Okay. I’m here again but not in anonymous.
May I request Ramey cuddling the reader after a long tired day at school/work? Its been years since I requested something so it’s a bit nerve wracking
OC : MorningStar court :-
. Raemous X Reader
▨ Summary: Raemous is one energetic himbo demon and he knows just what a school-hating, burnt out S/O needs from him, SOME SNAPPING PEAS WITH AURORA SAUCE!!! ♡
▨ Crack, comforting, fluff, scenario || Established relationship || warnings:
▨ Author's note: This was one of the sweetest requests I've written, hopefully you'll enjoy this and thank you for requesting this and Hopefully you'll get confident in requesting Achy! Also this thing happened to me in school one day...
▨ Vocablury:
➸ Aurora sauce: a sauce made with spicy chili flakes, mayonnaise, oregano pepper, a bit of cheese sauce and a few other spices...
Tumblr media
Peas in a pod
Tumblr media
Raemous was in the Xiokor's music room as he was cleaning his drums and guitar while shimming to a song, before the music changed and he started to dramatically cry...Scrubbing the guitar's back like the guitar did something to Ramey as he sang embarrassingly high pitched and out of tune, "TELL ME WHY-"
"Ain't nothing but a heartache~" the lyric was completed by you as you walked in, "Hey babe!!!" Ramey said as he run and hugged you tightly as you dropping your bag and sitting near Raemous who turned off his music and put his arm around you, you sat near him as he shifted closer taking out a box of snapping peas and aurora sauce and he rambled at how some people have the absolute audacity to say he was a 7, when he's been constantly been told by you that he's a SOLID 10 all while he fed you snapping peas. You nodded you head and sighed deeply making Raemous stop,
"AND THEN HE-...Hey babe, you okay? What happened?" He asked worried as he took one snapping pea, dipped it in the aurora sauce and fed one to you and held his hand out for you to spit out the disgusting parts, and maybe the cover if you didn't like it. You did so and huffed angrily before yelling, "XIOKOR HAS THE STUPIDEST TEACHERS!!!" making Raemous flinch and stare at you weirdly as he nodded his head, while throwing the waste parts of the snapping pea into another bowl he had and wiping his hand with a wet wipe as he handed you to bowl to spit your waste of the snapping peas.
"I know!"
"Did you know, that today when I entered the class, in my regular uniform; the white one, you know?"
Ramey nodded as you continued, "Yeah, so the discipline in-charge came in and yelled at every student who wore the regular, white uniform to get out of the class and stand outside, obviously I followed Solielin, because she was also wearing the white uniform along with 80 percent of the students from out class, right?!"
"Yeah, then?!" Ramey asked
"Well, then the discipline in-charge yelled at all of us and our neighboring class, the one with 40-50 students had literally only had 5 students in their class left who wore the sports uniform, and same for the higher grades than us and all those on the floor...And then the discipline in-charge has the AUDACITY TO YELL AT US AND SAY, "Well, we told it in assembly and your teacher probably also floated the message in your online server!!! LIKE BITCH, IF SHE DID WE WOULDN'T BE WEARING THIS, WOULD WE?!"
You yelled as Ramey continued to feed you snapping peas and changing the aurora sauce according to your wishes... in between nodding and humming and agreeing with you and hyping you up..
"And then the kids who did wear the sports outfit were only wearing it because they had try out, like 99 % OF STUDENTS AREN'T IN SPORTS UNIFORM! Maybe the problem is with you?! DUMB BITCH!? And then she made us hundreds of students wait outside during revision session with Lucifer...." You said taking a deep breathe to calm down as you took a large bite from the snapping pea in Ramey's hand, almost biting his hand off as well in anger as you held his hand tightly in your grasp angrily showing his affection. Ramey slowly pulled his hand away and pat your head to calm you down
"Heyyyyy, now, I'm sure the discipline in-charge is always wrong, no message was floated on the online server, she was only yelling because she is annoying, she's always been like that! Annoying, stupid, dumb, nerdy, kind of ugly!"
