Well look who's got a final design? Ignore the eye practice, This started off as Art style practice and turned into Reese's final design (Not the hair though I may change that as an excuse she dyes her hair a lot)

The tattoos are actually a Cherri Bomb reference! I think the two are similar in a way and Cherri was a bit of an inspiration for Reese

(I never showed it but Reese actually has homemade paint bombs that she would have used in the fight scene during the pilot)

The bubble letters are something she did, She goes around town spray painting the walls and running some people's outfits by spray painting them

(She did it to Tre and Maroon. They don't know it was her because she wore a mask-)

That jacket is not hers. She stole it from somebody

What if Link and Zelda were sci-fi sky pirates? 👀

TADA! Bet y’all have been wondering what I’ve been working on for uni. Surprise it’s Zelda character design except I decided to torture myself with hard surface design :)

This was actually my first time designing weapons and working in a more sci-fi style was super fun! I took a lot of inspiration from Star Wars and Treasure Planet for the weapons and hard surfaces while still trying to make the characters look like Link and Zelda lol.

The general premise for this “what if” Hyrule is that most of the kingdom is made up of floating islands above the clouds with people travelling between islands via flying ship (as in old sailing ships but with wings)! I have some ideas for Link and Zelda's lore but will probably flesh that out in my own time because I’m tired-

Song for August: Neon Knights by Black Sabbath

~~~ I got really into the sword & sorcery vibes lately so I decided that I wanted to paint August Lubi in the style of 70s pulp fantasy covers. Main inspiration for this was Michael Whelan (I pretty much directly referenced his green Elric cover for the raised arm)

This was challenging, but also incredibly fun! It was refreshing to work in such different way from my usual process! <:
