One thing I thought about "One Year Later" is, thank goodness that the players decided to change the game at the end. If they'd just walked in with a lot of different people's hair, that would've been a real wet fart of an ending. Like, Jacob sent us 900 feet underground earlier, Vic made $12,105 in three hours, & Lou got not one, but TWO jet skis. The ending has to heighten from that, & frankly, hair ain't cutting it (pun intended).

Izzy Roland once asked me, "Is this a kink?" And my response to her was, "I don't know."

Quick shoutout to Sam's wife Elaine for doing that whole photoshoot with Vic and giving them keys and the house deed without Sam knowing. Secret MVP of the episode <3

For some reason, the line in that episode that I find absolutely the funniest is “Another point away from Vic, for robbing my home.”
Every time I see that line I burst into giggles.

i keep coming back to the density, yeah. was talking about it with a friend earlier and had the thought: they could do a feature-length documentary just about the making of this episode. i mean, i don't know if they have all the process footage you'd need. but in terms of storylines and strategy and bts?? easily enough there. it practically felt rushed!
Easily one of the best game changer episodes hands down.
3 of the most talented performers on dropout given a year to really perfect their bullshit and create impressive jokes
trapping a standee of sam in a silver mine, FORMING A BOY BAND, getting a custom wrapped joker car, successful investing in the stock market? Voice mail musical, oh i just remembered not one but TWO SEEDOOS
So much cool stuff, incredibly dense episode, crazy amount of work done by everyone

I’m being so genuine when I say this game changer is so important to me. Not only is it one of the funniest game changer episodes I’ve ever watched, but it fundamentally impacted countless people’s lives. That sounds a little dramatic, but I’m being genuine.
In the past year, Jacob, Vic, and Lou went out into the world and made real change to everyday people’s lives. The musical, the high school marching band, the painting that was commissioned, the fucking $2,900 dollars that was donated to charity?!?!
All of those examples were real tangible things, that were yes, done in commitment to the bit, but they happened all the same. They paid support to the arts, to creativity, to kindness.
Last season we saw the environment of game changer be extended to the entirety of the dropout studio: with Bingo, Beat that Buzzer, and Deja Vu. Now this newest episode bursts the game out into the wide world, and I’m so excited to see what Sam has in store for us.

Okay, I know this website is fundamentally incapable of idolizing anyone who isn't a man, but can we please try with Vic Michaelis? I love Brennan Lee Mulligan as much as the next guy, but I think after this episode, Vic has officially taken his crown and become the ultimate game changer contestant. I think now when we talk about Game Changer, they have to be the first name we mention.

Jacob, Vic, and Lou really said “We’re pro-kink, we just think that if you’re going to engage in your kinks you should probably know what they are. So here’s a present for you. Have fun babe, come find us when you’re ready to continue the scene.”

everything about the latest game changer ep was crazy but especially the number of times that I took vic's first answer to each challenge at face value. I'd be like "oh it's funny but kind of awkward compared to all the work lou and jacob put into theirs" only to immediately get blown the fuck away

Hard to believe it's been a year now since "An Interview with Alex Hirsch" released. It was and still remains, the biggest and most ambitious video I've ever worked on and likely will ever for my channel. Having the chance to meet and talk to Alex Hirsch was a dream come true and something I still can't fully wrap my mind around the fact it even happened. I joined the fandom a year after Gravity Falls had ended. I'm just a guy from Canada who makes silly videos. And yet, I managed to work my way to where I went from being the new kid on the block, to having spoken to the creator of the show behind why we're all here to begin with. I guess if there's any moral to the story, it's that your date of joining the fandom is not a limiting factor. Whether your joined in 2012 or only recently, every GF fan has a chance to leave their mark in this community. I've known fans who like me, joined well after and they've grown to become big members in the GF art, fanfic and even video making community. We all are a community of fans united in our love for this show. And that matters most at the end of the day.
I am still beyond grateful for everyone who helped in making that interview happen. Be it @brightdrawings for the trailer for the interview, @stephreynaart for the amazing thumbnail art for the project and more.
And of course, I am beyond thankful to have had @fordtato as my co-host on that interview. Without them, it wouldn't have gone as well as it did. That July afternoon in 2023 was a moment I had dreamed about and never could've thought we'd both find ourselves in a position to do. But looking back, I wouldn't change any of it for a second. Be it the friends I made from it, hype and excitement from fans about it, or even just the continued contact I still have with Hirsch and even the fandom resurgence it was at the beginning of as The Book of Bill release re-hyped the fandom. It changed my life for the better the same way this show did.
I hope one day I get a chance to do something close to it again but even if I never do, it's an experience and moment in my life I will never forget and always look back on with happiness and pride. The Gravity Falls fandom got me through some difficult days in my life. I hope this interview in a small way was a chance for me to give back to you all for that kindness.
If you've not checked out the interview yet (for some reason), check out both mine and Hana's parts below!

Vic is consistently winning a completely different game, no matter what it is they are actually playing. They are the true Game Changer
I cannot stress enough, that Vic choosing to just spend a full year setting up a full force psychological assault on Sam that included FORGING A DEED TO HIS HOUSE AND MAKING HIM EAT SAND, instead of trying to win in any way was the greatest power-move I have ever seen.
