I need everyone to understand how FREAKING AWESOME IT IS TO SEE THEM ON A PIRATE SHIP LIKE YASSS

Ok things I noticed:

I need this as my home screen like asap AHDJSJS also notice how the pictures are not the usual octonauts style, but actually the above and beyond art style :OO it’s interesting cause the first two were in the traditional og style for seasons 1-4, but the last two have been above and beyond 🤔maybe conflicts with meomi? Intriguing, I say using my Inkling voice🧐

-On the topic of Inky, kinda sad he don’t got a big part in the show yet :C It seems like every episode has been very team-central, all of em in gups working together. I don’t mind it though, it’s a nice transition from LITERALLY JUST KWAZII PESO AND BARNACLES EVERY GAH DAMN EPISODE in season 1-4 then to literally anyone else in above and beyond LMAO

-BUT SLAY THE DAY AWAY SHELLINGTON OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED FOR MORE SCREEN TIME LETS GOOOOO 🥳Driving arc? Slay. The last episode with the whales? Slay. Just being his knowledgeable self and bestest shelly boi ever? Triple slay.

SEASON 5 OCTONAUTS SPOILERS AHEAD (SORTA)

So I found Season 5’s Creature Report (it’s only in Chinese rn) and it’s mostly different to the one in Season 1 to 4,

But I would like to point out something and compare them both with a certain scene.

As seen here we all know how Captain Barnacles asks Kwazii to activate the Creature Report and Kwazii does his little flip thing over to the button.

Well- look at the Season 5 Version of it.

This time Captain Barnacles asks Min to do it because she shows up for the Season 5 Creature Reports, but look at how she goes to press the button-

Min does that flip Kwazii does to press the button.

I actually find that funny and sad that Min just came in and took Kwazii’s role in pressing the button and took his flip he does to press it.

She’s stealing everything from him lmao.

Min: Hippity hoppity, your iconic move is now my property!

Kwazii: D:

I bet he may smile in this, but deep inside he’s just depressed that he longer can press the button and do his flip.

There has been a season 5 spoiler shown in the Ring of Fire octonauts movie.

The Gup-R was supposed to be a Gup debuting in season 5, but yet during a seen in which Kwazii asked if they could use a Gup to escape the octo repair station, it showed this.

s5 e2 (blue whale rescue) and e3 (whales of mystery) thoughts (SPOILERS below cut ofc)

e2:

*thinks about Kwazii* *sobs uncontrollably*

"Tweak?" "Hey Cap'!" "Looks like you've been busy! :)" *sobs even more because I love their friendship*–

When Peso called out to Kwazii as he was falling, Barnacles looked up and around. He didn't see Kwazii jump. thinking about this a normal amount.

"Are they.... gone..? 😰" OH MY GOD??

not to be angsty but like. if Kwazii were to ever die it probably would be while saving or protecting someone else. just saying.

"my friends" "my mates" *sob sob,,,,*

...does the Octonauts helping herd krill for Wendell to eat..... count as them hunting?? like. Shellington flat out referred to them as Creatures™, while showing a picture of one that had eyes and was smiling. like hello??

Shellington I love thee. he is just like me fr this ep. big autism moment. dude was jumping for joy (stimming prove me wrong) and I love that for him.

"he means the launch bay—" "yes the launch whale!!" *sobs again* their friendship is so lovely too,,,, (also this whole scene reminded me a lot of the Immortal Jellyfish lol)

LOVE how Peso doesn't even say goodbye, or wait for Barnacles to give him the go-ahead to get in the GUP-E and leave. he's just gone. I'm thinking about the first time he went down to the midnight zone by himself in the Vampire Squid, and how terrified he was. now look at him—he's come so far 🥹

if I had a nickel for each time Peso fixed a whale's tail this season, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's already happened twice so far in only three episodes.

final thought is that I really like Dashi in this episode; the way she takes charge of the mission and gives the others orders ("headlights off/on!") makes me think of her leadership role in Above and Beyond, and makes it feel like a less random decision. I hope the following episodes will give us more of this.

