout. He’s polite, smart, and with a good sense of right and wrong. Though he would be insecure and a bit shy, and being the Captain son may have part in this. Growing up he was either pressured to follow his father’s footsteps or teased for being a cop’s kid, with jerks thinking that he didn’t need to have any actual skill, his dad would help him get whatever job he wants. While he did want to join law enforcement, he ultimately decides not to because he fears the bullying could true, that being the captain’s son would risk special treatment and he wouldn’t actually have the skills needed. He never tells his father these fears and simply goes study engineering at college, thinking it was a safe enough job where he could help others.. Despite his insecurities, he has genuine potential to be a great leader and hero, and becoming a giant robot will help him realize that, even with some hiccups along the way.
Rowen O’Donnell: He’s a veteran medic and a doctor for the local hospital, though at this point, he’s more of a medical consultant, but hasn’t lost his skill. And as mentioned, he’s a family friend to the Fanzones, having known Orion since he was a kid, as he was their family doctor. He’s grumpy old man and very serious, but he cares deeply for his loved ones, knows the importance of making sure your health, physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a robot, he does the least amount of fighting, but as he served in the military, he would provide fighting tips to his teammates and is willing to lend and ear if any of them need someone to talk to and encourages them speak about what’s bothering them, knowing firsthand keeping it to yourself isn’t good.
Pierce Roberts: A lone park ranger, he’s a man who takes his job very seriously and does it well. He is, of course, a loner preferring the company of animals and plants over the company of humans. He chose to become a park ranger to preserve what little nature was left in Detroit, and to keep it from be destroyed by more machines. He would actually share Fanzone’s resentment towards machines. When he isn't doing superhero stuff, he would actually use his new powers to protect as much of nature as he can, and yes, he is aware of the irony of the situation. After hanging out with the rest of the crew, he would learn to tolerate other people better. He may be stoic and even grumpy, but get close to him, and his a compassionate and loyal friend.
Benjamin ‘Ben’ Hudson: He is a college freshman who is majoring in art. He may come off as a big brute, but he is much softer and smarter than people give him credit for, and he makes sure others know it too. He’s sweet, sensitive, and harbors an artistic soul. Despite not liking people’s first impression of him, he tries not to let it bother him too much, as long he knows and people close to him know who really is. As a robot, he would be frustrated at the accidental destruction he causes and hates that he’s basically being the dumb brute people think he is. But with the help of his friends, he would get better at managing his strength and would find constructive and creative uses of his abilities, primarily for his art.
Barry Baker: The youngest of his team, Barry is only a high school senior by the time he joins the team. So he is rather childish, impulsive, reckless, and immature. But he’s also brave, a good friend, knows how to stay positive and hopeful even in bad situations, and really does want to do what’s right, which is a big reason why he chose to become a hero. He would honestly be the only one to really like his new powers and would find many ways to use and abuse his new abilities, which naturally get him into trouble. But he’ll learn to stop treating the situation like its a game and take things more seriously, while not losing his sense of excitement and fun.
Others
Megatron: Still the Leader of the Decepticons and would be the first Cybertronian to know that the New Crew isn’t the same team he fought years ago, so he wouldn't consider them a threat at first. After his revival, he would often taunt the new crew at how they are nothing compared to their predecessors and Megatron, knowing their identities, would threaten to go after their loved ones and even threaten to expose their identities to the world. He is much more manipulative and sadistic to the Crew. But as they continue to foil his plans, he kind of snaps, begins to think that they truly are the bots he fought all those years ago, somehow managed to come back just to infuriate him.
Sari: The first human to learn the identity of the new superhero group and would be their ally and friend. She actually would’ve been the one who suggests they become superheroes, and tries to be part of the action, even when they want her to stay away and safe. She would pretty much be the same as she was in the show. When she’s forced out of her home after her Dad goes missing, she’s temporarily adopted by Orion, and while there would difficulty adjusting, they would manage. She would see Orion as a second dad, Rowen and even Captain Fanzone as grandpas, Pierce as an uncle-figure, and Ben and Barry as older brothers.
