Sharad purnima lalan svarup shringar | शरद पूनम | શરદ પૂનમ - 16th Oct 2024
Excellent demo of how to do shringar in Pushti seva. Interesting to note, she also makes the same type of 2 cut vastra as me :) Its obviously created from experimentation on how to keep Lalan warm during the cold weather :) Excellent view of the string at the back of the gadi to hold malas. You can't do heavy shringar on the gadiji without it! Covering the strings at the back with an odhani or a pitamber is a must :) Only thing is, I use bluetac instead of the black lagau / mina because it is less messy and doesn't damage the vastra and shringar like lagau / mina does. Excellent use of camera at the front and back to give you a full view of how to do seva.

Uttarakhand Traditional Jewellery – The Charm of Pahari Women
Tumblr media
When travelling in the mountains of Uttarakhand, one view that often catches the sight apart from the majestic landscape is the jewellery of Uttarakhand. Hailed as Dev Bhoomi (Land of Gods), this northern state of India is blessed with multiculturalism that often acts as a driving force behind the rising tourist count. For women, the state of Uttarakhand holds a distinct emotion because of the intricate pieces of jewellery it offers. The rich mythology and beautiful surroundings of this hill city are often exhibited through its perfectly carved gold and silver jewellery. This blog will throw light on the particularity of Uttarakhand jewellery pieces, and how Battulaal Jewellery is the one-stop place for you to buy.
The Uniqueness of Uttarakhand Jewellery
Pahadi women are extremely beautiful, and their choice of jewellery adds to their charisma. They are quite fond of wearing jewellery, and you will often see them effortlessly carrying a Nath or a Hansuli. Pahadi women often pick from the myriad collections of Uttarakhand jewellery online, especially from jewellers like Battulaal. These pieces instantly add to their grace and exude a refined look that Pahadi women are often praised for.
What truly makes Uttarakhand jewellery stand out from the others is its ingrained traditions and culture. Pahadi women, when drape their sari in their unique ‘Pichora’ style paired with a vibrant and embellished blouse, cover their head with a ‘chadar’ or ‘odhani’, and put on that Maangtika and Nath, exhibit sheer beauty. Most of Uttarakhand's jewellery is adorned with precious stones or pearls. Women are found totally decked up during auspicious occasions like weddings or religious celebrations. They are mostly noticed wearing -
Multiple bangles made of gold or silver having detailed designs,
Maang Tikka covering their head,
Hansuli is a broad neckpiece comprising expensive precious or semi-precious stones. This sleek design is worn close to their neck and is regarded as a symbol of beauty and grace.
Pahunchi is a remarkable bracelet studded with precious or semi-precious stones. It is tied with a thread-like structure and is a symbol of elegance.
Mangalsutra is the most dignified piece of Uttarakhand jewellery among married women. A Mangasutra is the emblem of serendipity, prosperity, and a happy life. This piece is made of gold or black beads and worn with a pendant.
The intricate designs of Uttarakhand's jewellery, which have been handed down through the years, are a reflection of the rich traditions of the area. Every artwork tells a story of exquisite craftsmanship and showcases the creative abilities of regional craftspeople. The natural splendour of the area is a common inspiration for the jewellery, which features motifs of celestial elements, flora, and animals.
Uttarakhand jewellery is known for its intricate designs. The artists create pieces that are more than just accessories—they are works of art—by paying close attention to every little detail. Every component, from the colourful use of semi-precious stones to the intricate filigree work, adds to the distinctive charm of Pahadi jewellery.
Intricacies Found in Uttarakhand Jewellery Online
For the people of Uttarakhand, the pieces of jewellery are not simply ornaments to embellish with. Every piece of jewellery has stories weaved in it. And, Battulaal Jewellery, being a noted Kumaoni jeweller, offers some of the most painstakingly crafted pieces by our local craftsmen. With a long history of crafting Kumaoni jewellery, the founders of Battulaal Jewellery are well-versed in the designs and never fail to add a twist. The jewellery speaks of the history and the changes that the people of Uttarakhand have experienced throughout their lives.
