hi :3 i must admit your game is realy nice :D i can not wait to see what you will add in it ^^ for suggestion i have to say i love playing on it without use directly the manual heart rate increasse or decreese, healt bare or ogygène bare for the oxygène i love the breath hold mechanics but when the oxygen decreen there is no way to make it recovery, not like the healt barre i saw who can do :) (very well done on that part) so for the suggestion that would be nice if it was synchro with the breathing animation ! like when it breath the oxygène is hight and when exhaling the oxygène would be low, when you press the holding breath is would take longer opr lesser time before geting at zero depeding if you made it hold breath after full breath of in the exhale time also, i realised the breathing rate is highter when the heart rate is hight, maybe add a mechanics cummulated with the breath, where the heartbeat consume oxygène, so more the heart rate is hight more the oxygène decrease rapidly uhm sorry for the long text ahah keep going your game is awsome :D i think you're alone working and you're doing it very well <3 we love it :3
Thanks for the suggestion!
The oxygen bar is actually for the amount of breathable oxygen available, 0% is to simulate rebreathing into a bag for example. I can add a bar for the air actually breathed in.
And thanks again <3

Heavily disagree with this take, but I've been weighing how to respond because I don't want to seem like a jerk or a contrarian. That's not my intention, at all.
Mulder didn't choose Diana over Scully in The End-- and Scully knows this.
In The End, she sees her partner and Diana holding hands and immediately feels inadequate, caught in her ever-spiraling inability to snap Mulder from his depressive Season 5 state; and interprets this moment as Mulder blooming into his full potential, once again. She's the scientist, Diana's the para scientist. She's the new recruit, Diana discovered the files. She's Mulder's partner, but Diana was more than his partner. Both histories lasted five years; and now Diana's back.
Further, Mulder chooses Scully before their office burns; and Scully knows this. They are huddled in his apartment when Scully receives the call about Diana's health. She relays this to Mulder, who is subdued and discouraged-- his friend was almost killed following his crazy quest-- but Mulder doesn't run to the hospital, doesn't wait outside of surgery, doesn't sit at Diana's bedside after Diana (I.e. One Breath and Wetwired and Redux II.)
Again, I stress: Scully knows this. How do we know? Fight the Future: Mulder stays by her (and she by his) after they're put on regular FBI duties. He works cases with her, two rebels breaking off to find a bomb together. They find one, definitely; but again, the Bureau blames Mulder. And this is how we know Scully knows Mulder picked her: she feels she-- not his loyalty, not his friendship with Diana-- failed him. She takes the blame in OPR, she prepares to walk away from him, she's seduced to follow him to Texas (all for naught), and she must break away, once and for all, for his own good.
Mulder tells her blatantly in his apartment, "I need you on this, Scully." She knows he does-- but it's not enough to overcome her depressive self-doubt. She thinks she slowly ruined his work, his answers, his ability to thrive and move towards the truth faster. The tragedy of Fight the Future is that she believes her efforts to heal Mulder have effectively poisoned him, not that he no longer trusts or wants her.
"You never needed me, Mulder. I just held you back." That is what Scully thinks of herself. Those are her doubts-- her Starbuckian complex that questions and second-guesses all of her life choices separate from Mulder. The voice she misinterprets constantly until all things, and the one she attributes to "other fathers" and lashes out against or crumbles under. She knows Mulder chose her; but she feels inadequate-- the blind leading the blind. He trusts her, but she's failed them, failed him.
And that's why his confession is so potent: "But you saved me!" Not Diana, not her strict rationalism, not her methods and successes and failures; SHE saved him. He didn't choose her and lose-- he chose her and she SAVED him.
This leads to her determination at the close of the movie: holding onto his arm and insisting they move forward, together. Mulder is afraid to lose her, but he also doesn't want her to die; and she assures him now she understands his withdrawal-- the fear that he's corrupting her, a mirror of her fear (that she's stymying him.) If they both quit now, They win.
Well then... what happened in The Beginning?
In The Beginning, Mulder outright rejects Scully's scientific approach, leading her to believe he rates Diana's answers above her own. ...But that's not wholly true: Scully rejected Mulder's version of events first-- in front of OPR when he was trying to win the files back-- and her own muddled memories, because the science didn't add up. At the end of the episode, her science was right and wrong; and she tests Mulder, asking him to trust her. He knows what he saw, and rejects her answers if they don't align with his. The truth is, her answers did and didn't match his-- and both leave the matter unanswered between them. Both were wrong-- Scully for falling back onto "easy" science instead of standing by his and her testimony and he for assuming she was willing to sweep their experiences completely aside if it didn't fit her narrow world view. And both realized they were wrong and left the matter at a stalemate: neither was in the right, but neither wanted to communicate and work the issue out further; so, they wordlessly moved forward.
And that brings me to my other important point: Season 6 was not melancholic; it was not angsty; it was not burdened or weighed down or even depressed. Not only did the writers decide to lean into lighter, funner, more interesting storylines after the move to California, but Season 6, even separate from that context, was a breather for both agents. Yes, they were not on the files; yes, they yearned for better, more fulfilling work; yes, the aftermath of Fight the Future haunted their steps. Yet, both took these factors in stride. Yes, Mulder kept running off to dangerous deeds; yes, Scully kept running after him to clean up his messes; but both were glad-- glad to still be working together, glad to share a mutual frustration over their circumstances, glad Kersh hadn't split them apart. Each episode features moments where they are cheerful, vulnerable, humorous, openly yearning, and more emotionally in-tune with each other. And both know the state of their relationship: where it is, and where it is (or isn't) going. The frustration both feel in their current circumstances are dwarfed by the new footing both are navigating separately and together-- they both want this new space, this new flirtation with more (with danger).
In Drive, Scully puts up a front but is easily wheedled into going off-road for a case. She trusts Mulder implicitly, and knows Mulder trusts her to rescue him and get to the truth. No words are exchanged about that trust, but it's there. In Triangle, Mulder ran ahead because the case was time-sensitive, but he still trusted (and tried to protect) alternate universe Scully. Scully , meanwhile, knew he needed her help; and shook the FBI apart until she got her necessary details. In closing, she bantered and soothed and ordered and "oh, brother"ed because Mulder was stoned out of his head (or so she assumed.) She didn't brush aside his "I love you" because she didn't believe it, she brushed it aside because he wasn't in a proper frame of mind to discuss it with her-- in short, she knew Mulder loved her since his hallway; and she knows Mulder doesn't shake feelings away or off lightly. In Dreamland I and II, she hops in the car to Area 51 all while probing him about what he wants out of a normal life-- a house? kids? a dog?-- and rolls her eyes, amused and resigned, at his single-minded "this is a life." She is shaken when 'Mulder' (read: Morris) doesn't respect her or her opinions: and that is huge, because it shows she still believes (and trusts) that Mulder holds her thoughts in high regard-- that he respects (and loves) her. Her instincts about her partner lead her to discover Morris's ruse and attempt to save Mulder: she has to take his stance, for once-- the believer-- and use her science-- the skeptic-- to save him. And both knew Mulder trusted her with (his new body-swapped) life. In How the Ghosts Stole Christmas, Scully came over anyway, let herself be led deeper and deeper into the house, knew Mulder was listening to and taking in her skeptical perspectives, and that he was lonely (and she was lonely) and wanted the company. She was the one who realized her natural "shoot first to protect myself" instincts didn't apply to Mulder because she trusted he would never harm her-- he respected, valued, and loved her too much. That trust paid off, and they both escaped. Terms of Endearment was another example of his trust for and respect in Scully, and her belief in that fact: Mulder breaks all conceivable excuses when he takes up a discarded x-files, and calls Scully away from her mandated work to investigate a demon baby case. He trusts her findings completely. In The Rain King, Scully doesn't bristle or withdraw when she finds Sheila making out with Mulder-- she's even amused that Mulder was asked by Holman to give dating advice. She is so secure in her feelings for Mulder that she smiles and twinkles over her "falling in love with your best friend" speech-- there isn't a drop or hint of bitterness, hurt, or distance. And she doesn't attempt to deny or withdraw from Holman's pointed, "You should try it some time." In S.R. 819, she comes to the office, late, at Mulder's call; trusts his instincts, knows Mulder trusts hers; and works in tandem with him to save Skinner's life. In Tithonus, she confides in Mulder about the whippersnapper agent's disrespect, confesses Fellig is an x-file, and calls her partner whenever she needs information (or is afraid.) Mulder is her lifeline; and their reciprocity goes both ways.