Raemous says smiling brightly as he put one snap pea in his mouth which was covered in Aurora sauce, as he bit it hard a tiny branch fell from the snapping pea, you caught it between your palms as you laughed a bit at Raemous's words as he comforted you, you kissed his lips as he returned the kiss before you both snuggled next to each-other the escaped peas still in one of your hands. As Ramey goes to hold your hand, he feels the peas in your hand and gets confused, "Huh? Why are there peas in your hands?"
"They escaped when you were eating.." You explained as you opened your palm and there laid two peas connected by a branch, "Hey look, it's like us!!!" Ramey says smiling brightly, showing his huge fangs, to which you smiled and nodded your head and held the hand which had the peas with one of his hands smiling and laughing.
As you both finished insulting the discipline-incharge for being stupid, you both sat there leaning against the wall of the music room, the glass on the adjacent triangle wall showed Lucifer and Belphegor playing the drums and having fun, as you both listened to them, you started drifting off due to being tired of Xiokor today....you yawned softly before burying your face into Ramey's biker jacket, which smelt of raspberries and ash...falling asleep with the two peas tightly in between your and Ramey's hand like they are back in the pods~

Various Ob.ey Me Kiwa Headcanons !
Tumblr media
under the read more because this is a long post !!
Sleep ; Kiwa has a few odd sleeping habits! For one, she usually sleeps mostly in the nude. Typically just shorts! She overheats really quickly at night and it wakes her up, so she figured that would be the easiest way to handle that. On some nights she does just have a very loose, thin fabric nightgown though! For sleepovers where clothes are kinda, y’know, necessary— She likes tank tops and shorts!
Sleep 2 ; Kiwa sleeps with a ridiculous amount of stuffed animals and other various cozy, cuddly items. She is a ridiculously cuddly individual and actually can’t sleep well if she doesn’t have her arms wrapped around something. She also just always loves being surrounded in a little pile of soft things!! She will, however, sacrifice some of her plush space for a partner to share her bed with her though… they wouldn’t fit otherwise lol
Bed ; Kiwa’s bed is covered in stuffed animals, pink, and many kinds of pillows and blankets. She doesn’t use the blankets too much, but she likes the texture of most of them! Her bed is also set up with a soft pink sheer fabric canopy, and she has a few extra stuffed animals atop the canopy for storage in a place she can still see them when she lays down! The bed is SUPER fluffy to sit on and very cozy!!!!
Art ; Art is a very, very important thing to Kiwa! Quite a few different forms of art too! She adores painting, and actually has painted a small mural on the wall of her room! Yes, she argued with Lucifer over it at least once lol. He could not stop her no matter how hard he tried. The mural is of various types of flowers with some clouds. She adds small new things to it sometimes when she’s bored! A few of the added things have been clouds in the shapes of various animals! She’s been considering asking Diavolo if she could paint a larger mural somewhere around R.A.D.
Art 2 ; Another form of art Kiwa really adores is music! She’s generally pretty good with a two instruments— piano, taught by her mother, and the guitar she learned in high school! She doesn’t play either too much anymore, but they’re still near and dear to her heart! If you catch her glancing longingly at a piano, it’s probably cause she misses the one she has at her parent’s place back home… she’s just not gonna say anything about it.
Art 3 ; A big (but subtle) way Kiwa shows her affection is sketching things of people she’s close to. She kinda finds herself doodling crushes of hers in class pretty frequently. She also draws them gifts and little sticky notes with motivational drawings very often! That applies to friends too, they always get cute little stuff on their books, doors, and various little places they’d stumble across in their day to day! She just wants to give them little random mood boosts!
Art Supplies ; Kiwa has and uses many different types of art supplies! These take up a good portion of her room and storage within it! Canvases, many kinds of paint, pencils, pens, stickers, and more! She has drawers upon drawers full of them. She typically goes for nicer brands, she’d rather shell out more money for higher quality supplies than have to buy more supplies bc cheaper ones run out faster! A good chunk of her funds go into art supplies. She also has a very large tower of storage drawers full of fabric!