Nature is a prominent element in every other Uttarakhand piece of jewellery. The ancient people always carved leaves, twigs, flowers, and vines in their creations. This paved the path for mesmerizing natural jewellery being adorned by the Kumaoni women. There are different regions of the state of Uttarakhand, and in the pieces of jewellery, you will see an amalgamation of it all. This is the reason, why whenever you check out Battulaal Jeweller’s website, you notice myriad designs - almost making you perplexed.
One thing that stays constant when it comes to Uttarakhand jewellery is its evergreen appeal. No matter the rising shift towards contemporary jewellery, traditional Kumaoni jewellery will always find itself topping the list of Pahadi women. In fact, Pahadi women take pride in their incredible culture and embellishing this Uttarakhand jewellery is a sign of it.
And, speaking of buying Uttarakhand jewellery online, you should certainly consider Battualaal Jewellers for some exceptionally good collection. Not only they have kept the heritage and craft alive with their sweeping craftsmanship but also offer fantastic offers like 30-day returns, fast shipping, lifetime exchange, and best of all, certified jewellery.

Heavy anarkali suits for weddings in a variety of styles. They pique your interest by giving you the appearance you want.
What To Consider While selecting Anarkali Suits
We must first understand the history of this fashion accessory before continuing. Women in the Middle East were initially known to like anarkali outfits before spreading to the Indian Subcontinent. These garments were in great demand throughout the Mughal era, and they continue to captivate people's attention now. This outfit, which was once distinguished by a floor-length pleated suit and a tight salwar (now known as leggings), has undergone several changes over the ages, but its fundamental structure has not changed.
1. Fabric
To fit various events, different fabrics were used to create this lovely gown. The fabrics used to make anarkali suits include silk, satin, cotton, georgette, and even net. For wedding attire, heavy Anarkali outfits are often composed of silk with glitter borders. With the emphasis on the upper body, where the most of the embroidered work is done, they are extensively pleated. Despite the fact that cotton-made Anarkalis have revolutionised fashion, the silk or satin fabric's elaborate embroidery is always what gives Indian heavy anarkali suits for wedding
2. Types Of Anarkali Suits
Designer Anarkali Suits are elegant suits that are meticulously made with a style that is ideal for wearing to weddings. These bulky Anarkali outfits for weddings come in a variety of designs; among the most well-known are the Anarkali dresses, which exude charm via their variety of shapes and embellishments like laces and sequins. Fashionista models adore the asymmetrical anarkali suits that are the modern spin on this outfit and wear them to show off this stylish appearance. Some of our collection at Matsya World Includes:
Raatri Anarkali With Dhara Dupatta
Tumblr media
Kurta with a royal neckline, broad sleeves, heavy patterns on the hem, and delicate embroidery in resham thread and sequins. The front yoke and neckline of the flared kurta are exquisite. matched with a deep crimson organza dupatta that contrasts with the trousers and has tassels falling from the corners. A seductive monotone potli rounds off the set. Even more entrenched and private are the clothes from the resurrection collection.
The Riwaaz Anarkali with The Kiyari Odhani
Tumblr media
The Riwaaz anarkali in pink features a front yoke with a keyhole on the neckline and is a classic flared kurta with beautiful filigree embroidery on the neck and sleeves.
On the kalis, sequins, and motiya pittan hem of the silhouette are intricate hand stitched designs. Comfortable straight palazzo trousers and a blue organza kiyari odhani serve to complete the ensemble. The fabric is chanderi silk, a smooth and opulent material.
The Gulali Kota Anarkali Set
Tumblr media
The Gulali Kota Anarkali Set consists of a short, muted grey Anarkali with a heavily embroidered front bodice that displays stunning garland hand embroidery. Notch-v neckline and delicately embroidered quarter sleeves are part of the design. The mysterious shape was influenced by a mash-up of old crafts like resham ari, hand appliqués, and zardozi. "The Humble Tales of Alwar" is a reminiscence of an evolving narrative.
3. Accessorising
Statement jewellery, such as oxidised jhumkas for an ethnic style or pearl earrings for a refined look, can be used to complement these heavy anarkali suits for wedding outfits. Even a nose ring or nathni can be worn with this hairstyle.