Two Fathers and One Son is where things got sticky-- but not too sticky, in hindsight, because of their restored closeness, banter, and symbiotic partnership in Agua Mala. Diana Fowley pops back up, and Mulder trusts her without question, and Scully calls him to the carpet, using his friends against him in order to get her point across. Again, both are right and wrong; and both are in the wrong-- Mulder for his dismissal, Scully for her methods. Still, Mulder chose Scully over Diana-- going to Diana's apartment to check if she was compromised (with a lock pick) and only allowing her to kiss him after he fell into despair and just wanted to save Scully alive.-- and Scully trusted that he would, from the start, because she called him to go with her to retrieve Cassandra Spender. The close of One Son is so, so crucial: Mulder's speech-- "They burned themselves. With a choice made long ago by a conspiracy of men who thought they could sleep with the enemy"-- alerts Scully to his shame. Though her eyebrow goes up and her eyes harden, her mouth and jaw softens: Mulder is owning, in his own way, his complete and utter failure-- that he needed her to save him, again.
So, what does she do? Withdraw, distance, discard? No-- she answers his Floridian sea monster call, travels down in an impending hurricane, clutches onto Mulder's arm, stands with her partner against the loonies, has the confidence that she can poke at his methods and theories without him turning hostile (even on the phone with other police), and bickers with him like half of a married couple. That follows through in Monday, where they are back in business and have nothing between them; in Arcadia, where he continually pushes back against her comfortability with this "normal" life without utterly offending her; in Alpha, even though she is jealous over Mulder's pen pal-- notice she's never this way with his other male friends, acquaintances, and associates? it's a pattern that traces back to TLG's introduction in E.B.E. and Bambi's brief appearance in War of the Coprophages-- and frustrated he didn't clearly communicate ahead of time; and in Trevor where she takes up the (brief) "spontaneous human combustion" theory despite potential or possible prickles from the canid case the week before.
Milagro weaves in the threads Fight the Future left. Scully is lonely and trying to get Mulder's attention; Mulder is concerned about her compromised ability to see Padgett clearly; both are in the wrong, and right, about the case. Both trust each other with their lives; and both cling to each other at the end of the episode. Both hear Padgett's "Agent Scully is already in love." Then The Unnatural unfolds: Scully wants to take life by the testes: she brings ice cream into the basement one Saturday afternoon, hoping to distract Mulder's attention from a case. It turns out, his attention was already distracted. Thus, we have the true cause for the will-they-won't-they, the same one that plagued them all the way back in Detour, and forwards and backwards (since): Mulder doesn't look for life on this planet, hence he misses (and sometimes purposefully overlooks) the signs and signals Scully puts out. He has a big revelation, runs to a baseball field to share it with Scully, and an important thing happens: David Duchovny wrote the script so that Scully already knew Mulder's moral and where he was going-- she already knew Mulder's heart and intentions, hence why she is still here.
In short: if Scully doubts, she withdraws and distances. We see this in Syzygy, we see this in Never Again, we see this in The End, we see this in Fight the Future, we see this in all things. All of these incidences are so much more than Mulder not giving her respect or choosing other people-- all of these are tied to Scully's estimation of herself. Gillian explored this in all things: Mulder didn't change, hadn't changed, hadn't needed to change; it was Scully's doubts and insecurities that were tripping her up, not him. (As Scully says in Never Again, "Not everything is about you, Mulder.") Further, all things concludes with Mulder's return from his trip to England; and Scully plans to tell him about her weekend and listen to him talk about his without expecting him to change or be different-- because she realizes not everything is about her, either: it isn't about the truth or Samantha or Diana Fowley or anyone else, either. Mulder's actions are because of his own reasons, and her actions are because of her reasons-- and she understood the first part as early as Detour (with him running off into the woods and not holding it against him) but hadn't mastered the latter until her talk with 'god'.
So, in conclusion: we all have our thoughts, readings, and opinions. I think attributing Scully's actions in The End and Season 6 to angst over disrespect or thoughtlessness by Mulder-- when there is no carry-through of that angst or disrespect-- is only one dimension to a complicated issue; and does disservice to her flaws, decisions, and resolutions. If Scully had doubted, she'd walk away-- in Fight the Future and One Son-- but the nature of those doubts are better explained in Field Trip (where she and Mulder argue about both their voices not being heard) than in a one-off mytharc episode with a wedged in, fairly one-dimensional character.
i think the hallway scene like half-way through s5e20 is a really great representation of the entirety of season 6 yes i'm still here.

mulder and diana separated from her by a glass door. she can see them and if they cared to look they'd see her too. she waits. diana takes his hand. mulder looks at her and he keeps looking at her and scully's hand is frozen in the air as she reaches for the handle, waiting.
and she attempts to open that damn door so many times but she gets absolutely nothing in return. mulder doesn't listen to her, doesn't trust her, doesn't treat her like an equal—let alone a friend.
because they WERE friends before all of this.
now? after choosing diana over her every single time? after breaking all the promises he made? after going back on all his love confessions? after being his one in five billion right up until someone better came along?
they were friends and now she is "making it personal".
she walks away from him—from THEM, from the x files, from the remnants of the life they've built—and he doesn't try to stop her. the door stays shut with her fingerprints still visible on the glass.

Controlling Inflation with OPR
Challenges in Controlling Inflation with OPR.
By Dr Paul Anthony Mariadas and Dr Uma Murthy Inflation is an economic phenomenon characterized by a general increase in the prices of goods and services in an economy over a period of time. Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has the mandate to control inflation by setting and adjusting the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) as part of its monetary policy tools. However, despite the best efforts of BNM to…

Prompt: “Check that again, are you sure?”
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: G
Pairings: Gen
Neal had known even when he applied for the job (pending the decision whether or not he would be a free man, and thankfully, things had worked out in his favour) that there were those within the Bureau who would never fully trust him just because of his past. There was nothing he could do but to accept the fact, and for the most part, he was doing fairly well, mostly because the other agents knew better than to go after anyone who was on good terms with Peter Burke.
