One thing I hope they do is add certain things from Crisis Core's canon to the FF7 remake. Like Zack and Tseng's close friendship. Will Tseng recognize Zack's sword? Will Cloud and Aerith learn Zack knew the Turks (and vice versa for the former)? Will Cissie show up? They don't need to do too much,but the potential is pretty enticing to consider.

oooH YEAH DEFINITLY. 

Like there’s a few things introduced in CC (and even in BC and in DOC) that I would like to see addressed? 

Tseng and Zack is one of my most important thing though because I love what they did with Tseng in CC for the most part, it still justified how he behaved in OG without recognizing Cloud (like how they carefully put Tseng in a situation he cannot exactly see Cloud when Cloud and Zack meet) and it would add so much dilema to him i want it. Besides I can totally see Tseng recognize Zack’s sword due to the events of CC so that would be intruiging.

Cissnei is one of the character I would at least like to have a CLOSURE about. She leaves Shinra at the end of CC and talks about telling Zack her real name and then... nothing? I think it’s implied Cissnei left Shinra for good? What have she been up to, how hard it is to leave the Turks? I mean while they’re at it, why not put the extended canon of BC about the Turks too? That would flesh them more out even if we just have the Four Disasters after us. 

I just want to know what happened of Cissnei, it’s really weird she just. disappeared.

Another character I would like at least a cameo of is Kunsel (you  unsung hero) and perhaps even Luxiere. They’re the two that would be the easiest to sneak into the story: the only two soldiers still alive whom we know were close to Zack to one extend. Kunsel who ended up mistrusting Shinra and dig into its secrets and seemingly leave it after what happened to Zack and how desperate he wanted to find Zack again? You can make him a cameo somewhere, idk perhaps in Junon, something, tell us about the one guy who refused to accept Zack’s death. Likewise Luxiere could make just a wink cameo in Shinra, litterally just name a NPC after him and i’ll be happy: the Soldier who used Zack as a way to prompt himself to the top, and upon learning Zack was alive was quick to try to “capture Zack for his promotion with Zack’s help”. Litterally just show me this asshole is in the Shinra building and i will yell out of vindication. 

Some elements i wonder if they will allude to are the Deep Grounds stuff. It takes the whole plot of DoC and i will... not pretend like I understand DoC, i’ve just watched a cutscene movie of it and was lost the whole time. But Deep Ground was built up in Before Crisis too, the secrets experiments Shinra had made, and CC makes a wink to it by having a mail by Reeve (yes, THIS REEVE) about how proud he was about the underground’s facility being created on his care. In CC it’s basically implied that Reeve was asked help to build deep ground without him to even know about it, as it was covered under his urban development ressources.

Considering Reeve is a main character of the OG, that he got major developments in the sequels about fixing Shinra’s mess, I would like those things to add up and flesh him out a bit. I’ve seen people mention his character is a bit of a twist character, just here for the betrayal and the change of heart at the last second, and just once perhaps you truly see him butt head with Barret about Avalanche’s means that killed innocent people. 

With how Reeve was then even more developped about how adamant he was to fix what Shinra had done (to the point of even being a POV character in one of the OAv), I really hope they kinda build on that?? even if they don’t solve Deep Ground, I think it would still allign both with Reeve and Vincent’s scrapped storyline in the OG and there are good foundations about that in CC to tell us it’s happening. 

Others CC’s canon i would like to see mentioned: The Previous Avalanche that we see in CC, since they were apparently far more extreme until Barret arrived. That would also give us more material on how much Barret actually reformed Avalanche too. (god give also more screentime to Barret, after the Dyne stuff he gets less and less of those). 

While we’re at it, the consequences of the Wutai war! i’m still so angry that those were relegated to sidequests in CC that are hard to unlock, while it’s the whole thing that gets Zack to think of himself as a monster for following Shinra blindly (which is what the “Soldier is a den of monster” should have been about, not about Genesis/Angeal stuff). While we’re at it, bring up the fact Yuffie knows Zack in some way then. The three girls hold Zack knowledge power are you kidding me if they wink at it I WILL cry. 

Not to mention CC opens with a huge mention of a Soldier rebellion (that was. scrapped almost immediatly by having them all becoming Genesis’s copies and Genesis being the main antagonist and dropping this plot). while it’s 5 years before the story so still far enough for it not to affect the OG so much, I would love if it’s mentioned even quickly. 

What else... Y’know what I would love to at least as a wink see the Silver Elite again, Sephiroth’s fanclub. Because it’s goddamn hilarious and I want to see Cloud’s face upon hearing about a Sephiroth fanclub probably-probably not managed by Hojo. (and if they really want to murder me mention the fact Zack died with an immense fanclub after him RIP).

Oh and considering they created new area in CC, I would love to have Banora on a map. Like. Knowing where the hell it is. Even if it’s just walking through its ruins or something I just want to locate it. 

Basically I would pretty much like things that had been relegated to the background of CC to get a little more focus in general.

So yeah I. try to keep my hope in check but that’s basically a wishlist if you will have it ahah.
