Zuko has a catopus (cat-octopus) in one of Muffinlance's fics called Sushi and I love her.

She can blend in with her surroundings and likes to terrorize Sokka because of her many tentacles but then Zuko comes along and just cradles her like a baby lol.

Love the head cannon that the more dangerous or disliked the animal, the more likely Zuko is to adopt it.

"... Is that a bat-spider nephew?"

"Her name is Flappy ♡"

Zuko sees an animal and it is adoption on SIGHT!

He only became Aang's friend to

1. Pet Momo.

2. Have bison cuddles.

3. Save the world, I guess. (Not as important as the first two.)

And animals love him. It is a running joke that they adopt him as much as he adopts them.

He and Momo become best friends because Zuko is warm and is also notoriously bad at saying no so gives Momo food all of the time lol.

Momo is usually wrapped around his shoulders when walking, in his lap whilst sitting and on his chest when sleeping. (A bit like a weighted blanket to keep the nightmares away.)

Zuzu just be somft for animals.

I love Sushi, and pretty much everything muffinlance, but especially Sushi. Zuko and animals is my favourite thing ever and I need so much more of it. Zuko adopts/gets adopted by a sabre tooth moose lion and is one of the cutest and funniest things ever

Zuko own an assortment of animals that he keeps in separate parts in the Palace, he even converted the old war room into a Phoenix Roost Room since the heat was perfect for her

Zuko has a Badgerfrog named Froggy, a dragon Durk, an Armadillobear named Rolly, Boar-Q-Pine named Spiky, A flock of Turtleducks, a Eelhound named Slither, a Komodo Rhino named Komodo, a Sabretooth Moose Lion named Fluffy, a Lion vulture named Talon, a Canyon crawler named Berry, a Puma goat named Cuddles, a  Viper bat named Viper, a Wolfbat named Brute, and a Phoenix named Senshi since Iroh refused to let his nephew name a phoenix “Sunny”

Sokka complained about how Aang let this happen after letting Zuko keep Froggy and he is the first attack by Zuko’s menacing pets when the Firelord’s back is turned

Zuko often gets help from his pets on adventures, like Antivenom from viper or looking for missing people with Berry

The Badgerfrog followed Zuko since the Airtemple and he decided to keep him

Druk was the egg Zuko touched and hatched and followed back to the palace before being attacked by the Turtleducks and saved by Zuko

Rolly was rescued by Zuko, who made it his mission to stop poachers, the same with Fluffy, Cuddles and Viper

Slither was a gift from a grateful Farmer who Zuko and Team Avatar helped save his farm from the massive forest fire during a storm

Komodo has been Zuko’s faithful pet since Zuko started hunting the Avatar

Fluffy was founded as a cub when his mom died from birth

The Turtleducks returned to the garden after Zuko became Firelord and restored the garden to life and were grateful to Zuko

Talon was rescued from an abusive circus and Zuko offered money to buy the creature and intended to set free, but Talon refused to go

Brute was injured when Zuko found him and nursed it back to health

Spiky confused Zuko as his mother and refused to leave him

Berry join Zuko after Zuko in the canyon during his travels in the Earth Kingdom as Firelord gave him a small handful of berries

Senshi’s egg was found in the garden near the pound by the Turtleducks, but being abnormal from the other eggs, Zuko decided to bring it inside and nurse it until it hatched, thus Senshi developing a bond with Zuko

Zuko and his mother, stepfather and half-sister decided to take a small Vacation on Ember Island for five days

Zuko decided to hire a pet sitter while he was away because the servants refused and begged Zuko not assign them to those animals

Though Zuko, Kiyi, and Ursa never had any problems with Zuko’s pets, everyone else in or visited the palace knew how deadly they are

Zuko keeps some of his pets separate since some of them do not get alone, due to possessiveness and jealousy

Zuko Keeps a big book on the proper way to take care of every one of his pets, and had their rooms designed to fit their needs

The servants fear his pets but the most terrifying are the Turtleducks as the were ferociousness and intelligent, proof when one of the guards messed with him and lost his helmet, he found it in the garden and when he bent down to pick it up, he was ambushed by them, the guard never messed with animals again after that and refused to enter the garden

Aang tried to make friends with Zuko’s pets, but failed with the Turtleducks, Berry, and Viper

A playwrite wrote plays about the relationship of each one of Zuko’s pets with the Fire Lord based on rumor and his own speculation on how Zuko met them and made a fortune

Team Avatar with the Kyoshi Warriors, Mai and the Boulder offered to look after them while the Royal Family would be going on vacation

Ursa’s side of the family is known for being bad at naming things, which is why she didn’t have a say in naming her kids, due to her picking really bad names

Ursa wanted to name Zuko “Flame”, Azula “Sunshine”, and Kiyi “Momo”

and I couldn’t remember any, but I had the time tonight so I was like, why not?