Still, there were certain things he had come to expect, so he wasn’t surprised that one day, he was called and ordered to report to the OPR. He was explicitly told not to tell anyone, so he didn’t even let peter know where he was going; more so Peter wouldn’t get into trouble than for any other reason, though.
As it turned out, it was an unnecessary precaution.
The first thing he noticed was that he was most definitely not being treated as a criminal, or even a suspect. As a matter of fact, he was offered a chair in front of the desk of the agent who’d called him, rather than being led to an interrogation room, and even asked if he wanted anything to drink.
It was all explained when they asked if he knew whether or not Peter had had contact with a certain informant lately, since he seemed to have been the last one to see and/or speak to said informant.
Neal was used to thinking on his feet, but this was too much. "Check that again, are you sure?" he blurted out before he could help himself. The thought of Peter Burke – Peter Burke – doing anything that wasn’t above board – and doing it to an informant, when he had always done the outmost to keep even his CIs safe (and shouldn’t Neal know all about that? No scratch that, he did know all about that) – it was utterly ridiculous. But for some reasons, they suspected him of something, and thought that Neal would be a good witness.
Not that they really had anything to go on, but still.
He left the OPR knowing that he had to speak to Peter, despite another warning not to do so; but really, what else was he supposed to do?
Thankfully, Peter was in his office. “Neal – where have you been? Diana said that –“
“The OPR wanted to see me” he interrupted him.
Peter frowned. “Why? Certainly you haven’t –“
“Wasn’t about me”. And he quickly told him.
He didn’t know what he had expected, but it certainly hadn’t been Peter simply shaking his head and saying, “Damn, should’ve been more careful this time, but they were in a rush to be gone.”
Wait, what? “What are you –“
“The witness chose to leave, and I certainly didn’t have any power to stop them.”
Neal certainly had the feeling there was more to this story. “So there’s nothing going on?”
“Well” Peter answered, “Depends on what you mean –“
“Peter?”
“Look, Neal, they’re safe and have left the country, and that’s all you need to know, really. I’ll be more careful in the future.”
“Wait, are you saying that you just help informants skip the country when they want out?” He certainly hadn’t left Neal off the hook, that was certain.
He still half-expected a denial, but he didn’t do so; Instead, he looked at him, nodded as if he had made a decision and replied, “Not always, of course. But there are informants who’ve ended up in a bad situation through no fault of their own, or at least not because they did anything illegal, and if we have all the information and evidence we need, so they no longer have to bear witness to anything, why shouldn’t they get out?”
“So you are saying that you just help them disappear?” It did make sense that Peter would help those he considered worthy of it, but still…
“Let’s just say I point them in the right direction. What they do after that is up to them.”
He shrugged and got up. Neal couldn’t help but stare at him. How often had he had a lecture about doing things by the book instead of just moving ahead with the first plan that came to mind? He couldn’t help it – he had to ask.
“And how often have you… bent the rules in the past?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know.”
“Peter –“
“Well, I couldn’t very well let you know while you were still serving your sentence, could I. That would just have given you ideas. Anyway, coffee?”
And Peter went to the coffee machine while whistling to himself, leaving Neal to stare after him.

👽 Random X-Files Fic Rec
These stories feel so real they might as well be canon. "Tithonus" is an episode begging for emotional character moments that were sadly lacking on the show, but these two stories do a great job filling in some of that big gap. Title: She Ditched Him? and The Lucky Man Author: Vickie Moseley Summary: Fill in the blank for "Tithonus." Mulder and Maggie make their way to New York after a call with Agent Ritter. / Mulder, an OPR hearing and why Ritter nodded when Mulder told him he was lucky. Length: 26k (~4,500 words) / 20k (~3,450 words) Classification: MSR, Angst, UST Rating: PG-13 / PG Spoilers: Tithonus Favorite line: "Is this where we get to the 'you're a sorry son of a bitch' line, Mrs. Scully," Mulder said bitterly, suddenly interested in the pattern of the carpet tiles beneath his feet. Read part 1 and part 2!

Would You Lie With Me and Just Forget the World?
by: mldrgrl Rating: PG Summary: A little ‘what if?’ AU during Fight the Future, if Scully had gone to Salt Lake City.  Inspired by the wonderful little poem Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.  (Sweet midnight, Anon, I think this fits nicely with your prompt as well)
“Salt Lake City, transfer effective immediately.”  She hesitates in his doorway for only a moment, and then she turns to leave.  “I have to go.”
His head is spinning and his heart is racing.  He springs up from his desk to chase her down, to stop her from leaving.  He makes it to the hall, but all he can manage is her name.  She stops at the elevator, her back to him.  He sees her ball her hands into determined little fists and the way she takes a deep breath and straightens her spine.  When she turns, the wobble of her chin and the tears in her eyes threaten to break the composure she’s just worked so hard to muster.
There’s an ache in his chest.  He wants to tell her everything in that moment; how much she means to him and how much he needs her.  He’s as afraid that she’ll think he’s only talking about their work as much as he’s afraid she’ll know he isn’t talking about work at all.
“Is this...is this what you want?” he asks.
The elevator doors open up behind her and she turns away from him to step inside.  He moves a few steps closer and then she turns around again and he stops.  She only gives him a glance before bowing her head.  The doors close and he’s alone in his hallway.  He doubles over, hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath.  It feels like he’s been kicked in the gut.
With Scully sent to Utah, Mulder is reassigned to counter-terrorism.  He hates it.  Hates the work, hates the other agents in the unit, and hates his new superior.  They’ve got him chasing down suspicious purchases of fertilizer and harassing confused farmers day in and day out.  Shit detail.  He’d quit, but he doesn’t like the thought of how smugly satisfied They’ll be knowing he had given up.  Easy as it would be to search the directory for her new information, he doesn’t even contact Scully.  Nor does she contact him.  He doesn’t drive by her old apartment and he takes her number out of his speed dial.  He refuses to be broken.
He lasts six weeks.
Six long, torturous, miserable, and painful weeks and then he’s at the airport one Friday afternoon, booking the next flight out to Salt Lake City.  For four and a half hours he gorges himself on tiny bags of peanuts and shreds his cocktail napkins into tiny pieces on the tray table in front of him.  He rents a car and drives the few miles to the field office in the area, solely relying on hope and a hunch that she’ll be there.
His badge gets him in the door without issue, but he can’t go aimlessly wandering the halls.  He stops a woman pushing a cart, assuming she’s a mail clerk that will know every office blindfolded.  Luck is on his side.  When he asks where he can find Agent Scully, she tells him to take the stairs down one flight, third door on the right.  He takes a few deep breaths in the stairwell and wipes his sweaty palms on the front of his pants before he heads down the hall.
He passes a janitor’s closet and a storage room.  The third door is missing a real nameplate.  Someone has scribbled SCULLY onto a piece of lined paper, ripped that in half, and taped it to the empty slot where a nameplate should be.  The door is open, but he knocks anyway, just a few light taps with his knuckle as he enters.
Scully is hunched over a small table in the corner, squished between a bookcase and filing cabinet.  The room is cold, dimly lit, and not a window in sight.  It’s barely bigger than a broom closet.