Sewing ; Kiwa is a seamstress who runs her own small business. On top of her various other forms of art, sewing is one that’s especially important to her. Her adoptive father was a fashion designer as well (though he is now retired) and taught her a lot of what she knows about it! She did a lot of online classes about it as well— one of the few school-like things she’s ever been able to focus on. This blossomed into her running a small business making custom lingerie focusing on plus sizes.
Small Business ; Kiwa’s business started while she was in the human world, it’s one of the big ways she paid rent and bought her art supplies and fabric! Her business did continue into her moving to the Devildom, and she’s been having a lot of fun making lingerie for demons now as well! She has also started shifting into making regular clothing clothing items as well since coming to the Devildom. May as well expand her abilities as long as she’s somewhere new!
Angelic ; Kiwa is a human. Her mother, however, was not. For many, many years her mother was angel in the celestial realm. However, her mother eventually fell in love with a human man and gave up her blessing to become a human and live with him. Eventually Kiwa was born from their marriage, and she is completely a human.. but some angels can possibly sense she has a bit of angelic descent in her. Kiwa’s mother unfortunately passed away due to a human disease when she was a pre-teen, a disease that for a long, long, long time wouldn’t have impacted her at all.
School ; School…. isn’t really Kiwa’s thing. She’s not super good with it, nor has she ever been. Even throughout her time in the human world. It’s actually why she dropped out of college to just pursue her small business and the like. Even now enrolled in R.A.D., she’s not doing too well in majority of her classes. She’s a little frustrated about it, and it makes her upset more often than she’d like to admit, but she’s trying… kind of.
Side Business ; Kiwa started doing cam girl-type work around the time she turned 20. Alongside her lingerie business, it brought in a good amount of money! She paid rent, bought her supplies, and lived pretty nicely. She also gave a bit to her parents to assist her brother’s college fund! She really enjoys the work she does, she finds it a very nice way to express herself and her sexuality a little more, but she’s also not super attached to it. She would drop the more explicit work once in a relationship if her partner wanted her to! She would love to still do suggestive photoshoots with her own lingerie on occasion if her partner was comfortable though.
Side business 2 ; despite Kiwa being a cam girl, and doing very explicit stuff for strangers on the internet, she’s never dated or really had any romantic or sexual partners in person. She’s been far too busy, but it’s not for lack of interest!!! She hasn’t even had her first kiss in most situations solely because she’s just… busy. She has always been busy!
Brother ; Kiwa’s younger brother, Shion, has always been someone she’s very close to and who is very important to her. She always values Shion’s opinions and always enjoys being around him! This is possibly because on top of being his older sister, she did spend a good chunk of her teenage years basically half parenting him because of how busy their dads got. Their fashion design business picked up at a super unfortunate time, and they tried to be their for the kids as much as physically possible, but Kiwa assured them she didn’t mind helping out taking care of Shion. She did a decent job basically parenting him!!
Parents ; Kiwa’s birth parents unfortunately passed away when she was still fairly young, pre-teens, but she was adopted by two family friends after that. Her dads are two of the kindest, most loving, sweet people ever. One of them used to be a fashion designer, while the other was basically his secretary and assistant. They worked so well together and Kiwa always looked up to them! They are now retired and teach a pottery class in her hometown. Their hometown is small and in the country side, not very big, but warm and welcoming. One of her dads became mute from an accident a few years before her time in the Devildom, and as such, Kiwa, both of her dads, and her brother all learned and know JSL to communicate.
Mornings ; Kiwa isn’t much of a morning person. She can’t really wake herself up too easily— when she first wakes up is one of the main times you can ever really make her mad or see her grouchy! She’s pretty huffy in the morning when she first wakes up unless it’s on her own terms. She falls back asleep pretty easily too! If you try to wake her up, and you don’t see her put her feet on the floor, she’s probably gonna fall back asleep. She’s a little better about mornings if she has a partner who she shares a bed with— waking up cuddling someone she loves negates any possible bad mood.
