Gestire un blog efficace è indispensabile, che esso sia collegato a un sito come un eCommerce o si tratti semplicemente di un sito mantenuto per la semplice passione.

La rete, da qualche anno, offre una serie di piattaforme che offrono a livello gratuito la possibilità di realizzare il proprio blog. Al contempo, questi servizi talvolta non richiedono la benché minima conoscenza in ambito di HTML e CSS. Tutto ciò ha comportato una vera e propria saturazione del web, con un numero impressionanti di blog.

Può bastare saper scrivere bene per distinguersi dalla massa? E quali sono le strategie per poter conquistare un pubblico sempre più ampio o per diventare un vero e proprio punto di riferimento per la nicchia che si tratta?

Blog efficace: essere un buon scrittore non vuol dire essere anche un ottimo blogger

Seppur saper scrivere bene e sfruttare le parole per poter attirare visitatori siano prerequisiti fondamentali per essere blogger di successo, serve decisamente qualcosa in più per spiccare nella massa.

Spesso mi capita di trovare dei blog semi sconosciuti e con pochissimo seguito e, soffermandomi un attimo sui testi, mi accorgo di quanto questi autori siano obiettivamente ottimi scrittori: nonostante ciò, a seguirli sono davvero poche persone.

Ottenere visibilità nel web 2.0 è tutto e, anche il più grande scrittore o poeta, se non riesce a farsi notare più degli altri finisce nel dimenticatoio.

I blogger di alto profilo sanno bene come, per ottenere risultati degni di nota, sia indispensabile dosare alla perfezione diversi ingredienti come marketing, SEO, gestione dei social network, branding e un’attenta pianificazione del tempo a disposizione. Analizziamo insieme le principali caratteristiche, oltre alle capacità di scrittura, che dovrebbe considerare come indispensabili ogni blogger.

1- Una questione di brand

Se dai una rapida occhiata ai più grandi influencer (non solo italiani) noterai come fanno un lavoro a 360 gradi, non solo puntando su ciò che scrivono ma anche sul brand che, di fatto, sono diventati.

Effettivamente, il blogger come persona, diventa un vero e proprio brand: dunque l’immagine deve essere trattata e promossa come se si trattasse di un’azienda vera e propria.

Anche se il tuo fine ultimo non è vendere nessun bene e servizio, devi riuscire a inculcare nella mente di chi ti segue che, nel tuo tema, sei una figura altamente esperta e che comunica informazioni interessanti a chi è nell’ambiente.

2- Pubblicazione costante

Che si tratti di blog o social network, mantenere costante la propria presenza è essenziale. Grossi tempi morti tra un articolo o un post e l’altro, possono farti gradualmente allontanare dal fan.

Questa è un’altra grande differenza tra scrittori e blogger: i primi lavorano principalmente quando sono ispirati, i secondi lavorano in maniera costante. Ancor prima di avviare il tuo blog, devi sapere la cadenza di pubblicazione e mantenerla.

Non importa se ti prepari articoli e materiale da gestire su ampi spazi temporali: secondo la maggioranza delle opinioni, per quanto riguarda i social, devi proporre almeno 3 o 4 contenuti a settimana.

Naturalmente, se sei un blogger, ciò non vuol dire che devi sempre realizzare questo numero di articoli: i visitatori si fidelizzano anche proponendogli risorse “esterne” al tuo blog ma sempre pertinenti.

Per assurdo, anche proporre materiale di un blog che tratta tematiche “adiacenti” alle tue, può rafforzare l’idea del tuo follower di te come di un punto di riferimento nel settore specifico.

3- Parola d’ordine organizzazione!

Può sembrare un fattore secondario, ma la gestione del tempo e l’organizzazione sono la chiave del successo (non solo nell’ambito dei blog).

Chi vuole avere un blog efficace, non deve lasciarlo al caso: la stesura di un post può prendere da qualche decina di minuti sino anche a 3 ore e, proprio per questo motivo, devi pianificare il tempo in maniera oculata.

Calcola in media quanto tempo impieghi per proporre al pubblico un tuo contenuto, dalla realizzazione testuale, alla gestione di immagini e impostazioni dell’articolo, sino alla diffusione sui social. Moltiplica per 3 o 4 a seconda di quanti articoli a settimana vuoi pubblicare… si tratta di un bel po’ di tempo, vero?

Non solo: naturalmente devi tenere conto di imprevisti e problemi vari… sei ancora così sicuro che pianificare le tue attività sia di secondaria importanza?

In questo senso esistono un’infinità di tool estremamente utili. Personalmente faccio un impiego massiccio di Google Calendar, uno strumento incluso nel “pacchetto” del tuo account Google che è decisamente sottovalutato. Si tratta di un calendario che, già solo con un semplice sguardo, ti aiuta a capire come stai gestendo la tua giornata.

4- L’importanza del networking

Spesso, per insicurezza o presunzione, ci si tiene a distanza da altri blogger. In realtà questo è un comportamento sbagliato, in quanto la collaborazione con i tuoi colleghi può rivelarsi estremamente proficua per entrambi.

Creare una rete attorno a te può essere molto utile: cerca altri blogger che trattano i tuoi argomenti e valuta se esistono affinità e possibilità di collaborazioni.

Prova a contattarli, a saggiare le loro intenzioni per capire se sono propensi al dialogo. Spesso queste proposte sono ben accolte dai tuoi colleghi e, così facendo, potresti inoltre farti degli amici che hanno le tue stesse passioni!

Naturalmente, contattare subito grandi influencer di livello internazionale o più difficilmente porterà a grandi risultati: perché dunque non cercare nel “sottobosco” della rete piccoli blogger con grandi potenzialità ma con poca visibilità?

Non esistono vere e proprie strategie per poter costruire un network attorno al tuo blog. Si tratta di un lavoro che cambia di nicchia in nicchia e richiede alcune doti solitamente tipiche di figure come i PR.

visibilità a un pubblico che è simile a quello che hai già e che dunque può crescere anche notevolmente

Naturalmente, costruire una rete di contatti richiede ulteriore tempo per scrivere mail, cercare blog simili al tuo ed eventualmente organizzare attività con i colleghi contattati.

Non serve essere dei veri e propri specialisti del settore, basta conoscere alcune semplici basi facilmente assimilabili con qualunque guida che tratti di onsite.

La fatica tra realizzare un contenuto totalmente nemico dei motori di ricerca e uno con le basilari funzionalità SEO è davvero minima: perché dunque non impegnarsi un minimo per imparare a realizzare testi e articoli che possano essere di gradimento per Google e soci?

Se poi l’argomento non ti è proprio ostico, potresti fare il passo leggermente successivo, ovvero mettere mano a strumenti come Google Analytics o Search Console, per studiare il comportamento dei tuoi visitatori e comprendere se il tuo blog è perfetto o presenta qualche problema.

Contrariamente a quanto detto, se proprio non hai voglia o pazienza, puoi sempre affidarti (a patto che tu stia utilizzando come piattaforma WordPress) plugin come SEO Yoast, All in One SEO o simili: non si tratta di una soluzione definitiva ma semplicemente di strumenti utili a farti rispettare perlomeno le basi di ciò che è il settore SEO onsite.

6- I blogger? Più brand che scrittori

Lo so, è un’affermazione piuttosto forte.

Eppure, se hai notato, molti influencer pongono l’accento più sul loro nome che sui contenuti che propongono. Ciò non vuol dire che magari non siano ottimi scrittori, ma risulta come dopo un periodo di graduale crescita, il loro nome prenda il sopravvento sui contenuti.