“You can take the girl out of the basement,” he says.  “But, I guess you can’t really take the basement out of the girl.”
Scully blinks as she looks up and drops her pen on the table.  She looks the same to him, but changed somehow.  Her eyes, he realizes, look grey.
“Mulder,” she says.  “What are you doing here?”
“I was in the neighborhood.  Thought I’d check out the new digs.”  He looks around.  He bets if he stretches his arms out, he’d be able to touch both sides of the walls.  “Please tell me this is just temporary while they renovate the corner office for you.”
She doesn’t answer, just looks down at the papers on the table and begins collecting them into a neat pile.  Watching her gather her things in this pathetic excuse for an office, he feels like his heart is being squeezed in a vice.  She doesn’t deserve this.
“What’re you working on?” he asks.
“Nothing,” she answers.  “Reviewing autopsy reports.”
“Can I take you to dinner?”
She checks her watch and glances past Mulder to the door.  He turns to see what she’s looking for, but there isn’t anything there.  She’s nervous, he realizes, but he doesn’t know what for.
“Or maybe I should go,” he says.  “I didn’t mean to...catch you off guard.”
“No, it’s okay,” she says, softly.  “It’s been a long week.  Do you mind if...we could order in.”
“Sure.”
He scans her bookshelves as he waits for her to pack up her satchel.  Nothing but textbooks on forensics and pathology, some of them with cracked, ancient binding.  She turns the light off and he follows her down the hall and up the stairs.  She pauses for a moment and waves a file folder in her hand.
“I just have to…” she says.
“Take your time.”
She nods and knocks on the first door to the left.  He hears a mumbled conversation and nonchalantly steps into the view of the open office.  Scully is in the antechamber of another office, passing the file folder to a woman who looks like she just sucked on a lemon.  Her disdain is more than obvious and Mulder wonders what it’s about.  For a fleeting second, the woman’s eyes meet Mulder’s and her expression turns from sour to suspicious.  He turns his head and keeps moving past the door to wait for Scully.  She comes out a few moments later with her eyes forward and doesn’t look at him, doesn’t wait for him as she heads to the exit.  He follows a few paces behind.
“You drove?” she asks.
“Got a free upgrade to a Toyota Corolla,” he answers, waggling his brows at her.  “Riding in style around the Beehive State.  What was the deal with the wicked witch of the west back there?”
“Things are different here.  People are...different.”  She turns her head and a slight breeze ruffles her hair.  He almost lifts his hand to brush it out of her eyes.  “I’m over there.”  She points to the left of the parking lot.  “You can follow me out.  It’s not far.”
“After you.”
He watches her walk away.  The tired slump of her shoulders and bowed head is depressing.  He doesn’t even have to see her face to see how sad and defeated she is.  He’s angry with himself for waiting so long to come to her.  He should’ve been on a plane immediately.  He should have never let her go.
The drive to her apartment is only about ten minutes.  The building is compact and lacks character, bland and beige and ugly.  Next door is an empty lot of dirt and shrubs and a clear view of the highway.  He hopes the interior makes up for the exterior.  His hopes are dashed as soon as he steps foot inside.  It’s even worse.
Her apartment is a studio with ancient appliances and worn carpet. Clearly, it came furnished with pea-green, threadbare chairs and a pull-out couch.  He doesn’t recognize a thing.  What little she does have is still in boxes, pushed up against the walls and stacked to make as much room as possible.  They’ve stayed in nicer motels throughout the years.  He hates everything about it, but especially that this is what she’s been calling home for the last six weeks.
“It’s temporary,” she says, watching him look around.
“You don’t deserve this,” he replies.
“I didn’t have much of a choice.”
“That’s where you’re wrong.”
“It’s over, Mulder.  You need to accept that and move on.”
“Move on?  Are you serious?”
“What do you want from me, Mulder?  The files are destroyed.  The OPR was quite clear that there’s no hope of ever reinstating the department.  I’ve been exiled to what’s arguably the least friendly, most backwards and misogynistic field office in the country, which I’m sure was intended to break my resolve somehow.”
“Then why are you still here?”
“If I quit now, they win.  I don’t see you walking away.”
The defiant tilt of her chin ends the debate.  He nods in agreement and shoves his hands into his pockets in frustration.  She’s right, as usual, and he hates that she’s right about this.  But, he didn’t come here to argue.  He takes his hands out of his pockets and swings them awkwardly for a moment.  He wants to touch her, but he doesn’t.
“I need you,” he says.
“You don’t need me,” she whispers as she sinks down and perches on the edge of one of the chairs.  “You never have.  I just held you back.”  For a few moments, she holds her face in one hand and rubs her temples.  When she looks up, her eyes are heavy and tired.  She blinks and then her eyes well up and she looks down at her lap, picking at the skin along her thumbnail.
“You’re wrong, Scully.  You are so wrong.”
“Why did they assign me to you, Mulder?  To rein you in.  To shut you down.”
“And you saved me.  Your goddamn strict science and rationalism have saved me a thousand times over.  You kept me honest.  You made me a whole person.  And I’m not...”  He pauses and swallows hard against the tightening in his throat.  He’d built up his courage and come out here to tell her all the things he’d held back, but fear has a merciless stranglehold on him and steals his voice.
She looks up at him with her brows furrowed and he kneels down in front of her.  He puts his hands on her knees, palms up, and she automatically slips her hands into his as if they’ve done this a thousand times.  He bows his head over their hands for a few moments and then looks up and gazes openly into her eyes.
“I’m not just talking about the work,” he says.  “When I say I need you, I mean you are the other half of me.  You’re right, they’ve taken everything from us and I’ve spent these last weeks being furious and disgruntled and railing at the injustice of...we were so close, Scully.  We were on the verge.  But...but…”
She squeezes his hands and he bows his head again.
“It’s not the work I want back,” he says. “It’s you.”
She chokes on whatever reply she’s about to give and then lowers her head so her forehead rests against his.  He pulls his hands free of hers and wraps his arms around her, nearly pulling her from the chair and into him.  She hides her face against his shoulder and both hands slide over the back of his head and through his hair.
“What do we do?” she asks.  “I know you, Mulder, you’ll never give up.”
“I’m not giving up.  The only thing I know for sure is that I’m not leaving here without you.  Everything else...I don’t know.”
Her fingers tighten, pulling gently at his hair.  He leans his head against hers and they stay that way until finally she picks her head up and stares at him.  He brushes his thumbs along the crescents beneath her eyes, damp with tears.  Her lips part even before he leans in as though she anticipates his kiss.  He whispers her name as their mouths meet and her whimpered reply makes the six weeks away from her worth the lost time.
When they pull back, maybe minutes or hours later, there’s a mixture of shock and awe in Scully’s expression and Mulder can’t help the lopsided and goofy grin that pulls at his cheeks.  He can feel every muscle in his face lift in happiness and then Scully smiles as well.  She’s the first to look away, glancing to the side at the pull-out couch and then biting her lip when she returns to his gaze.
Like most things, they don’t discuss the next step.  Mulder gets up and takes Scully’s hands to help her from the chair.  They empty the couch of cushions, stacking them in a little space next to the arm that she’s designated as the holding area, and then they unfold the bed together.  They remove blazers and shoes and belts, but come to an unspoken agreement that that’s enough for now.  Cuffs and collars are loosened for comfort and then they lay down facing each other, nose to nose, Mulder’s arms around her and Scully’s arms folded between them with her hands on his chest.
