#Okay SUE me for being a Dr. Hilbert lover

I'm thinking about Dr. Hilbert yet again and how he was like a mirror to Kepler and Kepler probably hated that about him. Dr. Hilbert being just middle management for Goddard and acknowledging this with apathetic acceptance versus Kepler always trying to seem like he knew the whole plan and was like twenty steps ahead and was always more in control than he was.

I wish we could have seen them play chess against each other. I truly think it would have been fascinating.

Kepler outright mocking Hilbert while Hilbert silently moves turn after turn. Kepler rapidly oscillates between 'going easy' on Hilbert and then checking him while Hilbert continues on, probably mumbling about how Kepler is far too obsessed with the showmanship of it all.

"Kepler, you care too much about appearing in charge. You do not pay attention to things right under your nose. Underestimating the opponent is the worst thing you can do. Trust me. I have learned the hard way."

"You didn't 'learn the hard way' Hilbert, you were simply outsmarted by an idiot. A testament to your uselessness in the face of real danger. Now stop talking and make your move."