Pets ; Kiwa has had quite a few pets throughout her life— animals are something she is ALWAYS going to adore. She’s always cared so much for animals. Currently, though, she has a few pet ferrets. There are five total, and they are absolute little trouble makers. Their names are Cupcake, Macaron, Donut, Bonbon, and Pudding! Their enclosure takes up about an entire wall of her room, and she takes wonderful care of them!! They are her babies!! HER BABIES!! They have plenty of toys and places to hang out!! Sometimes… they run around the House of Lamentation.. chaotic babies.
Magic ; Kiwa has an odd and distinct lack of magical power. She doesn’t have much of an interest in pacts, but she doesn’t have much innate magic either. She struggles to learn it and doesn’t do well in classes that teach and involve magic. She doesn’t really seem to mind it too much, mainly because she knows there’s other things she’s good with! Maybe one day she’ll be more interested in pacts with the demon brothers, but as for now, she’s a little uneasy about the idea.
Love Languages ; Kiwa’s main two love languages are physical touch and quality time. She is a cuddly, touchy, lovey thing and being able to touch and be close to her partners (and friends!!) is so important to her. She respects those who are nervous about it, and she does her best to be considerate about it!! Her brother isn’t much of a cuddly person either, so she’d adapted to try her best to ask less affectionate people before just tackling them into a hug. She forgets sometimes but she’s doing her best!! Quality time is also very important to Kiwa, she’s the type who’s very content just being in the same room with someone she cares about even if they’re doing completely different things. It’s bonding time that she really treasures.

Autobiography
I was born during the summer, on the 10th day of March 2004 in the busy city of Las Pinas. We are three siblings in the family and I was the third. Unfortunately, my brother Ruzel died when he was still an infant. I was raised by my grandparents from my father's side because my parents have to work for the betterment of our family, they say. I grew up a typical way, Ido what other children would do but I didn't grow close and open to my family. Maybe it's because of the different treatment of my parents between me and my brother, Selwyn. I was always left behind during vacation trips because someone had to be at home to feed the dogs and take care of our grandmother from my mother's side. It was tough but I don't really mind it, after all, that's the thing that changed me, shaped me, and made me become the Zandrew I am today. Fast forward to when I started my high school life, I experienced the sign of coming of age and of course, I experienced my first love. It was so cruel and chaotic but I am thankful that it happened because it also help me become what I am now. There I developed the thinking that sometimes, something is just too cruel for us to have so it'll leave. Sometimes, things will not go the way we planned them and we have to accept that fact. That is also the time when I learned how to play the guitar. I used a youth choir guitarist but my way of playing the instrument does not really match up, it was more of a rock and roll manner. I was forced to quit the choir because of the way I played during that one mass. But that did not stop me from playing the guitar because I often play songs at school with my other classmates and I was part of a school band. The year was 2017 and during the month of November, my father got sick with tuberculosis. He was immediately brought to the hospital near their office. He stayed at the intensive care unit for almost one month because his condition was so bad. That is the time when I experienced the holiday season alone, the Christmas and New Year passed by without a single glimpse of happiness. He got discharged in January 2018 and started recovering for 6 months before going back to work. Days passed by and the year 2019 came, the year the COVID-19 pandemic started. It was my birthday when the quarantine started, it was only a one-week suspension that turns out to be years. At first, it was hard because I can't do the things that I always do but then I find ways to do something just to erase boredom. I experienced online and modular classes during my last grade as a junior high school student, it was something foreign to a student because we are used to always going to school every day. I accepted academic commissions that got me paid 500 pesos per quarter. I graduated with honors and applied as a senior high school student at Emilio Aguinaldo College - Cavite. I am currently enjoying my last year as a high school student and college life is around the corner. This is very tiring because I joined too many extracurricular activities, I am part of the school press which is The Emilian Chronicler, I also played basketball for HUMSSstrandduringourintramurals and now I am playing for SHS12, I am also playing for a band that will perform in our school for an event. My life is a busy life but I still enjoy the things I do because I enjoy exploring different things. I do have a lot of dreams and a lot of other things I wanted to do, I guess I am an explorer. Things that happened to me since I was a child are the things that made me up today, I am thankful for everything because it will not be the same if something was missed. I still have a long way to go and I am sure that there will be a lot of things that will shape me and help me shape my adult figure.