They take turns pressing soft kisses to one another’s face; her cheek, his brow, the side of her nose, his chin, the back of her jaw, the corner of his mouth.  Things escalate slowly and gradually.  The lazy circles Mulder makes against Scully’s upper back move lower until his hand rests lightly at the hint of a curve below her hip.  Their legs shift and twine.  Scully moves one hand to Mulder’s side, fingers tugging unconsciously at his shirt.
The bed is surprisingly comfortable, not that Mulder would notice if it wasn’t.  It does squeak though with nearly every move they make and they can’t help laughing at the absurdity every so often.  He can’t believe the anger and heartache he’s been holding for the last six weeks has evaporated so quickly into joy.  He can’t believe he’s here and that they’re doing this.
And then things simmer and slow and then they’re back to where they started, nose to nose, albeit a little more entwined.  He could be afraid she’s changed her mind or that this isn’t what she wants, but he isn’t, not with the way her fingers play at his nape or the way she moves to trace his lips every so often with the pad of her thumb.  No skin has even been uncovered and yet he feels more exposed and naked than he ever has been, and he’s not afraid of that either.
“What do we do now?” she whispers.
“Got any good Chinese takeout around these parts?”
She smiles and brushes his nose with his.  He shifts and sighs and they both tighten their hold on each other, just a little.
“I don’t know,” he says.  “You should...be a doctor.  Go be a doctor while you still can.”
“Maybe one day I will be.  But, you haven’t found the truth yet and I have my own questions that need answers.  I have...my own injustices that need to be resolved.”
“You wanna go rogue?”
“I’ve been out here for the past six weeks thinking that I didn’t want to burn bridges.  I thought maybe if I kept my head down, stayed below radar, I’d earn the chance to come back.”
He nods.  “How’s that been working out?”
“Not very well.”
“I’m at the end of my rope, Scully.  Tell me you feel the same.”
She slides down and curls herself up against his chest.  He makes a shelter out of his arms and curves himself around her in return.
“We’ll figure it out,” he says.  “Just maybe not right now.”
“Thank you for coming after me.”
“I’ll always come after you.”
“I know.”
They fall asleep twined like a yin and yang; two halves, one whole.  He’s needed respite from his crusade for so long and tonight he has it.  Tomorrow, they’ll form a plan, but for now, they’ll lie together and just forget the world.
The End

Summary: Scully’s feelings leading up to the FTF Hallway Scene
The ping from the elevator chime caused her to flinch. The doors shuddered as they slid open and Scully stepped inside, gripping her car keys against her palm. A torrent swirled in her chest. She felt adrift in an angry sea, searching for a lighthouse to guide her to shore. She leaned back against the worn paneling in the elevator car and shook her head sharply. With a deep inhale and a shaky exhale she allowed herself to briefly fall apart.
Scully thought about other moments, just like this, where she hid herself to lose composure in the back corner of the office or silently cry in a bathroom stall. Purge it from her system, wipe her cheeks, and soldier on. The past year was marked by so much pain and loss. A confusing array of emotions that she was forced to compartmentalize. The return of her illness and miraculous recovery, strange memories from the night on the bridge, finding and losing Emily in the blink of an eye. The list was becoming insurmountable. She never wanted to appear vulnerable nor did she allow herself complete release or acceptance. He tried to remind her that she wasn’t alone and that gave her some comfort. He could be fiercely protective with an overbearing concern at times -- but he was there.
Scully told herself all this turmoil was from the exhaustion of their return trip to Texas. Dragged out to the desert on a hunch to pursue phantom tanker trucks. Chased through a cornfield by black helicopters only to escape unscathed. They argued on the drive to the airport and she was too tired to speak to him after they nearly missed a connecting flight back to D.C.
She was late getting to the Hoover Building for her awkward meeting with OPR. Feeling unprofessional and flustered she endured an hour of questioning. Skinner met her in the hallway, trying to offer words of encouragement. Instead she only heard the words from a senior agent echo in her head about disciplinary action. How was she going to tell Mulder?
Tears pricked the corners of her eyes as she thought about the consequence of bringing this journey to its end. She pressed her lips together stifling a sob. The impression of her keys grew deeper in her hand. Another chime and the elevator doors opened. It was then she realized she neglected to press the button for the fourth floor.
——-
So many times down this hallway, finding herself at his door. She knocked first then turned the knob, surprised to find it was unlocked. Mulder was seated at his cluttered desk and didn’t get up from his chair as she stood at the threshold. He tilted his head with a quizzical look; not at the fact she was standing in his foyer, but more concerned about her uncharacteristic disheveled appearance. Jacket undone, white shirt hastily untucked. This time she couldn’t hide the fact that something was wrong.
“Salt Lake City. Transfer effective immediately.” It tasted sour in her mouth. Her throat felt dry. His eyes closed and he shut the book that was balanced on his lap.
“You can’t quit, Scully.”
“I debated whether or not to tell you in person,” she continued, nails pressing into her palm. He told her they were so close to finding answers, that they were on the verge of something. She painfully disagreed saying he was the only one who was making that leap. He rose from his chair and approached her.
“After all you saw last night, after all you’ve seen you can just walk away?”
“I have. I did - it’s done.”
“I need you on this,” he stressed as he leaned in closer. She could feel her heart breaking. This man, who would follow his beliefs to the ends of the earth; who was already sinking in the deep end of unwanted cases before she came along. She figured he’d be better off without her to continue his pursuit of the truth.
“You don’t need me Mulder, you never have. I’ve just held you back,” she paused long enough to catch her breath and stifle another wave of tears. “I gotta go.”
She was four steps out the door before she heard his heavy boot heels follow. She whirled around and witnessed his frustration boil over. He confronted her and fought to get the last word before she walked out of his life. She stood her ground, not letting him win this time. Scully told him she had only been a pawn, a small player in the grand game to shut down and debunk his work. Then he cut her off.
“But you saved me.”
His honesty hit her like a bullet. Hearing him say those four words with a rawness and a vulnerability to his voice caused a pang in her chest. He continued, telling her that she kept him honest and made him a whole person.
“I owe you everything. And Scully, you owe me nothing.”
It was an unconventional declaration of love. Simply put, he loved her and in that moment she truly felt it. Her lips parted as she tried to think of something to say but nothing came. She could feel her pulse pound in her ears. His voice lowered as he stood dangerously close.
“I don’t know if I want to do this alone. I don’t even know if I can.”
The powers that be had made the decision for them. She knew it was a forced short-term re-assignment, six months at best maybe a year. Where would things stand when she returned. His plea hung in the air; thick and heavy. There was nothing she could say. The harsh yellow lighting in the hallway was an unkind compliment. He appeared exhausted, desperate, and defeated. She swallowed hard and walked forward into an embrace, burying her head in his chest. She tightened her arms around him and closed her eyes. He held her close with a strong arm draped across her upper back, his head resting in the delicate space between her neck and shoulder. She pulled away and reached for the back of his neck to bring him down, allowing her lips to sweetly kiss his forehead.  A tear slipped down her cheek.
