I think part of why I love giving obito back to kid kakashi is like. In canon, just as he had the chance to begin healing and becoming his weirdo self, he lost obito, which was just the start of him losing his entire team/family and became a robotic shell of himself.

If he’d gotten obito back before all the rest of that? You better believe (it) he would’ve been living his best weirdo life, behaving (to obito) unexplainably and slightly dementedly. A little freak, sitting outside obito’s window at night like a scorned dog who got a lick of affection and has now imprinted on obito.

#and THAT is why I wrote Kinesthetic #well one of many reasons actually but this is CERTAINLY up there #idk how many fics I've written that are Just 'what if young kakashi got obito back' but I'm sure it is Many.#like. my last 3 naruto fics are literally just that #this was spawned by reading through my WIPs for the Three Pupils and a Yellow Iris series (the 'Synchronisms' universe)#which NO I have not forgotten about #nurt #kakaobi #kakashi #naruto #tobito #hatake kakashi #obikaka #uchiha obito #kid kakashi
