HI ELZ WELCOME BACK TO THE FRAY I MISSED YOU SO MUCH DID YOU KNOW THAT character solidifying asks here

44. How badly do they want to obtain their life objectives? How do they pursue them? Omura is… sort of passive. I say sort of, because the Jedi way does not encourage wanton ambition. The Mandalorian way says that giving up is not an option. So Omura goes about its goals in a steadfast (when applicable) and mindful manner. For example - the progression of its journey from Youngling to Master. Omura does not rush into these, and is usually pleasantly surprised when the next transition does occur; because it is not consciously thinking of these goals. Kinda like, let the Force guide you where you need to be.

45. Is your character pragmatic? Think first? Responsible? All action? A visionary? Passionate? Quixotic? I’d like to think so! Always think for the long-run. When the Occlusion attacked it in the caves of Ilum, Omura did not immediately rush and attack; it circled the miasma and took gauge of its properties, and the miasma did the same. When Omura finally did attack, it was just a short-lived flurry before the Occlusion dissipated and the other Masters and Knights were released from its hold. Had Omura attacked straight away, almost certainly the Occlusion would have killed all Jedi present.

Or, in the case of taking down Supreme Chancellor Palpatine - once again, Omura did not let itself, Anakin, or Altair (@/kebbie) take the first hit. It wanted to goad Sidious into believing he had the upper hand and indirectly relieve itself of all responsibility for turning his ass into glue momentarily.

During the Sequels era, Omura takes on Finn as its newest Padawan. I’d think it would have a deep connection to a being that feels listless, unsure if they deserve the calling of the Force because of the lives they’ve taken. Omura knew the feeling of thinking it was a murderer by proxy of being born Mandalorian, but clearly the Force called it to the Jedi Order for a reason - there must be trust in the Force, no matter how strange its words may be. Trust you are going in the direction chosen for you and all will become clear.

One of my favourite AUs is where the madzverse and the cheeriverse intersect, and Dara raises Omura with the help of the parentcule. Omura likes to snuggle in Dara and Kit's ahwey, Agen's hair or Mace's robes. Snuggle time is very important to growing toglings and chronically fatigued mamas.

this is bad because omura, as a togruta, is an ambush predator. coria is the baby of the creche.

okay let's deviate. let's drag it back to the clone wars because i need to remember my blorbos that started it all,

DANCE :  for one muse to ask the other to dance at a party.

What if I revived Omura for just a little bit. This is set in roughly 16 BBY (man I really need to find a better calendar system here..) - the war has just ended, the Republic is victorious. The Jedi deserve to celebrate just as well as anyone else; they've fought, they've led the battles, they've slogged through hell and back and came out on top just as everyone was sure that it was going to look like a fucking wash! Who would have figured that the Sith Lord was .. uh, the Supreme Chancellor. Okay. Kinda weird.

But Omura, and Anakin, and Altair brought him to justice. He died in custody. That was fine, they had a better Chancellor elected by landslide vote.

Now was the time to recuperate. Omura was looking for someone in particular who had spent her entire time beating herself up for something or other, convinced she wasn't cut out for the war but wasn't cut out to miss it either. The orange-toned Twi'lek that stood nervously at the door of the ballroom that was alight was glee in the Force, absorbing it for themself and left their eyes wandering for Omura. "Kimni," it reached out with a warm hand, "c'mon?"

And Kimnitadodena pulled closer, letting on that they're newer to dancing than they are to combat. Not like Usokya'Omura Vane who turned combat into an elaborate dance choreographed by instinct, but like a Youngling holding twin blades for the first time trying to copy the Temple's most skillful master. Omura hoped to change their mind with a sweetened smile - "Nervous?"

"Duh. Did the Living Force tell you so?" Kimni clipped back, no malice intended. Very much nervous at eyeballing the amount of people inside. So Omura pulled him a different way, back into the quiet halls only occasionally disturbed by others hoping to dodge the party for their own reasons. Into a patch of moonlight where the jewels lit up over Omura's dress and cascaded drops of the rainbow on Kimni's overshirt.

Not that the subtle giggle of the Togruta was lost on Kimni, anyway. "Well, then I guess I'll have to teach you this too. Maybe I know a little something about dancing. Maybe.. just maybe." The growing smile over Kimni's features, though..

That made it worth the snide remarks.