“God, what are we doing, Mulder?” she whispered, stroking the hair at the nape of his neck. He exhaled slowly, leaning his forehead against hers. She sniffed with a soft gaze at the floor. She was still questioning herself and he could sense it.
“I can’t lose you now, Scully. Not after all this,” he said softly as he smoothed her hair. She had been here before, melting into his palm as tears pooled in her eyes. Her chin lifted. She could feel her cheeks flush and her pulse quicken as he brought his other hand to frame her face. His touch felt more like a lover than a friend, five years of unspoken desire in a gentle caress. He was turning the key to her heart, unlocking it without saying a word. She searched his face and suddenly desire invaded her thoughts. She was overcome with a need to be with him, even if it was only for tonight.
A shared bated breath. Lips parted just so. He leaned in and time stood still; they could have been the only two people in the city with the world falling down around them. A celestial thread pulled them together, slowing their orbit. He pressed his lips to hers; soft and warm. Her head drifted back as she took his kiss. Hunger dared her tongue to explore further. His fingers traced down her jawline and trailed along her supple neck. Her head tilted ever so slightly allowing the tip of his tongue to slip past her lips. Her hands moved to hold the sides of his neck, fingers stretched up towards his cheeks. Suddenly, she felt his embrace tighten around her and he lifted her up with ease. She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist and he turned, carrying her back down the hallway. As he stumbled inside his apartment they parted long enough to catch a breath.
“Mulder…” she purred as her feet found the floor. He released her then placed a free hand on the door and firmly closed it behind them, flipping the deadbolt. She paced further into the room and shed her jacket, letting it fall unceremoniously to the floor. As she turned around he met her at the espresso stained door frame with another passionate embrace. She leaned back against the solid wood, feeling his weight comfortably envelop her. He then dipped his head to meet hers as her fingers nimbly toyed with the hem of his dark grey t-shirt.
“Scully,” he began with heavy breath, “If you’re giving me this chance, I want to make sure I do things right,” he said carefully. “I want -- you. Only you.”
His thumb caressed the skin of her cheek as fingertips gently threaded into her fiery locks. She lifted her chin and red-rimmed eyes met his gaze. Her hand connected to his chest like a magnet, the rhythm of his heart pounded beneath her fingertips.
“I’ve learned that there has never been a clearly defined right or wrong with us. This thing that we have is complicated.” her voice faded to a whisper. She searched his face noting a shine in his hazel eyes.
“Is that a bad thing?” Mulder asked tentatively, knitting his fingers with hers over his heart. She could no longer deny what she truly felt; he was hers and she was his. Despite higher forces trying to tear them apart, together they would walk side by side into the unknown.
“No,” the response was quiet but firm, “because I want this, too,” Scully said. Her lip trembled and he calmed it with another slow kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. A sigh escaped her mouth as he peppered kisses along her neck, tasting her pulse. Roaming hands connected to her waist following the natural curve to her hips, mouths met again and again. She tugged at his shirt, twisting soft cotton around her finger, lifting the material over taut lower abdominals. He parted for a breath and watched the rise and fall of her chest, a flash of gold resting on her sternum. He lightly grazed her rib cage forging a path northward. Warmth bloomed around her heart, flowed through her veins and plunged down to her center. She was aroused in the purest definition of the word. His thumb brushed across her breast and suddenly froze when she quickly covered his hand.
“I’m sorry, we can just…” he stammered.
“Don’t stop,” she said breathlessly as she undid the buttons on her shirt, slowly parting the curtain of silk revealing herself to him. She wanted him to see her, take her, love her for just one night. Things might change but it was a risk they both were willing to take.
He stared for a moment, hesitant to accept the offering in front of him. It was her turn to frame his face, an unspoken cue to proceed. A content grin crossed his lips. He cupped her perfect breast with one hand and noticed how she fit easily in his palm. Each squeeze and knead perking her nipple even more against the smooth fabric of her bra. He nipped at her clavicle, moving her shirt to expose the skin of her shoulder. He tasted Texas dust, salt, and the summer wind.
She licked her top lip and needed him more than ever. The flint was struck and a flame was growing. He pulled away for a moment to remove his shirt then flung it to the side. She was no stranger to his form; capable of seeing him strictly from a doctor’s perspective but this was vastly different. The details were smoother, softer, begging to be touched. Her fingertips ran a featherweight trail from defined pectorals to abs. He hummed with each caress. She felt a surge in her center and gently directed him further into his living room.
——-
The afternoon sunlight cast an array of jagged shadows along the walls of the apartment, but Mulder could only focus on the way the golden glow illuminated her. A guiding light to each new curve, each line, each angle. Worn leather the color of dark chocolate provided the altar. She, a goddess draped in white silk astride his lap, breasts rocking slightly against fabric and lace; he, a devout disciple eager to follow her guidance and show her boundless pleasure. His thumb worked a spiral with precision focus on damp black cotton that separated them. He could feel the small hairs on his bare thighs stand on end with each flutter of the hem of her shirt. Her petite frame worked in unison with his digit, punctuated vowels escaped her lips. She reached for him, unfurling tented boxer-briefs. A moist tip graced her palm, her languid strokes caused him to pause and loll his head back against the cushion.
He shifted suddenly and laid her down, noticing her cross fall into the pit of her throat. Light shone on perfect skin, enhancing the array of freckles across her chest. Clothing tugged aside allowing him entry. His finger traced her seam and ventured further into the dewy folds. Her back arched a perfect curve, hands stretched overhead reaching for the arm of the couch. Her breath came in short bursts as she gave in to his touch; it was so different from her own. He paused to reach down and lubricate himself with her arousal. She blinked lust-laden eyelids and licked her lip. Gently he slid inside, feeling the heat of her center. His first thrust caused a shudder, her grip tightened on the couch. She mewled when he found the deepest part of her.
“Yes Mulder,” she uttered through a moan, sucking on her lower lip. He drove deeper and deeper. His slick piston motored in and out, his breath ragged. She could feel herself tighten around him. One hand clasped the back of his neck, her thighs twitched, abdominals burned, she was so close now.
“Harder,” she begged, fingertips digging into his skin.
“Mm...Scully,” he said breathlessly. Her staccato exhale grew louder with each thrust. She never wanted him to stop.
“Oh god I’m..” she warned as a euphoric high traveled up her spine. She gasped and suddenly came hard against him. A cry escaped her lips, hips bucked fiercely. A thousand points of ecstasy lit up inside causing tears to well in her eyes. She let the wave wash over, drowned in the ultimate release. Every inch of her twitched and quivered and it felt right. God it felt so right.
------
The last rays of rosy sunlight had dipped behind the building across the way. A serene silence filled the room. He traced a line along her forehead then down her cheek. She closed her eyes and could feel a glow surround her. He pushed back with a shaky bicep and she caught her breath. He carefully rose from the couch, tucking himself back in and went to the kitchen. She righted herself then heard the rush of water from the faucet. A deep exhale and she swallowed back tears. Joyful tears. Her fingertips tapped against her cheeks then ran through her hair. Mulder soon returned with a towel and a full glass. He sat next to her and she let him dab the terrycloth on her abdomen. A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. She stood slowly to find the bathroom, he caught her hand with a signature caress of his thumb over her knuckles.