4. Creating A Masterpiece
The bridal anarkali beautifully combines traditional artwork and techniques to create a garment that evokes the spirit of Indian heritage and culture. In these stunning wedding Anarkalis, the zardozi and dabka work, which come from the Persian and Rajput dynasties, respectively, are carved by the artists who maintain the Indian tradition and give it a new character.
Conclusion
The most beautiful day of the bride's life is undoubtedly her wedding day, but let's face it, weddings may be stressful due to caterers being late, last-minute checks, several occasions, a lot of faces to remember, and dance rehearsal for sangeet.
And to make it even more memorable, Matsya World provides you with the gift of lovely clothing that, when worn by you, becomes incredibly attractive and unique. Numerous clients like their bridal Anarkali suit assortment because it is created with a number of factors in consideration. It truly is a one-stop shop for all of your wedding dress needs.

Importance Of Proper Dance Costumes
The classical dance form is an art of grace and presentation. Yes, it’s a beautiful rather soulful traditional style of dance. The little elements that make it more attractive are the costumes, makeup and sublime accessories. Apart from expressions, these are valuable assets to incorporate a perfect performance. Imagine attempting a Bihu dance without a Mekhela chador. Isn’t that inappropriate and will look kind of dull?
Therefore, dance practice outfits are appropriate whenever we opt for classical or traditional dance styles. Moreover, these dance outfits not only describe the dance style but also show the origin.
Let’s look at some of the classical dance forms along with the appropriate attire.
Kathakali
Kathakali is a beautiful art form of Kerala which is composed of elaborate costumes. It’s so huge that it requires hours to get ready before a performance. All these vibrant costumes and prominent makeup make this dance form popular among every age group, especially kids. The dancers portray the color that represents the types of characters. The color code is green on the face along with the red color lip which is the depiction of the Gods, nobles, and sages like Rama, Shiva, Krishna and many more. So basically there are color codes that depict the character whether you are a God or Demon.
Tumblr media
Kathak
This dance form is mostly in the regions of Jaipur, Banaras and Lucknow. Both Muslims and Hindus practice this dance style with their unique attire. Hindu dancers wear a long skirt that reaches the ankles or wear a sari. The saree thing is enclosed around the waist and the end parts keep hanging down on the left side. For the upper body, the blouse is draped nicely along with the tika on the forehead along with the odhni in some cases. There is also customized jewelry for the neck, nose and ears that make the dancer look perfect. As for the skirt thing, it’s pretty lightweight and keeps twirling during the dance movements. As for the upper body, a contrast color blouse and for the head, a transparent color scarf is used. Isn’t this the perfect dance practice outfit?
Now coming to the Muslim dancers, the classical dance costume includes a long skirt along with the close-fitting churidar. There are times when an overcoat is worn for the hands and a scarf or odhani is a must.
Male dancers drape their waist with a silk dhoti and a silk scarf tied up on the top.
Bharatnatyam
This famous dance form is practiced mostly in the southern part of India. Bharatnatyam is considered one of the leading dance styles across India. The attire style has been given quite a lot of thought and has been made on the lines of Tamil Nadu brides with a colorful pleated saree. A belt is also wrapped around them and has been used as an eye catchy accessory which compliments the whole attire. There are jewelleries as well for the nose, ears, head and neck. Hairs are tied with beautiful gazra and the look stands out to be exceptionally alluring. Not just this, the hands and legs are painted with red kumkum so that whenever there are finger movements or leg movements, they look more prominent and every posture looks perfect, especially to the audience. Not to mention, the ghungroos already make the entire performance happen gracefully.
For the male dancers, the costumes are quite attractive as well. Rich, skilled embroidered dhotis are worn and the upper body is bare.
Well, different dance forms have different and unique ways of expressing themselves. Naturally, the dance practice outfits will be unique as well. It’s an art and the attire is no less than art as well. It’s like a treat to everyone’s eyes. Costumes have to be the most striking way of expressing themselves to provide a strong sense of the culture that belonged to them.
If you are looking to make accessories for costumes, you don’t have to worry anymore. We provide every type of classical attire and jewelry you need.