Where Can I Find Guitar Classes Near Me?
Tumblr media
Understanding Your Needs
Before you start your search for “Guitar Classes Near Me,” it’s important to assess your needs and goals. Are you a complete beginner, or do you have some experience? What style of music are you interested in? Do you prefer group lessons, one-on-one sessions, or online classes? Answering these questions will help narrow down your options and find a class that suits your preferences.
The Importance of Location
When searching for “Guitar Classes Near Me,” the location is a key factor. Proximity to your home or workplace makes it easier to attend classes regularly, reducing the chances of missing lessons due to travel issues. You can start by searching online for music schools, private tutors, or community centers that offer guitar classes in your area. Make a list of potential options and note their locations to see which ones are most convenient for you.
Types of Guitar Classes
There are several types of guitar classes available, each catering to different skill levels and learning preferences. Here’s a breakdown of the most common types:
Private Guitar Lessons
Private lessons are one-on-one sessions with an instructor who tailors the lessons to your specific needs. These lessons are ideal for beginners who need personalized attention or advanced players looking to focus on specific techniques. Private lessons are often more expensive but offer the advantage of a customized learning experience.
Group Guitar Classes
Group classes involve learning with other students at a similar skill level. These classes are more affordable and provide an opportunity to learn in a social environment. Group lessons are great for beginners who want to learn the basics in a supportive setting. They also offer a chance to meet other guitar enthusiasts and potentially form bands or music groups.
Online Guitar Classes
Tumblr media
How to Find “Guitar Classes Near Me”
Now that you know what type of classes you’re interested in, let’s explore how to find the best “Guitar Classes Near Me.”
Online Search
The internet is a powerful tool for finding guitar classes in your area. Start by typing “Guitar Classes Near Me” into your preferred search engine. You’ll likely find a mix of music schools, private tutors, and community programs. Be sure to check their websites for details on the types of classes they offer, their instructors, pricing, and student reviews.
Social Media and Online Communities
Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are great places to find local guitar classes. Many instructors and schools have social media pages where they post updates, testimonials, and class schedules. You can also join local music groups or forums to ask for recommendations and reviews from other guitarists in your area.
Music Schools and Community Centers
Local music schools and community centers are excellent places to find guitar classes. These institutions often offer a range of music lessons, including guitar, at various skill levels. They may also host workshops, recitals, and other events that can enhance your learning experience. Visiting these places in person allows you to ask questions, meet instructors, and get a feel for the learning environment.
Word of Mouth
Don’t underestimate the power of personal recommendations. Ask friends, family, or coworkers if they know of any good guitar classes nearby. Personal recommendations are valuable because they come from people you trust, and they can provide insights into the instructor’s teaching style and the overall class experience.
Local Music Stores
Music stores are often hubs for local musicians and can be a great resource for finding guitar classes. Many stores have bulletin boards with flyers from local instructors, or they may even offer lessons themselves. The staff at music stores are usually knowledgeable about the local music scene and can point you in the right direction.
What to Look for in a Guitar Class
Finding a guitar class near you is only the first step. To ensure you get the most out of your lessons, it’s important to choose a class that meets your needs and expectations. Here are some factors to consider:
Instructor’s Qualifications and Experience
The instructor plays a crucial role in your learning experience. Look for an instructor who has a solid background in music, preferably with formal education in guitar. Experience is also key — an instructor with years of teaching experience is more likely to understand the challenges students face and know how to address them effectively.
Teaching Style
Different instructors have different teaching styles. Some may focus on music theory and technique, while others emphasize practical playing and learning by ear. Consider your learning style and what you want to achieve with your guitar playing. It’s important to find an instructor whose teaching style matches your preferences.
