A delightfully accurate depiction of Palpatophora glyphodorsalis from Another Crab's Treasure (2024), making this the third video game I've seen to feature an occlupanid.

Ah, no, not mine, I wouldn’t pin my own kind up on a board.
It’s taken from the HORG website!

opinion on occlupanidae and occlupanology?
Isn’t this the bread tag thing? I understand and relate to having an interest that to the rest of the world seems incredibly strange and niche. I don’t know why you’re asking me though. I’m a sturgeon blog.

Hello to the four or five of you on occlupanid Tumblr. I'm getting married in like 43 hours ahaha but suddenly I feel like taking a breather and showing you the merch I had imported from Kwik Lok's booth at a Japanese Homecenter convention.

This is from the HORG website, and I love this. If any of you listened to this mini and wondered why people might collect bread tags, remember that the Occlupanids include more than just them! This image shows the HORG proposed fictional classification for the various types of these things. We've all known someone who collects something in this category of stuff. I used to really like those little cocktail swords, but lots of people know bottle cap and rubber band collectors.

Hello, I feel it's very important you know that, amongst the occlupanology community (bread tag scientific classifiers) a new species of Occlupanid has been discovered called Exomiphora Rotacobalus or "vest wearing wheel goblin." it is a mischievous little creature with a fondness for automobiles and popping out of them, and therefore I thought you may agree that it is a fine name for the little mischief maker
(you can find it on the HORG website, under its scientific name)
I'll be honest, I'd had a couple drinks with friends when I initially read this message last night and was more than a little confused
rereading it this morning, my eyes are now open to a whole new niche interest. this is like when I first discovered the SCP Foundation
anyway, to actually respond to you: it was extremely important that I know about this. maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to spot my own Exomiphora Rotacobalus!

The HORG website had this cool four part image about the new efforts to make recyclable bread tags. M talks about this in the episode, but I wanted to show off these guys as I think they are an awesome step forward into a more sustainable future. Previously, they were all made of plastic and had been swallowed and harmed some people, which M addresses in the episode, and the cardboard is just better for the environment.
To hear M talk about all these issues on the podcast, click the link below to get the resources and the full episode.