“I’ll be right back,” she said as she caught one more glimpse of his nearly naked frame sitting on the couch. A few minutes later she emerged, finishing the last button on her shirt.
“Are you alright?” Mulder asked as he leaned forward resting his elbows on his knees. Scully took a sip of water from the glass on the table.
“I’m fine,” she said with a nod of her head, “And I truly mean that. For the first time in a while I’m actually fine.” He got up from his seat, bending down to grab his jeans. After pulling them on she moved closer and wrapped her arms around his waist. A tear tracked down and absorbed into his skin.
“I’m sorry,” she said sheepishly, pulling away with her palm resting on her jawline.
“Hey hey,” he soothed.
“I know I just said I was fine but that um, that—was a lot for me,” she continued, wiping away tears, “A lot of good but...a lot.”
Her eyes lifted and she saw the smile on his face. He kissed her once again, tender and slow. They didn’t need to say much more. Not yet. She knew they still had to talk about re-assignment but that was a conversation for a later time. Once she got home and processed everything she would reach out to him. For now she just wanted to remember this moment exactly as it was.
Scully stepped away and collected her shoes, pulling them on as he finished getting dressed. She walked towards the door, crouching down to pick up her jacket but was startled when something fell from it. She folded the layer across her arm then bent lower and saw a fluff of yellow frantically kicking its legs. Her eyes widened.
“Mulder,” she called.
“What is it?” He asked, finishing off the glass of water. She rose with the insect pinched in between her fingertips and showed him. He held her hand closer to get a better look. “Wow. A stowaway.”
“Do you think it was from that facility?”
“Almost certain,” he said squinting, “Did it sting you?”
“No, I don’t think so. I found it on the floor when I got my jacket.”
“Wait a sec.”
He dashed to his desk and rummaged through the drawers looking for a container to house the bee. She met him halfway and placed the offender in its new holding cell. He took it from her and she went to wash her hands. When she came back in the room he was dialing the phone.
“Who are you calling?” she asked.
“Frohike. I want to have this thing analyzed.”
Scully thought for a moment as she shook her jacket then flipped the collar. Her hand went to the back of her neck, feeling nothing but the clasp of her necklace. Mulder was quick with the details and hung up just as fast. He noticed her fidgeting.
“I can’t believe that it was in my collar for that long,” she stated running her hand along her upper back, feeling a phantom itch.
“Hopefully we can get some more info about it. I have a theory and I’d really like to be wrong,” Mulder said, adjusting his shirt. “I’m just glad you weren’t stung.”
“Well, even if I was I don’t have an allergy.” She pulled on her jacket, fluffing it before tying it at the waist. Mulder finished fixing his shoes and grabbed his black leather jacket, pocketing his cell phone.
“Yeah, I don’t know if that would make a difference,” he said somewhat to himself while retrieving the bee. She followed him out the door.
As they waited for the elevator she shook her head.
“We can never catch a break, can we?”
He squeezed her hand, holding on to it as the chime sounded and the doors slid open.
Unspoken communication.
Side by side into the unknown.

Transfora: Your tool to becoming a sustainable New Yorker by Chloe Arenzana Du Boys
"Leading a sustainable lifestyle in metropolitan cities has become much harder to accomplish because of inconvenience, social constructs and difficulty in changing hard-wired habits. Transfora is a sustainability hub in New York City that provides its users with tools that help provide the essentials to live more sustainably in the city.
"Through a personalised immersive learning experience and a sustainable indoor market, users can learn and engage in eco-conscious actions that they can then easily implement into their lifestyles. It creates a community of 'green citizens' that support, motivate and help each other in their journey towards a sustainable lifestyle."
Student: Chloe Arenzana Du Boys Course: BFA Interior Design with minor in Design for Sustainability Email: [email protected]
In'terminal: Reunion District by James K. Jung
"In'terminal is a multi-modal transit hub that embodies the transformative power of architecture in the creation and evolution of the built environment. The project aims to redefine the streets not only as spaces in-between but as places to promote social interaction and refuge. It seeks to promote a sustainable urban lifestyle by transforming an abandoned parking garage into social infrastructure.
"By reconciling mobility as the public realm prioritising social capital, In'terminal adopts placemaking strategies layered in rich shared spaces where a community becomes the domain of many – a common network – woven with empathy to unify social identity and a sense of belonging."
Student: James K. Jung Course:  Master of Architecture Email: [email protected]
Rising With the Seas by Jillian Nadolski
"This project came as the result of a quarter-long design project for PRES 480 Studio VIII: Innovative Adaptation Collaborative Practicum with Professor CT Nguyen. My design solution was developed to prompt communities to start embracing climate change. It uses the industrial port of Porto Marghera, Italy, as a catalyst.
"The project is built around the idea of 'living with water'. It asks the question: what if we can rise with the seas instead of fighting it? This radical, integrative redevelopment plan hopes to put to rest the longstanding conflict of humans vs nature."
Student: Jillian Nadolski Course: BFA Preservation Design Email: [email protected]
Fleeting Moments by Kathryn Luu
"Situated in scenic Portland (OR), on the Oregon Pacific Railway (OPR), the proposed Caper Express provides an opportunity for adults to re-experience their childlike wonderment for the Polar Express anew through live 'theatrical dinner' mysteries. By repurposing OPR's defunct trains, adults can take part in immersive storytelling shows tailored to them. It's these fleeting moments that will linger as lifelong memories while the rest fade to grey."
Student: Kathryn Luu Course: BFA Preservation Design Email: [email protected]
Exploring the emerging Potentials Of Urban Infrastructure - The Hyperloop Urban Hub by Pranav A Ghadashi
"The future is bright, uncompromising and unstoppable! Technology is progressing at accelerating rates. Cities are experiencing a resurgence in population growth, which in turn is pushing transport systems to expand and improve.
"The thesis intends to design a portal that will introduce a new paradigm of transport, reconfigure the urban infrastructure and the mental mapping of a city and thus reshape our habitual understanding of distance and proximity.
"It proposes a hyperloop station that reconfigures the concept of 'regional becoming the new local'. It embraces the potential of transport and explores innovative sustainable strategies integrating the natural environment and urban functions."
Student: Pranav A Ghadashi Course: Master Of Architecture Email: [email protected]
The Nodal Connector, Incubator for the FinTech industry by Preethi Chitharanjan
"Nodal Connector is an incubator for the financial technology industry. It is a space dedicated to the development of the industry driven by diverse users and technology. The incubator is designed in the fast-growing city of Atlanta, Georgia.
"The nodal connector acts as a catalyst for research and workspaces, with the core idea to connect, collaborate and conserve through primary, secondary and tertiary interactions that influence spatial planning.
"These ideas are the macro, micro and nano-scale networking that happen with diverse users while also attracting the local neighbourhood. The project facilitates a collaborative approach in education, community-driven, professionals and corporate employees while prioritising creators."
Student: Preethi Chitharanjan Course: Master of Architecture Email: [email protected]
The Portal - Redefining the water transit of the city by stitching the land to the water by Sanjana Sanjay Vadhavkar
"This thesis aims to observe the decline in water-based travel in Mumbai and design a solution to the problem. To revitalise the essential industry for Mumbai, creating a water transit hub would reduce the load on other modes of transportation and transform the water-based industry in the city, bringing a new mode of transportation to Mumbai.
