Young-hwi Kim is still lying to members. This is from 2013.
“The Third Test: To inherit Jesus’ mission The third test course was for Father to succeed the mission of Jesus. Where did Jesus finish his life? He finished his life on top of the cross. Therefore, Father had to go to the cross. Where was that? A place worse to endure than a cross... Father went, worked and suffered in the Heungnam labor camp...
Not only that, he received three citations for being a model prisoner and model laborer. Even though it was Satan’s work, he did his best in doing his duty. ...
In 1950, when United Nations forces went up to North Korea, they first went to Heungnam. Thus on October 14, the day Father was to be executed, Father was, instead, released.” Young-hwi Kim - November 9, 2013, Los Angeles LINK
Los Angeles Times September 3, 2012 “Moon … problems with the North Korean government, which jailed him [in 1948] on charges of bigamy … He was freed in 1950. Moon’s first marriage, to Choe Sung-kil, ended in divorce in 1957. He had a son with her and another with Kim Myung-hee, who lived with Moon during the 1950s. In 1960 he married Han, then a young disciple.”
Young-hwi Kim left out inconvenient facts and lied:
1. The Third Test: To inherit Jesus’ mission. Did Young-hwi Kim explain that “Father” Moon was sent to Heungnam for adultery and bigamy? Would Jesus have wanted to pass on his mission to a person like Moon?
2. “Father received three citations for being a model prisoner.” Pak Chong-hwa was in the Heungnam labor camp with Moon. In a 68 minute recorded audio interview (in Japanese) Pak talks extensively about his time with Moon in Heungnam. Pak said Moon behaved just like any ordinary prisoner. He never got any awards from the labor camp authorities. That just did not happen.
3. UN troops did not reach Heungnam until October 18th (see the CIA report below). Moon was not released by UN troops on October 14th.
4. Some political prisoners may have been executed. Moon was not a political prisoner. He was in jail for adultery and bigamy. As a non-political prisoner, Moon was not listed to be executed. Other prisoners were called by number or name, but not Moon.
The “nearly executed” makes a dramatic tale for Young-hwi Kim and other church leaders to tell members. That is not what happened.
Annie Choi (Soon-wha Choi, the mother of Sam Park) is standing beside Moon. She is wearing black gloves. Young-hwi Kim is directly behind her. This photograph was taken in Seoul in 1964 at around the time Moon had a secret wedding ceremony with Annie Choi at the Chongpa Dong church. Moon was already married to Hak Ja Han who is holding Hyo Jin in this photo. Ye Jin is standing in front of her father.
Young-hwi Kim knew all about Moon’s 1964 bigamous marriage, and no doubt he knew about Moon’s bigamy in North Korea in 1947-48.
Young-hwi Kim has been deceiving Unification Church / Family Federation for World Peace members and the public since the 1960s.
Did Moon get the first three husbands (which included Young-hwi Kim) to have pikareum sex with Hak Ja Han as a condition for the 1960 “Marriage Supper of the Lamb”?
Professor Kim In-Soo: “Sun Myung Moon performed a forced wedding ceremony with X X Kim [Chong-hwa Kim], who was already married. Kim’s husband reported this to the police.” History of Christianity in Korea (2011) page 499
Moon’s own words: “…they decided to report me to the authorities. This is how I came to be jailed for a third time in my life. This occurred at 10:00 AM on February 22, 1948.”
Moon explains some more: (Kim Chong-hwa is the only person who fits this description): “There was a woman who was an important figure in the providence [in Pyongyang]. I visited her house for a year and a half and witnessed to her husband and all the other members of her family. The husband might have wanted to kill me, but he couldn’t do anything.”
SUN MYUNG MOON, the early years – 1920 to 1953 by Michael Breen (Breen must have known about Moon’s bigamy with Kim Chong-hwa...)
page 72 Kim Chong-hwa … she would become his main follower in North Korea.
page 81 In January, 1947, he [Moon] moved to the house of Kim Chong-hwa and her husband, Chong Myong-sun, who had become the leading members of his small group.
pages 86-88 By early 1948, his followers say, the Communist authorities had received some 80 complaints that Moon was swindling Christians, breaking up families and committing adultery. …
... a special day for Heaven... [a wedding was planned – the ‘Marriage Supper of the Lamb’?]
[Kim Chong-hwa’s husband, Chong Myong-sun, reported Moon to the authorities when Moon was about to marry his wife, Kim Chong-hwa, on Sunday, February 22, 1948.]
The followers said the police had come about two hours before the Sunday service was due to start. Kim Chong-hwa and …. were arrested at the same time.
The trial was set for April 3, and then delayed to April 7… It had been billed as the trial of ‘Jesus who had come down on the clouds to save the people’ …
Sun-myung Moon … was brought in with other prisoners … among them was his follower, Kim Chong-hwa.
[Moon] stood accused of spreading falsehoods, deceiving innocent people for their money, and using those people to get more money from others. He was also charged with destroying the family and institutions, bringing disorder to society.
… Moon was sentenced to five years. Kim Chong-hwa was given 18 months.
[They were both jailed for their bigamous relationship.]
The Life of Sun Myung Moon – the Messiah of a Perverted Sex Religion (1991) by Hagiwara Ryo:
“Sun Myung Moon was first arrested by the security police on August 11, 1946. He was detained for three months at the Daedong police station [in Pyongyang]. The charge was for causing social disorder, for alleged sexual immorality. On February 22, 1948 Sun Myung Moon was arrested for a second time by the 内務省 Ministry of the Interior [not 内務署 the Interior Department] for his coerced marriage with a housewife, Mrs Kim Chong-hwa. On April 27 he was sentenced to five years in Heungnam prison.” (page 70) LINK
SUN MYUNG MOON, the early years – 1920 to 1953 by Michael Breen: pages 111-112
One night in the second week of October, guards stopped outside each cell in Heungnam prison, and shouted out several numbers. They ordered the prisoners whose numbers had been called, to come outside.
“What's happened?” one prisoner asked a guard through the cell window later that day.
“I don't know,” the guard said. “I just saw they had a big sign hanging around their neck with their prison number written large. Their hands were tied. They were probably shot.”
The guards came around and called out more numbers. Around ten prisoners were left in Moon’s cell. ...
October 14… The remaining hundred and fifty-two prisoners were assembled, and each was given a bag of rice to carry. They filed out of the camp…By nightfall…Moon’s group reached a hill outside Hamheung and stopped…the chief guard addressed the prisoners.
… “Do you promise that when the war is over, you will come back and finish your sentences?” he asked.
“Yes, yes,” the prisoners promised. They couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
“All right,” the guard said. “If any officials ask you what happened, I will take responsibility. You are free to go home.”
Bigamy: “I hate him so much I want to kill him.”
The tears and anger of Mrs. Kim Chong-hwa
The Six ‘Wives’ of Sun Myung Moon
Sun Myung Moon and the Unification Church by James Bjornstad (written in 1976, revised in 1984): “Following this, while still residing in North Korea, Rev. Moon was sent to jail. His followers say that it was because of his anti-communism, while others say it was for bigamy and adultery. A former North Korean army officer, who was in prison [in Heungnam labor camp] with Rev. Moon, says that Moon received a seven-year sentence for contributing to ‘social disorder,’ proclaiming the imminent coming of the second messiah in Korea!” (pages 10-11)
