how to successfully report and remove your stolen fic on c.ai:

aka don't use fics for c.ai bots... a story of a c.ai creator who fucked around & found out:

for any other author who gets their shit stolen by ai bots on c.ai this is what you need to do:

create an c.ai account

submit a support ticket

choose DMCA & Counter Notice as the issue

under "additional information" you must provide the following: — a description of your fic that is being infringed (where you published it, date, where you post, under what names, etc) — a description of the bot that is infringing your work (include name of bot, what parts it is infringing and author's name at minimum). — a statement that you are the copyright holder have not authorized use of your property/fic in this manner nor given it to the author of the bot.

you will have to give your contact info including your full legal name, address and telephone number

provide the link to your original work (where you published it first) and the link to the bot.

Attachments (up to 5 allowed): — IMPORTANT: make sure at least one of these attachments is an electronic signature using your full legal name. i used this site to get one for free (i attached both signed and typed). — the other attachments I used to show proof of my fic vs their bot and the exact word for word similarities. and also when they blatantly said they were reuploading the bot on their profile which is likely why c.ai banned the rest of their bots.

extra tips:

if your ticket submission is successful you will get an email with a ticket number.

c.ai is pretty responsive (1-2 business days) so i would give it that long before submitting a new ticket.

you must submit EVERYTHING as I have wrote it or they will ask you to resubmit an entirely new ticket. following up with missing info did not work.

if the bot gets reuploaded you still have to submit an entirely new ticket (make sure to save and reference your old ticket number in new ticket).

Ohhhhhh, I hope this looks fine as a lil compressed pfp though I should've taken more time with his neck and clothes... Mweh.

Absolutely DO give feedback on the bot itself - this helps me to fix mistakes.

Moreover, I don't chat with the bots much, unless it's a testing process of some sort. Reading how you communicate with these fellas warms my heart. Screenshots are welcome. Enjoy!

was looking up pokemon on character ai to see the worst of anything Ive seen when I get PMD-E jumpscared.

same account pumped all these out, and they're low effort so I didn't bother interacting with them.

but then I got curious and typed the individual names of the characters and...

(I don't even know if this guy actually knows the lore.)

I'm just trying to figure out "why" would anyone make PMD-E bots. Who's the audience here? Everyone on C.AI is a teenager, so they for sure aren't going to know what the hell this old deviantart group is.

Is it for adults? Pretty sure all the adults that were in the original group have moved on to other stuff, or are stuck in the hell that is floraverse.

Is it for dedicated roleplayers? These characters have the bare minimum in their definitions, so they know jack shit about the lore their world takes place in.

Reminder that PMD-Explorers is barely known today, so no one is going out of there way to look for these characters as bots, nor would that be the first thing ANYONE would think of when going on this site. The only way you'd find these is if you did what I did and just search up their species and scrolled through the sea of depravity.

Oh, and if anyone was curious about floraverse...

Magazine criticised for exclusive Michael Schumacher interview generated by AI | Formula 1

A magazine has been criticised for publishing an article presented on its cover as a world exclusive interview with Michael Schumacher, which it later indicated was generated using artificial intelligence. The seven-times world champion has not been seen since he suffered a brain injury when he fell while skiing in December 2013. However German magazine ‘Die Aktuelle’ this week ran what it described as an “interview” with the 54-year-old. Its two-page spread titled “Mein Leben hat sich total verändert” (“My life has totally changed”) is promoted on its front page alongside a picture of Schumacher as “Das erste Interview” (“The first interview”) and “Welt-Sensation!” (“world sensation”). However in smaller type the magazine also indicates how the feature was produced: “Es klingt täuschend echt” (“it sounds deceptively real”). The piece is introduced as if it was a genuine interview: “Talk to him once. Ask him how he’s really doing. And finally got answers almost 10 years after his tragic skiing accident,” it begins. Report: Michael Schumacher’s family discuss his life after skiing crash in film “No meagre, nebulous half-sentences from friends. But answers from him! By Michael Schumacher, 54! Here it is — the incredible interview! With redeeming answers to the most burning questions that the whole world has been asking for so long.” The responses given to the questions – none of which are believed to have genuinely been spoken by Schumacher – refer to his injuries and the careers of his children Mick and Gina. The unbylined article concludes by hinting at the source of its material: “Did Michael Schumacher really say everything himself? The interview was online. On a page that has to do with artificial intelligence, or AI for short.” Elsewhere the website c.ai is referenced, which is the home of an artificial intelligence which mimics the responses of famous people. “There are actually internet sites where you can chat with celebrities,” the article notes. German media expert Boris Rosenkranz criticised the publication for the article and its presentation. “This story here is a particularly remarkable cheek, even for ‘Die Aktuelle’,” he wrote. “You can’t hide the calculation to give the readership the feeling that Michael Schumacher might be talking about his physical condition,” he added. Schumacher’s family has gone to great lengths to keep his condition private since his accident. In a 2021 documentary about the world champion his wife Corinna said: “We’re trying to carry on as a family the way Michael liked it and still does.