For Talia, I prescribe her the age-old “YOU CAN’T BE A JEDI KNIGHT DATING A CLONE CAPTAIN!!! THAT’S POWER IMBALANCE HE ISN’T ALLOWED TO MAKE HIS OWN AUTONOMOUS DECISIONS HE’S STATE PROPERTY WAAAAHHHHHHH” because once again - the nuance goes straight over their heads, expeditiously. I need to binge Illicit Affairs SO bad rn I’m gonna froth at the mouth until I get some time to sit down and digest bc MMMMMMMMMM I NEED THIS AND YOUR STYLE ALREADY HAS ME GRIPPED

For Omura, it’s even funnier: “YOU CAN’T BE A JEDI AND A MANDALORIAN AT THE SAME TIME WAAAAHHHHH THE JEDI ARE AT PEACE AND THE MANDALORIANS CRAVE WAR” or the converse “THE JEDI STEAL CHILDREN AND THE MANDALORIANS BUILD FAMILIES WAAAHHHHHH”. Both are equally :despair: worthy. Because Omura was born on Mandalore to a Mandalorian family and was willingly given to the Jedi, raised with full knowledge of its heritage and encouragement to reconnect, and it later made the conscious choice to return home a few years after the war - but serves on the Council as an interim sometimes :3 lots of folks would be pissed to see a Mandalorian guiding the Jedi Council I’m sure

44. Who, if anyone, would they trust with their deepest secrets?

Omura is someone who believes that some secrets go to the grave and the great beyond, so its deepest secrets will be held to its heart unless it is a supremely dire life-or-death situation that can be reasonably worth betraying this trust. If it had to pick anyone, it would probably be its master and favorite first dad, Mace Windu :]

Honorable mentions go to its partners (Aray’ala, Latil, Sirajaat, Bolt), Anakin on the off-handed occasion, Maila, Dara Idella, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar, pretty much family.

24-28 for Omura?

24. Do they have any enemies?

Yes, but they don’t last very long - defeat, misunderstanding, just giving up.. Omura usually comes out on top. It’s hard to fight a god when you realize that it’s just been minding its own business to the best of its dear, sweet ability. I am working on fleshing out a specific nemesis for Omura once it is able to return to the fray of war! And I did have a little bit of a thought about some intra-Temple collisions that often fizzle out once words are actually used.

25. Do they have a daily/nightly routine?

When it was just a little Toglet, most of its routine consisted of: wake up, chew on parent, eat, potty, play, go back to sleep.

When it started to form more of a Togruta-shape and closer to Padawan age, that routine expanded into morning stretches, good meals, a bit of age-appropriate sparring, cool-downs, another meal, playtime, second practice, cool-downs, a nap, a third meal, bathtime, and then bed.

Knighthood, not counting the war, brought up its self-guided interest into its Mandalorian heritage. Spare time was filled with studying language and history, and learning how to pray while in action. But most everything else stayed the same.

After the war and when it leaves the Order is more oriented towards taking care and providing for its family (spouses, children, and mother) but again, stayed the same where possible. Cooking duties were added, spending ample time in a nest, bottle-nursing, and so on so forth. Naptime is non-negotiable and WILL be included every day.

Nightly routines mostly consist of bathtime, teeth brushing, woo-hoo funtimes, and nest-making.

26. Have they met any of their heroes? Did they regret it?

Lucky for Omura, its heroes are in the Jedi Temple. Cin Drallig, Mace Windu, Ephraim Collins, Kit Fisto, Dara Idella, Agen Kolar — Maila, Jacef, many of the ghost Legacy lineage as well, Somogyi and Judro.. then it was able to meet its oldest ancestor, a former Battlemaster of the Order named Okuva Vane who does still wander around the Temple, and it met its late father Huky’Caron Talyl, who sacrificed himself on a mission a year and a half after Omura was born.

It never regretted a single moment of being in their presence.

27. Has a chance encounter ever had an unexpected effect on them?

Does a chance encounter of being in the Temple when Anakin Skywalker was admitted as a youngling, and happening to be with Grandmaster Windu when he was introduced count? Thus prompting Omura to thoroughly sniff and bite him in a friendly gesture and make possibly the most profound friend it will ever know?

28. Are they a #gamer?

If collecting spouses like infinity stones counts as being a #gamer, then yes. Absolutely. Or little foundlings and biological kiddos.

BLORBO BLURSDAY THATS SO GOOD

1) Darrash’s deep-seeded and eternal desire for freedom, free will, and complete control of self. He wants nothing more and nothing less than to be untethered to what he does not believe in, and more than likely he will remain a lone wolf until he creates the Alliance with like-minded individuals.

2) Quite unfortunately, that would be my (former) Zygerrian Queen — Anna Wisefront Praragir. She did exactly this; she sent herself into exile after sending a call for help, requesting that a Jedi come to Zygerria to collect five Force-sensitive kits. One of them was her own daughter, still an infant. She went into hiding shortly after sending that message so that the rest of the ✨very complicated✨ royal structure didn’t murder her over it and remained hidden for at least 20, 30 years before she mistakenly exposed herself and was immediately assassinated.

3) Many of them have both! My self-insert “Jedi” Omura has a branching polycule, and considers its siblings to be from its lineage mates (Shatterpoint) and those who trained under Kit Fisto, Dara Idella, and Agen Kolar.