Prof. Sumdac: When he first sees the team, remembering how he found the body of Megatron years ago. he would admittedly think their aliens, which isn’t entirely wrong, but to keep their secrets, the new team wouldn’t correct him. He knows Sari likes them, and has seen her with them, he doesn’t the full extent of her relationship with them. When Megatron awakens, he assumes he’s friends with the others and asks questions. Megatron knows this an manipulates Profs. Sumdac to makes things more difficult for the new team, such as telling false things about them to the Professor and watch as they struggle to maintain their cover. When he learns the truth, he’s horrified at what he’s done and only learns who the new heroes really are afterward.
Captain Fanzone: The Captain of the Police Department and the father of Orion. He would still be annoyed with machines and he would not be fond of the new robot heroes at first. He would very much love his son, but wishes he would be more confident. He may be a tough parent, but he would only be like that because he knows Orion is capable of more. He would always be ready to give his son advice and support whenever he needs it and the two have a pretty good relationship. When Orion starts keeping secrets from him, he can’t resist sneaking around to figure out what’s going on with his kid. When he finally does, he is furious, that not only his son is one of those giant robots, but that Orion has been endangering himself time and after time and didn’t even tell him, his own father. He would at first, be against it, but eventually begrudgingly accepts it.
This isn’t all the characters in this AU or in the whole TFA universe, just the key characters of this AU. I plan to make a post about the Elite Guard and more of the Decepticons in the future. Maybe a few other characters as well, but I’m not entirely sure.

On your Humanformers AU, what is the most impossible task they have tried to do (it can be a challenge or just a normal work task)
Orion: Keeping secrets from his dad, Captain Fanzone. Not just his alter-ego, but secrets in general. It's not that he's bad at keeping secrets, just bad at keeping it from people close to him because he feels bad at keeping secrets from them. So not telling his Dad about his alter-ego was tough for him.
Rowen: Not letting Ratchet's memories trigger his own memories of his time as a soldier. Whenever Rowen looks into Ratchet's memories, it always reminds him of his own time in the military, and it sometimes might trigger some PTSD. He doesn't want to look through most of these memories, but he needs to do learn how to use Ratchet's power.
Ben: Being careful in his Cybertronian form. In that form, he's a big lug and for a long time, he struggles with his own strength and trying to find balance in that form, so for a while, he's very clumsy. Even after getting used to that form, he's still pretty clumsy.
Pierce: Allowing any living being to die, not matter how bad they are. When he heard of the possibility of the Dinobots being melted down, he couldn't let that happen, especially since something was telling him that these bots were living, that they were something similar to the bots the team can transform to. So, with Ben's help, he gets the Dinobots to the Island where they'll be safe.
Barry: Giving up to the ability to become Bumblebee. After meeting the Elite Guard, they are presented with the possibility of giving up the sparks to the Elite Guard. Barry can't do that, he knows that probably the right thing to do, but he can't hand over the spark, not only because of the power, but he feels his life has been better since obtaining Bumblebee's spark fragment, and he can't/doesn't give that up.
Sorry for taking so long with this. I don't know why it took as long as it did. And sorry if this isn't what you were looking for, this was pretty tough for me to do for a bit.

Note
For your humanformers au, how would they react to their Alt modes?
I imagine this would happen they've gotten used to their robor forms, or at least have transformed a few times before going vehicle.
I also imagine Barry(Bumblebee) would be the first to do so in an attempt to go faster. And when he does he will not hesitate to show the team and talk about how cool it is.
Orion(Optimus) and Rowen(Ratchet) would hesitate to try it, but Ben(Bulkhead) and Pierce(Prowl) would be more willing to give it a try.
Rowen would be 'eh' while the others are impressed and would be willing to do it again.