Curriculum and Structure
A well-structured curriculum is essential for steady progress. Ask potential instructors or schools about their lesson plans and how they structure their classes. A good curriculum should cover the basics — such as chords, scales, and reading music — while gradually introducing more advanced techniques.
Class Size
If you’re considering group classes, pay attention to the class size. Smaller classes allow for more individual attention, which can be beneficial for beginners. Larger classes can be fun and energetic but may lack the personalized instruction some students need.
Cost
Cost is an important factor when choosing a guitar class. Private lessons tend to be more expensive than group or online classes, but they offer more personalized instruction. Determine your budget and find a class that offers good value for your money. Some instructors or schools may offer discounts for multiple sessions or group bookings.
Trial Lessons
Many instructors offer a trial lesson or a free consultation. Take advantage of this opportunity to see if the instructor’s teaching style and personality are a good fit for you. A trial lesson can give you a sense of what to expect and help you make an informed decision.
The Benefits of Combining Guitar and Singing Classes
If you’re passionate about music, you might also be interested in singing. Searching for “Singing Classes Near Me” in addition to guitar classes can enhance your musical abilities and provide a more well-rounded education. Here’s how combining guitar and singing lessons can benefit you:
Improved Musicality
Learning both guitar and singing helps you develop a stronger sense of rhythm, melody, and harmony. This dual approach allows you to understand music more deeply and create more complex and interesting compositions.
Performance Skills
If you aspire to perform live, whether at an open mic or in a band, being able to sing and play the guitar simultaneously is a valuable skill. Singing while playing the guitar requires coordination and practice, but it can make your performances more dynamic and engaging.
Songwriting
Many songwriters use the guitar as a tool for composing songs. If you can sing and play the guitar, you’ll have the ability to create and perform your original music. This can be particularly rewarding if you have a passion for writing lyrics and melodies.
Vocal Accompaniment
Even if you don’t plan to sing professionally, being able to accompany yourself on the guitar while singing can be a fun and fulfilling hobby. It allows you to play and sing your favorite songs, making your practice sessions more enjoyable.
Versatility
Having both guitar and vocal skills makes you a more versatile musician. Whether you’re jamming with friends, performing solo, or playing in a band, being able to sing and play the guitar opens up more opportunities and allows you to participate in a wider range of musical activities.
Conclusion
Finding the right “Guitar Classes Near Me” is the first step on your journey to mastering the guitar. Whether you choose private lessons, group classes, or online sessions, it’s important to find an instructor and class structure that meets your needs. Don’t forget to consider the benefits of taking singing classes as well, as they can complement your guitar playing and make you a more versatile musician.
By taking the time to research your options and assess your goals, you’ll be well on your way to finding a guitar class that not only teaches you how to play but also inspires you to keep learning and growing as a musician. Start your search today, and soon you’ll be strumming your favorite tunes and perhaps even singing along.

“young hearts be free tonight”
the only thing that makes this worth it is doing things for my friends and family. Everytime they get to meet someone that they idolize or I can buy them or hook them up with something they wanted. Everytime they can brag to their friends about it or hook their band up or name drop them to whoever... It brings a smile to my face. I only do this for you.
the new academy songs are amazing. it's snowing out but it looks fake just like in the movies (it's got me looking for the cameras).
I got a kiss on the corner of my mouth for you wendybird.

So the show in chicago. Thanks for making me feel okay (see also: thanks for the tshirt and baby panda). The show was amazing. I know everyone might not have been into all the bands that played but I appreciate that everyone was cool and gave them a chance. I wrecked my back yesterday so sorry if it seemed like I was off. Thank you for making me feel okay (see also: vicoden and muscle relaxer). It was good to see old friends, I have missed you. Some kid emailed me to tell how lame we were for saying "I say whatever cause it makes me feel cool". Take a class on sarcasm. If you know me you know how uncool I am. I stutter, wear bad clothes, make bad jokes, make conversation uncomfortable, the list goes on. Thank you for making me feel okay (see also: nightmare of you).

Today, my high school hosted their annual art show.