4) Miz. Clone Lieutenant Miz LOVES hugs he literally thrives on hugs these are what fuel him to go on through his day please give Miz a hug

and i am a bit stupid. this is a continuation of this oc introduction post, tagged by the beloved @queen-breha-organa

i'll put most of it under the cut because hello. lots of pictures about to come in but i wanna cry about omura some more.

so for starters, i kinda forgot to mention that yes! omura is a togruta. a very funky one. imagine getting a power surge so strong during your knighting ceremony that your actual physical self is transformed.. because your earliest ancestor wants to apologize for possessing you and using your agency.

omura really is just. so very dear to me HELP

first off, we have a math class doodle i did of a young omura (about 13) confused as to wtf is going on. omura's markings and color completely changed after its knighting at age 17!

here we have @penguinkiwi ripping out my heart and soul with a piece done for the aftermath of kiwikipedia knightfall. ow. (it can also be found here on her page!!)

we have @arcjesse's works for councilor and healing master omura, because it can and will whack every problem to solve it!

as well as some casual robe designs (this is my fave color)

35. Do they believe in fate or do they believe they are in charge of their own destiny?

A balance of the two — Fate is shaped by the choices you make in your life. Its fate could either be as a proud Mandalorian warrior, or the Grand Inquisitor of the Empire. It all depends on what it chooses to do with its power :]

50. What is your favorite thing about them?

Omura is me, but a badass Mandalorian raised by some of the most badass Jedi in the history of the Order. It is so … good. And I love it SO much. So much of my brain and my good and my bad and my ugly and my pretty go into Omura and it helps my confidence hella to know that huh,,, I’m not all bad after all!!

1 - starting off with the one, the only, the gender-filled little windu itself.. OMURA VAAAAAANE Omura (using it/its pronouns) is my first self-insert I made for SW, and to be really honest.. it was just because I wanted Anakin to have at least one friend that wouldn't flake out, get killed, or otherwise disappear. It takes on a modified role of the Barsen'thor from Legends content - more specifically, The Old Republic. Modified because I gave the role more agency and flexibility than just being affiliated with the Jedi Order, but rather the Force as a whole. It acts as a Balancer. Omura itself has gone through a lot of changes between the different canons, but each time it comes out a little more mentally unstable I mean stronger. I did some posts on it, so skim #omura vane on my acc. Also I have forceblessed too, soon to be rife w content. Man I love Togrutas.

2 - Master Consular Jupso Onurimaa, because he hasn't suffered enough. He's a Mirialan Seer born in the later High Republic, and was given a prophecy detailing the tragedy that would befall the Order if Yoda was to become the Grandmaster and train four highly-powerful students. Each one of them would fall in some way, and in turn, the Order would be left crippled to the point of Dark manipulation. He left the Order for some twenty years and returned later to attempt to hold the Order together from the shadows, but was too late to make his own mark - his lineage suffered for it. But things, at least in my typical Cheeriverse canon, turn out okay in the end. He also gets revived by the Grim Reaper because she said he was too important to die. He's so tired.

3 - Hellir' Drovaddal, a Balosar Jedi Diplomat. He's a very good friend of Mace's and one of the top Diplomats in the Temple, often becoming a confidant as well. He also played with the Temple's band of musicians, on bass guitar. He becomes Obi-Wan Kenobi's Master after Qui-Gon is killed, and he's nothing short of a father to a young man who's been a Padawan for far too long and was given little say in his own path. Hellir' is extremely kind and understanding, a golden and patient soul who is always open to listening to every option before choosing the best path forward. That's why Mace trusted him with Kenobi, and Mace has yet to regret that choice every time he sees the younger Jedi blossoming and growing just a little more into his new role as a Jedi Ambassador. God, I love Hellir'.

4 - Somogyi, my most dearly beloved Crechemaster. She's Nelvaanian, and was entrusted to look after the Splintered Force creche (prophecy children) because she, despite not being extraordinary, was able to handle the antics of super-charged kids. She treated them like her own pups and raised them outside of their training. (It's also worth noting she actually has her own pups, who are roughly Anakin's age. The other crechemaster for their group, @keys-to-the-stars's Nelvaanian Judro, is her husband and the father of those pups. Fuck a no-attachment rule, we got PARENTS)

5 - Miz!!! Mizmizmizmizmiz. My other self-insert, my favorite punching bag, and a clone in need of about six consecutive naps. Miz is Clone Commander NCIS-1013, stationed on Coruscant as a head of a clone death-related criminal investigations team. He spent the vast majority of his life on Kamino under the thumb of a horrific researcher by the name of Teano Na, who sought to exploit his apparently overflowing compassion for his brothers in some rather unspeakable ways. I'm not saying it gets much better when he leaves Kamino, because I would be lying. But at least things change in a generally better trajectory. I just love this lil guy, he's so miserable but I love him :(

💋— What are their kisses like?

Goodness gracious Mikey, you can’t just ask the Warden of Order what its kisses are like without being offered a demonstration :giv_heart:

Omura’s kisses range from sweet little pecks over its loved one’s face to slow and Extremely Tender makeout sessions. And it is always, always, ALWAYS always always down to kiss over any exposed skin - be it neck, knuckle, even your fuckign elbow or something. If there is kissability? It will be kissed.

So many emotions about Omura kisses :notlikerift: nose kisses, cheek kisses, temple kisses, forehead kisses, jaw kisses, neck kisses, collar kisses, the back of your neck/spine, your knuckles, back of your hand, literally everything can and will be kissed.
