okay so i'm writing my first omegaverse fic, and im struggling so bad with what to give Jay as a scent. Like, im thinking film developer and something, just so it's linked to him being a little camera freak, but i have no idea what that 'and something' should be

i do like the idea of him having an 'unnatural' or at least partly unnatural scent though, its so fun. Alex is also gonna have 'film developer and something' as his scent so they can match, but it'd have to be a different something ughhhh

Working on the omegaverse again after days of just drawing

get ready for me to dump a stupid number of screenshots from my omegaverse 'research paper' over the next couple days lmao, I'm gonna be so annoying and i don't apologise even a little bit because I'm having SO much fun writing this shit lmao.

anyway first one is shit about heat/rut gear

you wanna know something super fun about all this? Some people can be born with their mating gland on the right hand side instead of the left, so they really struggle to find bite collars with the reinforcement on the right hand side, meaning they're more vulnerable to being mated when they don't want to.

also the "though not by law" bit has now been changed to "Though no longer by law" cos i really like the idea that in the past omegas and alphas (especially alphas) were required by law to wear heat/rut gear if they were going to be out in public in their preheat/heat or prerut/rut >:D I have this really fun idea of rich omegas in the past having like, beautiful chainmail bite collars, and then the normal people just had like, super thick, uncomfy and too hot leather ones.

Also scolds bridle type punishments for Alphas who went out without rut muzzles on, and like, tongue branding or canine teeth removal if they tried to mate someone while they were out without a muzzle (tho this mostly only happened if they tried to mate the mate of another alpha or a beta, like, "how dare you torch another mans property" type shit, not actual care about omegas)

Omegaverse fic is gonna be... Fairly dead dove whoops 💀 I just... Alex who can regenerate any and all injuries... And his true mate Jay who realises he doesn't ever have to buy meat again...

Also Alex has somehow turned into a misogynist (or whatever the equivalent is in the omegaverse, someone who thinks omegas are beneath them) who doesn't think he's a misogynist. He thinks he's god's gift to omegas, going around protecting them from alphas. Like buddy, you're just as bad as the alphas. He has such a superiority complex I don't know why (I do, it's cos he's special and one of a kind cos he's an enigma rather than an alpha beta or omega, and he let that go to his head)

Figuring out how fictional I want my omegaverse to be is so fun, like, do they have tails? Are they just normal humans with heats and ruts? How does mating work? How powerful do I wanna make alphas ability to command omegas? (As you can see from above, pretty powerful to completely force Jay not to use a gun if he has one, tho that could be because of Alex being a step above an alpha, I haven't decided yet)

Chapter 2 of Enigma is up, yayyyyy :D

This one is mostly just Alex alone, trapped in some room while his brain's still trying to grow back the bit that was shot out, also him forgetting the word horse (and like, a bunch of other words. Because. Shot in the head)

For anyone who doesn't know, this fic is dead dove: "Alex is an Enigma, a step above an alpha, able to scruff and command even the most domineering of Alpha’s. I have it that male omegas have both a penis (not functional) and a vagina, and that female alphas have a vagina (not functional) and a penis, so at birth you can't really tell what they're gonna be. So then I was like, "Hey why not make a gender neutral pronoun these kids are known by?" and I did it

also cos of this names just kinda don't have a gender and names are more likely to be passed down through families than to be based on sex. So like, seeing women named Brian and men named Mary would be totally normal >:]

This fucking omegaverse fic has me googling the areas of the brain and what they do, and how it'd affect someone if each area got damaged by something blunt and burning hot pierced into them at high speeds

Shooting alex in the head wasn't meant to require this much research!! but noooo i had to go and make him invulnerable so no matter the damage he has to live with it and feel it all heal up just for it alllllllll to happen again

im not super into omegaverse but I think he'd have the scent of like old photos. Or something that's been in the attic a really long time. Like it's almost nostalgic, but also bordering the line of unpleasant without bleeding over

I literally started writing it just as a way to, like, keep track of my own headcanons all in one place. Then it spiralled.

Super cool tho! At least I think so. There's art/diagrams, silly tables, different coloured texts, I had so much fun making it all and even learning the html was super fun, despite it taking so goddamn long lol. It goes into normal omegaverse things that everyone has kinda accepted as "canon" as well as holding some ideas that I've never seen anyone else do :D

Omegaverse mating stuff whoooooooooo. I've made up a good few imaginary illnesses for my omegaverse design. OOOOO i should find that bit that's about true mates and their pain sharing thing, and how that interacts with the way that chronic 'causeless' pain is treated by people!

I have so many weird little specific bits of information for this stupid omegaverse design. Do i need to know anything about the beauty standards of mating bonds? No. Will i ever write a fic about it? Probably not, but I know about it now lol.