Ok so things I noticed:

-Shellington saying “no worse for wear” HELP adorable ✨

-This had me CRYING CAPN WHAT WHY 😭💀😭💀

-The bluefin tuna remind me of the siblings from Ponyo AKNDJSJSND terrifying💀

-Kwazii was so salty in this episode I kinda loved it, I adore Tweak and Kwazii competitive banter cause they give me sibling vibes I love their dynamic sm💙 I think Kwazii had a right to be salty cause of emotional attachment to the Gup B, she (pretty sure Kwazii called her, “she”) has literally been with him forevsies since joining the octonauts and is probably like a rly important outlet for his energy, painted the teeth on himself, something special just for him to go zoom in, now Gup R is here tryna take that place🤨🤨🤨 And Gup B solos Gup R any day of the week💅💅💅✨✨✨ Also love that calico jack and Kwazii both thought to call it “Gup arrrrr” haha same braincell moment

-Also can we talk about how fatherly and praising shells was about the vegimals in this episode??? Like YAY but so random XD they had like 3 scenes and two of em Shellington introduced them by saying “Tunips wayyy ahead of you captain!” like it’s so out of character??? but I love it at the same time like yes worlds best dad beside barnacles but like ??? Ok dude XD

-Also Barnacles was so surprised when Tunip was waiting outside the door with the fish biscuits just as he was asking, almost like he didn’t expect they could anticipate needs before he took command. I dunno, I think this season is definitely leading up to their more independent and grown roles in above and beyond, and Shellington knows they are maturing. BUT THANK THE PIRATE KING THEIR VOICES ARE STILL NORMAL AND NOT PUBERTY 💀💀💀

-Hehe Tina the Tuna og Ryguyrocky daycare fans will get that one💀💀💀 #rockarmy4life ok I’m done JSKSK-

-On the subject of Tuna WHO IS FISHING??? I BEG THY PARDON?!?! TINA BARELY ESCAPED?!? CIVILIZATION LORE LETS GOOO!!! Also I agree with Tina a “hook-ectomy” sounds fkin horrifying😭💀

-Kwazii and Shellington struggling to rig up a hose is so real💀

obligatory "I want a Tweak and Barnacles solo episode" comment. I love them SO much but I talk about wanting this a lot already— 🤣 the bffs ever <3

Tweak and SHELLINGTON because we have never seen them really bonding, y'know?? like we know they're friends because they're all friends, and they've had a couple quick moments that implies their friendship. but they've never actually had their own full episode together and I think it could be interesting if they did.

BARNACLES and Shellington. the peak autism duo. Barnacles and Shellington have a very fun relationship dynamic, because on one hand Barnacles would trust any member of his crew with his life and that INCLUDES Shellington; but on the other hand Shellington is very. Accident Prone™. and Barnacles is a bit more protective over him than the others at times. I'd love to see an episode that shows both that over-protectiveness, and that unwavering trust.

Peso and Pinto would be very good yes 👀 but may I raise you: Shellington and Peri? no Pearl. just goofy uncle and nephew shenanigans for 11 minutes. he babysat him off-screen in The Pink Glacier and I want to see him do it ✨ onscreen ✨

season 5 spoilers but I'd really love for the beaver family to come back one day. they were so neat and I wanna see what became of the kid.

The Coconut Crabs. I need to see Calico Jack reunite with them So Bad 👁️👁️

last but not least: we've never actually met them as real characters in the show but I really want to meet new pirates. have them be tied to Calico Jack's past/arc somehow. give us a glimpse at what a truly "mean and scary" pirate looks like. let Kwazii have an identity crisis. there's been several pirates named throughout the series, like Whitebeard, "The Pirate King", or (s5 spoilers again) the guy CJ stole his golden yarn from. (spoilers end) I think having one of em randomly show up in the flesh one day just to torment reconnect with CJ would be wonderful 👀