"To bring back the missing identity of a port city, the city plans to redevelop Mumbai's eastern waterfront. In addition to the proposal, this thesis seeks to bring about a change through architecture by resolving the current problems and proposing a terminal that will cope with the city's increasing population demands and give the region a renewed identity. It will be an epitome and a means for the city's potential water transport."
Student: Sanjana Sanjay Vadhavkar Course: Master of Architecture Email: [email protected]
Area 10: The Last Nuclear Bomb Memorial by Sophie Ribeiro
"As part of the Nevada Testing Site, Yucca Flat was the host for over 900 bomb tests. As a result, a crater on the site – Sedan Crater – is 300 feet deep and 1,150 in diameter. Sedan is the proposed site for the Area Ten Interpretation + Research Centre.
"Area Ten will inform people of nuclear war and the consequences of it on humanity and nature through learning spaces that use exhibitions, viewing points and atomic gardening – the study of plants that can grow from the radioactivity of the land.
"The goal is for visitors to leave with an understanding of the site's history and an awareness of the importance of peace."
Student: Sophie Ribeiro Course: BFA Architecture Email: [email protected]
+ by Tasha Akemah
"Almost a century ago, we thought that nuclear weapons were the solution for world peace, but history tells us otherwise. The detonation that ended world war two set humanity for a new course that would determine the future; our present.
"Currently, humanity is facing a similar war, except this time we have to fight it together. This project asks for repent against the crime that society has done to itself by offering hope. The architecture is composed of a series of experiences divided between the structure and the memorial.
"While the structure serves as a church that would house the procession, the memorial offers salvation. The main structure offers a diving facility, and the memorial will restore endangered coral reefs in the area. The war that we were fighting a hundred years ago may have different causes, but both were fighting for the same objective: humanity."
Student: Tasha Akemah Course: BFA Architecture and BFA Architectural History Email: [email protected]
Hiraeth by Teddy Breedlove
"Hiraeth is a collection of furniture designed for the high-end luxury market. The pandemic has made the home the centre of our lives again. It has become a place for personal expression and function.
"As a result, trends have begun to change from a minimalistic approach towards a more ostentatious design language. Hiraeth is contemporary in design language featuring soft curves, ribbing and a neutral colour palette. It brings a breath of fresh air into the home while keeping your soul at peace."
Student: Teddy Breedlove Course: BFA Furniture Design Email: [email protected]
Interwoven by Tingxin (TX) Zheng
"Under the business strategy of fast-fashion brands, disposable clothing is part of a trend toward fast fashion. Consumers start throwing away the old items they owned and moving on to the next trend quickly.
"Interwoven is a multi-functional space for exhibition, experience, retail, communication that connects to people's memories and clothes. It aims to bring the diluted awareness of cherishing clothing back to the people to drive the rebirth of old garments, promote sustainable fashion and inform the community about the increasingly negative effects of fast fashion."
Student: Tingxin (TX) Zheng Course: BFA Interior Design Email: [email protected]
Isabela Island: Infrastructure for Tourism and Conservation by Zhiying Deng
"The proposal is based on the analysis of the Galapagos Isabela Island's mangrove forests and the status of tourism on the island. It aims to provide tourists with a better chance to experience the island's natural resources while not disturbing its species.
"Paths and boat routes are designed within the mangrove forests to allow visitors to experience different mangrove zones and watch species within the habitat while other mangroves are conserved. The design also responds to the climate change and sea-level rise."
Student: Zhiying Deng Course: Master of Urban Design Email: [email protected]

Director Statement
Wildlife, across the world, face an unparalleled threat, the human population tsunami. Wildlife habitat is being destroyed to make way for human food production at an alarming rate. Without indigenous communities being incentivized by gaining positive benefits to conserve their wildlife, diversity of wildlife and entire populations of species may be lost forever. For more than three years, our cameras documented the trials and tribulations of this remote community and their struggle to lift themselves out of poverty. The story has major ups and huge downs, but in the end wildlife populations are rebounding. The people now have hope their future will be bright.

Killing the Shepherd
A remote community in Africa, led by a woman chief, attempts to break the stranglehold of absolute poverty by waging a war on wildlife poaching. For decades illegal wildlife poaching by both subsistence and bush meat gangs has led to the government declaring this community’s homeland “depleted” of wildlife.
The chief finds help in the form of a safari operator and they work together to bring stability to the community. But all was not well. Disease, food stability, and rampant alcoholism hamper basic needs like health care and education. Even young girls, just after reaching puberty, are sold by their parents as child brides in order to feed their family for one year. Dark forces including South African land speculators, criminal poaching gangs, and her own people conspire against the chief. Even elements from the modern world work against the chief’s wishes.
Will the chief and her community see success?

Cousera -Data Management and Visualization
After looking through the codebook for the GapMinder study, I have decided that I am particularly interested in how income depends on the life expectancy of a person. I am not sure which variables I will use regarding how income depends on life expectancy, so for now I will include all of the relevant variables in my personal codebook.
While income level depends on the life expectancy of a person is a good starting point, I need to determine what it is about income level depends on life expectancy that I am interested in.Life expectancy is one of the major summary that measures  the health and well-being of a population. A nation’s life expectancy affects its social and economic conditions and the quality of its public health and healthcare infrastructure, among other factors.
I decided that I am most interested in exploring the association between the level of income of a nation and their life expectancy. I add to codebook variables reflecting income levels(e.g. Literacy level and employment)
The second topic that I want to explore with associate to my original topic is how natural climate of a country affects its life expectancy.
 Codebook
 Variable  Name
1.Income  per person
Average  income earned by a person
2.Employ  rate
The  percentage of total population that has been employed
3.Education  level
The  level of literacy of the nation
4.Quality  of health
services
The  quality of health care
5.Nutrition  level
The  nutrition level of  a person
 Literature Review
Shortcomings in socio-ecological perspective are a primary source of inequality. Inequalities in national income, education, labor productivity, and social security have negative ramifications for health promotion development . From a socio-ecological perspective, income inequality (GC), education attainment (MSE and FSE), and labor productivity (OPW) and social security (OPR) have significantly improved over time, but have not led to perfect socio-ecological equity.(Jong In Kim and Gukbin Kim,2018)Life expectancy increases continuously with income. At the age of 40 years, the gap in life expectancy between individuals in the top and bottom 1% of the income distribution in the United States is 15 years for men and 10 years for women.(Raj Chetti,2016)The resources of health systems are measured by several indicators such as health expenditures (total expenditures on health per capita, health expenditure as % of GDP, % of public expenditure in total health expenditure), number of physicians, number of hospital beds, number of computed tomography scanners (2000; Ramesh and Mirmirani, 2007, Baltagi and Moscone, 2010).
Hypothesis
According to the variables that I have selected; Life expectancy increases with income. And also unemployment reduces the life expectancy. When a large number of people cannot find work they lose more than money. Many lose their lives.I t can be concluded that higher the education life expectancy also in a higher state. The necessity of more healthcare resources and higher levels of socioeconomic advantages are more likely to increase life expectancy. And finally the quality of heath care directly affects the life expectancy of the country.