This year was the first (and last) year that I had a piece featured in it.
It was also the first (and possibly last) time I'll go to it. (Though maybe I'll be back someday?)
Though I'd never been to one before, this year's exhibition felt special compared to the other years.
Maybe it was because a lot of my friends had full displays at this show.
=====================================
I walked in, showed my parents the one thing I'd painted, and quickly made my way to the main floor where all my friends were displaying their work.
First, I'd stopped at a table with a friend I knew from soccer at the beginning of the school year. He'd been injured for the first half of the season, so we'd spent a lot of time talking while on the sidelines. (It's worth noting I managed the team, so I didn't spend much time in drills either.) While we talked about his art projects occasionally, I had no idea what to expect tonight from his display at the art show.
What I didn't expect was Wes Anderson level stop-motion projects. At no point had I ever gotten the feeling that this friend was one who'd worked with stop-motion. A whole area was dedicated to watching various films he'd made. My favorite one was one he'd made about lemmings, which was a criticism of the work-intensive culture in America. (You know I love my societal parodies!)
But I think it goes to show that you'll never really know everything about a person. In fact, I'm still learning new stuff about my parents even after living with them for the past eighteen years.
Next' I'd visited a table with a newer friend, who, while we went to elementary school together, I can't say we talked much until more recently during art class. She was always working on some crochet stuff or something similar, so when I finally read their exhibit description, I was honestly shocked to find out that they focused on making their own dyes.
You know, like in Minecraft? When you take the flowers and--it's something I'd always been interested in doing, but never really had the time to do myself. It was exhilarating to see someone else who'd actually taken it up seriously. I can't explain why. After all, I wasn't even doing the thing--someone else was, and I still thought it was cool!
Maybe it's because it was someone I knew in person, who existed as a real tangible person as opposed to the online people I could've watched do the same techniques. That's just my guess.
Then I walked past the piano, which one of my friends was playing. They'd played piano at past art shows, usually with someone else to take turns with, but this time, they played the whole two hours alone. I commend Piano Friend for this--it's hard for me to even improvise for more than an hour before my hands hurt!
I also feel kind of bad for them--he never got a chance to look at most of the art, save for the displays near him. Nonetheless...
Near Piano Friend was quite possibly the most awesome artist at our school--who also happened to be another one of my friends! She was super busy talking to the many people who'd come to look at her work--as expected, since she's done so much art-related stuff for the school. Her first piece of the year was elected as the poster for the art show, and she was also commissioned to design the 2024 mural portrait thingy. (I don't remember exactly what it's called right now, but it's kind of a big deal to have the honor of designing it!)
Honestly, I didn't feel a strong need to talk to Awesome Friend since they seemed so busy with all the art show guests, and I get to talk to her every day at school anyway. Nonetheless, I still said hello when I had a chance to.
After that, I had a pleasant conversation with another artist who'd taken a more abstract approach to art. We discussed how "spontaneous art is often great", and how playing the guitar spontaneously often leads to better melodies than playing it mechanically.
Finally, I stopped at another newer elementary school friend's (like Dye Friend) display, which featured a painting of an image that was unmistakably a painting of a scene from our kindergarten play. Obviously, when I asked her about it, she confirmed my assumptions, and also added that the work made her feel a little sad.
I must admit it also made me sad, but in a good nostalgic sort of way. I feel that the painting was sort of a testament to how far we'd come since then. Just twelve short years ago we were on the stage retelling the children's story "Are You My Mother?", and now here we were getting ready to graduate from high school.
Of course, and all the things that happened between those two points.
=====================================
This year's art show was, again, special.
Though I've tried to appreciate and understand art when I go to museums and such, I can't say I've ever understood it as fully as I did tonight. When I know and have watched the stories behind the pieces my classmates've worked on, it really adds something to the experience of viewing all the finished works displayed together.
Honestly, I'm a bit miffed that I'll probably never know the art at an exhibition again as well as I did tonight.
But life goes on. And I'll have new once-in-a-lifetime experiences to mourn the singleton-ness of soon.
