What do you think of the Orcust archetype?

I like its general aesthetic and vibes, but I don't think its gameplay loop has ever fully struck a chord with me.

In terms of what her decks would be in YGO verse after her revelations and tribulations, "N/A" would mostly stick to powerful meta decks new and old like Fiendsmith Yubel, Tenpai, Azamina Snake-Eyes, Spright, etc. While Kerri leaned more on casual decks most of the time, she'd rather not take risks anymore when dealing with any potential enemies.

The best defense is an overtuned and overbearing offense in Duel Monsters, after all.

so you use the melffies to gain a lot of advantage then to fusion summon with chimera fusion(sense it is a quick play) on your opponent's turn either berfomet to foolish any beast, fiend or illusion card(here are heiress to search eccentrick to pop a spell next turn. and nightmare magician to special them, or one of the illusion monsters for a negate) or summon out chimera for interruption and draw power

mainwhile you are probably also summoning the mellfy synchro, bouncing one for even more interruption, and tagging it out for mommy also bujin and the entities are there because....

Time to combine my Yugioh and Honkai Star Rail hyperfixations. Sunday and Orcusts fit a little too well.

The Past, Present, and Eternal Show have the same spindly mechanical build of a lot of Orcust monsters. The Future boss especially shares the instrumental components that Orcust monsters have.

The Harmonius Choir and Orcustrion have the same grandiose presence

Also, the lore surrounding Orcusts is that they are a byproduct of a guy trying to resurrect his sister and the lengths Sunday went to was to obtain the dream he and his sister shared.

we've seen cards like the mulcharmy in concept and design before as new releases meant to potentially creep older cards out of the meta by using their old gimmick in a new way (raigeki -> lightning storm is a p easy example of this) but a lot of the time they don't actually make the old cards disappear unless its from a more game warping circumstance (links introducing knightmares and giving all decks an easy removal tool at 2/3 mats so MST and other pals Mostly disappeared. and even then they do see use)

you're 100% right in them testing the grounds here bc The Roach is top 5 in most divisive ygo cards ever and I can get wanting to make a Sort Of limited version of it available (i am of the controversial opinion that a card like maxx c is kind of necessary in the combo spam ages of today) BUUUUT in the case where maxx c avoids the ban hammer then konami have wrought a storm of bugs and jellyfish.

we are absolutely getting the last 3 types though they might have radically different effects since the first 3 we have already cover all potential places to summon from unless they do some truly buckwild shit like "your opponents GY/Banishment" but i dont see that happening itd be too absurd even for modern yugioh

I've thought a bit about Kaede’s deck, and there's certainly a lot of ideas to go with. Staying with the music theming, something like Melodious or Solfachord seem like a fit buuuuuut, I feel like her deck of choice would be Orcust. Why? Well, while she is very peppy and happy, her character never really was all sunshine and rainbows. She's more than willing to do bad for a good cause and is a more morally gray character than the fandom often depicts. I feel like Orcust matches her intensity and complex morals while still remaining with the music theme. Plus, since Orcust plays heavily out of the graveyard, she has a lot in common with what I think Shuichi's deck would be.

Now for the lewd stuff:

She'd be a very popular Ra Yellow, and oftentimes helping the new Slifer Red’s “adjust” to the climate of Duel Academy (which basically means she steals the v-card of nearly every newbie on campus).

She isn't half bad a duelist, and can even hold her own against some Obelisk Blues. Yet she does end up losing more often than not, and ends up paying some hefty prices~

For example, on time she was forced to work as a waitress for an Obelisk Blue party, serving drinks and giving other, more lewd services to her upperclassmen

Despite that she still can't seem to stop doing punishment duels. Her goal is to beat Shuichi in one, so she can really let loose on him

After graduation, she plans on become a teacher to educate the next generation of duelists (which of course, means to fuck all of her students and create her own super perverted sex life.) Go Kaede!
